Creates a ADF Liabrary JAR by using Apache Ant..

Hi All...
I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4.0.
I need to create a ADF library jar file outside of the Jdev by using ANT script(without Ojdeploy) .While creating jar file using Jdev, two files are created .These files are:
1.task-flow-registry
2.oracle.adf.common.services.ResourceService.sva
How to create above menstioned two files by using ANT Script.
Regards,
Rengasamy.A

there is a jar for this file creation, "../Middleware/oracle_common/modules/oracle.adf.pageflow_11.1.1/adf-pageflow-rc.jar". The class that creates task-flow-registry.xml is "oracle.adf.controller.rc.TaskFlowRegistry.class[write(URL taskFlowRegistryUrl)]".

    Hi Vinod,
I have achieved this solution from apache ant. But I have facing one problem
    1. While creating jar file using Jdev, two files are created .These files are: task-flow-registry and oracle.adf.common.services.ResourceService.sva
2.How to create these two files using ant?.
I have referred the below link.
But i cant to create these two files.

  • Can't create a true ADF Libray JAR FIle

I created a Model project. Then created an ADF Library JAR File Deployment Project to deploy the jar to the file system.
I then, created a separate project and tried to add the export jar file to it via a File System connection in the Resource Palette.
But, when I right click on the jar file in the Resource Palette, I only see 2 options, "Open" and "Advanced Search".
I expected to have an option to add the jar to the selected project.
Now, I am able to add the jar to the Project if I go to the projects properites, then add the jar via the "Libraries and Classpath".
Note that even the icon for the jar is different than those from other System Jar files (the bookshelf/library icon).
The icon I see for my jar is hard to identify, sort of like a torch.
    So, what is going on?
I have double and triple checked that my deployment profile is for an "ADF Library JAR File".
I have deleted the default deployment profile and create a brand new one.
    Still, the same issue.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

When you say you see the XML files for the EOs & VOs do you mean in the resource palette? Never mind, let's take a step back.
Via the following link this is what you should see for a Model project ADF Library JAR that contains EO/VOs etc:
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12154176/pic01.png
If you were to right click on the JAR this is what options you should see:
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12154176/pic02.png
I'd suggest you're still doing something wrong when you create the ADF Library JAR. To assist you via this link:
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12154176/Model.zip
...you'll find a previous workspace/project I've setup. If you right click on the Model project look to the Deployment options you'll see an ADF Library deployment profile called "Model_Model_adflib". If you exit out of the preferences, right click Deploy -> select Model_Model_adflib, the appropriate ADF Lib JAR will be created under Model/Model/deploy. Returning to JDev and the Resource Palette, add a file system connection to this deploy directory, then you should see what I see above.
Let us know how you go.

  • Maven and "adf library jar"

    Hi,
I'm trying to create an "adf library jar" using maven in jdev 11gR2 : how to have the same jar with "jdev deployment" and "maven-->package" ? Is it possible?
    Thanks
    Clément

    Hi,
In order to determine which jars are needed for ADF, you need to check the dependencies in JDeveloper and write each jar down.
If by any chance you are using JDev 11.1.3, its the following jars:

halo how can i connect to database(mysql) usingYou use JDBC to connect to relational databases via Java.
apache ant server Ant is an XML-based make tool. You must mean Tomcat. There are docs to show you how to set up a JNDI data source in Tomcat.

    Goodmorning;
i'm using jdev 11g, i m trying to use Apache POI to import the content of Microsoft XL file into my database.
i already do that succesfully on netbeans. but not on jdev.
first i download the POI package from the apache web site, and i create a librarie and add the jar files to the jdev by using Tools --> Manage Libraries, this is the list of the jar file : poi-3.6-20091214.jar, poi-contrib-3.6-20091214.jar, poi-ooxml-3.6-3-20091214.jar and poi-scratchpad-3.6-20091214.jar.
next, create a jsf page with a boutton, then i enable the binding of this page by using Design --> Page Properties --> component binding --> check Auto Bind
in the action method of the buton i put the following code :

    Hi John,
Ya ur right i too agree we can go for shared Libraries for reusable or massive apps but we still dont know whether OP is gng on the way and also i never said dont go for shared Libraries+
May be he will be running the application locally for any testing purpose..... if it so i have suggested him not to keep the jar files in the folders outside the project....
Why becoz incase the jar file kept in outside folder,
if the folder gets deleted or some times if it kept in any shared folder and user loses the permission error will be thrown it cant be traced why the error gets throwned....
if the jar is gng to be referred from local best way is to keep it in the project folder itself.............

  • How to run .jar on linux & how to create .jar file using java?

hi, may i know how to run .jar on linux & how to create .jar file using java? Can u provide the steps on doing it.

