Create Installer Fail, but Application success. HELP, URGENT!

Hi all,
I met a strange problem. My labview 8.5 PDS failed to create Installer, yet the application can be built and run. When I want to create the installer, no information in the "Additional Installer", and no *.bld files created. When I want to build it, some error information reported as below:
"CDK_Build_Invoke.vi.ProxyCaller >> CDK_Build_Invoke.vi >> CDK_Engine_Main.vi >> CDK_Engine_PreBuild.vi >> CDK_Validate_DistParts.vi >> CDK_DistParts_GetInstalledProducts.vi >> NI_MDF.lvlib:MDFProdInfoList_Open.vi" .
When I tried to create a simple vi show a random number, the application can run, the installer can not be built. Additional Information: Before I re-install my windows xp, the Labview Application Builder worked.

I've even tried to re-install LabView including deleting LabView related registry key value.

MaGH, I've having a very similar issue with LV2009.
The build was unseccessful.

"Intsallation failed" but application functioning

Hi;
On a new computer I installed CS2. (I like some things in that suite, like ImageReady). It asks me to activate, which doesnt work ("Activation server unavailable" which doesnt really surprise). 2nd time it says my 30 day trial has expired when I try to activate. So I cant use it. I explain this because it may be related to my CC problem.
I installed CS5 (I write courses and still have some CS5 students).
Both CS2 and 5 are on my own Adobe account. They are installed on D (big HD).
Then I installed the CC Application Manager, on the account of the company I work for. All CC stuff on C (SSD).
I installed PS. At the end it said "Installation failed", but PS 2014 works fine.
I need to install a lot more, MU, ID, AI... and also (other students) the CS6 versions.
I see on C in /Program Files (x86)/ an /Adobe/Adobe Creative Cloud/ folder, while in /Program Files/ I have /Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CC 2014/ (all this managed by the Application Manager).
How shall I proceed?

CS4 deployment kit - created installer fails

Hi I've used the deployment kit to create a Uberinstaller, but it keeps failing with the following message in the log:

I see there is an issue with the language pack. I'm not sure how it en_GB isn't supported. Is this an OS feature or am I missing somthing in the installer package?

I've had similar frustrations with the Deployement Toolkit. I created a network location for the installation files used the toolkit to create the installer. It lookes like an application is created that reads the xml script for installation details. The problem I'm having is that installer runs silently, and you don't know when it completes, but I give it 2 hours just to be sure. The major flaw is that the Photoshop is not being installed. The only changes I made were to not install the Bridge server. I'm tempted to make a full blown installation and see if I can get Photoshop to successfully install. I'm using CS4 Design Premium site licensing and I need to install this on dozens of computers. Close is not good enough I'm afraid. Didn't adobe test this a little better? Apparently they are expecting the client's to test this software for them. Grrr! I'll try some more and post any successes. I'm looking through the technotes now for clues.

Installation fails on Application Install DVD included with Macbook Pro

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum... please move/advise if there is a better one.
I'm restoring my Macbook Pro to the factory default settings using the supplied DVDs and the installation instructions provided on the OS X Install DVD.
The Application Install DVD fails about 2/3 of the way through the installation process. The error simply says Installation Failed in big, bold mocking letters.
I'm assuming the DVD is damaged... I don't know what else it could be considering it's a clean install and I have no problems installing the OS.
Apple is sending a new DVD, but my real question is this:
Is the DVD that comes with the Macbook Pro more or less the same as purchasing iLife? In other words, can I continue configuring my system, installing other applications, moving over backed up media, etc., and then install the Applications DVD when it arrives - or - is it best to install both the OS and Applications DVD on a clean system?

OK--and my bad for not answering the question you actually asked.
I checked my original system discs for my MBP, and did not find a separate iLife disc. So I would assume that the iLife applications would be on the disc that won't install, although I cannot be 100% certain of your situation since I am not sure exactly what Mac you have and how the software was originally shipped. I know my iBook had a separate iLife disc. The MBP system discs seem to be dual layer DVD's, so they would hold much more than the CD's that originally came with my iBook.
I think you would want to have the application installed and updated before transferring any files that depend on that application. For example, if you have a lot of photos, you would want to have iPhoto or some other photo application installed before moving your photography files. You can check in Finder to see what you have, and you can directly download some applications like iTunes. So you can probably transfer the files that you have the application for, and wait on any that will have to be installed from your DVD that is coming.

