Creating dead time for switching pulses

dear all
I want create some dead time for switching on the switches in a single leg in 3 phase controlled rectifier application. how can i create this dead time in labview for my switching pulses? and it should be in micro seconds. is it possible for dead time in microseconds? when i am using delay time i am getting the delay in milli seconds only.

It depends on your hardware and your software. The standard Wait function in LV has millisecond resolution. Software timing is also dependent on OS latencies which can run to tens of milliseconds and occasionally much longer.
Most (but not all) analog output devices can use hardware timing. Some (but surprisingly few) digital output devices can use hardware timing. The devices with hardware timing may be able to generate the signal you want but it depends on the clock speed and the buffer sizes. If your device has multiple counter-timers, you might be able to generate a delayed pulse. Most of the NI counter-timers work with timebases fo 10 to 80 MHz and would be fast enough.
It might be safer for your switches to have the deadtime generated in hardware.

2. Remove the HP PS C4280 software from your computers Control Panel's Uninstall a program option.

Generate complementary digital signals with dead time between each pulse and controlled by duty ratio

I am to generate two complementary digital signals using NI 9606 conected by RIO Mezannine Card to NI 9683 (Half Bridge DO).
I am able to generate the signals but I am not able to put dead time between high and low signal and also, low and high signal.
Requirement:
(1) When the first signal goes high and the second signal goes low, there should be a controllable dead time.
(2) Also when the second signal goes high and the first signal goes low, there should be a controllable dead time.
I am able to do requirement 1, but I am unable to fulfill requirement 2.
Please have a look at my VI and let me know how to go about satisfying requirement 2.

I have already taken note of the example Tannerite has provided and have built my vi ( attached in previous post) surrounding that example.
Now I require to control the PWM duty cycle as you can see from the vi using a knob and that control refers to both the signal 1 and 2.
Now the signal 1 end and signal 2 generation requires a controllable dead time. Similarly, signal 2 end and signal 1 geneeration also requires another controllable dead time.
I am able to do either one dead time at a time using delay but not two dead time simultaneously.
I feel that I have two put the delays at the appropriate data flow point. I am working on that.
I would really appreciate if you could give some insight on how to solve this dead time issue and generate two complementary waveform with dead times whose duty cycle can be controlled by a knob controller in fronty panel .
I have also posted the required timing diagram for reference as suggested by Tannerite.

Slideshow issues with variable time for each picture

I've migrated from AS1 to AS3, and boy, a lot has changed...
Anyhow, to learn and understand AS3, I'm modifying a slideshow I found through thetechlabs. I want it to play SWF as well as JPG. These files are passed through an XML file. I added an element called <delaytime> to the XML file that replaces the standard time a photo is shown in the slideshow.
I modified the onSlideFadeIn() function as follows:

I'm lost here, what am I missing?

I know that F10, F11, F12 toggle between the custom views, but is there a shortcut or a way to create the shortcut for switching between the different orthogonal views? What's the easiest way to switch between top and left views?

Timestamp/time elapsed for digital pulses

I am using a PCI-6132 to time digital signals. Ideally, I would like to use the NI-DAQmx C++ API to get a timestamp from the 6132 for each edge (essentially, input capture). I'm pretty sure there is a way to configure a task to do this, but I'm not quite sure how. Most of the tasks seem to measure relative times (ie, the time between two pulses, high time, etc). If someone could point me to the functions/configurations that I should look at, I'd be very grateful.

I found a few examples which might help you along. Both can be found by navigating to the text-based examples provided in your DAQmx installation.
Start>>All Programs>>National Instruments>>NI DAQ>>Text-Based Code Support>>ANSI C Examples
In the folder, navigate to Events>>Signal>>Change Detection>>Read Dig Chan-Change Detection Event.c This program shows you how to create a DAQmx task which reads change detection events. During the callback phase, you can insert the code to get a timestamp.
The other example, starting with "ANSI C Examples", is located in Counter>>Measure GPS Timestamp>>GPS Timestamp.c
These two examples should give you enough to work with to create a task which outputs a timestep at each rising edge when reading channels on the PCI-6132. Please let me know if you are having trouble finding these examples, I'll be happy to attach to another reply.

How to create a c++ shared library (.so) for linux real time (for myRio) with Eclipse to use in LabView?

