Create custom task schedule

This is probably a very basic question but any feedback would be great.
I'm trying to delete users 30 days after they were disabled in OIM. I created a custom task for this and placed it in the ScheduleTask folder under OIM_HOME (that compares current date with end date). When I actually try to create a schedule task using the path in this jar file, I get an error: Task class name com.oracle.events not present in Scheduler. Insert Failed.
Am I not putting it in the right place? Is there something else I could do instead to trigger off a Delete for all users who have been disabled for 30 days?
Thanks.

You are putting at the right place. Can you just give a try after putting that JAR file in Java Task folder. It also works from there.
Just to test.

  • How to set Mandatory Choice field while Creating Custom Task using Sharepoint Designer 2007

    Hi,
    I am new to Sharepoint development.I dont know whether i am posting  the question in Correct place.Kindly redirect me to the correct place if i am posting it in wrong place.
    I  created a custom task in Sharepoint Designer 2007 using
    Collect Data from User
    Action.
    I created a field in the task form which is of choice type and
    unchecked allow blank values
    because i  wanted that field to be a mandatory field.When i handled that task ,i was able to complete that task
    without selecting that mandatory field.But, I was expecting not to allow me to complete the task without selecting that field. Kindly  tell me how to set the choice field as mandatory.

    Hi,
    You are using SharePoint Designer 2007, so I moved the thread to the appropriate forum for MOSS 2007.
    This is by design that
    Workflow-generated form (for action Collect data from User) does not perform validation properly on drop-down choices, the workaround is to use JavaScript to perform the field validation.
    This thread has the JavaScript code can help you:

  • Creating customized Tasks

    Hi I was wondering how one can create cusomized tasks through wlpi. Basically, We have some additional data related to a task which wlpi TaskInfo does not? I was wondering if there is a way to create subclass of TaskInfo and ask wlpi to instantiate that subclass when a new task is created?Also, How can we change attributes like task comments during run-time?Any help in this direction is appreciated.ThanksGurb

    Hi,
    You can also add multiple users to the same task / use book of business to restrict visibility to desired set of users. Not sure whether it makes relevance to your question :-)

  • Can't create custom task

    Dear all,
    i have created new class object A and method B. it was already activated. now i want to create standard task, i choose ABAP class for object category and choose class A for object type, but when i input method B for method there is an error message that says "Interface implementation IF_WORKFLOW does not exist", i checked the class and saw that interface IF_WORKFLOW was there already, is there something i miss?

    Check whether the ethod is properly implemented. Or just logout and login and try to do it all over again.  I faced this issue and this resolved.

  • Using attachments in work-flow and creating custom text with key values

    Hi,
    I have 2 simple requirements.
    1. how to attach a tcode or trigger method of business object for work-flow item. The user should be able to navigate to transaction to see data before approval or rejection.
    2. I have created custom task for long text that will be displayed in the SAP inbox. How do I provide key values in this long text.  I was able to do in the subject line using Substitution parameters(&Name1& etc..)
    Regards
    Kasi

    I did the same thing. see details.
    Created Workitem and attached a task "TS92500097". in the task, I mentioned Business Object and method to be called. I have set the binding also for this business object. the method I am calling is nothing but just "display" which is using call transaction.  2 problems here.
    1. How do I show  this "BusinessObject.Display" as an attachment or link in the mail.
    2. how do I assign key values during exection of this attachment or link.

  • How to REpublish Custom Task Forms (InfoPath) to SharePoint 2010 State Machine Workflows

    I am new to SharePoint. Sorry if answer to my question is obvious.
    I've create Custom Task Form in InfoPath and publish it (File/Publish/Network Location [Form Template Path and filename='MYPROJECT/Forms/ApprovalForm.xsn'; Form template name='ApprovalForm'], in the next window I've cleared Public URL according to the articlehttp://www.codeproject.com/Articles/195348/SharePoint-2010-State-Machine-Workflows-with-Custo).
    After it I've added module Forms, and added ApprovalForm.xsn from the existing items.
    My xml files: Elements.xml
    <Elements xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/">
    <Workflow
    Name="Order New Server"
    Description="My SharePoint Workflow"
    Id="482cbc86-b717-4981-a49a-3cf4c89e9399"
    CodeBesideClass="Myproj.OrderNewServer.OrderNewServer"
    CodeBesideAssembly="$assemblyname$"

