Create DVD backup copy of Elements 10

I purchased online and downloaded the software.  How do I create a DVD back-up of the software for the future, just in case?

Hi,
The download link will remain in your account for a while.
You can go ahead and copy the downloaded files into a disc, flash drive or copy it on your hard drive and that will serve as a back up.
Hope this helps.

How can I create DVD label using Photoshop Elements 10?
    Richard

You can create the design for a DVD label in Create>More Options. Once you have the label set up, you would copy it to a template for the labels you plan to use. (The PSE template makes one label, while most printed labels are two-up.)

  • I can't make a DVD backup copy of my Adobe Online Storage

I can't make a DVD backup copy of my Adobe Online Storage File. How do you do it?
    David

    Hello David,
I would suggest to use the Adobe Media Downloader to download your images
Click here to archive your Photoshop.com library so you do not lose any files.
You will be asked to download an Adobe Air application called Media Downloader.
Then you can use your Dvd buring software to make a back up of your images
    Thanks

  • Dowloading a backup copy of elements 12

I read that in addition to my main downloaded copy of Elements 12, I can download a backup copy of the program to a DVD.  How do I do that?

    Hi lumenpro,
Thanks for posting on Adobe forum.
You can download Photoshop Elements 12 from this link:  http://www.adobe.com/go/tryphotoshop_elements/
After successful download, burn this to the DVD. It will be your backup copy.
    Thanks,

  • Create DVD backup

It it possible to create a boot disk on CDROM, but this limits the size to 650 MB (roughly). Is it possible to make a boot disk in DVD format, and if so, can it be done by burning all the relevant files on a Win 2k DVD burner? Our rep is suggesting a $4,500 Sun compatible DVD writer and software package. Certainly, I can see no reason why the files cannot be burned on Windows, but I am not certain. Any thoughts?

There is a Blue Print document, Building a Bootable DVD to Deploy a Solaris Flash Archive.
Having said that I am following it to a "T" but I am getting fwrite errors ay 87.26%.
My plan is to first create the image then any burner can can burn the image. The Addonics DVD/CD burner I have is connected using USB to a SunBlade 100 running Solaris 9 and also to my notebook running 2000.
But I am still working on getting the mkisofs command to complete with no errors

  • Creating An Automation - Copy, Archive

    Hi,
I'm new to Final Cut Server (FC Server) and learning it now.
Have a few questions, searched the internet for answers but still hope for assistance here.
    - Within "Search Expired" response, what is the purpose of "Event Type"?
    - Within "Subscription" trigger, what is the purpose of "Event Type Filter"?
I'm trying to achieve these workflows,
    1. Create a backup copy of the FC Server "Asset Library" onto another "device"
    2. Create a archive, when the asset is last accessed or modified for certain days
For the above, I create 2 "Subscriptions".
Subscription 1 has 2 responses, Event Type Filter = Custom 1
    1st response is "Search Expired",
    - Event Type = Custom 1
    - File Creation Date = Last 24 Hours
    2nd response is "Copy",
    - Destination = Xsan Device (SNFS/Storage Manager Volume)
Subscription 2 has 2 responses, Event Type Filter = Custom 2
    1st response is "Search Expired",
    - Event Type = Custom 2
    - Last Modified = 2 Day
2nd response is "Move to Archive",
    - Destination = Archive Device (SNFS/Storage Manager Volume)
I tried creating Schedulers using the same responses above, but no success as well.
    Hope someone can advice me.
Hope you can share if there is a website which has instructions on creating automations.
    Cheers,
    Ben

Here is the link for the release notes that explain about Event type filter in subscriptions. Basically it tell the subscription the event (on the asset) that will trigger the response (when you "create" an asset, when an asset is "modified", etc)
    http://www.apple.com/support/releasenotes/en/FinalCut_Server_1.0rn/
I think you are doing it backwards with the search expired. The first mistake you are making is that you can only trigger search expired responses with Schedules (you can check this in the setup guide page 199)
This is how I'll do it.
First make a schedule (that runs whenever you need it to run) that trigger the 1st search expired response (Event type custom1) Here you can add some filters so you'll only affect some assets if you want to
Second create a Subscription with event type filter = custom 1 that will trigger the Copy response
For the Archive response is all the same but remember to use custom2 event
I haven't test this myself but it should work.
Let me know if it does.
    Best regards

  • Saving a backup copy of Sent IMAP messages locally due to Sent IMAP messages occasionally disappearing