Look at the manual page for jar:
    # man jar

    # java -jar Prog.jar

  • Create BPEL jar file using Bpelc via Java classes

    HI,
I am trying to create the BPEL files ( xyz.bpel, bpel.xml, xyz.wsdl etc.. ) on the fly using Java code... Once I create all these files, I create a packaged jar (Ex : bpel_xyz_v2006_10_17__37256.jar) file and deploy the same in the Bpel PM.
Right now, in order to create the jar file, I am running the bpelc.bat file under bpel/bin and then using the IBPELDomainHandle, I am deploying the process.
But my requirement is to create the jar file using java rather than executing the bpelc.bat file..
Can you please give me pointers as to how to achieve the same?
    Thanks
    Pramod

Actually, I had figured out the part of calling the Bpelc class, but initially I was trying to create an object of the class and was not able to do so. That was where I got stuck.
Eventually, I did something like the code snippet below and it works fine and the jar file is created. Just fyi for anyone looking in the future.
    String[] setupValues;
    setupValues = new String[]{ "-home", "D:\\product\\10.1.3.1\\OracleAS_1\\bpel", "-rev",
    "1.0", };
    Bpelc.main(setupValues);
    Thanks

  • Using Apache Commons HTTPClient to create a custom socket for Java mail

Does anyone know how to use Apache Commons HTTPClient to create a custom socket for Java mail. This is necessary for me to use NTLM authentication

    JavaMail doesn't use HTTP.
If you want to add support for NTLM authentication to one of the standard protocols,
your best bet is to create a SASL provider, although note that only JavaMail's IMAP
provider uses SASL currently. The other protocols should add SASL support, but that
    hasn't been done yet.

This forum is meant for general Java questions. Your question is better asked on a Apache mailing list:
But before posting there, I suggest you first read u[p on how to ask a question on a public forum or mailing list, because if you post what you now just posted here on a mailing list, I doubt that you'll get answered.

  • ADF Version to be used on a FormsReports 11gR2 install

    Hello everyone,
our customer has installed a vanilla FormsReports 11gR2.
This comes with a WLS 10.3.6 and JRF libraries.
They want to start with ADF development and they wondered what version of ADF is compatible with this FormsReports release?
They want to run Forms & ADF on the same managed server.
The same question but differently formulated: how can you see what version of the JRF libraries are used? Looking at the version numbers in the deployment table of the WLS console is not conclusive.
Thank you very much in advance.
    Filip Huysmans.

    Filip Huysmans wrote:
... how can you see what version of the JRF libraries are used? ...The approach in the blog post "How to find the version of ADF libraries installed on WLS 11g" searches the contents of some JAR file.
A disadvantage could be that a wrong JAR file is searched (of a different installation for which the files are on the same file system) and also that you would need access to the file system where these JAR files are (which might not always be trivial).
Where "wrong JAR" refers to the difference between "installed" (as in the blog post) and "used" (as in your question).
To see what you really have available at run-time, an alternative approach could be to deploy ADFLibrariesVersionsApp.ear [1] and review the response you get from URLs like these:

  • Are JDev autogenerated paths needed to create ear, war and jar files ?

    Hi
We want to create ear, war and jar files from Ant build script generated from JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.
We also like to use ojdeploy with it.
In the process of creating build.xml files from projects, we see these paths.
We also have standalone Weblogic installed with ADF runtime 11.1.1.7
    Questions:
1- Do we need these path ids to generate ear, jar, war files properly and then deploy the ear to our standalone Weblogic so that our webapp can run ok ?
2- Why are they generated, if they are not needed
From research, it appears that we don't need these paths except to keep ant targets of init, compile, exec etc with ojdeploy.
    3- Is that true ?
We are afraid that because no paths are listed in the build.xml, then when we deploy the ear app, it cant use the ADF runtime on the standalone WLS.
    Thanks in advance for answering.

There are two different things here. Using ant to build the class files and then building an ear from the class files and other resources.
The building part needs the libraries if you use javac as compiler. Building an ear file only needs the path to the jar files which are packed into the ear.
In this sense you need the pages you see in the build.xml.
Then Jdev offers another way: ojdeploy. This tool is a Jdev without a gui.
You can use this tool and build the classes for each project of a workspace and to build build war and ear file. This is just like you click the rebuild button for each project and then the deploy the projects and application. If you use this approach you don't need the generated path ids as the whole build process is done inside Jdev as it's done on your developer pc.

  • Adding jar file in my gerareted jar file using netbean 4.0

    Hi,
I write an application de process XML file using JDOM. I add the JDom package jar file to my project and everything work fine. But when I generate, my project jar file using netbean 4.0, my generated jar, is not working with the XML files anymore. Everything seems like it didn't include the JDOM jar file?
Thanks for any help to fix the problem.

I find that you can not use command-line such as java -classpath add classpath
it can not work, I use netBeans4.0 i don't whether because of netbeans or java itself.
you can add classpath in jar's Manifest.mf file
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
    Ant-Version: Apache Ant 1.6.2
    Created-By: 1.5.0_01-b08 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)

    // add this line
    Class-Path: dir\*.jar //(jar file name)
