Create personal/custom dictionary
hello,
i would like to create a personal/custom dictionary and i have no idea which application i can use. i frequently translate scientific texts and would like to organize my list of specific phrases and words in a custom dictionary (at the momemnt all i have is a word file - which is extremely impractical). i don't want to add my list of words/phrases to any existing dictionary. i have found various applications, however vast majority only link to other dictionaries.
any ideas?

Creating a custom dictionary for Acrobat and Reader.
I want to create a custom dictionary to be used by all of our users when they access a “forms document” through Adobe Reader/Acrobat.
Here are some of the issues:
The default dictionary name under Custom Dictionaries has a .clam extension.
Is there a way to edit this?
Does it contain the index settings for all the other added.txt and excluded.txt dictionary files?
The Reader's default location is under a user’s LocalLow folder.
C:\Users\PIN\ AppData\LocalLow\Adobe\Linguistics\Dictionaries\Adobe Custom Dictionary.
The Acrobat default location is under the user's Roaming folder.

This is buried under the users profile and we need to be able to update these files on all the user’s workstations prior to log on.
This could be done by redirection of the new custom dictionary. What is the location of that setting in the registry?
Is there is a way to append to the standard dictionary file so as not to replace any setting that a user may have made to the dictionary?
Is this done to the .clam or .txt file outside of the Adobe Reader application?
What is the “All” setting in the dictionary?
Does that imply the program will look through all the dictionaries?

Editing/creating a custom dictionary
I have some custom dictionaries in my Apple Dictionary application. I'm looking for a way to edit them (change font colors, line spaces, etc.), but I don't fin any program that can edit dictionaries or let me even create one myself.

How do I create a custom screen to show after a person logs in we are using windows 7
I have been asked to create a custom welcome screen that would load after a person logs into their computer. This screen is to have links to applications. But I need this to show after they log in and before they see their desktop. and I
need it to be full screen size.
this is mandatory:
I need this to show up AFTER people have logged in, and b4 they see their Desktop. auto adjustment to fill the screen and the screen will have multiple images with them being hyperlinks to the various applications. The kicker is we
are running windows 7. Of course one of the links will go to the desktop.(basically shut down the window screen)
I seem to recall there is a way of doing this using group policy to trigger a screen and possible using HTA or VB6 method or a scripted page but I'm not sure how to accomplish this...
This is coming from upper upper management and they have it mocked up in access 2013.
How do I do this or even accomplish this screen for windows 7.

I realize that windows 8/8.1 has this type of thing built in, but the company is NOT ready for windows 8/8.1I built a System Message HTA for my previous employer that was used in a computer lab setting. It was a nice way to inform the users about things happening in the lab, as well as a nice way to ensure people knew who to contact if there were problems.
The HTA lived on a network UNC and each computer had a shortcut to the HTA in their All Users Startup folder (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup). While you could push the shortcut with GPP, likes the others recommended, that's
about all you should do with Group Policy. This was neat - I had the HTA run custom .cmd files (in a hidden window) when it loaded (the Windows_onLoad subroutine) and then when it was closed by the user (button press that called an ExitProgram subroutine).
This allow me to capture who was logged on, how long the HTA was open, and what computer they were using. In a computer lab such as that one, it was nice to have additional way to track who was using what computer and when. Good luck and let us know if there

I want to create a custom enterprise project field and would like to use instead of for example a text attribute or a look-up table a field for employees (e.g. project manager) which are coming e.g. from the Active Directory. But when creating this custom
project field I cannot see such an option. What solution do you suggest as I want to avoid that everybody uses different names and spellings for e.g. the project manager and without having to fill the lookup table with all resources of the company.

IDCS2: Shared custom dictionary
I've figured out where to save and how to use a custom dictionary on a server, but what I can't figure out is how to allow multiple users to add words to the shared dictionary. Every time I create a new custom dictionary it appears locked and I'm unable to modify it in any way. I really need for others to be able to customize it, maybe not all at once, but at least have spelling definitions from more than one person.
Unfortunately seems like Dictionary.app does not support HTML5.
<audio> tag didn't work.
<object> and <embed> don't work either.
The only way I managed to embed audio into a dictionary entry was using <iframe>. But it makes audio to always autostart and does not allow to resize QuickTime controller. -
How to create a Custom List without the column "Title" ?
Maybe this one is easy as it sounds, I just want to know how to create a little list for my SharePoint application featuring 3 columns:
1 - User Name (this should be Person type - UNIQUE + Required)
2 - Report (Memo - Required)
3 - Status (Choice + Required)
The list will be used to allow the users to submit a weekly report and I don't want to include the title because there is no use to me, I know I can hide the column by customizing the list but this sounds very amateur even for a newbie like me (yeah... sounds

