Create Settlement rule for L2 WBS via CJB1/2

Hi Everyone
In the past we have settled WBS elements to either PSG/CCtr/AUC. We now want to have WBS hierarchies where the lower level WBS element will settle up to the superior (Level 1) WBS element.
I have configured the following items in EEC 6.0:
Created new Allocation Structure (Z4), this is a copy of WBS settlement to PSG, changed the reciever catergory to WBS element
Created new settlement profile (Z00005) with allocation Structure Z4
In the settlement strategy have added the new settlement profile with the following settings:
Account assignment element - Active
Settlement Profile - Z00005
AAt Assugn Cat.- 5 (Superior WBS element)
N:1 SD-PS - Active
I also have the existing setting to the PSG with RA key populated.
When I execute CJB2, it states that three two records processed, no errors. However when I look at the master data, only rule is created on Level 1 WBS and not lower level.
Can anyone help?

Created a new one - only the L1 was updated with a SETC. Log from CJB1 shows the following:

Capital Project Settlement Rule for lower WBS

Hello,
At my present client, for Investment projects the client want to settle top level WBS to AUC and capitalise it. So ideally the cost from lower level WBS should flow to top WBS. I am using substitution to remove investment profile from lower WBS.My concern is how do I auto populate the settlement rule for lower WBS to top WBS. I am aware about settlement strategy and OSS note 211324 (however dont want to implement this note)
The appraoch I am looking for is using "WBS_SETTLEMENT_RULE' BAdI . However this BADI calls for strategy and I could not maintain the required strategy (settlement to top WBS). Is there some BADI/Function module available which can be called for updating the settlement rules on lower WBS while saving or Release ? Can I make use of exits in Substitution?
Please let me know your opinions.

Thanks Virendra. I agrree the only approach is development. But I need to give inputs to my developer.
We tried with BADI "WBS_SETTLEMENT_RULE" but it didnt work as it calls strategy in configuration.
So I am checking for some other options for e.g "WORKBREAKDOWN_UPDATE" which is called during save or Fn modules K_SETTLEMENT_RULE_FILL or K_SETTLEMENT_RULE_SAVE which I can use. This is a client requirement to create AUC only at top level n all cost to be rolled up to superior WBS n then settle to AUC.
The other option I was thinking is of using exits thru substitution.
What will be the best approach?

BAPI/ Function Modules for creating Settlement rules for Project in CJ01 .

Hi Experts ,
I need to create Settlement rules for WBS elements in Projects . Please let me know if there are any BAPI or Function Modules for the same . The Function Modules "k_settlement_rules_update" , "IBAPI_ALM_ORDERSRULE_CREATE" & 'K_SRULE_CREATE'
are in "Not Released" status . so our practices does not allow us to use them .. please suggest any other BAPI or FM for creating Settlement rules .

Auto Run Program not updating Settlement Rules for few WBS elements

Hi,
Addition of settlement rules for OPEX WBS.
In producion system, two jobs are running daily for generating settlement rules of WBS elements but, all WBS elements are not updating with Settlement rules.
It is becoming a problem in the Period end while doing the settlement. Currently we are updating the settlement rule manually.
We have investigated and found the following WBS element with Profile name are not updating Settlement rule.

Hi,
I suppose these are background jobs. Usually there is an issue with background jobs that are run for a custom developed program. Not sure why that happens. Even i faced this issue with a couple of jobs in my system. I have still not found out the reason as to why this happens. There might be a possibility that these projects were being processed in the foreground by some user and hence they were omitted from the run.
I would suggest you to consult your technical guys on this.

Mass deletion of settlement rules for few WBS- Codes

HI All,
I just want to know that is there any possible way to delete settlement rule in mass.
We use to upload the settlement rule data through LSMW program for all the project codes.By mistake the user has excuted twicw the LSMW program and now instead od having one settlement rule now they have two settlement rule assigned to the project code. thats is the second rule is duplicated.
now the user wnats to delete those second settlement rule which got duplicated for all the WBS codes. nearly there will be 6000 records are there which got affected by this.
No entries has been posted to those WBS codes till now.
Kindly any one suugest me how to proceed further to resolve this issue.

In customization, use the strategy with "No Receiver" and then use transaction CJB1/ CJB2 to automatically generate the revise settlement rules without receiver.

Create settlement rule for Maintenance plan

We have a requirement to create a maintenance plan and assign a settlement rule to the same. I was able to create the maintenance plan using MPLAN_CREATE. I created the settlement rule using the function module K_SRULE_SAVE_UTASK. My problem is when I go to IP03 to check if the settlement rule has been created for the maintenance item, it is not found. When I go to IP02 and click on create and go into the settlement rule maintenance screen, I'm able to see the settlement rule created using the function module.but in the MPOS table, I don't see the indicator IND_ABRVO ( settlement rule indicator ) being maintained.
Can you please help in finding out what I'm missing.

Sri Vas,
Is this specific to a particular WBS element or does it happen for ANY WBS element? The WBS element may not have been setup properly.Check the same WBS element directly by going to the WBS element change transaction.Also check the account assignment and status of the WBS element that Ramesh had suggested. If the WBS element has been defined properly,Try changing the settlement rule to a cost center and see if you still get this error.

