Creating Activity Diagram from existing code in 11g

Hi,
How can I create activity diagram for an existing application in 11.1.2.2.0 version?

Do you mean you select activity diagram in wizard but you see classes (not invocations/partitions etc) on created diagram?
If so.. it's a design, you just see activity diagram with inappropriate elemnts.
We support to create any diagram from any elemnts but may be it's better to block diagram creation from not appliable elemnts.

Unable to Create Entity Model from existing oracle database

I am using Visual Studio 2013, .net framework 4.5, entity framework 5.0 and oracle 11g database.
Issue Description: I need to develop WCF service to exposing the account information which needs to get the data from 20 oracle tables. Trying to create entity model from existing oracle database. first i tried creating just two tables it
was created but it took more than 30 minutes. then i selected remaining few tables it took more than a days but nothing created just showing spinning the wheel. then i tried with fresh project and selected all the tables but same issue nothing created and
also there is no error. during this process i checked database query monitoring there is a big sql statement collection tables metadata. i don't know what was wrong the query taking too much time to complete the process.
we tried multiple machine and different oracle database all are same issue.
Sql server database -looks good no issues.
Any help/tips/ideas welcome to overcome this issue.

This is still not clear. To post a screenshot get the "stuff" you want to show in view on your screen, then type the key combination <Command>+<Shift>+3. The cursor will change to a crosshair. Click and hold on the top-left corner, then drag to enclose what you want to show (to the bottom-right corner), then release. The graph does not seem to be associated with the table of data you are showing. Generally when you highlight a graph the corresponding table will highlight and show the source of each of the series in the graph (dark and light blue).

Right now I think there is ANOTHER table arround that is the source for the graph and the table you show is "just another table". You can move your data into the table the graph refers to by copy and paste, or simply typing the values. You can change how many series there are by grabbing the little circle at the bottom right of the highlighted cells (when you have the graph highlighted) and dragging as shown:

I am try to create web service from java code by default it is connected to Integrated web logic server and generate a

Just right click on your project and deploy it to your application server (Weblogic Server (Not the Integrated server)). {Before that, you have create your Application server connection in the Jdeveloper).
After deployment open the Admin console of the weblogic server and find your ear of the project.Click on that (Go to the "Testing tab") and you will get the "WSDL" (Concreate wsdl) and "Test Client" of the Project.

Set custom Makefile that use a GNU GCC
Issue on C++ code assistance:
- some times GCC C++ include file not found
- some time doesn't find external include file
- some .h (some times all) and .cc are excluded from code assistance
What Do I have to do if for instance C++ assistance didn't find <vector>
What Do I have to do if all .h are excluded from C++ code assistance or are assign to custom build tool?
Is there a tutorial to configure in the right way code assistance when we have a custom Makefile with GNU GCC compiler?

Error message in creating EBP users from existing SU01 users

I am getting the following error messages when i try to create EBP users from existing SU01 users using users_gen: Error during creation of user: User not created or error(s) occurred during user creation. ``Central person`` already exists for user (BBPU_MESSAGES 042). Pls what does it mean and how do i solve this?

The message is indicating that the user you are attempting to create was previously created in the EBP system.
First I would try to correct the user via users_gen using the "check users" option. This may repair the user, but if the user has lost the association to the org then you will need to take some manual steps to re-establish the links for the user in the org details.
If this doesn't correct it, then use transaction PP01 to correct/verify the following relationships for the user. Start with the org unit and work your way down looking for the broken link/s.
Here are the required relationships for the objects:

Copying a UML activity diagram from 1 database to another within BPA

Is it possible to copy a UML activity diagram from one database to another database within BPA, there does not need to be a link between the original and copied diagrams? This is possible by Export/Import.

I haven't tried this specifically with the UML Activity diagram but generally yes all models can be exported as XML and imported into another BPA database. If they are on the same server you may also use the merge capability to move models, objects and folders between DBs. For merge, you have to have the same folder structure in both DBs and and drag the thing you want to merge and drop it on the DB name.

