Creating a small transition video 100px

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the appropriate flash thread to start
here but since it's listed under Media I thought I'd stick it under
this subcategory.
What I'm trying to do is make a 100 x 100 pixels (small)
video for a sig. I wanted to take 3 different clips, put them
together and make a slow transitional video where the scenes go
slow and gradually change. I'm very new to Flash so I'm not sure
what I'm doing. First I attempted to import one wmv file to the
library and dragged it to the white box. I then attempted to cut
down the video by deleting the frames but all that did was move the
video to start at later frames instead of editing it down so I
could shorten it. I also tried doing a tween but that didn't do
anything at all (not that I know what it's for anyway, lol). I
tried using the Flash Help but all it did was confuse me with the
instructions to cut and clip video where they don't even tell me
where to find this tool to do just that.
Can anyone help me please? I would really appreciate your
suggestions! :)

Okay.....
I had hoped someone could give me some suggestions about how
to create the effect I wanted. I tried to do this on my own but
unfortunately it still didn't have the effect I wanted. How can I
get the scenes to gradually transition and integrate into another
scene smoothly without white in white out? Also, is there a way I
can prolong them so the effect lasts longer? I tried the transition
effects but all it did was create the fade in fade out effect not
prolong it. What can I do?
Another frustrating difficulty I've been having is that
somehow when I try to add the transition effects and move them so
they all occur closely with the layers (1 movie clip for each
layer), they don't finish the scene? It gets cut off? Each of the
clips I have on here that you see aren't showing the complete shot
just gets cuts off before each scene finishes. Why is it doing
this?
I also had problems uploading to swf. file so I had no choice
but to try gif.

but i cant follow 100% what he is doing.
Guide that i did try to follow is at this link: How To Create A Website Background Video In Adobe Edge Animate Using Edgehero - YouTube
Steps i do in Adobe Edge Animate CC
    1.) Create New
2.) i click + sign under section Library >> Scripts >> Add JS File from URL...
URL that i am adding is: http://www.edgehero.com/edgehero.js/1.2/edgehero_1.2_min.js  (URL is taken from site: Edgehero.js )
I add this link: http://www.edgehero.com/edgehero.js/1.2/edgehero_1.2_min.js to box that occures after i click on Add JS File from URL
3.) I go to Edgehero.js and from there i scrol down to section named as Media - Html5 video / Html5 audio
and i select from there this:
    there is a code:
// this will set the video as background of the div/rectangle
    backgroundvideo_1 ='movie.mp4';
// put new edgehero.js variables here
4.) I go to Adobe Edge Animate CC 2014 and right click on project and select Open Actions for "Stage"
and then i click on + sign and select creationComplete
    This will open Stage window
there i will copy this code:
// this will set the video as background of the div/rectangle
    backgroundvideo_1 ='movie.mp4';
// put new edgehero.js variables here
5.) Then i click on ++ sign under library >> Video
and i add video from my computer SSD drive.
    Video is named as video3.mp4
Now i eddit the code in Stage window (See above)
code will look after editing like this:
Then i change under left side px to %
6.) Then i copy backgroundvideo_1 from Stage Code:
Then i select Rectangle Tool and mark the area  (white box) and i click on small C icon
And the box that occures i type there backgroundvideo_1_mp4 autoplay
now when i use ctrl and enter i only get gray box that does not play video.
    What am i doing wrong?

    Here is the html file.
Note video file that i try to add is random training video from youtube, And file format is saved using this site:

  • Link Subtitles To a Transition video first ?

Hello, (sorry for my bad english)
I'm on Adobe CS5.1 (seven 64) DVD project.
I have 4 videos with each 2 subtitles english/ french.
    I have 1 main menu with 5 buttons :
    - video1 menu
    - video2 menu
    - video3 menu
    - video4 menu
    - subtitle menu => en - fr - off
In the subtitle menu if I specify the link to each menu video1-4.
    All the subtitles work!
But if I specify the link to a transition video (AE comp) with end action
each video menu, only subtitle 1 works (en).
    Is it normal ?
I hope I was clear lol
    Thanks
    Steph

Use playlists, not direct links. Create a list for each language that contains the transition clip and the main timeline.

  • Trying to create this Text Transition...

