Creating documents in shared folder of SAP mail

Hi all,
I would like to create documents in a shared folder of my sap mail. I know it can be done by method create of object SOFM. I just don't know how to set up this method. What parameters are needed and how to do it correctly.
Thx for helping,
Yoolb

Hi Yoolb,
Are you trynig to do this within a Workflow? If your need is to create the document from a custom program, you can use the function module SO_DOCUMENT_INSERT_API1.

    Hi,
    Once you delete the session in SM35, it is not possibel to restore it back.
    Check if you have also deleted the logs? Logs can exists after deleting the Session, provide you have not deleted the logs too.
    It is not possible to create one more session using AFAB.
    still if you want to do it, then in the selection screen at least change one of the parameter (Company code, Fiscal year, Posting period).
    IF you still do not want to change the above input parameters, then there is another option, i.e. create a new assest and then run the AFAB with the radio button in REPEAT RUN.
    Hope this is clear

  • Creating file in shared folder

    I need to access a folder on a network ( say \\server1\test ). test folder is shared on \\server1 with permission only to user 'A'. Now a java program ( Simple code snippet given below ) running will not be able to access the given folder due to access restriction. How can I make this code access the given folder and create a file xyz.txt in it.
    Code snippet :
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.IOException;
    public class test
    public static void main(String[] args)
    File file = new File(\\\\server1\\test\\xyz.txt );
    try
    file.createNewFile();
    catch (IOException e)
    // TODO Auto-generated catch block
    e.printStackTrace();
    }

    make sure that you have read and write permissions on that shared resource. i mean full access on that shared folder. with out full access you can't create/delete anything there. with read only access, you can read the content of the folder as well as that file only.

    my clients are xp and seven.
    after 1 week some junk files apeared in my folder.
    I deleted them but another files apear after some days.
    files name like :
    2fv34
    df542

    Hi Reza,
    Sorry for my delay.
    Based on your description, I understand that some odd files are created automatically in the shared folder.
    If anything I misunderstand, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
    Please run anti-virus software to scan the Windows Server 2012 R2 firstly.
    Please let me know the type of those odd files. Or provide a screenshot of this file (please hide all protected
    and private information). Meanwhile, please right click that file and select Properties. Navigate to General tab, Security tab and check if find some exceptions.
    In addition, please open Control Panel on the server, select Folder Options, select View tab. There will be
    two options under Hidden files and folders: Don’t show hidden files, folders, or drives and
    Show hidden files, folders and drives. Please check if there has differences in those odd files when you check each option.
    If any update, please feel free to let me know.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can i share existing albums of photos from my photo library with friends straight to icloud rather than having to create a new shared folder and then select the individual photos rather than a whole album??

    Ok to clarify -
    1. i want to go into my photos on my iphone 6.
    2. create a new folder in shared folders.
    3. Add an entire album of photos from my photo library rather than having to select individual photos.
    4. Share with friends.
    Surely the reason i have saved certain photos into albums already from my mac means i like the selection already. So i would like to just share the whole album rather than having to select all the individual photos from the album. Ive tried but maybe im being a doofus and missing something??????
    Any help would be most appreciated.
    thank you in advance
    Kris

    This is normal and is how Apple handles photos.
    There are NOT duplicate photos.
    Just as a song is in your itunes library and you can access that exact same song from a playlist,  all  photos synced to iphone are in the photo library and those exact same photos (NOT duplicates) can be accessed from the individual albums.
    It is working exactly as it should.

  • I created a new smart folder within my mail box.

    Now, how do I move messages from the in box to this new folder?

    When you created the "Smart Folder" you must have put in some kind of search criteria, like the sender is part of a particular group in your addressbook, or the subject of an email contains a certain word.
    Name the Smart Folder for it's purpose and let it do it's job of finding incoming emails with the proper conditions.

  • Unable to create shared folder when creating distribution list

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a new Distribution List in ECC  using T-code SO23.
    The system is not allowing me to create a new Shared Folder (step in creating the DL).
    Instead, I get a message saying 'Folder does not exist' (message code :SO 005)
    I do not have this issue in either the  000 client or in the quality system. I check the authorization objects and general SAP Ofiice settings. Everything looks identical between the systems.
    I would appreciate if any of you have any suggestions/advice?
    Thanks you

    Hello,
    The following errors occurrd on our D* & Q* system, and SAP recommended that I run program RSSOPRRP (Check and repair the SAPoffice profile SOPR.).  It resolved our issue.
      Errors:
      WK308 - Folder Shared folders is no longer available
      SO005 - Folder does not exist
    You might give it at try.  If you still have an issue, open a OSS message.

  • How do I allow users to create folders in a shared folder where we all then have read/write access to those new folders?

    I have three users who need to access a particular folder on one of our other Macs. The folder resides on the desktop of that particular Mac and it is set as "shared" with all of our accounts set to access the folder. When a user creates a new subfolder in that shared folder, the permissions are instantly set to allow the creator read/write access but the other users are only allowed read-only access. Is there a way to set the permissions so that any new folder created in that shared folder automatically gives read/write access to all accounts who are authorized access to that shared folder?

    You should be able to take the permissions you have set and "apply to enclosed items." I am trying to attach a picture of what this looks like so my apologies if it does not work.
    Highlight your folder you want and go to File>Get Info or command+I and at the bottom where it has Sharing and Permissions, click the lock button to authenticate. Click the gear and click "apply to enclosed items". See if that works.

