Creating a Drawing toolbar?

Hi,
I want to know what should I use to make a drawing toolbar I used the JToggleButton at first but can't get a way to select one at a time. I have 10 Items Line, Rectangles, and many other shapes so what should I use to create a toolbar on which One Button is pressed at a time and while drawing the shape the button is kept pressed like in any draiwing toool MSPain etc...

I know but it gives me an error is this code snippe right

Create drawing toolbar for use on website

So first and foremost I need to mention that I am a complete novice when it comes to flash. However, what I need to create is an interactive toolbar to be featured on my website, similar to that of MS word draw toolbar or something like this http://drawisland.com.
It needs to be supported by most browsers so I was informed that Flash would be the way to do this. I'm using a mac and I currently have flash CS5. Any tips would be hugely appreciated

Problems in creating a generic toolbar in the pageTemplate (11.1.1.1.0)

I tried to create a generic toolbar in a pageTemplate using the first method suggested in the Nimphius' blog (ADF declarative method) but I failed to understand and the execute 2 things.
First created the VO actions as describet but I didn't understand how to connect them to the template buttons.
Second I identified buttons as suggested (nextButt and prevButt) but I wasn't able to understand the correct syntax for partial trigger in my panelForm.
Could someone explain me better how to get my result ?

actually I would use a declarative component instead and have a facet in the template to add the declarative component in.

Instead of ADF binding references you can use managed bean methods as well.. I am currently working on getting method expressions in page templates (meaning I am trying to get this on a new feature list), after which templates could invoke listener methods. This then makes the process of creating a toolbar in a template easier

OK, you are getting closer. Now, use your result, and place a Layer above that. Use the Pen Tool to create the "pen strokes" basically tracing over your background image. Then, when you have created each Path (or Sub-Path), choose Stroke Path, with probably the Pencil Tool and a Brush size that is small enough.
Not sure which versions of PS these are good for, but here are some plug-ins, that might be helpful.

Creating a drawing (CAD) program in Java

I'm in the planning stages of creating a drawing/drafting program in Java, and I'm fairly new to Swing, so I need some guidance.
For a drafting program, I will need to be able to draw all kinds of objects using lines, curves, etc, connected in various ways. One thing I could do is extend JComponent and override the paint() method, and have it put up all the various objects as it repaints. The problem with this is that if a user clicks on an object, how will I detect which object he clicked on? I'll get mouse coordinates, but then how do I go from that to knowing that he clicked on a certain curve, etc?
The alternative is to not extend JComponent, but rather to make each of the individual objects on the screen its own component and then lay them out using absolute positioning. Then I'll get mouse events as the user clicks on things. Is this a better way to do it? And if so, I guess I'll still need to create individual components that represent lines, arcs, curves, etc?
Swing has so many features that it's hard for a beginning to get started into it. Thanks for any tips.

Personally I wouldn't work with Swing for this functionality,
but I would rather work with java 2D instead.
Swing contains to much overhead for the kind of application you plan to develop.
Look for the java.awt.Shape interface and to the java.awt.geom.* implementations of such shapes.
It contains already most of the functionality required for painting and hit-detection of a shape on the
screen.

How can I create my own toolbar like SmartBar??

I would like to know how can I create my own toolbar that works like the default smart bar.
I need to work with a smart bar, but i have to create it, and it has to work like the default one.
the smart bar should be able to navigate along my different forms/canvases.
Can someone help me??

you can't change the smart bar. All you can do is to create a hrizontal toolbar canvas.

Use SET PF-STATUS 'ZABC'.
Double click on it.
It will display Application toolbar. Create the buttons.
I think the limitation is bcz of the LABEL of button, if you create buttons with a Single TEXT, then you would be able to create many buttons, including toggle button. The Toggle button would switch the buttons.
i.e say initially 10 buttons are displayed along with toggle button. You click the toggle button , then remaining 10 buttons are displayed.

Powerpoint crashes when trying to view the drawing toolbar

Powerpoint crashes when trying to view the drawing toolbar (spinning wheel). Only option is to force quit.
I've already tried resetting the toolbar and using the disk utility to repair permissions.
I set up a new User Account on the Mac to test it, and everything works fine on the new account.
How can I get it to work on my main user account (and also the guest account that's already set up)?
Checking Microsoft's forum says if it works on a new test account to contact Apple Support.