I tried already these Tutorials and Advices but I didn't find a solution:

I want use c++ codes on linux real time. For testing reasons I want to have a function that adds 2 values and gives the result.
I've done these steps:
1. writing a c++ file in Eclipse (see screensot 2)
2. building a shared library (.so) from my c++ project in Eclipse (with Cross GCC)
3. putting this file on myRio (path: /usr/local/lib/)
4. creating a VI that calls this library from Labview with a "Call Library Function Node" (see screenshot3)
5. Setting the properties for the "Call Library Function Node" (see screenshots 4-7)
After I run this VI i get this error message: LabVIEW: (Hex 0x627) The function name for the ... node cannot be found in the library. To correct this error, right-click the Call Library Function Node and select Configure from the shortcut menu. Then choose the correct function name. (see screenshot1)
I've tried a lot things to solve this problem but I couldn't find a solution. Would be very happy if anyone can help me. I guess that I have to edit my c++ code to export my function (symbol). But I have no idea how to make it. I also tried it with a dll file in the same folder but it didn't help.
Perhaps someone can send an example which works on myRIO.

can see it in the screenshot8 there is a function called "_Z8AddierenddPd" instead of "Addieren". I copied this name to Labview (see screenshot9) and it worked.
I'm sure that there is a way to compile the shared folder with gcc without decorations (mangling). But I don't know how. If someone has a recommendation I would be very glad!
Prepend each function declaration that you want to be available without name decoration with
extern "C" <your function declaration>
Or if you have multiple functions you want to export you can in the header file where you declare your functions simply use:

The other idea is not to commit each call, but executing commit of packages e.g. after 1000 BAPI calls.
But otherwise, I am afraid you can not do a lot about performance of standard BAPI. Maybe there is some customer enhancement which is taking too long inside the BAPI, but this has to be analysed by you. To analyse performance, just execute your program via tr. SE30.

Hi Experts,
I am doing goods movement using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE in my custom code.
Then there is some functional configuration such that, material documents and TR and TO are getting created.
Now I need to get TO and TR numbers from LTAK table passing material documnt number and year, which I got from above used BAPI.
The problem I am facing is very strange.
Only for the 1st time, I am not finding TR and TO values in LTAK table. And subsequent runs I get entries in LTAK in there is a wait time of 5 seconds after bapi call.
I have found 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE' takes more time for creating material document with similar issue, but no solution or explanation.
Note 838036 says something similar, but it seems obsolete.
Kindly share your expertise and opinions.

It would be much better if you had separate drives for the pictures and Time Machine backups.....but, if you want to use the same drive for both purposes, temporarily move the folder with the pictures to another location for safe storage.
Run the Time Machine backup on the hard drive and verify that everything is working correctly. Time Machine will format the disk for you in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as part of the backup process.
Then move the folder with the pictures back to the hard drive with the Time Machine backups.
When you have tested to make sure that everything is working again, then and only then should you delete the folder with pictures from the temporary storage area.
Again....it would be much better to keep Time Machine backups on a drive just for that purpose, and other data on another drive for that purpose. This is clearly one of those times when the fact that you can do something does not mean to imply that you should do it.

Not able to post the Time for already created timecard

I have a question on OTL, already time is posted for a week say 29-MAY-2010 to 06-JUN-2010 (for 5 working days), now I need to post the time on saturday & sunday too.
I'm using all the mentioned API's given by the oracle. But while processing the API's, it is throwing an error saying 'Time is already posted for this period'.
Time is posted for the week (start date & end date) but not on saturday & sunday.
Can any one help me out of this issue.
Below is the list of API's I'm using.
1.hxc_timestore_deposit.create_timecard_bb - To create the timecard for the period (in this case it is week)
2.hxc_timestore_deposit.create_day_bb - To create the day wise records for the above timecard id.
3.hxc_timestore_deposit.create_detail_bb - To create the detail hours for the above day wise records.
4.hxc_timestore_deposit.execute_deposit_process - To submit the timecard for the approval.

Go to Settings>General>Passcode Lock>tap Turn Passcode Lock Off, enter your "pin".
Edit: Are you saying you are getting a prompt for your email pin, or are you talking about the passcode lock that appears when you turn the phone on?

I want to send command to all the PXI system with using single variable from GUI PC(Like Start Data acquisition, Stop data Acquisition) and I also want data from each PXI system to GUI PC display purpose. Can anybody suggest me best performance system configuration. Where to create variable?(Host PC or at individual PXI system).

I want to control real-time application from host(Command from GUI PC to PXI).Host PC should have access to all 16 sets PXI's variable. During communication failure with PXI, Host will stop data display for particular station.