THE PROBLEM - OCCASIONAL MISSING SENT MESSAGES
As you likely know, quite a few Users have an issue with Mac mail in which every now and then when they send a message the status bar in the lower lefthand corner will hang for a few seconds, the message will be sent after an unusually long delay in sending, and then it will literally disappear in that you cannot find it in the Sent mailbox (or anywhere.) This isn't a new problem to OS X Mail app, and after hours and hours of research, consulting with email and Mac gurus, consulting email providers, trying every setting option from both the Mail app end and the IMAP sever end, and seeing how many others have this exact same issue, I am 100% sure that this is a problem with the Mail application in OS X itself. To date (Feb 4, 2015, OS X 10.10.2 and earlier versions), this problem is yet to be resolved.
IF IT CAN'T BE FIXED, THEN WE NEED SOME SORT OF WORKAROUND
Since I am almost positive that fixing this issue is beyond my control, I am giving up on trying to fix it. However, that still leaves me with a very big problem that harms my own productivity. Subsequently, I need a workaround (quite a few people do, actually.) If a workaround isn't possible, I may have to abandon Mail in favor of another application, which I would prefer not to do.
MY ROUGH WORKAROUND IDEA...ANY THOUGHTS/EXPERIENCES ON HOW TO BEST ACCOMPLISH THIS???
My thought is that if we can get Mail to save a secondary copy of every Sent message to another folder/mailbox that this may save the lost messages so that I can retrieve them in the event they are needed.
The best idea I have thus far is to have Mail create a backup copy of any and every Sent message and to store it on the local disk in a folder/mailbox. This copy would need to be saved immediately at (or immediately prior to) the point of sending so that the message is copied PRIOR to pushing it through the IMAP server (because that is the point in which the message disappears and so copying after sending through a ghost of the IMAP would be too late.)
What do you think the best way to go about doing this would be?...the use of Rules perhaps? I'd like to know how your would go or have gone about doing this, as well as any results noticed. Thanks for the help!

Since you indicated you have an IMAP account, sent messages should still be on the server. Depending on your email provider you are using, you could go to the webmail site for it and see if the sent messages are there. You should check your settings there and make sure it's set to save a copy of the sent message and how it handles it. For IMAP, it's the server's responsibility to save the message, not the computer. The sent message is just a reflected copy on the computer of what's on the server.
I'm not saying there isn't a problem on the computer. Have you tried rebuilding the sent mailbox? Once you rebuild it, quit mail and relaunch it.
If you send messages from the computer and not so much from other devices, you could uncheck store sent messages on the server. This will create a local sent mailbox on the computer. Maybe that will work better for you.
You could also open mail preferences in the composing tab. Check to automatically CC yourself when sending a message. That way you will also get a copy.

  • How do I create a dvd backup of library in the very latest iTunes, with windows xp?

How do I create a dvd backup of library with itunes version 11.1.4.62? Using windows xp.

    Hi meatmailbox,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
The best way to backup your iTunes library is to an external hard drive.  The article below will explain how to do this.   If you want the files on a CD or DVD, you would need to create playlists.  I'll include that information as well.

  • Make Backup Copy of Installation DVD

Trying to make backup copy of the SL installation DVD for my current model iMac . But I can't copy to a blank DVD (4.7 GB capacity) because image is 5.74 GB. Should I use a double layer DVD- and if so, what brands will work in the iMac?

While you're at it, if you have 8-10 GB free on a hard drive, create a partition and use the Restore tab of +Disk Utility+ to copy it there, too.
Then you can boot up and run from it instead of finding the disc (and it will boot and run much faster, too!).

  • Possible to make backup copy of Tiger DVD?

I'd like to make a backup copy of my Tiger DVD, just to be safe. I've tried to do this with Toast Titanium and also simply copying the DVD files to my hard drive first. Both don't seem to work.
Isn't this possible? What if this thing gets damaged? Or am I being naive in thinking Apple would allow such a thing?
    Thanks for any help!

The disks which came with each Mac are indeed system specific. However, retail disks which are newer than those systems are not system specific.
Some may believe that they are not system specific, and I've seen them post here. Though these links should satisfy most people's need for clarity:

    bobby

    Bobby,
I am not aware of any tutorials on this, but there are probably many out there. [Edit] As John pointed out down thread.
My advice would be to gather up some blank paper, scissors, a ruler and pen. Create a New Image to the dimensions of an existing DVD insert at the ppi/dpi of your printer (probably around 200 - 240). Create a new Layer and turn the Grid on, with Snap to Grid on. Using your ruler, and maybe the pen to draw out the elements (front cover, back cover and spine), use the Pen Tool to recreate this layout. Choose Stroke Work Path (Path's Palette) to get guidelines. Remember to set your Pencil Tool and color before you Stroke Path so you can see your lines, in a color that will be obvious. This will be your layout and your "template," and should be Saved to a handly location on your system. Maybe even make a copy of it elsewhere, in case you forget to d a Save_As, when you start editing. You can even make notes to yourself as to orientation for each panel, etc. I'd put these layout items in a separate Layer Set for ease in the next operation. Take a look at your 8.5 x 11 paper (if that is what you'll print to) and lay your sample DVD insert over it to determine where you'll want your Crop Marks. I'd probably choose two sides, if you can print borderless, and then draw in the other two sides with a thin Stroke on another Layer. This one WILL be left ON, when you print, so you can take to them with the scissors.
Open your "template" and leave visibility ON for that Layer Set. Do your image and text work, based on that layout. During this process, you can turn OFF your Text Layers, with your "instructions" and annotations, to keep your view clean. When done, turn OFF visibility for the layout Layer Set, and send your image to your printer. Trim that output and insert it. Does it work? If not, modify the layout.
If you have a lot of different cases, do one for each and name accordingly. The secret is when you Open that template, immediately do a Save_As with your Project's name, as you do NOT was to Save over your template. That is why I suggested making a copy of each elsewhere - "stuff" happens. For most of my templates, I set their attributes to Read Only, and just click out of the warning message about having to Save with another name.
Good luck, and if I do find a tutorial, I'll post for you. Also, there may well be premade templates for common DVD cases, however as there are several, yours might/might not fit those. That is why I do them as I need them.