Hi guys, can anyone help, I'm trying to create a text transition like the one below in FCP...
    http://www.alex.mastersofcreation.com/alexw/spacetesttransition/spacetesttransit ion.html
Just something similar, does anyone know of any useful plugins or tips?
    Thanks

Create your text layer with the title and blow it up to be the size of the screen and keyframe it so it moves right>left. Place the second layer of video (the one you're transitioning into) below the text layer, and set the text layer's composite "Travel Matte".
Nest (or export with an alpha channel and bring back in) this sequence above your first layer of video.

  • Want to create a small Movie to play on ipod

    Hallo
I want to create a small Movie-file to play on my iPod, but I don't want to use the quite large Standard iPod-Format. What other choices do I have? I tried MPEG4, but it didn't play.
I produce a Videopodcast, and want to keep the size small, and it should also play on iPods.
    Any Suggestions?
    Thanks everybody.
    Greetings from Switzerland
    Rolf

Okay, thank you for trying to help me, but I guess, I didn't make clear what I really want.It would be a lot easier if you simply stated a target file size for a given duration here. For instance, lets say you want an iPod file targeted at 3 MBs/min or 9 MBs for your 3 minute file. This would require you to limit your audio plus video data rate to an average of approximately 384 Kbps. Since this is roughly half the data rate recommended for a 320 x 240 "Baseline" profile H.264/AAC iPod/Podcast file, your would have to use alternaive compression settings to the "iPod" preset. If I assume you wish to use QT Pro as your current workflow would suggest, then the obvious solution would be to use the "Movie to MPEG-4" export option since the lowest available "auto-adaptive Movie to iPod" option would be twice this figure.
    QT Pro Export option: MPEG-4
    File Format: MP4
    Video Tab Settings:
    Video Format: H.264
    Data Rate: 320 Kbps
Image Size: 320 QVGA (for 4:3 aspect ratio) or as appropriate for other aspects at 320 pixel width
    Frame Rate: Current
    Key Frame: Automatic
    Video Options: Baseline/Faster Encode
    Audio Tab Setttings:
    Audio Format: AAC-LC (Music)
    Data Rate: 64 Kbps
    Channels: Mono or Stereo
    Output Sample Rate: 44.1 KHz
    Encoding quality: Better
    Streaming Settings:
    Enable streaming box: Unchecked
One the other hand, if all you want to do is half your current output file size, then:
open your DV file in the QT Player
open the "Show Movie Properties" window
    select the video track
    select the "Visual Settings" tab
turn Preserve Aspect Ratio off if needed
enter 320 x 240 or other 320 width aspect ratio "Scaled Size" settings
and convert using the "Movie to iPod" export option
This series of steps forces the "auto-adaptive" function to export as an H.264/AAC "Baseline" profile with video data rate limited to less than 768 Kbps and a 128 Kbps/44.1 KHz stereo audio track or roughly half the file size of your current "Baseline Low Complexity" profile. Both of these possibilities, of course, assume you would be satisfied with the reduced display size (320 x 240 QVGA) iPod compatible/Podcast file format and the quality produced in the 3 MBs/min to 6 MBs/min range covered by these two suggestions.
    P.S.,
Is there any particular reason you are not exporting directly from FCE to your iPod/Podcast target file?

  • [solved] dvdrip creates too small files

    hi,
The output .avi files have not the selected bitrate / size.
    The Setteings in dvdrip are:
    Bitrate: 3422
    BPP: 0.581
    Target-Size: 1100MB
the dvdrip.info file contains the right informations:
    Video format: PAL
    FPS: 25.000
    Size: 640 x 368
    Video bitrate (kbps): 3422
    Video codec: xvid4
    2-pass-encoded: yes
    Fast resizing: no
    Deinterlacer filter:
    Antialiasing filter: no Antialiasing
but the file is only ~740MB with 2230 kbps.

