Create new base entity.

Hi Experts,
I am trying to create entity using below approach. Here is the code I am using
  data:
        lv_bol_core                TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_core,
        lv_call_list_factory     TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_entity_factory,
        lr_call_list_entity         TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_entity,
        lt_params_tab             type crmt_name_value_pair_tab,
        ls_params                   type crmt_name_value_pair.
        lv_bol_core = cl_crm_bol_core=>get_instance( ).
        lv_call_list_factory = lv_bol_core->get_entity_factory( 'ClmCallList' ).
  CLEAR: ls_params.
  ls_params-name = 'RESPONSIBLE'.
  ls_params-value = sy-uname.
  APPEND ls_params TO lt_params_tab.
      lr_call_list_entity = lv_call_list_factory->create( lt_params_tab ).
It is not creating any entity. Do we need to pass some value?
Kindly advise what is wrong in above code. It is very very urgent, please suggest.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi,
It seems there is no handler class for this root entity. So it is giving exception. It happens in the class - CL_CRM_CLM_GENIL_HDLR_FCTR and method CREATE_OBJ_HANDLER. You can put a breakpoint in the method and see the error.
select single IMPL_CLASS from CRMC_OBJIML_CLIL
              INTO LV_IMPL_CLASS
              WHERE OBJECT_NAME = IV_OBJECT_NAME.
I have used the almost same code like you but added one missing line. You can also try to run this.
DATA:
lv_bol_core TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_core,
lv_call_list_factory TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_entity_factory,
lr_call_list_entity TYPE REF TO cl_crm_bol_entity,
lt_params_tab TYPE crmt_name_value_pair_tab,
ls_params TYPE crmt_name_value_pair.
lv_bol_core = cl_crm_bol_core=>get_instance( ).
lv_bol_core->start_up( 'CALL ONLY' ). " this was missing
lv_call_list_factory = lv_bol_core->get_entity_factory( 'ClmCallList' ).
CLEAR: ls_params.
ls_params-name = 'RESPONSIBLE'.
ls_params-value = sy-uname.
APPEND ls_params TO lt_params_tab.
lr_call_list_entity = lv_call_list_factory->create( lt_params_tab ).

  • New Base Backup Issues

    I recently purchased the K210 after researching prices and specs and think I have what should be a pretty sweet machine. However, after about 8-10 days of operation I was getting frequent create new base backup message until it reached the point that about 5 minutes after creation I would receive the message again. I am on 56K internet connection and it required almost a week to completely download all the files that Windows Update considered important. Upon checking the system I discovered that the service partition was almost completely full, 27 out of 30G. Being brand new at all of this I did something wrong but was able to restore factory settings. I am now afraid to download windows updates for fear of the same problem. I currently ignore the request to create base backup. What I need to know is if I was doing something wrong...Should the service partition become that full so quickly? I have never owned a machine with the service partition so I need to know how to access or store files on D directory. The only supplemental program I have added is a Lexmark printer which was recognized and operates correctly. Hope I asked the right questions. Excuse my newness!!!
    When all is said and done, there is nothing left to say or do...

    Hi Fishoutofwater
    You could see if tech support can help as this issue can have so many solutions depending on your PC build and your version of onekey, the way your OS is configured. etc.
    It may also be helpful to search these forums for all info about base backup issues.
    There is a 3000 system discussion thread, about onekey recovery and the lenovo recovery system.
    Acronis True Image or Norton Ghost is a way to do an image backup, you most likely want to get your base backup and recovery system working as Lenovo has set it up. (onekey).
    Again, It may be helpful to search the forums threads or google for for "lenovo one key recovery"  "Lenovo recovery" "lenovo base backup" , and then talk to to tech support.
    Good Luck.

