Created jar-file doesn't find other jars

Hi,
I built an application using jars (among others the ojdbc14.jar) - working "perfectly" in eclipse.
But when I create a jar - I receive an "Class-not-found-Exception", when the
Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"); is invoked.
I tried using newInstance() but it didn't work.
The classpath seems to be correct:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<classpath>
     <classpathentry kind="src" path=""/>
     <classpathentry kind="con" path="org.eclipse.jdt.launching.JRE_CONTAINER"/>
     <classpathentry exported="true" kind="lib" path="ojdbc14.jar"/>
     <classpathentry kind="output" path=""/>
</classpath>I also "included" the jar(s) in the manifest:
Bundle-ClassPath: ojdbc14.jarAnd of cause they are included in the jar.
So - where is the bug? Do I have to use another command than the forName to load the driver?
Thanks for any tip.

Hi again :)
when I use instead of the "...getName()..."
DriverManager.registerDriver(new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());I don' receive the ClassNotFoundError"- but the jar doesn't do anything (seems like hanging-up)

  • Mavericks Finder Find File doesn't find files in [Root]/Library

    I wanted to put the "Epson Printer Utility 4" application in my dock bar. So in Finder, I selected File > Find, and set it to "Name" "begins with" "Epson Printer". Mavericks found the "Epson Printer Finder" application in [Root] / Applications / Epson Software, but it did not find "Epson Printer Utility 4" in [Root] / Library / Printers / EPSON / InkjetPrinter2 / Utility / UT4. As a test, I also tried File > Find for the "World Clock" widget in [Root] / Library / Widgets - also not found. Both files are fully visible to me, and I have have Admin privileges. I set my Finder preferences to "Search This Mac" when performing a search. I can't find any other preference to have Mavericks really, truly search ALL of This Mac, including the root directory folders. Any help? Thanks, Peter

    Download and run Find Any File to search for the file by Name contains "xxxx".
    FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't like invisible folders, system folders and packages.

  • TS3991 can i upload pictures to the cloud, create a file name and allow others to access it from non-apple devices?

    I have pix for co-workers not to be shared in public forum, would like to know where in knowledgebase to find the instructions. thank you

    You can do this by adding photos to a shared stream and enabling the public website option (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99).  This will give you a private url that can be shared with non-iCloud users, enabling them to see the photos on the web from their computer browser.  You will need iPhoto '11 to do this, available in the Mac App Store.

  • Error 7 occurred at open/create/replace file

    Hello,
    I have searched the forum and could not find any useful information regarding my problem, so hope you may shed some light. MyVI can create a new csv (text) file by using the time to name the file, so every time the new file will be created with a different name and file path is not a relative path. I can run the VI in both development environment and stand along executable without any problem. But,
    One of my colleagues  cannot run the executable exe on her machine because Error 7 occurred at Open/Create/Replace File in xxxx.vi Possible reason: LabVIEW: File not found. The file might be in a different location or deleted. Use the command prompt or the file explorer to verify that the path is correct.
    My question is why only she cannot run this exe on her machine. I have checked a few different PC in my office and all of them can run this exe without problem, so I am pretty sure the code is fine.
    I have already ask her to do,
    Run the executable as administrator
    Save the new file to other drives (not C: drive)
    but she still cannot run the executable. I dont think this is a premission issue, otherwise, LabVIEW would give a different error, Error 8 I believe.
    Both her PC and my PC is running Windows 7 professional 64-bit. The only difference I can see is that she is based in US and I am based Australia. Does anyone have any idea? Please help.
    Thanks,
    Sherman

    I’m not sure but expecting like below,
    As you said, your creating file name with Time. Make sure file name is correct and there is no special characters (like, / or : ). If your formatting time to string with “Format Date/Time String.vi” (while creating file name), based on UTC format, string will change.
    UTC format specifies if the output string is in Universal Time or in the configured time zone for the computer. If TRUE, date/time string is in Universal Time. The default is FALSE.
    Make sure you have access rights to create files into mentioned folder. Try to create new file manually.

  • Error creating CONTROL FILE

    I have a problem while installing 9iAS R2 on RH LInux 8.
    When database configuration assistant starts during the installation of 9iAS infrastructure, it gives an error "Error creating CONTROL FILE" followed by many other errors.
    Please help me out.
    Zulqarnain

    I had the same problem, but with RH9
    To fix, I ran orapwd from the $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory to create a password file called orapw. Then I moved this file to the directory where the configuration assistant complains it cannot find the file. Fixed. Obviously, just ignore the errors from the configuration assistant about the CONTROL FILE until it tells you the location of the file it is looking for.