    Ah, ok.
Is there any option to keep aspect ratio?
handbrake --help shows no such Option.
Keeps handbrake the aspect ratio by default?
I mean, when I use the --width option will handbrake keep the aspect ratio and calculate the correct height?
    EDIT:
I found the answer in the HandBrake forums:
    http://handbrake.m0k.org/forum/viewtopi … 369b7ec4f4
You get it by default in the CLI. Only turns off if you specify both width and height.
    EDIT:
handbrake stops with ''Segmentation fault''. I opened another thread for it.
    http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=32061
    Problem is solved.
I like HandBrake. It's fast with, IMHO, good quality.
    Thanks for the tip!
    EDIT:
No ideas about the dvdrip problem?
I removed dvdrip and all the configs, reinstalled it, reinstalled transcode and xvidcore; but the target files still doesn't match the selected target size.
A week ago it has worked.
So maybe I'll restore my last System Backup (from April, 12) and report the results here.
    EDIT:
Seems to be related to the settings / config of the used video codec and the input file(s).
I have 2 movies on the DVD. The first one is encoded with correct target size (1100MB).
I tried it with dvdrip/transcode and also with HandBrake using xvid and ffmpeg/lavc.
The second is not encoded with selected target size. Using Handbrake with lavc as encoder, I noticed this message from lavc after the first pass:
Using all of requested bitrate is not necessary for this video with these parameters
I found this in the ffmpeg-devel list
Another thing: I just now changed the phrase:
"Using all of requested bitrate is not possible"
    ...to...
"Using all of requested bitrate is not necessary"
The former implies lavc is deficient in not doing what the user wants,
    which isn't the case.
With B-frames, the PSNR is about the same, but note that the bitrate is
much lower. lavc printed a notice about that: "Using all of requested
bitrate is not necessary for this video with these parameters." The
reason, here, is that lavc uses higher quantizers to encode B-frames,
and, hence, a lower bitrate. With this clip, 7000 kbits/sec is so high
that lavc can't reallocate the saved bitrate by lowering the quantizers
of enough non B-frames--once all the I- and P-frames have a quantizer of
2, the minimum allowed, the rest of the bitrate cannot be used.
So I guess it's not a problem of dvdrip, but depends on the settings of lavc.
Since the file xvid creates is smaller than target size too, I guess it's a similar thing, but don't know...
I use the default settings, since I don't know anything about these PSNR, B, I and P frames.
However, I'll set the topic to solved; cause it's not a problem of dvdrip.

  • Problem to create a time-lapse video

    Hello all,
I'm encountering a problem with my CS5.1 , let me explain . I want to create a time-lapse video from many pictures i've taken,  But when i go to File------Automate------Batch , then I'm supposed to find in Actions something called "Time-Lapse processing " or something like this, but it's not there !!
Can you help me in how i can get this work, please ? much appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum.
It appears that you are looking to process your Still Images in Photoshop, with an Action, and then via Automate to Batch. Is that correct?
Premiere Pro does not use Actions, and has no Automate>Batch.
However, if one is doing Time-Lapse Video, PrPro can do that nicely.
First, will you have any Video, or only Still Images?
If ONLY Still Images, then you must address your intended delivery, say DVD-Video, or BD, or streaming media. That will determine your Project/Sequence Preset.
Let's say that you intend to create a BD (Blu-ray Disc), in full-HD, then you can choose a 1920 x 1080 Project, at a FPS for where you are, such as NTSC = 29.97 FPS.
After you have perhaps Scaled your Still Images in Photoshop, and named them in sequence, such as ____00001 through ____0000x, all in one folder, you can then Import that Numbered Still Sequence into PrPro, and even add a Transition, if needed.
For most true Time-Lapse, one would choose a Duration of 1 Frame, but for a bit of a Stop-Motion "look," then 3 - 5 Frame Duration might be better. You can always experiment with a few of your Images, to see what suits your tastes and desires. For most of what I do, the Stop-Motion look is my choice, and I will usually choose a Duration of 3 Frames, with a tiny Cross-Dissolve between those Frames. This is your artistic choice. There is no right, or wrong choice.
Hope that helps, and for the Photoshop aspect, you might want to post the question here: http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop/general
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • How to Create Page Curl Transitions

