How can i create a planning layout in BW BPS(3.5 unicode) and use it in crm 5.0 ?
Any thoughts how to do it please.

Inform me if i am getting it right...
Step 1 : You are loading data for 2007 for example, do the distributions, everything is ok.
Step 2 : You are loading data for 2008, do the distributions, the data from 2007 are distributed too.
If this is the case just create a data slice gor 0fiscyear, to restrict the data to be affected by the planning functions.
Or is the Step 2 is that you are loading extra data for 2007 ?

When you create a PostScript file you must rely on system fonts and use document fonts

I got this error:
"When you create a PostScript file you must rely on system fonts and use document fonts. Please go to the printer properties, "Adobe PDF Settings" page and turn OFF the option "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts."
This strikes me as bad practice. I only want to use system fonts and document fonts will muck me up.
That being said, I could not easily find a way to fix this with Acrobat Pro XI. I opened Control Panel (Windows 8) and found the printer and mucked around in the various ways to get to change the PDF settings (there are several ways, and some of them present the choices as bold and not just regular). I found two separate switches for "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts" and turned both off, BUT that did not work.
Frustrated, I went back to FrameMaker and clicked File > Print Setup and then for the PDF printer, Printer Properties. There I found a THIRD instance of "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts" that was set differently than the other two. This was the setting the error message meant. Change this one.

This is not a supported configuration and probably does not work, due (I'm guessing) to driver API changes from XP to Win7, which would affect generating PDF and Ps output. This would affect Save-as-PDF and Print-to-Ps+Distill (unless you have a newer version of the full Acrobat product).
As it happens, I'm going to attempt something similar: FM 7.0 on Win7 64 Pro. However, I'm going to install that old FM in "XP Mode".
XP Mode is a 32-bit virtual machine running actual Windows XP inside Win7. It is (now maybe "was") available for Windows 7 Enterprise, Professional and Ultimate (but not Basic, Home or not-so-Premium). When XP went off support life earlier this month, Mr.Bill may have taken down the ability to download XP Mode (or not, since some large enterprises are able to purchase continued support for XP at some great cost). XP Mode never was supported for Win8. There are other VMs for Windows available.
If XP Mode is still available, you also need a CPU that has hardware virtualization, which all recent 64-bit AMD processors do, but which is fused-off in many low end 64-bit Intel processors. AMD processors need a separate unobvious hot-fix patch installed before you do anything else about XP Mode.

Why don't I see shapes (created with my iPhone 5s) in creative cloud (for iOS) and used space in CC is 0 MB? Where are they stored?

I installed Adobe Shape on my iPhone (iOS 8) and don't see, where the shapes are saved.
In CC app for iOS there are no files (and used space in CC is 0 Mb). And I don't see my shapes in your other your apps (for iOS: Ideas, Photoshop Mix).
How can I export shapes to any files storages?

The CC app for iOS does not currently show assets in CC Libraries. The app only shows assets in folders. Check out this thread for details on how to get your shapes.

Creating Planning layout and profile in Integated planning

We have a requirement like to craete a planning profile and planning Layout in in bi(Planning profile and Planning layout concept like bps) in Integrated Planning.We want to know what is the corresponding structures in Integrated Planning for planning profile and planning Layout .The requirement is in CRM once we create the structure crm will use the same for acessing the data.
If any one has already worked on that or having any doc please give ur suggestions .

Hello Rael,
Basically you have 2 options:
- Use the same trick as in the how to paper "How to call a BPS Web Interface with predefined variable values" (see service market place, alias BW, then BI Planning). In the BSP page you do not set a variable value but use the BPS API to execute a planning function (just call the function module API_SEMBPS_FUNCTION_EXECUTE). When using the url parameters in a similar way as in the how to paper you can call different function modules for different web applications.
- You can use the application class in the web interface builder and call the function in the "on load" method. There is a how to paper describing how such a application class can be used (Validate key figure values in manual planning - web). Note that there another event is used and thus a check AFTER input is done.
Well - the second option might be a little more elegant but I think the first one is definitely less complicated and less work...