  • Approval workflow error when creating a new custom entity in FIM 2010 R2

    Hello,
    i'm hoping somebody here can help, me i've been struggling with this for some time now. On a fresh FIM installation i create a custom entity named "Role" and add a few custom attributes.
    I then create an approval workflow and MPR for normal users to create entities of type Role, but another user must approve this request. The other user has a working mailbox - i've tried firing an action workflow that sends a mail notification when someone
    creates a new role and it is working fine. But, when i enable my approval workflow (the only field i changed from default is the approver) on the MPR, the workflow always failes with the message:

    Reason: The server workflow rejected the operation.

    when i upgrade both of them to level 7, then i run sgen and there are no problem on both system
    but when i upgrade both of them to level 8
    in my MFG system, i can run sgen with no problem.
    in my HLC system, i run sgen and it take a long time to validate the programs which are need to be recompiled. so i never run sgen to recompile on HLC system after i update the SP to level 8. but i believe this shouldnt be an issue.

  • How we create new data base in oracle 10g express edition

    hello every body.. i student of B tech n new user of oracle so please help me how we creat new data base in oracle 10g express edition

    Hello, Oracle XE can not create more than one instance, the other editions yes, but like other editions XE allows you to create database schemas, schemas logically grouped objects like tables, views, indexes created by a user. By creating an Oracle user is associated with a schema of the same name.
    Using SYS or system accounts for creating user accounts.
    Syntax to create a user:
    create user Your_user
    IDENTIFIED BY password
    default tablespace users;
    grant connect, resources to your_user;

  • Configuring Legal Entity as Operating Unit without creating new OU

    Hi,
    I have read the doucment "120funmo.pdf" on page 25/60. Eastern operations can be created as Legal entity and identify as Operating Unit and Inventory organization without creating any new OU and INV. ORG.
    How this can be achieved?
    I have created Ledger and "Eastern Operations" as Legal Entity and trying to find a way to identify it as OU and INV. ORG.
    Thanks,

    Suppliers are across all Operating Units so you see the same set across Operating Units.
    Supplier Sites are partitioned by Operating Unit.

  • Creating New Entity Instances within OPA

    This is another one that I think I know the answer to, but I think it is best to confirm.
    In prior versions, it was not possible to create entity instances within RuleBurst/Haley Office Rules. Is that still the case in OPA?
    For example, my rules are determining the status of a case and the reason(s) why that status was determined. The case status may be Denied and the reasons may be "invalid customer Id", "expenses to income ratio too high", "primary customer not employed long enough", etc. I want to return all the reasons for the status. While the list of reasons is pre-determined, the ones that apply to a particular case are dynamic, as any, but not all can apply.
    Given this situation using a database, I would create an instance of reason for each applicable one and link it to the case. In the past, with OPA's predecessor(s), it was not possible to create new instances from within. They either had to all be passed into the rulebase or a list of all allowable reasons attributes had to be created and then set to true for the ones that applied.
    My preference is to create the instances inside OPA. Is that functionality provided in the current version?
    Thanks,
    Terry

    Hi Terry,
    Michael is correct that you can't write rules at design time which will dynamically create new entity instances at runtime. However, perhaps the new inferred relationships functionality in v10 could address what you're trying to do.
    You can write rules which conclude membership of an inferred relationship. So you might always have, say, 10 instances of 'the reason' in every case, but as for which of those instances apply in any particular case, it depends on the details of the case. You could use an inferred relationship to collect up the entity instances which apply in the case.
    First you'd need to set up a regular one-to-many relationship to instantiate the 10 instances at runtime - this would be done in the usual way. Then you'd also need to set up an inferred relationship and write rules to conclude the members of the inferred relationship. The instances which are members of the inferred relationship are then effectively the list of entity instances you wanted to create in your example above.
    Have a look at this OPM Help article: http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/applications/policy-automation/help/opm10_1/Content/Rules%20using%20entity%20instances/Reason_about_relship_between_2_entities.htm

    Hi Anwar,
    As suggested above enable the trace, This would help you get the exact and detailed error.
    Steps:-
    1. Start the trace
    2. Reproduce the Error
    3. Stop the trace.
    4. Look in the log file and search for error.

