Create dropdown with the webservice response

Hi experts,
I'm beginner in webdynpro and I need create a screen which will have a field of type Dropdown with the values obtanied from a webservice call, once selected the value of the list and filled others fields of the form, other webservice must be called to obtained the webservice information.
Could everyone help me please?

Create a dropDownByIndex element and bind it to ur Response
object attribute of web service which u need to show in the
dropdown.
On ontoggle event of dropdown by index write ur required code
to call another webservice.
In order to get the selected value from the dropdown just get
the current value of the bound attribute .Using this value u
can call another web service.
Iam assuming u r calling ur first web service in ur init() method.

Follow the example comes with the BPEL PM, i can invoke the BPEL process in a J2EE project (with the webservice interface). The example named "UseStockReviewSheet".

I can invoke my BPEL process in BPEL console, not in J2EE project. bpws:getVariableData('input','payload','/tns:CreditFlowRequest/tns:input')" is null.
The error message contains some Chineses word. I'm new to BPEL, hope someone can give me a hint on how to solve this problem.

Requirement
When user click on link, system should create folder with the name of expense report number in SHAREPOINT and copy copies of expense receipts in the created folder in SHAREPOINT.

OAF no api as such for this kind of customization. Rather try developing some web service or something similar which can be invoked from the custom link to do the job.

Problem with creating links with the WPC (SP14)

Hi,
I have a problem creating links with the WPC (SP14): When I want to create internal links (Browse and select the target item) via the right button (choosing a website as a reference link). If I do so I encounter the problems either that the linked site (outside the WPC) shows a blue background and/ or has no navigation frame (on the left side & no breadcrumb-navigation on top).
If I create links with the left button in the WPC via URLs I have the problem with the inserted URL, because sometimes (I don't know why und when) some parts of the code in the URL changes, so that the linked Website is empty (besides the navigation fram - the content isn't displayed anymore). To me it looks like as if the originally website cannot be "found" anymore.
Does anyone has the same problems and is eventually able to help me? This would be really great. Thanks!

I thought it may be related to spaces in the path in which the script was called from. I tried having the ODBC command script in another directory but the same thing happens. It will give me the "CONFIGSYSDSN: Unable to create a data source for the 'Oracle in OraClient10g_home1' driver: Could not load the setup or translator library with error code -2147467259". As soon as the script is done running I can manually double click the script and it adds the DSN fine.

Creating sandboxes with the admin api

I'm trying to write some code that creates sandboxes through
the admin api. For these sandboxes, I want to only enable a
specific set of functions. Unfortunately, when you create a sandbox
with getSecuritySandboxes, it enables all functions by default. I
therefore need to disable all the securable functions before
enabling the ones I trust. I've run into two problems in doing
this, and wondered if anyone had any advice.
1) The api provides a function called
getSecurableCFFunctions, which is meant to return all the functions
that can be secured. Unfortunately, the function list returned by
this function is not complete - it is missing createobject(com),
createobject(corba), createobject(java), createobject(webservice),
getgatewayhelper and sendgatewaymessage. There's no way of finding
out the enabled functions for a sandbox, so I've currently had to
resort to disabling all the functions returned by
getSecurableCFFunctions and then adding in the ones that I know are
missing. This approach is likely to be broken when future releases
of CF add new securable functions.
2) I use setDisabledCFFunction to disable functions, but can
find no way of disabling createobject(com), createobject(corba),
createobject(java) or createobject(webservice) with this function.
When I try, it throws an exception with this message: "This
function can not be added to the restricted function list.". These
functions are in the function list in the administrator, and I can
add them there. Is there any way of securing them through the api?

Set up a "template" sandbox that has the permissions you

I'm fairly new to JDeveloper and OC4J and am trying to configure the new Financial Brokerage Service (IBFBS) sample to run on my system. I followed all of the setup instructions but have had problems getting the application to work. I've worked through a few issues, but I'm stuck on this one. When deploying/running the application to the JDev embedded OC4J an error occurs when trying to auto-create the tables for some of the EJBs. The error messages are all similar to this:

Firstly, regret for the late response.
I guess what you are trying to do is run the Sample from JDeveloper itself. But this cannot be done, you have to deploy the
sample to the embedded OC4J(<JDEV_HOME>/j2ee/home) bundled with JDev and run the sample from embedded OC4J.
Refer to http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/tutorials/fbs/over/setup.htm and follow the steps to deploy to OC4J.
Curious to know if you were able to run it.