  • Create Outbound File in a Different System

    Hi All,
    I have developed an ABAP outbound interface which is suppose to download a CSV file to application server. I have a selection screen field for file location .This program will be scheduled in background and variable will be saved with the file location. I am using open data set and close data set statements to create the file.
              We have other outbound ABAP interfaces where we download files to application server but in all those interfaces files are downloaded to our own application server but for this new interface the file location is on our business partner's server.
             Can anybody please tell me if I can download file to a location on our business partner's server using open data set statement and if yes what are the additional things I need to do for the program to download a file in that location?
    Like.
    1. Who should have authorization to that location when the program is scheduled to run in background.
    2. Does the SAP system itself need to get some access to that external system and if yes how do we get it ? I mean do we have to do anything on our side or should the partner do something on their side?
    3. And any other additional setting.
    Please help me by providing your valuable inputs.
    Thanks,
    Jhansi

    Hi
    Open dataset statament can work for Application Server only, so you can't use it for downloading a file in another server.
    One solution can be to send the file from your server to the partner one via ftp: that means you need to create the file in your application (by open dataset) and then to send it via ftp.
    So you need to change your interface program in order to add the abap code to manage ftp (see the program RSFTP00*):
    1. Who should have authorization to that location when the program is scheduled to run in background.
    The authorization should have the same of the other interface
    2. Does the SAP system itself ....
    Your SAP system has to allow to send a file via ftp, but this is a standard function, probably is just active in your system
    Partner Server has to allow to receive a file via ftp: you need to get an agreement with your partner
    3. And any other additional setting.
    Just to active ftp: ask your basis (If i remember one of reports  RSFTP00* generates the RFC connection for ftp, if it's missing)

  • Problem creating air file with missing icon files

    Ok, I am trying to create an air file, and getting some errors.
    First, I am trying to create the air file using:
    C:\IBM\...\air\notifier>C:\air\sdk\bin\adt -package -storetype pkcs12 -keystore ../vl.pfx vl.air application.xml
    My application.xml file for the icons appears as:
    <icon>
    <image128x128>resources/icons/vl128.png</image128x128>
    <image48x48>resources/icons/vl48.png</image48x48>
    <image32x32>resources/icons/vl32.png</image32x32>
    <image16x16>resources/icons/vl16.png</image16x16>
    </icon>
    The file paths are configured as:
    air/notifier
         application.xml
         main.html
    air/resources/icons
         vl128.png
         vl16.png
         vl32.png
         vl48.png
    I get the following error:
    C:\IBM\workspace\VectorLiveWeb\WebContent\air\notifier\application.xml(19): error 303: Icon resources/icons/vectorlive128.png is missing from package
    C:\IBM\workspace\VectorLiveWeb\WebContent\air\notifier\application.xml(20): error 303: Icon resources/icons/vectorlive48.png is missing from package

    C:\IBM\workspace\VectorLiveWeb\WebContent\air\notifier\application.xml(22): error 303: Icon resources/icons/vectorlive16.png is missing from package
    I tried using the -C command to include ../resources/icons/. - but still get the error, can anyone provide any assistance as to how I can make the .air file?
    Thank you,
    JJ

    Another thing I learned is that you might have the icon file embeded in the application somewhere and that removes it from the include in AIR package screen.That shows the same 303 error. See more detalis here : http://spy6.blogspot.com/2009/10/error-creating-air-file-303error-some.html

  • T420's Bluetooth does not pair or find other devices

    Hi,
    I have a T420 laptop and the problem is that bluetooth doesn't find other devices to pair with and also if I try to pair with the laptop from other device, it doesn't show the passkey and the connection timeouts.
    I'm on Windows 7 and BT driver is 6.5.1.302 and Microsoft BT enumerator 6.1.7601.17607.
    I have updated the driver but it doesn't fix it.
    Any idea?
    Solved!

    @Nithan and andrefgj,
    Seems like there is some software conflicting with the BT driver. Would advice to uninstall any software which might be accessing the BT or the USB ports?
    Try doing a system restore (Windows) to the time before the issue happened. If still does not help then do a factory recovery using Rescue & Recovery.