  • Recurring CacheFullException when creating new Entity Bean

    Normally I can create new instances of my Entity Bean just fine. However, at some point (whether it's after a rollback or not, I don't yet know), I get a CacheFullException when trying to create a new Entity Bean.
    The CacheFullException exception shows a size that increments by one each time this error occurs. The reported size in the exception continually increases way past the max-beans-in-cache amount of 1000. Yet, the Administrator console reports the "Cached beans current count" as zero. So, the cache appears empty, yet every attempt to create a new entity bean fails with a CacheFullException!
    I am using Weblogic Server 8.1 SP3, database concurrency strategy, BMP, and Oracle 9i. The Entity Bean's primary key class was generated by EJBGen (primary key is a java long).
    Stopping and restarting the Weblogic server fixes the problem temporarily.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Jim

    Yes, but if objects are equal they should have same
    hashCode. If it is not happening, you have a problem.Yes, and equal objects do have the same hash code. Please see below for primary key class implementation as generated by EJBGen 2.16.
    There can be a bug in reporting number of beans.OK, are you saying there is a bug that sometimes shows 0 beans in the cache when the cache is actually full? And even if the cache were full, all the beans would have to be involved in transactions for there not to be room for one more new bean in the cache. And I know that there are no other transactions going on, because this is an isolated system that only I am using. Again, Weblogic Server 8.1 SP3.
    It is possible if your PKs don't implement
    equals/hashCode correctly.They look correct to me. Here is the primary key class implementation as generated by EJBGen 2.16. The primary key is a java long, and I am using CMP (not BMP as I mistakenly reported earlier).
    public class StatusPK implements Serializable {
    public long statusID;
    public StatusPK() {}
    public StatusPK(long statusID) {
    this.statusID = statusID;
    private int m_hashCode = 0;
    public int hashCode() {
    if(0==m_hashCode) {
    m_hashCode = ((int) statusID);
    return m_hashCode;
    public boolean equals(Object other) {
    if(other==this) return true;
    if(null==other) return false;
    if(other.hashCode() != hashCode()) return false;
    try {
    StatusPK other2 = (StatusPK) other;
    return (this.statusID==other2.statusID)
    catch(ClassCastException ex) {
    return false;
    The only problem I see with this class is if the default constructor (no args) would be called, then the primary key and hashCode would always be zero. However, I'm assuming here that EJBGen knows what it is doing and that the default constructor is never actually used. In addition, I know that all of the beans in the database have valid primary keys, and they were created the same way that eventually continually fails later on.
    Thanks...