Photoshop Installer failed to initialize. Help?

Hello adobe! When trying to download a trail of photoshop the installer resulted in the following issue:
Installation Failed
     Your installation encountered errors.
Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file.
More troubleshooting tips:
1.Restart your computer
2. Exit all applications including startup items, virus checking and firewall software.
3. Launch the installer and reinstall your applications.
     I looked into this issue for probably around 5 hours now and attempted everything possible (or at least any solution I could find). The attempts tried and failed go as follows:
- Disabling all startup processes in msconfig
- Disabling antivirus temporarily
- Using the CCcleaner to produce a log and delete files
- Downloading multiple products from adobe (none working and same error)
     These programs include premeire
- Trying to use the installer on multiple drives (I have 3 total)
- Multiple accounts and directories
     My PC's specs:
-Intel core i7 4770k 3.5GHz
-(ASUS) Nvidia Geforce GTX 760
-8 GB RAM
-Samsung SSD and two other HDDs
My guess as to the cause for the problem is that I have moved my users and program files directories to one of my HDDs.

I had a similar problem with installation of CS6 Extended.
I searched all through the forums and the internet, could not find an answer to this issue. On another forum, someone suggested this option for a differnt issue. I tried it for mine and it worked.
Download a newer version of Adobe Application Manager (https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773)
Installed the application manager and than install your softwre. CS6 Extended loaded right up.

Mac - Installer failed to initialize. (etc) HELP! I can't install the CS6 Master Collection Suite.

When I begin the installation for the CS6 Master Collection, I get an effor saying, "We've encountered the following issues" and below it says, "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." I have already downloaded it, and it didn't help at all. I've tried repairing disk permissions and rebooting, but nothing yet. I have a Mac, and this is my first time installing ANY adobe products on it besides air and flash (of course).

I purchased OSX Lion from the APP store. The installation failed, but the store says it is installed, which it isn't. Does anyone have an answer to get the APP to re-download the APP?

The APP store has my purchase of OSX Lion marked as "Installed", but it isn't. The installation failed and I'm tring to redownload the OS but cannot because it is marked as installed.

Are you sure that the installation failed, or are you perhaps confused about what happened. It is a 2 step process for Lion. What gets downloaded to your Mac is an installer. Do you find a Lion Installer in the Apps folder on your Mac? If so, double click to open it and follow the on screen instructions to install Lion on your Mac.
Always be sure to back up your Mac before attempting an OS upgrade in case something goes wrong and you loose your entire kit.

How to create multiple rows in HFR-- need help urgent

I want to create a row template in HFR, there are almost 500 members in rows and we already have them listed in an excel sheet in rows. They are not under a particular hierarchy so cannot choose the relationship functions ( like idesc or children and all). Is there a way we can copy paste it some way in HFR from excel or do we need to pick every member in HFR separately.
Please help.

Firstly format the members in excel such that they end with a comma, then "Copy" and "Transpose" paste these on a new cell in excel.
Copy the transposed line and paste in financial reporting studio in the formulae bar & click save.

Installation failed!! Need Help!

Two things. Make sure you have a current anti virus product on your PC. There is a virus that blocks certain EXEs from running correctly. If you do not have a current virus product, there is a free one for home use at
http://free.grisoft.com
Then, run the Microsoft Anti-Spyware beta at www.microsoft.com
Reboot after both scans and try the install again.

Create index fails (but worked previously)

the listener and tnsnames) and created 3 text indexes on 2 tables(one column
being a CLOB). The searches worked great (using "contains"). Next I tried to
create a preference using ctx_ddl.create_preference andctx_ddl.set_attribute
to allow for streaming of docs on the server. When Itried to create the index
on the docs, it failed, giving me the
ORA - 29885 error.
Today, I needed to truncate the tables I created with the 3 indexes; in order
to do so, I had to drop the index (FORCE) and when trying to recreatethem, it
failed, giving me the error below. IT WAS WORKING 2 WEEKS AGO! WHAT
HAPPENED??? The metalink site does not have good info and is TOO slow.

