CreatePDF from Intuit Quick Books?

Why can't I create PDF via CreatePDF from a Quick Books form like I did before?
Only thing I changed with CreatePDF recently was PW as ADOBE warned the spyware and recommended to change it.

I don't have a link handy, but as far as I know, the Acrobat 9 user guide is available online as a (guess what!) PDF you may download... or is on the disc if you bought physical media
Go to that PDF and search for compatibility
The PDF for version 8 covers setting the options to a previous version on pages 102-103
The words may (or may not) be different for v9

I have a quick filter but cannot dispay all incoming emails, only those from my address book. Help

I was trying to add a junk filter. Now I have a quick filter with options for unread, starred, only messages from address book, tags, attachments.
If I turn the quick filter off, I only get unread messages.
If I turn the quick filter on, I can get all messages from my address book (read and unread) but no mail from others.
I want all incoming email displayed I have no option to do this. What should I do???

Are you saying nothing changes if you toggle the buttons in the QuickFilter for Unread, Contacts etc?

I think you can get Windows 7 for around $99. Install the 64bit version as the 32bit version will not be able to use all your new computer's ram if you have more than about 3.5gb.
Back up your quick books data now before the old hard drive dies. You can copy your data over to your new installation of Windows and quick books.

So you may not need to install Windows at all.

The Intuit rep said they don't "support" QuickbooksPremier on a "virtual machine." Do you know what I risk by using it, anyway? thanks for the advice about Boot Camp vs Parallels, BTW!
I use QuickBooks Pro for Mac, so I haven't had need to try any of the Windows versions in a VM. But I can't think why it wouldn't work. From within the VM, QuickBooks Premier would believe it is operating on PC hardware within Windows.
I would guess they mean that the multiple user support wouldn't work from within the VM. But I would think that would also work. Windows can see the Internet from within the VM, which means it can see your network. So if Windows can see the network, then QB Premier should be able to, too.
I know you can get Parallels as a demo, and maybe you could get QB Premier as trial software. So if you already have a retail copy of Windows to load into a VM, it would only cost you time to test what's possible.

Hi DG.
The easiest way to copy an HP Photo Creations project to another computer is to click the Share button. That will upload the project to the Web and give you a link you can paste into an email. Clicking the link on the other computer allows you to download the project and personalize it. This quick video shows the process. (The screen looks slightly different now, but the concept is the same.)
Another way to share a project is copy the project folder to a thumb drive. Look in Documents/HP Photo Creations/My Things to find your saved projects.

Poor quality printing with quick books remote

I just started using the HP 8610 and now the print quality is poor when remote printing from quick books. It was perfectly fine wiht my OLD OLD HP 1200. checked with remote printing company and they have not helped. Any clues?

I have the same problem when using Logmein with my new 8610. Printing text heavy statements from remote computers that look fine on the screen, come out with fuzzy pics and pixelated words. This was also never a problem with our old 7510.

I don't believe so. The iOS app appears to be a subset of the full functionality; viewing customer information and creating invoices, entering expenses and viewing a quick P&L. That might be enough for your needs, though.

Restoring the iPad actually puts a "fresh" or "new" copy of the software (iOS) on your iPad; If you have restored the iPad in iTunes; You should have done "Setup as New iPad" not "Restore from Backup". The problem could actually exist in the backup itself.
 So if you did "Restore the iPad" from a backup; try setting up the iPad as "New iPad" and see if that makes any difference;

Upgrading Quick Books

I am trying to upgrade Quick Books from 2009 to 2012 professional. After the install begins I get a message that states D:\\thirdparty\flash10\install_flash_player_10_active_MSI returned 1603: Fatal error during installation. I have no idea what this means nor how or what I am supposed to do. I went to Adobe and looked into FAQ's but found nothing. I am using Window's 7 professional, IE 11 and I have Adobe 16.0.0,235. Does anyone have any information as to what this means and how I can fix this??

It sounds like QuickBooks' installer is attempting to install an old Flash Player and then fails when it can't. This is an issue that you'll need to consult Quickbooks about.

Oops! Sorry pmittal. Completely missed that you said "windows" at the beginning of your post. Thomas is absolutely correct. Intuit is like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde with QuickBooks. The Windows Pro version is full of features. You pay the same amount for the Mac Pro version, but it is severely crippled in comparison.
Believe it or not, Intuit actually has a company policy that the Mac version will never be feature compatible with the Windows version. How's that for treating paying customers as less than second rate! Wish I were making that up, but it's true. Read the blog link. In particular:
Forget the fact that Intuit’s Mac products have always paled in comparison to their Windows counterparts by missing 90% of the features that Windows users have long enjoyed. Forget the fact that Intuit has worked overtime to make sure that their Mac & Windows products would never be cross-platform compatible (this is an internal corporate rule at Intuit).
And this, later in the article:
Many years before QuickBooks was resurrected for the Mac in 2006, a smug Intuit employee at Macworld Expo told me, “We don’t need to update QuickBooks, because it’s still the No. 1 best-selling accounting package for Mac. Mac users still purchase it, even without any new updates.” Seems like their attitude hasn’t changed much.
I know most folks consider blogs unreliable, but I first read this same information at a much more reliable site, I just can't seem to locate it again.
Despite all that, I do use QuickBooks for Mac. Why? One, that's what I started with for my small business because "QuickBooks" is what you always hear to use. I had no idea at the time how crippled it was. Good news (for me) there is that it does more than everything I need, seeing as how I don't need much for an in-home business. Two, my accountant is much happier when he comes over to finalize entries that he already basically knows the program instead of having to wade through something completely unfamiliar, such as the greatly superior AccountEdge (There are two Mac accounting programs with this exact same name. One is pretty expensive, the other is fairly cheap). The one linked to in the blog is the less expensive version, with the Basic version going for $99.
I'd consider switching, but the other packages can't import QuickBooks data. Or at least not accurately. I have too many years of data invested in QuickBooks to consider trying to switch now. One of the other Mac accounting packages offer (or used to) a service to translate your data at so much per record. Well, with thousands of records, that would cost hundreds of dollars. Forget it. So I'm kind of stuck, like it or not. The only real way out of it is to run Windows in a VM and import my Mac QuickBooks data into the Windows version. But since the Mac version does do all I need, that would be rather pointless.

We are currently using Quick Books on a DOS machine. We want to replace it with a Mac. How can I move all my data to the Mac? How well will this work? does Quick Books run well on the Mac? Our IT guys are saying that it doesn't run well on a Mac.

if you are refering to Word Documents with the term 'docs' it is quite easy.
You can copy the files from the CD directly to the Documents Folder on your OSX volume with the Finder app.
The app Textedit is capable of opening Word docs.
Also there is Pages from the iWork suite http://www.apple.com/iwork/
Microsodt Office will have a new version coming out in January 2008.
And you can use NeoOffice http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/en/index.php