Im currently using Acrobat 9 and the Adobe CS4 creative suite on a PC. This is my situation.
I'm creating an interactive PDF (links, text anchors, videos, hyperlinks, rollovers, etc...) Creating this original file in Indesign (because it is based on our printed literature) Then using the new CS4 features and exporting to PDF.
We are sending these files to surgeon, agents, reps, etc... on CDs to use. They are not the most high tech/compter savy people, enhance using the PDF over the easier format SWF to do this task.
When I export to PDF the page trastion in IDCS4 no long works (since is it SWF based)
When I open Acrobat 9 Pro to create the page transition it is not an option. You get the typical blinds, combs, wipes, etc...
Is there a way to create a page curl in Acrobat 9 Pro?? Maybe a plug in or an added feature or maybe somewhere/somehow I don't know in the program??
    Thank you!!!!
    Jenna

I've never heard of anything for Acrobat that will help acieve a PDF page curl. Most of them I've seen are flash based rather than PDF. Acrobat only has the transitions (that you've already found).
Maybe a third party application. I know this one is somewhat popular: http://pageflip.hu/
Edit: And as with all flash based items, I would suggest giving them a normal PDF as an alternative.

  • What to use to create a picture and video slideshow/presentation?

I was curious as to what someone would use in order to create a picture and video presentation/slideshow?
I think that iPhoto does a good job with getting all your pictures in order, and then using the templates and choosing your music to create a slideshow. However, if one wanted to include some video and narration into the slideshow, I imagine that they would need to use iMovie as well.
I know that you can drop images into iMovie as well, and I think they are automatically given Ken Burns effect, but if you have a lot of images, I think it gets pretty tedious working with all those photos, when iPhoto will already do all of that for you.
So, long story short. I would like to make a presentation with video and images. I would like to use multiple songs, and possible trim the amount of each particular song down, so there is some sort of mix/flow from one song to the other. I would also like to be able to record a narration and include it in the slideshow. I know that iMovie does a lot of that...I saw the narration feature, and the ability to trim the songs back some, and include more than one song. It also has the ability to choose only the portion of video that I want. So would you pre-create the photo portion of your slideshow in iPhoto, convert it to a movie, and dump it into iMovie? That seems clunky.
What process would you use? In my mind, I picture using a program that had some sort of timeline in order to be able to fine tune the audio and video, and iMovie has a timeline of sorts.
    Currently running iLife '09.

    Ian
I've been working for the last three weeks on a project like the one you describe. It turns out to be far beyond my limited competence, but I'm committed and have to trudge on.
Mine may be a little different from yours in that it has the equivalent of 106 "slides." There are twenty video. The "stills" are either text I've made in Word and saved to iPhoto as a pdf doc or photos. I've engaged actors to read the text that goes with most of still-slides. I thought I could create individual slides with the sound 'attached,' string them together and then make a movie out of the Power Point or Keynote slide show.
    Nothing has worked so far.
iMovie has been a special heartbreaker. I've had at least a half-dozen chats with Apple Care and a couple of trips to an Apple Store to solve one challenge after another.
I can help with  Ken Burns. Tedious is not a strong enough word, and the 'help' menu is not helpful, because it is Wrong., The controls are NOT the least bit intuitive. In fact, they make no sense - at least to me.
[I gave up on iMovie the first time because of Ken and the absence of intelligible instructions to make him leave.]
    (1) Not finding the control. "Help" says to click on the crop icon on the tool bar (between mic and i) or to type "C". All I get is the crop function - Ken is nowhere to be seen.
    (2) Finding it. The crop icon that should have been designated is accessible when you select a still photo. The hand icon appears; on the left side there is column of three icons. On top is Crop; the middle is the duration for the still - the default default is "4 s" // the bottom icon is the gear. Click the gear; there are four rows of choices; click the one at the bottom  "cropping, Ken Burns & Rotation". At the top left corner there are three boxes "fit | crop | Ken Burns"// select "Fit" and Ken Burns is turned off. Why is "fit" is the opposite of "Ken Burns"? I don't know.
Here's a warning and a sad tale. I spent about three days getting the first 64 still/videos/transitions and audio clips assembled the way I wanted them. The audio for 65 went in okay and it looked okay, but nothing would make it play. 66 was okay but not 67 or any subsequent attempt - although the videos after 67 were okay.
During my final Apple Care conversation the diagnosis was: "corruption." Start over again with a new project!
I could select, copy and paste the visuals in those three moves, but the audios had to go over one at a time. Since you can't have two projects going at the same time, I'd have to copy one audio clip from the old project, select the new project and wait for it to come up, make the paste, and then wait for the old project to come up.
So watch out. I gave up on iMovie because the recreation of a new project would be so agonizing and with such a big project, I don't know how to avoid "corruption" for sure, and neither did the guy at Applecare.  I switched to iPhoto, but after a day I realize that it's audio capability requires a process as tedious as trying to redo the iMovie.
Final Cut Pro is probably the right program but that's a whole other thing.