    <Properties>
    <Property Key="GloballyAvailable" Value="true" />
    <Property Key="RegisterForms" Value="Forms\*.xsn"/>
    </Properties>
    </Feature>
    My form work fine, but when I make changes and republish it, it doesn't update (I see old form). What I tryed:
    IISReset
    Clear all cookies and cache in IE
    Retract solution, restart VS2010, reboot computer.
    Change assembly number, guid.
    I have no ideas, what can I try for republish my form with changes.
    Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
    PS: sorry for my writing. English is not my native language.
    PPS: when I save new Form to new location and add it to the project, it works.

    I've found how can I republish changes. But it seems more like crutch than solution, but it works:
    After republishing InfoPath form, I delete file from project (DEL on ApprovalForm.xsn in Solution explorer) and after it add it again. (Add/Existing Item). And then redeploy! Hurray!
    Is there any way to redeploy a Task Form directly on the server without importing it in Visual Studio again? I am using some data connections in my task form which are different for different environments (staging, dev. etc.). Seems like I've to create a separate
    Workflow WSP file for each envrionment. Any comments?

  • KM Task Scheduler: How to create custom/editable properties?

    Dear All,
    I created a KM Scheduler Task using the NDWS Wizard.
    The application was successfully deployed and the task runs fine. However, I would like to define some custom properties that could be edited by using the portal, like the standard ones such as Priority, CM Systems, etc.
    Is that possible?
    I already tried to add it in the portalapp.xml, and also in the auto generated files that are in data and meta folders (..co.xml), but the new properties have not appeared in the screen.
    Thanks in advance,
    Marco

    Hi Romano,
    Thanks for the input.
    Do you know in which of the .co.xml files should be added? There is one in "data" and another in "meta" folders.
    The one in "data" folder (actually in one of the subfolders of "data folder") has the following content:
    <?xml version="1.0"  encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <Configurable configclass="domain.task">
    <property name="name" value="domain.task" />
    <property name="active" value="true" />
    <property name="description" value="Task Test" />
    </Configurable>
    I added in this file a new property but no result.
    The one in meta folder (also in a subfolder of it) has the following:
    <ConfigClass name="domain.task"  extends="SchedulerTask">
    <attribute name="class" type="class" constant="domain.task"/>
    </ConfigClass>
    In this one when I tried to add a new property the task simple does not show, maybe I am not using the correct syntax.
    Do you know in which of these files I should put the custom property and using which syntax?
    Thanks in advance,
    Marco

  • Server 2008 R2: Setting up a custom schedule with task scheduler

    I am trying to schedule a task using Server 2008 R2 Task Scheduler
    I've been googling and searching for an answer on how to do this. I could easily do it on Server 2003.
    I need to run a program (custom) that updates some tables in a database.
    I need to run it Monday thru Saturday at 20 minutes after the hour from 7:20 am through 5:20pm. Not on Sunday and not at night (only normal business hours)
    These are the steps I am following: I create task, General, I enter the description, Then triggers, new, select weekly, select start date and time, select the days I want (every day except sunday), repeat the task every hour, for a duration of (all I can
    choose is 12 hours).. This is where I am stuck. I guess I could choose 12 hours but I need it to stop at 5:20 pm not 7:20pm. Has anybody done something similar to this?

    Go ahead and choose something appropriate in dropdowns on Edit Trigger then over-type them with whatever you want.

  • Create task from conversation thread in news feed - Task must be created in custom task list