  • JSP referencinc taglib.tld in JAR file doesn't work.

    I have some custom tags which work fine under Weblogic 5.1 when I do a
              normal deployment of files, including the taglib.tld. However, when I
              try to reference the taglib.tld located in a JAR file, then weblogic
              throws an error saying that it cannot resolve into a valid tag library.
              I am only doing this because I am testing the same site agains both
              iPlanet Web Server and Weblogic. iPlanet will only find the taglib.tld
              when it is in a JAR file.
              Can anyone shed some light on referencing the taglib.tld in a JAR file.
              This should work, as it is covered in the JSP 1.1 specification.
              FYI - the jar file is in the same location as the JSP which references
              it. The URI to the JAR file (in the JSP) is from the root of the site.
              Thanks for any help.

    Welcome to the Sun forums.
    Subject: My Applet Jar file doesn't work !! .
    1) Note that one '!' denotes exclamation, whereas 2 or more often denotes a dweeb.
    2) Since you are on your first post, I will point out that applets are an advanced topic, and should not be attempted by newbies.
    3) "doesn't work" is very vague. It is likely to produce a reply like "maybe the applet is lazy - try flogging it".

    i made a jar file :So does the applet work before you make the Jar file? Your post so far suggests the Jar file is the problem.
    i created a file and named it MANIFEST.MF .i wrote inside it :
    Main-Class: test
    Then i placed it in a folder with the test.class .I created jar file using command line.
    I entered the test.class path and then wrote this command :
    jar cvfm myjar.jar MANIFEST.MF *.class
    Then the jar file "myjar.jar" is created .
    it's executed but this function "public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) " won't wrok.
    i keep pressing the buttons but nothing is happening !!So you get 'no output in the console & no effect in the applet'?
    What is the URL where I can see your applet failing?
    As an aside, since Sun does not guarantee that applet clients will act on the showDocument command, even if it does not work, it would not be a 'bug'.

    JSP is used for server validation.
    So you need a an application server (like Tomcat or Jboss) to execute your jsp files.
    you can create the .war file of your simple jsp application and put it in the server.
    then you will have to access your page using a web browser.
    the URL will be
    http://<ComputerName or IP Address>:<PortNumber>/<WarFileName>/<MainJspPage>
    (eg: http://100.100.100.252:8080/SimpleApplication/mainPage.jsp)

  • Jdeveloper 10.1.2 creating jar files in user's temporary director

    Hi all,
    McAfee uses 100% of my PC CPU every once in a while when jdevw.exe creates jar files in C:\Documents and Settings\wase\Local Settings\Temp. They get created at seemingly random times while I am running the embedded OC4J in debug mode (Struts, BC4J, ADF). McAfee is configured to ignore a few of my directories and I would like to direct those files into an unscanned directory. (No, The powers that be will NOT turn off on access scanning of archives. Sigh.) The files go away when I shut down JDeveloper.
    Thanks,

  • Need inputs for creating Jar file

    Hi All,
      I am doing the scenario as file to mail. so here i am using java mappings for sending the file in mail attachment.
    as i can see in my system there are already one imported archive exists with name called "java_mappings".
    in that i can find 10 to 12 mapings which are used for different interface.
    i have tried to export the imported archive to my local system and created the project with same in NWDS.
    but here i can not find jar file.
    can anyone suggest how can i get jar file for already exist the imported archive.
    second option is if i want to create new mappings then how can i get the Jar file.
    thanks,
    Bhaskar

    Hi Bhaskar,
    Jar file is an archive which consists of all class files needed by Java mapping. If you have a folder named Java_mapping and you guess that it is being used in different interfaces, then it should have the class files in it... may be the source code is missing...
    I will suggest you to export it into your local machine and extract using winzip.. then you might see some file with .class extesnion. Try a tool like frontendplus which will make java code from java class file to get there code..
    Now if you are trying to make one for your requirement i would suggest to read the stefan grube blog..
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs;jsessionid=%28J2EE3414700%29ID1981012450DB01072979760660502867End?blog=/pub/wlg/4774
    Also note that the java mapping is just a jar file which has:
    1. the com.sap.xpi.ib.mapping.lib.jar (PI7.1) or aii_map_api.jar (PI7.0 or XI3.0) file
    2. You java code class file.