Create new settlement rule for an order with a function module

Hi,
I would like to create a settlement rule for an order. I searched for existing function modules and found K_ORDER_SETTLEMENT_RULE, which seems to be the correct one.
The problem: The settlement rules, which I create with this function module are not saved.
Do I have to call another function module to save my new rules?

Hi,
Settlement rules are first of all defined in customizing how the should be behave and secondly lies the question how to update a CO cost object with this settlement rule.
My first advice would be to use the "automatic settlement derivation feature" that can be setup in customizing alike. <b>SPRO -> Controlling -> Internal Orders -> Actual Postings -> Settlement -> Automatic generation of Settlement Rule</b>. Read the docu for this node (right click and choose Display documentation) to understand what possibilities and limitations this functionality has. Below this node you have the possibility to define a "settlement strategy" and allocate this to a order type. You can also define a Enhamcement (COOM0003
) where you can somewhat influence the automatic generation of settlement rules.
Execute transaction KO8G (collective processing) or KO88 (indicidual processing) to create a settlement rule for internal orders.
The other option you have is to create a custom program based on BDC to create settlement rule for internal orders.
I think the BDC program would be a better idea for you.

Validate Settlement Rule for Transaction IW32 / IW31

Hi All,
I want to validate Settlement Rule for trx IW31 and IW32. When someone tries to create Settlement rule for cost center, I have to validate that cost center against some criteria.
Do anyone know any BADI or user-exit for this?
I tried user-exit IWO10027 but it did not get triggered.

Got one FM K_ORDER_SRULE_ADD but don't know how to use it.

I found in a Rusian foruma way to create a settlement rule using the functions of the FM KOBS. I changed a bit the code because my requirement was just to update the field URZUO of the settlement rule. The original post (in Russian) can be found here.
My implementation is more simple because the requirement was different:

CJB1/CJB2 will Create Settlement Rule only on Last level of WBS

In Investment projects the client want to settle last level WBS to top level WBS and from top level WBS to AUC and capitalise it. Since we have so many WBS in structure hence we want to use CJB1/CJB2 for settlement rule creation. But CJB1 and CJB2 is createing WBS on all level of WBS. Can any body tell me, what configuration/settings i need to do so that CJB1/CJB2 will create Settlement Rule only on Last level of WBS.

I checked in SPRO; PS > Costs > Automatic & Periodic Allocations > Settlement > Sett Rule for WBS > BADI for CJB1 / CJB2, there is so many BADI is available. Please let me know BADI name, which is help me to create settlement rule create at WBS last level through CJB1 / CJB2.

Validation for the settlement rule of a wbs element

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement that in which i have to validate the settlement rule of the wbs done through t-code cj01/cj02/cj07,cj20n.
If the settlement receiver object is an G/L account (settlement category g/l ) then i have to check that if it is an o&m project type
wbs element settling on some already mentioned G/L e.g 0001081340,0001081341, then it should through some error like settlement rule not valid etc.
I have tried cjb1/cjb2 through badi WBS_SETTLEMENT_RULE by creating some strategy but it did not have any option for G/L
settlement reciever. Also client will not agree to this as they want to create settlement rule manually.
I have also tried the exit 'EXIT_SAPLCOI1_027 ' but its not getting triggerred during settlement rules assign mentand also i think it will not solve my purpose.
Please help me as i am struck in this for long time now.

Creation of settlement rules for WBS element

Hi,
Iam having problem when creating the settlement rules for WBS elements. The business goes like this.
We have XI interface which creates the Idocs and an inbound program(customized) to process the Idocs. When the Inbound program is run the WBS elements are created and settlement rules are created for the WBS elements. The inbound program is run automatically thru batch job.
First time when the Idocs are processed about 95% of the WBS elements have settlement rules created and for other 5% settlement rules are not created. The Idoc is in status 64. I tried reprocessing the Idoc and then the settlement rules are getting created succussfully. The problem is Iam not able to find why the Inbound program is not processing succusfully when its run first time but works when reprocessed.
I appreciate if anyone can send their views.

You might set the processing to check not only once the relevant IDocs, but more times...
Check out these programs, and set them into a batch job periodically...

Unable to assign AUC as settlement type in settlement rule for FXA category

Dear Experts,
One of my requirement is that one WBS has several actual posting for AUC of different types and settle through CJ88. Investment profile is not in scope.
To run the above scenario, i created AUC manually via AS01 of different types. When i create settlement rule manually for that WBS i can't see the settlement type "AUC" for FXA category. I can see only the settlement type of "PER and FULL". 100% settlement should be done for all AUC posted for that WBS at the time of each period closing.
Could you help me to resolve this issue asap?

Hi,
To get AUC in settlement rule , you need to allow settlement at wbs level which use to be controlled in settlement profile. Also you wont find AUC but u will find fixed asset- FXA.
One more thing settlement rule come automatically when you run the settlement first time as captilisation. You will get the settlement rule automatically.

I am working on a capital project scenario where in i configured the SAP IM and SAP PS module. i am able to create AUC at the WBS level on project release,but i am not able to generate the settlement rule for AUC automatically.
Please suggest as to what i am missing to generate settlement rule for AUC automatically.

i think for automatically AUC to be generated, u need to create investment profile in OITA in that u have to tick mange AUC in investment measure. & select settlement for summary settlement.
This investment profile u need to specify in Project Profile OPSA.
do this setting & let me know whts happen?