Autodeploy fails, but application appears in console

I'm using the App Server Edition 8. I am getting autodeploy failures via the server log and the autodeploy directory (which is fine).
My MAIN concern is that my application is listed as enabled in the App Server Admin Console, even though the deploy supposedly failed.
If I remove my ear file from the autodeploy directory, the application vanishes from the Admin Console.
Has anybody else seen this? Is this "normal" behavior or a potential bug?

Not sure if it was working... I am coding up an EJB client program to test drive.
I did have valid errors with the deployment, so I would assume the application would not be deployed upon failure.

My ipad says the ios needs seven hours to update. I tried the reboot but no success help!

Do you have a PC/Mac?
If you do, install iTunes and try updating from there. Then try one of the solutions written in the font Arial Black which is at the bottom of this reply.
Is your internet very slow sometimes?
If it is, this may be the problem. You'll have to be patient and actually wait that time. Sometimes it doesn't really take that estimated time.
Where you messing around with anything?
if you messed around with anything such as jailbreaking/messing around in file viewers in iFunbox or iExplorer, this might be the problem. You might have dine something wrong. As you might know, jailbreaking disables updating your iOS sometimes.
Try resetting all settings:
Go to settings>General>reset>reset all Settings..
This process will NOT erase any data.
Try a restore from backup:
Backup your iPad using iTunes/iCloud. Then, reset to factory settings and then restore your iPad from the backup you've backed up. Doing this will automatically update your iPad to the latest version of iTunes, and will un-jailbreak your iPad if it is jailbroken.
If none of these Work,
Contact Apple and see if they can help.

Adobe Premeire Pro Installation Failed - Application Manager Corrupted. Please help!

I just recently purchased a subscription license for Adobe Premeire Pro CS6, and tried to download it following the instructions in the confirmation e-mail.   After installing the application manager and downloading, extracting, and installing the program, I received the error message seen in the image below, "Installation Failed - Adobe Application Manager is corrupted and must be reinstalled".
So of course I googled it, and found that this was a pretty common problem, and found one site that recommended re-installing the AAM with the following link:

So I did that too. In addition to restarting my computer, and also tried to download the program directly bypassing the AAM following the instructions on this page:

All of which was unsuccesful.   I've got a video for my Mom's 60th birthday that I HAVE to complete this weekend, and Adobe's support is closed on the weekends. I didn't think installing something from a company like Adobe would be this difficult. Makes me wish I had a Mac.    Can anyone PLEASE help me get Premeire (and Encore) downloaded and installed?

I am experiencing the same exact problem and am unable to resolve it. I've called Tier 1 support (Indian Call Center), and went through all the steps that I have already done myself (as outlined above) with no luck. I'm still getting the corruption error.
I am using Parallels Workstation Extreme and it is being installed on a Virtual Machine. The "Extreme" part of Parallels Workstation allows me to assign a discrete graphics card to the VM. This is uing Intel's vt-d technology for Directed IO. You mentioned above that you had fired up an instance of Windows 7 64-bit and it worked just fine. But for some reason, I am unable to duplicate the same success. The case is now being escalated to "higher" support. Here is my setup:
- Parallels Workstation Extreme VM - Windows 7 64-bit
- Subscription to Creative Cloud
- Clean Install does not work
- Not a part of any domain, just workgroup
- Home PC, so it connects directly to a router and then to Cox (ISP)
- Has direct assignment of a Network card, meaning the network card is not a bridged connection (the VM gets it's own NIC)
- User account is already Administrator, but tried to "Run as administratot" with no luck.
- After install on the clean Windows didn't work, tried using the Adobe Cleanup Tool - doesn't work either
- Disabled all start up programs from msconfig - doesn't work
- Verified that the (.exe) does work, but coping the same (.exe) to another computer and it works.
I would really appreciate any advice that you may have!

Application installer fails to open

When trying to install certain applications - such as Parallels, Flip4Mac WMV, Mozy - basically some applications that use package installations - the installer opens in the dock, but a window never appears and the installation can never be advanced. Essentially the installer fails, but the application remains in the dock until you force quit.
Any suggestions? Is it possible to "re-install" the Installer application that these packages use?

Drag the com.apple.installer.plist file out of your user's /Library/Preferences/ onto the Desktop, log out and back in, and try the installer again.

Create Installer Fail, but Application success. HELP, URGENT!