Problem creating webservice from existing code in sjse8

I have a java class with three methods in an enterprise app (no ejbs) that I want to expose with webservice. In sudio5 I had no problem with webservice creation but in studio8 when I chose "From scratch, Use existing code", it gives me the opting to go to my class and select those methods. When I click finish, it generates an Implementation class that has declaration for my java class repeated 3 times which is obviously wrong and under it says:

The class is empty.
I choose "rpcliteral", "strict", "useonewayoperations" and "donotoverride" under web module property / webservice.
And as you can guess it generates a wsdl file with no webservice methods info.
I have and am checking all forums and searching different sites but haven't fond anything yet.
I appreciate any help resolving this issue.

Is there a way for netbeans to generate UML Diagrams for existing files? Does it generate them automatically?

Right click on the class, package or project you want to model and select "Reverse Engineer" from the popup menu. This assumes that you're using version 6.

I have a web application written in Java/Jsp's. I am looking to generate sequence diagrams automatically for the existing source code using this tool. I am not sure if this is possible using this tool. Can some one please explain me if that is possible using this IDE tool? If so can you please let me know how this can be done?

Hi,
Yes, you can reverse engineer operations and create sequence diagrams using Java Studio Enterprise.
Just right-click on the operation in the UML model that has the source file associated with it, and select "Create Diagram from Selected elements" or "Reverse Engineer Operation".

When you performing RMAN duplicate why you making your script so complicated?
Your instance name and DB name can be different, But what is the contents in your pfile "D:\TESTDELETE\initclonedb1.ora" ? please do post
Have you started any other services related to ORACLE? check in start --> run --> services.msc any other active oracles services, Make sure you have clonedb1.

First run duplicate from auxiliary server as

Am not sure what you are trying to do. is it 11gR1 or 11gR2?
You have option of duplicate from active database without having backup also..

Help needed to create active links from a database

I want to create active links to web addresses stored in my
Access database and returned on the detail page of a Master/Detail
set. The code below returns the correct entry from the database
field - but I can't seem to make it an active link.

How to create new solution from Existing solution in integration services on TFS project?

Hi,
I am working on SSIS Project and it is created in VS 2008 .I opened the solution in VS 2010 and it is upgraded and unfortynately i don't have the back up to re open it in VS 2008.I am thinking of creating new solution from the existing one and open the new
solution in VS 2008.I was struck how can we copy existing solution to new solution on TFS.
Please let me know will this process work? and also how can we create a new solution without losing any files.

How to create dll file from c code to use in compactrio 9004 RT controller

I am using Compactrio 9004 Real time controller and i am new to this. I have a C code and i want to use this with the RT controller.I red that that can be done by creating a dll file and can be called in labview.Can any body expalin how to create a DLL from the c code and be used with this RT controlelr?

There is another KB article about this for Pharlap based controllers. And you are right the earlier CompactRIO controllers were Pharlap based. Basically for a deployed application to work, you need to put the DLL through FTP in "/ni-rt/system". If you deploy it directly from the project everything will be loaded into memory through the project environment itself including directly dependable DLLs, (but of course won't survive a power cycle).
I hope you are aware that while Windows DLLs can work on Pharlap OS they by no means will do so always. The Pharlap OS has not a fully featured Windows API. Also you need to be careful which version of Visual C you are going to use depending on the Pharlap OS version, since the VC runtime DLLs already present on the controller will need to be the same as the ones your Visual C environment likes to link in. Recent Pharlap OS versions use the msvcr71.dll. It's very possible that those runtime libraries can't just simply be copied from a normal Windows installation but might have been recompiled by NI specifically for their controller targets.
So to avoid problems it's a good idea to make sure your DLL uses the same runtime library DLL or make your DLL to include the static MS runtime.