  • How can I create a custom sized video in PP cs6?

How can I create a custom sized video in PP cs6? I have read references to the "desktop" setting but cannot find it. I am trying to find the right settings for a 1080 px x 486 px video (which I need to qualify for hi res on Vimeo).  I need to output a 450 x 1000 px video for
my website. Ideally, I'd like the sequence settings as well as the output settings. I am using still shots- no actual video.

What are the exact properties of the still images, particularly the pixel dimensions and pixel aspect ratio (PAR).* The letterboxing (black bars top & bottom) is most likely a result of a mismatch in these settings. If this is the case, then the easiest fix is to make sure not only the dimensions but the PAR match.
Say for instance your source images are 1000x1000 with a PAR of 1.0 (square pixels) and your sequence is set also set to 1000x1000 but with the PAR set to D1/DV NTSC (0.9091), the result would be letterboxing as seen here:
*if you're not sure about the PAR of your source images, right click on one of them in the Project panel and select Properties.

  • Creating a small HTML-Editor using JEditorPane

Hello! I'm trying to create a small HTML-Editor. Via this editor users shall be capable to create formatted text (bold, italic, underlined, different sizes, different fonts, different colors). 1. When I create an instance of my editor, I initialize it with some html-code.

Can anybody help me to change this behavior?

  • Creating a small business website...

Hello! I would like to create a small business website using iweb. I created something simple, and I am happy with it, but I was wondering if anyone knew how I could use it with a regular website address (www.company.com) instead of web.mac.com/company and still use iweb. Any tips or advice would be great. Thanks!

  • Creating a small "o" with a dash over it??

I'm using IDCS2 on a PC and need to know how to create a small "o" with a horizontal dash over the "o". I'm doing a story for a product named Zon that has a dash over the "o" so it's pronounced Zone. I have a character reference chart for Windows using keyboard strokes and has all sorts of different "o" characters but not one with a dash.
Word has the character available but when I paste the story into InDesign, the "o" with the dash disappears. The only way I can accomplish what I need that I can see is to wait until the story is finalized then actually draw a dash. ?????
Any ideas how to get the actual "o" with a dash character into InDesign?

    ..  I can't say I ever tried to use combining accents ..
It's not something you can try on for size, the font has to contain them.
Accents come in two distinct flavours: combining and non-combining (aka. non-spacing and spacing -- the other way around). The non-combining usually are centred in a half-em space, with that half-em being its character width. Typing them will insert them to the right of your base character, 'above' an empty space. As Scott shows, you need to move the accent to the left by eye.
The combining ones, on the other hand, have a zero width and are drawn on the left hand side of 'empty space'. If you insert them right after a base character, this accent will automatically appear above this character. It is not perfect because the font designer has to decide which character width to base the positioning on (a, e, o, u, or even dotless i -- or even w, n, m, c ... ) and it will look good for some combo's where others still need some manual fine tuning.
Fonts that include separate accents usually just have the spacing ones. Off-hand, Arial Unicode MS is one font that has both 'flavours' -- I can insert first an 'a', then a '̀' to see à (and if you don't have that font on your system, it looks like this: à).
OpenType fonts may contain tables that positions arbitrary accents onto any character, and always in the correct position, but ID lags behind with proper support for this.

How can I copy part of a larger PDF file and create a smaller one?

    Hi,
Copy the content of PDF file in Adobe Reader and paset it to MS Word then create PDF file from the Word file.
This may not work for all PDF files as some PDF files are not created correctly or some content cannot be copied.
Acrobat XI Pro has features to extract/delete/crop pages in PDF files and you can download it from www.adobe.com(Trial version- 30 days free). Or you can upgrade your subscription to Acrobat Plus and see more information at https://www.acrobat.com/acrobatplus/en/home.html
