Hi experts,
How can i make a report using form.All i want that my form will take input from user and it will fetch related data from the emp table and it will produce a report using oracle report builder.
Could you please tell me that how can i do it.

when you create a user-parameter in a report, by default when starting the report the parameterform is shown up to let the user enter the parameters. If you pass the parameters from forms and do not want to show the report-parameterform to the user, just add an additional parameter to your parameter-list in forms. The parameter is named PARAMFORM and value would be NO.

Here is some code that creates xml for any SQL that returns a ResultSet. Note this uses my default out-of-the-box XML template, but you can quickly create and use your own templates to generate xml to look anyway you desire.

How to create reports using jDeveloper

what procedure to follow in order to creating
reports drawn from mysql or Oracle 8.5.0 database.

I have created 'reports' using BC4J and the JSP Web Application wizard (I use the RowsetBrowser bean).
On the BC4J side, I use read only View Objects based on SQL queries (not based on Entity Objects).
On the JSP side, I create a HTML form where the user can enter their query criteria, pass that criteria as parameters to the ViewObject query, then use a RowSetBrowser bean to display the results.
You can also write your own custom beans to format the output of the report as you like.

Primary key when creating reports with forms

I'm new to APEX and I'm creating a report with forms using the wizard. I've checked the 'Include Analysis Pages' checkbox. When I select the 'add pages' button I get the following message:
Table has no primary keys defined. A primary key is required when creating reports with forms.
I know that the table does have a primary key because I defined it and also it is visible in the Sql workshop / Object browser and Toad.
Am I missing something or is this some sort of bug?

You're missing something. This message means you've not told APEX what the primary key is. You shouldn't have been able to get passed the page in the wizard that asks for it though. Can't describe where it prompts for it from memory, but it shouldn't be hard to find.

Creating Report using EPM Functions with Dynamic Filters

I am new to BPC, In BPC 7.5 i seen like we can generate EPM report using EVDRE function very quickly and easy too. Is the same feature is existing in BPC 10.0 ? if no how can we create EPM reports using EPM Functions with Dynamic Filters on the Members of the dimension like in BPC 7.5.
And i searched in SDN, there is no suitable blogs or documents which are related to generation of Reports using EPM Functions. All are described just in simple syntax way. It is not going to be understand for the beginners.
Would you please specify in detail step by step.

Siva,
These functions are not used to create reports per se but rather assist in building reports. For ex, you want to make use of certain property to derive any of the dimension members in one of your axes, you will use EPMMemberProperty. Similary, if you want to override members in any axis, you will make use of EPMDimensionOverride.
Also, EvDRE is not replacement of EPM functions. Rather, you simply create reports using report editor (drag and drop) and then make use of EPM functions to build your report. Forget EvDRE for now.
You can protect your report to not allow users to have that Edit Report enabled for them.
As Vadim rightly pointed out, start building some reports and then ask specific questions.

There is no reason why a properly written Java stored program cannot be used in APEX, provided that whatever it is doing makes sense in an APEX/web context, and isn't some nonsense like using DBMS_OUTPUT to generate a CSV.
I tried so many ways.But it is not fixed.Different Different errors will occurs.

The best thing to do is to find a report among the reports that are supplied with Designer that contains most of the information that you want in your new report. Then make a copy of it, and use the Oracle Reports Developer to adapt it for what you need. This will give you a good example of a working report.
On the other hand, I myself am not very comfortable with Oracle Reports, so I don't do it that way. I prefer to write reports as PL/SQL Server pages and run them on the web. To make it easier, I wrote what I call a "cursor package" - a PL/SQL package containing pre-defined queries against the CI_ views in the repository. I don't currently have this available for download, but I will try to remember to add it to my web site.
Oracle has fully documented the CI_ views that make up the repository model - find the docs at: http://download-east.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/designer/doc_library/6i_release42/CDOC72/model/el_defs/outer_frame2_de.htm.

How to create report using pass-in parameters

I want to create a report using the parameters passed from the previous page. take an example:
Now in the page B, it got 2 parameters P1_Table,P1_column passed from Page A, i want to get the report about :

that means i want to get the date in the table P1_Table and its P1_column starts with the character 'test'.
i tried to use the dynamic sql in region source but failed.

Creating report using reportpainter in ECC 6.0 version for finance

1.In my report i have to include check number from fchn into standard t code fagll03 based on document number in both tcodes
for this i don't know what i have to fill in library , report and copy from in " Report painter: create report" screen.
2.I want report painter material for ECC 6.0 version for creating finance reports because i am confused what to enter in" report" option and "copy from" option regarding my issue in ECC 6.0 version where as in 4.7 there is no such kind of option in initial screen of creating reports.
3. please guide me what necessary steps to take in my issue

You can just ignore this warning in EPC
as this FORM USER_COMMAND is always called indirectly only
But check the Output and see?

Only i shaw those parameters which i used in my stored procedure, the parameter which i create dynamic using stored procedure
is not shown to me when i referesh the report for viewing the results.
I have used the same procedure which i mention below but can not seen the last screen which is shown in this .

Dynamic Parameters in Action
My question is that whether dynamic parameter is working with storedprocedure or not.
When i added one table and try to fetch records using dyanmic prameters. after that i am not be able to find the dynamic parameter option when i referesh my report.
One more thing when i try the static parameter for my report, the option i see when i referesh the screen.

I have tested the issue step by step by following you description, while the first issue works well in my local environment. Based on my research, this can be caused by the lookup expression or it indeed return Male value based on the logic. If you use the
expression below, it will indeed only return the Male record. So please try to double-check the record in the two datasets and the expression in your environment:
=lookup(first(Fields!ProgramID.Value,"DataSet1"),Fields!ProgramID.Value,Fields!Gender.Value,"DataSet2")
As to the second issue, please try to use the following expression:
=Count(Lookup(fields!ProgramID.value,fields!ProgramID.value,fields!Gender.value,"DataSet2"))