Dropdown with the help of webelements.

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement in crystal reports for enterprise to show a dropdown having more than thousand values in it. If i go for a simple dropdown, It will be a huge list and difficult for the user to find the value from a huge list. Can you suggest any better way to implement it?
I heard about webelements in Crystal reports. With the help of webelements can i make the dropdown selection easier? I would be grateful if you can provide me with inputs.

that's actually why it was built, to make parameter selection easier for the end user.
if you have a bunch of parameters on a report and then refresh the report, the default prompt page can be baffling to the end user...it ends up being this long interface wherein the end user has to ensure that they fill in values as they scroll down. as the report developer is unable to actually embed instructions into the prompt page, or provide default values for all prompts (like dates), or to even hide or then show specific controls, it is not very friendly.
with the webelements functions you can create a graphical interface at the top of a report as in the provided live example or create a separate report that acts as the interface. since you are using crystal reports to design this you have flexibility in what you show and how you show it.
the example provided shows how to take way over 1000 values and break it down into usable controls.

Give a file with the SOAP response

Hello experts!
I'd like to ask you about the next situation on our PI 7.0:
I have to make a scenario like this: SOAP -> XI -> RFC
After a validation on the ECC side, in the the response.. I have to pick up a File (that come as the request from the webservice with his directory) and give it back to the Web Service.
At the start I thought to do it with a BPM.. but the the issue is that the FileName and Direcory will be dynamic (the WS is going to request different files from diff. directories) and also, the WS response need the file, for example, lile a byte array.
Is it possible?
Please if it isn't fully explained tell me.

Is it possible to ask user a text, and create watermark with the answer?

I am using the action wizard combined with preflight profiles to make some arrangements in the pdf I get from my customers.
I usually create a watermark and introduce it without problems, but I would like to go further, introducing a code number that changes for every item as a watermark.
It would be interesting that Acrobat asked the user that code number, and acrobat put that information in the bottom-center or the existing page...
Is that possible with the action wizard, or should I look for information in the javascript forum?

then used the Memory explorer to browse the memory card, and click on the HTM file.

RFC function module always creating BPs with the same user name (RFC user )

I posted the below question in a different area before. But thought it would be more suitable here.
Moderators - Please let me know if am doing any mistake.
Question:
I have a RFC function module in CRM that creates Business Partners in ECC (XD01 tcode).
I am using a dialog RFC destination configured in SM59 in CRM.
But my RFC function module in CRM is always creating the Business Partners in ECC with the RFC user id (the user that we maintain for the RFC destination in SM59).
This is a problem for the users because they are not able to track the actual person responsible for creating these Business Partners.
Can somebody please let me know how to solve this problem?

Hi.
You may use the trust relationship between CRM and R/3 and in SM59 instead of set a specific username, you set the flag "current user".
With this flag, the system will access R/3 system with the user logged in CRM system. The Trust relationship must be created between CRM and R/3 in order to the system doesn't ask for a password to login in R/3.

How to Create Charts with the variable value

Hi,
I have to create a crystal report in which i have given variable under "Facility:". I have kept two variables under facility of which one is like you can select one or more values and other one u can select only one value and i mentioned it as mandatory.
What i wanted is, I have to create a bar chart based on the facility . I also want to create a pie chart using the value of facility which comes from the mandatory variable.
To be more clear, I selected two facilities, say X & Y under the first variable and one facility, say Z under the second variable (mandatory). I was able to prepare bar chart with these three facilities. Now i want to prepare a pie chart using the value Z.
Can anyone please help me out?

The AxisBuilders which also derive from RegionBuilder work because they don't define their own create method with obscure generic type info.

It seems you have hit a limitation of the Oracle version, which you don't post.
Limitations are sometimes also called a 'feature'.
You would need to find out whether this restriction has been lifted in a subsequent release or redesign your application.
