Creating a dynamic PHP link

Question

I have a page that pulls a file path from a PHP database as a
dynamic link, only if the path field is not null. At this time, I'm
storing a piece of the file path in the db, and would like to move
away from that, but can't figure out the correct syntax.
The code currently reads as below, where 'audFile' returns a
value of "/music/filename.mp3". I want to move the /music/ piece of
the path out of the db and into the code. What would the correct
syntax be?