  • Adf bc jar for base entity classes and extending them existing  project

    Hi,
    I am using jdev 11.1.1.0 and have created a base workspace/project and adf jar for my base entity classes.
    1. I can consume this base adf bc jar in a separate new consuming workspace and create VO based on base bc classes or create new EOs that extend base bc entity classes.
    2. Furthermore, for an existing consuming project that earlier included src/ of base entity (BC components), i can remove the dependency on bc source and bring in this new adf jar and everything including the view controller and the service/datacontrol works fine.
    The issue i am running into is as follows.
    - In the existing project (#2) above i try to create a couple of entities based on entities in my base jar; associations are automatically brought in. Note i am not overriding any attributes. My intent here is to generate .java and implement some code.
    - I then try to make my existing VOs based on the newly extended entity (VO overview->Entity Objects-> Shuttle NewEntity from Available to Selected)
    - I then try to remove the old EO from selected under VO overview->Entity Objects->Shuttle OldEntity from Selected back
    - I get a warning dialog box that says something to the effect that some viewlinks are dependent on these old EOs in this consuming project.
    - I tried to laboriously analyzed dependencies and it this dialog box does not make any sense as I have already extended EOs and the tooling should be able to let me use these
    My questions
    - Why I am not able to remove old entities from VO dependencies
    - Is it ok to leave the old EOs in "Selected" along with the newly extended EO ? What are the implications for this?
    - I also thought about extending base associations, but did not go anywhere.
    In general, I am ok with consuming an ADF BC jar that has entities etc. but not clear about removing dependencies of base EOs on VOs when entities are extended and consumed in a pre-existing project that used base entities.
    I can send a project if any PM is willing to take a look at it.
    Thanks,
    ps:
    I have already gone over the following info
    http://technology.amis.nl/blog/215/organization-of-bc4j-domain-eo-and-business-vo-package
    .. wants to create an enterprise data model in BC4J, reflecting the Enterprise Data Model set up in the RDBMS. All (or at least most) business rules will be implemented in the Middle Tier – to take the load of the database and also allow developers not comfortable with PL/SQL to define and maintain the business rules. It is clear that this means that all applications that need to access – and manipulate – the database, need to go through the BC4J foundation layer. Martijn wants to define the Entity Objects – and their business rules – only once and share that definition between different projects. Each projects can create its own ViewObjects on top of these shared Enterprise Entity Objects.
    http://radio-weblogs.com/0118231/2005/09/29.html
    I am currently working on a project for a partner where we will be using ADF BC as our model layer for a large application. In order to keep the footprint of each application module down to a reasonable size, we are intending to create a number of separate 'root' application modules for each functional area of the application. Within, these 'root' application modules we will then use nested application modules to further partition the application. All of the application modules will be accessing the same datasource and will need access to the same database objects.
    In order to separate our code between the development team and into function areas, our initial thoughts were that we would create an ADF BC model project containing Entity Objects for all of the database tables e.t.c. as these are common amongst all functional areas. We have configured all of the EOs for validation rules, defaulting values and extending doDML() as appropriate. Happy at this stage we then created a simple .jar file to deploy all of the definitions. Upon creating a new ADF BC project for each functional area we added the jar file as a library import into the new project. However when we the tried to create some new View Objects via the JDev Wizard we were unable to see the imported Entity Objects.
    Is the only way to share Entity Object definitions between different ADF BC projects to manually copy the source definition files into the new projects src directory? Since this would mean multiple copies of the same components, it could prove to be a maintenance nightmare.Is there a way of doing it without creating multiple copies of the same object definitions?
    The developer is spot on in their ideas of layering and reuse, and even has created a library for their reusable entities. This last step is not something everyone thinks to do. The missing step is known as "importing" components, so with that one extra bit of knowledge under his belt, he should be able to do exactly what he envisions. My little article called Difference Between Adding and Importing Business Components tries to explain the difference and gives the menu options to choose to perform the importing.

    When you create a new object you have to supply the class to which that
    object belongs. A class can extend from another class. If it does so
    explicitly you can define the 'parent' class from which the class extends.
    If you don't explicitly mention anything, the class will implicitly extend
    from the absolute base class named 'Object'.
    Your example is a bit convoluted: when you create a Derived object,
    its constructor creates another object, i.e. an object from the class from
    which the Derived class extends.
    Extending from a class and creating an object don't have much in common.
    kind regards,

    Hi ,
    Go to : Control Panel - > Add / Remove Programs (or "Programs and Features" on win7)
    looks for : SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.0 Client Tool   <- that's the base install
    now look for an entry called   SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.0 Client Tools  SP2  Patch2.8
    these are not automatic updates, it would require an installer be launched on your PC.

  • How to add a new base currency in Clasic Mode

    Helo,
    Please, let me know how can I add a new base Currency (RON), using Classic Mode, at time of creation a new Planning application (release 11.1.1.3).
    For the moment, at time of creating a new Planning application you can only select the base currency from a list (you can't override it or add a new one).
    I suppose, I have to manually modify the base currency to RON in the relational tables after creation of Planning Application.
    If so, please, can you confirm me all the tables involved?
    Many Thanks,
    Robert

    Hi,
    You can only have one base currency and when you create an application you can only select the currency from a list.
    There was another post a while back around the same area :- Re: Currency doubts
