This may sound complicated so I will try to explain it the best I can.
I have a page on my site (http://cwhazzoo.com/Community/UserContent/thebest.php) where people find/add/vote on "The best of Avatar." Now many people have been asking for a small thumbnail image to display under or next to all the art entries. You first need to know that when people add an entry to the list to be voted on they do not actually upload the video/art. They only provide a name, the artist, site located, and the exact url. So... is their any possible way using php to grab the images url when with using the information they give me? I know that facebook does it. The one site I really need it to grab the image url from is deviantart.
I have set up an account for anyone that needs to see more on the site:

Double click on the file and it will open in the Console. Copy and Paste it in here. Just the first 50 or so lines is enough

Creating a HGrid in OAF, please help!

I am trying to create a HGrid to display all the employee names under the root, and the child node under each employee will show his/her manager's name.
This is how i created:
1. Create a ViewObject (EmpFullVO): Select person_id,full_name from per_all_people_f;
2. Create a ViewLink (EmpFullVL) with following properties:
2.1 Source VO: EmpFullVO, Destination VO: EmpFullVO
2.2 Source Attribute: Person_id, Destination Attribute: Person_id
2.3 Query: person_id in (select person_id from per_all_assignments_f where supervisor_id = :1)
2.4 I have generate accessors at both source and destination
3. Create a HGrid region(EmpHGridRN) under my pageLayoutRN
4. Create a tree region under my EmpHGridRN
5. Under the tree region i have nodeDef1(view instance-EmpFullVO1,view attr-full_name) and Childnode1
6. Under childnode1, i created nodeDef2(view instance-EmpFullVO1,view attr-full_name) and Childnode2(Ancestor node-/oracle/apps/ak/sample/hgrid/webui/sampleHGridPG.childNode1)
The final result is not as expected, I just see a Hgrid region with a list of employees and nothing else. i dont know whether i am missing any steps. This is my first Hgrid Excercise, I am unable to find any tutorials/references. Please help.
I appreciate, if you could provide me a solution or provide me a tutorial / reference that can help me out... (I tried OAF Developer Guide which is not elaborate enough for HGrids)

I have an item P1_PRODUCT('SOAP','PASTE','BRUSH') in page 1.
User selects multiple products and submits and a report is displayed .
I have an hyper link on one of the column and when user clicks this > target is URL
and i have passed P1_PRODUCT to page2 using the link
P2_PRODUCT is hidden item.

It is possible to include commas in item values

List of item values used to set session state within a URL. Item values cannot include colons, but can contain commas if enclosed with backslashes. To pass a comma in an item value, enclose the characters with backslashes. For example:

But it may be that your item value contains colons.
There could be workarounds for you, depends on what your issue actually is - I'm not convinced is a delimiter issue, rather timing on session state values. Are you able to produce a demo on apex.oracle.com?

Everytime I want to update the latest iTunes or iPhone software I get the following error message "Cannot open the URL" please help?

Creating a custom datasource. Please help!

I'm creating a custom datasource in RSO2 to extract data from a custom view based on three z tables. I have filled the view with the join conditions and the fields. After activating it, I have checked the data and it's correct. The problem appears when I try to create a custom datasource based on this table, the following error appears:
Invalid extract structure template ZXXX of DataSource ZXXX.
You tried to generate an extract structure with the template structure ZXXX. This operation failed, because the template structure quantity fields or currency fields, for example, field AMOUNT refer to a different table.
I have checked the quantity and currency fields in order to add the reference tables and fields. For example:
0AMOUNT: ref table: EIPA; ref field: BWAER.
The problem is that I don´t know how to join both tables (EIPA and my Zview) because the key is different in the tables and only non relevant fields like Net Price appear in both tables.
If I add only the field EIPA-WAER, the data selectedis not correct, obviously.
Please, what can I do? Any ideas?

Hi all,
I have created an Infoset but the problem persists. If I only join the tables I need, when I generate de Infoset, a warning appears telling that some fields (currency and quantity) will not be filled. At this point, if I execute de datasource in RSA3, the number of records is correct but these fields are empty.
If I add the tables that appear in the warning message, the number of records extracted is 0, because these "auxiliar" tables only contain information about currency units but they don't have the same key values so thay cannot join.
I have a question now... the tables that I have to upload into BI are also Z Tables. What happens if I ask my development team to add currency and quantity units in these tables? I think my problem will be solved if unit fields appear in the original tables. Would it be enough?
Any suggestions on it?

Update thumbnails - all photos gone, please help

I was prompted to update my thumbnails in my iPhoto library. I chose yes and now all my photos are gone.
I tried already the alt key and I am being asked to create a new library or to choose an existing one. If I choose again the existing one it opens empty. I tried as well the iPhotolibrary Manager but it recovers only my photos, no events, dates and the library is then a bit messy.
Anyone experiencing the same problem? I am using iPhoto '08 7.1.5.

This won't help you know but in the future if you have similar issues the tip at the end of my signature below can help you quickly recover.
*HOWEVER, I think I've found a way you can get that Library6.iPhoto file out of TM:*
1 - while *in the Finder* open the Backups.backupdb folder on your Time Machine drive.
2 - drill down to the Pictures folder in your user account for the date just before the problem occurred.
3 - Control+click on the iPhoto library package and select Show Package contents from the drop down menu.
4 - locate and drag the Library6.iPhoto file to your desktop.
5 - replace the damaged file with the one from TM.
I think that will do it.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: The new rebuild option in iPhoto 09 (v. 8.0.2), Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" makes this tip obsolete.

I couldn't run the schema for the FOD demo application. when I follow the steps, I get some exception during the database create part.

Podcast on external URL, Please help!

Hi All
I have developed a website in iWeb'08, published it to a folder and uploaded it to my own URL. Now what I want to do is add a podcast, but I suspect that this is only possible with .mac! My own hosting company does have php support, so how can integrated the RSS stuff into the site. I imagine I have to get out text edit and do some surgery on the html file, not an issue if I knew what to do or be looking for.

Sorry but here is another update. I now have the subscribe button working so that the rss feed functions. This required some editing of html and xml files. The good news a site created with iWeb'08, with a podcast, and rss feeds, hosted on a URL other than .mac can function! All that is missing is the media file, ie the m4v or mp3 file. when I browse to it in I get the QT logo and question mark.
If any one has a work around for this, then please let me know.

I would like to take a current MP3 that I have on file and create a new MP3 using only the first 20 seconds of the original. How do I do this?
(I have iTunes and another program called something like iGarageBand)

How do I open it in GarageBand
Create a new basic track, then drag the MP3 into the
track. Use command-T to split the track where you
want.
and how do you convert
it back to an MP3 in iTunes?
Use "Export to iTunes" in GarageBand. The file in
iTunes will be an AIFF; use "Convert Selection to
MP3" in the Advanced menu to convert it to an MP3.

I thought that it would have been more straightforward in how to delete the rest of the track... I guess I need a little pointer in that area too.
So far, I've imported the track and split it at where I'd like. After that, I have no idea on how to delete the rest of the track. So... how do I do that?