Hi:
To see the output you have to assign the layout to a planning profile and go to manual planning transaction picking the profile where you assigned the new layout.
Besides, I believe to remember you can navigate from the layout (when you are creating it) to manual planning (look for it in the menu ("go to" or similar)). It is useful to test it.

My Client is a German Company. Controlling Area currency is EURO, It has operations in India also.
For India, required to create BDC for Activity rate planning.
1. Is it necessary to create separate Planning Layout for INR currency?..I did not find any currency in standard layout.
2. Please explain how it works. whether it takes Cost Center currency or Controlling Area currency?

Hi,
The standard setting for the leading currency plans the transaction currency for costs and the controlling area currency for prices. This is the Standard design. Please review 100379 & 183556 for further information on this.
Please pay attention to the following section of note 100379:
'Note: you can only change these settings in the following Transactions: KP97 (as of Release 3.1I) and KP98 (as of Release
4.6), as well as CP97 and CP98 (as of Release 4.6C). However, you should only carry this out after you have taken Note 183556 into account.'

Planning Layout - Library/Reporting Table Assignement ?

Hello,
Anybody knows how to add characteristics/key figures to the ones available in standard when creating a planning layout for manual planning ? Via table KPPT you can deduct that planning areas are asigned to sort of libraries (1P1, 1P2...) but these libraries cannot be found in table T801K.

When you create a new element as you describe, one can select among proposed characteristics/key figures but if I want to use one that is not proposed; is there a solution for that. My precise request is to be able to include budgeted costs in a cost element planning layout.

Planning layout - If all KFs are Zero in Actual Cube

I have created two cubes, actuals and planning cubes. Created a planning layout in Multi planning area.
In the layout settings, i have selected , select from transactional Data option.
There are lot of entries in Actuals cube, for which all the Key figure values are zero.
However, i would like to show records also in the layout, so that users can enter the plan values.
Lets say, if the last year sales are zero ( from actual cube), still users would like to do the planning for future.
Is there any workaround to display those records from actuals cube for which all the key figure values are zero ?

I know, where to make the setting. Since we have 200000 products and 5000 customers, we would not want to select all possible combinations.
I would be interested writing a FOX formula ( 2nd part of Andrey's solution).
Anyway, i have figured out the workaround. I have just increased the number of decimal places in one KF. If all the KFs are Zero, in the cube transformation, i am changing the zero to 0,0001.
In the layout, i am displaying only 2 decimals.
It is working as expected.

Planning Layout -KP66 with dynamic period column

Dear experts,
I would like to create a planning layout for cost center/ cost elements in which we have the different periods in the columns .The periods in the columns should dynamically select according to the planning cycle selected in the excel file.

According to planning cycle my period column should change dynamically.Please let us know how to create planning layout with dynamic period columns. I donot want to create the planning layout with 12 period columns to upload the data.

Dear experts,
I would like to create a planning layout for cost center/ cost elements in which we have the different periods in the columns (1-12). This layout I could already create, but now the business asked to have the number of columns selected dynamically in the selection screen ( eg: I want to enter the data as of April till December).
The reason behind this is that the planning periods of Jan - Mar will be locked when we will enter the data from April to December. My first layout does not allow to enter any data if Jan - Mar is locked.
In other words, would it be possible to have the periods in the selection screen AND in the columns of your layout?

I have found a solution to upload data via excel though:
If for example periods 1-4 are locked you should start your layout in excel as of period 5 but you should repeat period 12, five times (to get to 12 columns/periods). This way you will be able to process the file with a planning layout for a year where some periods are blocked)

What you mean series commitment item for subtotal? for planning or reporting.
To create new planning layout, just copy the standard planning layout and add the new column, select the attribute for distribution key.

Planning Layout KP75 - Max 30 columns allowed in the layout

Hi,
I am trying to create a Planning layout(Excel Upload for KP26) in Transaction Code KP75.
But when i am trying to create the columns, it is giving the error message that "Max of 30 column are allowed in the planning layout".
But my requriement is to have around 40 columns.
So is there any way that we can extend the max columns allows to 40.