    Hi All,<o:p></o:p>
    Have a new requirement
    were user should be able to create a task for himself from a conversational
    thread in News feed.<o:p></o:p>
    In
    SharePoint 2013 we have a functionality where we can follow up on a
    conversation and it creates a task in My Tasks which is in My site.<o:p></o:p>
    But my requirement
    is to create a task in Tasks list in same site collection on click of follow
    up.<o:p></o:p>
    I have
    tried one approach as below :<o:p></o:p>
    My Tasks in
    My site is an aggregated view of all tasks assigned to the logged in user. When
    i follow a task in News feed a personal task is created in My task
    (WmaAggregatorList_User internal name) list. When i Edit the personal task and
    change the Projects
    drop down to the required Project Name and Check -"Make this task public to project
    members" it just creates a task is specific Site and moves
    the task.<o:p></o:p>
    I tried to
    find if Projects and Check box are columns of Task list , but did not find any
    columns.<o:p></o:p>
    I am trying
    to create a event receiver which would make these columns be set to Site Name
    and check box checked so that when user creates a task it will directly move to
    Custom Task list.<o:p></o:p>
    Please
    guide <o:p></o:p>
    Thanks in
    Advance<o:p></o:p>

    Thank you for your responce. I used a content query wp to rollup only the Major Milestones, but am unable to overlay the results to a calendar.. The link you provided is for overlaying different task lists onto a calendar, but does not detail how to
    overlay the results from the content query onto a calendar.

  • Creating a Custom Task for an external application

    Hi
    I want to create a custom task for our records management system, that just opens a particular file people use from within Incident Management every day.
    The file is of extension .tr5 (which is our records management tool).  I can open the file on my desktop.  When I create the custom task, using the same file - I get a message ' The specified executable is not a valid Win32 application'
    I can open the application fine using the custom task, but not the file.
    Could it because there is no relationship from SCSM to the file type?
    Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Are you using the executable exe file and the filename as a parameter in the custom task?

    Hi AG,
    I tried to do that but it's not working.
    But I did something similar for auto-delete of flashback logs and it works but the backup thing aint working.
    What can I do?
    Here is what I did for the auto-flashback delete
    =======
    RunSQL.bat
    =======
    -- content of RunSQL.bat
    @ECHO OFF
    TITLE Resetting Flashback Logs
    CLS
    ECHO Please be patient. This will take some time.
    ECHO.
    ECHO.
    SET ORACLE_SID=PROD
    sqlplus.exe /nolog @del_flashback.sql
    ECHO.
    ECHO.
    ECHO FLASHBACKs reset. Please continue with your other procedures.
    ECHO.

    del_flashback.sql
    ==========
    -- content of del_flashback.sql
    connect /nolog
    conn sys/oracle as sysdba
    SHOW USER
    shutdown immediate
    startup mount
    alter database flashback off;
    alter database flashback on;
    alter database open;
    SHOW USER
    exit
    This works, but when I did the same with RMAN backup it doesn't.
    Any more help please?

  • Creating a custom task that pulls an SCCM report

    I currently have a custom task in SCSM that uses the web address of an existing ECCM report to list all computers with username. I want to make another task taht will allow the tech to enter the computer name and get the list of installed software from
    SCCM. Using the iexplore.exe and the parameter address of the report doesn't allow them to enter the computer name, or to change it. That prompt normally comes up in SCCM before it opens the browser window, so I am not sure how to put that in as a parameter.

    Are you using the executable exe file and the filename as a parameter in the custom task?

  • Error when using Windows Task Scheduler in C#

    I am using Windows Task Scheduler in my Visual C# application. I add the reference to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\taskschd.dll (on a 64-bit system), and Visual Studio creates a COM wrapper Interop.TaskScheduler.dll. Ths works fine on Windows 7. However, when
    I run on Windows 8.1, I get the following error:
    Unable to cast COM object of type 'System.__ComObject' to interface type 'TaskScheduler.IExecAction'.
    This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID
    '{4C3D624D-FD6B-49A3-B9B7-09CB3CD3F047}' failed due to the following error:
    No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)).
    I noticed that on Windows 7, the above GUID exists in the registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface, with the value "IExecAction". But on Windows 8.1, there is no such GUID, and no key with value "IExecAction". I use IExecAction
    in my code.
    When I develop on Windows 8.1, the program compiles, but at runtime I get the above error.

    Hello tomszms,
    Here is a blog related to this issue and the troubleshoot steps of his error is very useful for your case, so please check for it:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/smondal/archive/2012/10/02/unable-to-cast-com-object-of-type-system-comobject-to-interface-type-microsoft-visualstudio-ole-interop-iserviceprovider.aspx
    Please try use the same way to track the logs and then try use the regsvr32
    on your Win 8 machine to re-register that dll and see the result.