Application corruption problems:
You need to look in your user Library/Preferences for the .plist.
Hold down the option key while using the Finder "Go To Folder" command. Enter ~/Library. Delete the .plist(s) for the application.
If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below. It does work with Mountain Lion:

You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.2. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

Hi,
I am not really sure what you are trying to do with a new layer but the spreadsheet was hard coded and you cannot add a new layer. In the Symbol Editor, there is a rectangle with dash lines, this is the symbol boundary and you can select Edit>>Resize Boundary Box to make the boundary larger/smaller. Whatever you draw must be inside the boundary, you can only place pins outside the boundary. The switch you created will not toggle in simulation, only the switches in the Master database can do this, R&D have to program them to toggle.

Libreoffice drawing toolbar missing in writer

Am I missing something silly here?

When it's de-selected, the "find" toolbar suddenly appears at the bottom, as if the drawing toolbar removal let it come back into visible space at the bottom of the window... when it's checked, it's like it bumps the find toolbar out of that space but nothing shows up. I haven't used Writer in a while so I'm not sure when this started. I've just always recalled the drawing toolbar down there. What am I missing?

I should have posted back... I did solve the issue, but don't recall what it was. Like quasifilmie said, it might have been me not having libreoffice-draw installed after they moved to separate packages. Not sure if you're familiar with that, but a bit back, the packaging method was changed and one now needs libreoffice-common + whatever other modules. I vaguely recall that I might have been opening a .odg (ODF drawing) but since I didn't have libreoffice-draw, it was opening it in Writer and thus the all-familiar toolbar wasn't present.

How to create a quick toolbar ribbon in Acrobat?

In Office 2007, I find that the ribbon (i.e., quick access toolbar) is extremely handy.
I use it whenever I open the Office 2007.
In Acrobat 9.0 which came with both CS4 and CS5, I don't see the ribbon.
Is there anyway to create the ribbon?
I recently purchased Nitro PDF. It came with the ribbon. Why not with Acrobat?

The ribbon is a design/ui that Microsoft designed. Some people like it. Obviously the company that created Nitropdf fall in that category. Adobe doesn't. Generally, they try to make their applications work the same on all platforms using a similar interface. Creating a new Toolbar

Hello,
I am new to the RoboHelp world, but I am a Programmer by
nature. I would like to know if I can create a toolbar for RoboHelp
so that I can pre-load it with my own formatting and tags for
Paragraphs, Tables, Headings, etc. I have to make it as easy and
non techie as possible for the users trying to create the Help
system are not the most "skilled" at computers and if I can limit
the knowledge needed to create these HTML help files that would be
great. Now I have applied CSS to the HTML files already but when I
apply a new paragraph it wont take on my own tag. So that is why I
want to create just a drag and drop toolbar, I would however be
open to suggestions if I may be looking at this in the wrong way.
I appreciate the time you will have taken to read/reply and I
look forward to working with RoboHelp in the future.

It seems we might have a language problem here. I don't think
DevGraham wants a toolbar with keyboard shortcuts; I think he wants
to standardize the styles to use.
DevGraham:
The CSS style for paragraphs is the P tag (Normal in the
style pull-down); if done correctly, all new paragraphs will use
the assigned style.
Headings, of course, are the H1, H2, etc.
Tables themselves are not controlled by styles, except for
the text within them (we use TableHead and TableRow styles for
this). For pre-formatted tables, check out Peter's
excellent
tutorial on that subject.
Stay away from styles for lists, especially if you'll also be
generating Printed Doc output. Just use the Normal style, then
select the list items and click the Bullet or Number icon in the RH
toolbar; for nested lists, see

How do I put a bookmark in a folder I created on the toolbar. Dragging does not work.

I have created a folder on my toolbar but I can't drag bookmarks into it. Whenever I drag the bookmark and it looks like it will be placed in the folder the bookmark is simply repositioned. I've tried right clicking but there is nothing that shows up about moving a bookmark to the folder. Thanks.