After creating your custom Content Type, Click on the 'Title' filed in your custom content type.
In the 'Column Settings' make it 'Hidden (Will not appear in forms)' and click ok.
Now add this content type to your list/library.
In the list/Library go to setting and 'Advance settings' and make the 'Allow management of Content Type?' as 'yes' and click ok.
Now make default content type not visible from 'Change new button order and default content type' link in the settings page of list/library, and your contet type as 'Default'.
Create a new view, remove the 'Title' field and make that view as 'dafault' view, you can delete the 'All Items' view also if required.
Now whenever user come to that list/Library they will not see the title column and also will not appear in the 'New Item'.
Note : The 'Title' field is mandatory in all the list/library and by default added to the 'All Item' view. So, by doing above steps you are creating a new content type where 'Title' is not mandatory and also not added in default view.

When creating a custom SearchPlugin, is it possible to add more code such as uppercase conversion of the searchTerms and IF statements that change the URL depending on the searchTerms? Every time I try to add something firefox doesn't want to add it as a search plugin. I need to create a more powerful search tool for personal use.
I've found some external software applications that will do it, so that leads me to believe its not possible within ID CC.

I followed the error and have gone to view V_T522N_A and made some entries .. but still i get the same above error .
Note : I am getting the above error for a particular personnel area assigned to country code 29 ..
Provide some inputs on the above.

This might be because of blank value in field P0002-ANRED. Field 'Title' in infotype 0002 for Argentina is mandatory, so it should not be hidden.
Anyway, as a workaround for your requirement, by creating a empty entry in T522G the issue should be solved.
e.g. create an entry just with Gender '1'. Once that entry is created, then modify it by deleting the gender value, therefore that entry is empty in all the fields.
Anyway, this is a workaround. It is not possible to hide Title field for Argentina.

Error in compiling a custom dictionary for text analysis
I got a error when I tried to compile the custom dictionary for the Text Data Processing transformor. I am looking for help to solve the problem or work around the error.
The error is as follows:
[ERR] Can not create file [C:/ws_sclg.1]
Here is the command I was using:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Data Services\bin> tf-ncc -d ..\TextAnalysis\languages -o C:\Sample Source\Dictionary C:\Users\jack\Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects\XMLFile1.xml
It appears to me that the command was trying to create a log file or some temporary file in my C drive root directory, and the OS denied the action. The Data Services is running on a Windows 2008 Server R2. I wonder if there is a way to specify where to create this log file or tempory file?
Any insight or help is appreciated. JackInstead of calling the command from the windows shell command interface, I was able to call the compilier from Data Services; this problem is now resolved.

64-bit Spell checker in OPPM v9-Sp1 works, but need Custom Dictionary
My client adopted Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management (formerly ProSight) -- which is NOT P6, a couple of years ago. It entered production with v.8.0 which had a spell-checker included but which does not work with the approved 64-bit O/S (ie: Windows Server 64-bit). After being disappointed with the v.9.0 release also not supporting 64-bit O/S, the recently released v.9.0-Sp1 finally does. Good news!
I have the instructions (“Primavera Portfolio Management 8.0 Customizing the Spelling Checker.pdf”) for adding a custom dictionary to the system, but cannot find any information on doing this for OPPM v.9.0-Sp1.
Does anyone know if the same instructions still work, or where I can get new instructions for adding a custom dictionary (to avoid having the users need to add many new terms, including their own misspelled ones)?

Actually, after my message yesterday, I managed to find the document, buried in with the OPPM technical docs. Looks identical to the OPPM v.8 version. Thanx for your help.
Now that I have poked around a little more, I realized that I haven't seen anything about how to EDIT the dictionary files once created. How does one clean them up of accidentally (or unintentionally) added mis-spelled words? Every other application I've ever used with a spell checker has that function somewhere, but I can't see it in OPPM.
Any info on this issue? Thanx in advance.

So I used ZD09 account group for the customer and made that number range internal. After I create the BP, how do I create the customer with reference to the BP? I checked the flag in configuration for the BP and customer number to be the same.Hi

here you are creating one BP with external number ranges and one Customer with internal number ranges.
here roles of these two business persons will be different.
because you have created with an intention that two business partners will do different roles right.
Business partner needs to be set as customer u2013 yes you can do it.
You can copy customer with reference to BP but the result is also same means all the partners with BP and the number will be different by copying it.