  • Permissions Issue with the "Shared" Folder

    Hello,
    I’ve been encountering what appears to be an odd bug concerning permissions, notably during the use of the “Shared” folder (/Users/Shared). And I’ve looked around to find solutions, but haven’t come across a similar problem. Hence the post.
    Here’s how it works—or, rather, how it doesn’t work. Two people are using one computer (a MacBook Pro running 10.6.3) and would like to share documents, being able to read and write to them.
    From what I can understand, any document created in a folder should take on that folder’s access privileges. Since the permissions for the “Shared” folder indicate “Read and Write” privileges for all three groups (Me, staff, everyone), then any document created therein should, in principle, allow members of all three groups to read and write to it.
    Well, to cut a long story short, it doesn’t. Whenever a document is created in the “Shared” folder (with Pages or TextEdit, for example), the “Get Info” window shows that only the user who created it has “Read and Write” privileges. Members of the other two groups only have “Read” privileges.
    I ran the “ls –l” command in Terminal on the “Shared” folder, and here is an example of the output for one of the files:
    –rw–r– –r– –@ 1 username staff 342 31 Jan 17:08 Test.rtf
    As far as I can understand, this shouldn’t be happening. I’ve tried logging out and logging back in, rebooting, and repairing permissions from the original installation disk (no problems detected), but nothing changes and I still encounter the same scenario.
    Has anyone run across this issue before? And would anyone know what might be wrong, or even how to fix it?
    Thanks to anyone who might be able to shed some light on this detail to help me understand what is going on here.
    Best regards,
    Stephen

    I suppose you are working on the Mac?
    Which version of the OS?
    Go to the finder, hold down the ALT key and call G, there select the User Library (the one without a shortcut, this entry is without the ALT key not visible).
    Check the permissions of the preferences folder. Select the folder CMD+I
    You must have permission to read and write.

  • Error when after creating My Documents and shared repositories

    Hi all,
    after setting up a fresh SAP Mobile Documents installation on NW 7.4 and creating the My Documents and shared repositories we see the message "repository not available" when logging in to the MCM User web interface. The NWA log shows the following errors:
    Connection failed: Cannot access http://localhost:50000/cmis/json: Connection refused: connect
    org.apache.chemistry.opencmis.commons.exceptions.CmisConnectionException: Cannot access http://localhost:50000/cmis/json: Connection refused: connect
    Creating sharing home folder for user svcmcm failed: org.apache.chemistry.opencmis.commons.exceptions.CmisRuntimeException: org.apache.chemistry.opencmis.commons.exceptions.CmisConnectionException: Cannot access http://localhost:50000/cmis/json: Connection refused: connect
    Testing the connection to http://localhost:50000/cmis/json in the destination sometimes yields a negative initial result, followed by consistently positive results.
    Do you have any ideas or suggestions?
    Regards
    Daniel

    Hi Alex,
    thanks a lot; we are now able to connect and access Windows network shares after assigning the Content Admin Role to the MCM Users Group. We now however have the issue that our AD users can access all of the share's folders that the service user (assigned to the file system repository) has rights to. How can we enforce the individual user rights from the AD?
    Regards
    Daniel
    P.S.: We are trying to use assertion tickets in this approach.
    P.P.S.: We followed the preparatory steps under Integrating Documents from a Windows System into KM - Knowledge Management - SAP Library

  • How to create shared folder between mac and windows

    how to create shared folder between mac and windows

    Us ean external drive formatted FAT32 or ExFat. Both OSx and Windows can read/write to the drive and both can use the same data files as long as you have a program that can open and save these files. For example, Word running both on OSx and on Windows will be able to work with the same document on the external drive.

  • Folder redirection configured in GPO does not create Documents folder and does not redirect

    Hi
    Another Folder Redirect-post - sorry for that, but I could not find an answer for my problem so far: even with consulting many threads here...
    We have an existing environment under Windows XP and want to move away from that. Now I ran into troubles with folder redirection...
    The following folder- and permission structure exists so far:
    \\<server>\<Users$-share>: This is the base folder for all users-directories
    -> Permissions: SYSTEM: Full / Administrators: Full / Users: Read&Execute, only this folder
    -> Share-permissions: Authenticated users: Full control
    \\<server>\<Users$-share>\<username>: base folder for the specific user
    -> Permissions: SYSTEM: Full / Administrators: Full / User: Change, all permissions inherited onwards
    -> Giving only change permission prevent further problems with self-called "advanced users"... ;-)
    \\<server>\<Users$-share>\<username>\profil.V2: Profile directory of the user
    -> Of course here the permissions are set by the system: override the predefined permission
    \\<server>\<Users$-share>\<username>\daten: Atcual Home directory of the user
    \\<server>\<Users$-share>\<username>\daten\Documents: Suposed Documents directory of the user
    Now I am going to Server 2012 and Windows 8.1, configured the GPO to redirect Documents folder into the above mentioned:
    GPO - User configuration - Policies - Windows settings - Folder Redirection - Documents:
    Setting: Standart - redirects all folders to the same path
    Destination folder: Copy to base directory of the user
    I apply policy to the user, log out and in - it doesn't work, no folder Documents created in my home-folder, Folder Documents still configured at C:\Users\<user>\Documents
    A very special point:
    I also do Redirection of the My Pictures-folder: Define it to follow the Documents folder. Funnily that one works and creates and configures \\<server>\<Users$-share>\<username>\daten\Pictures
    -> So in my eyes, it should work!
    Then: I want to do the folder redirection without Offline Files, due to the fact, that our users work with dynamically assigned virtual desktops, which are been cleaned everytime a user logs off a machine. Therefore synchronizing doesn't make sense...
    I just cannot see, why this redirection does not work :-(
    Thank you very much for any help!
    Kind regards
    David

    Hi David,
    Before going further, would you please let me confirm the OS version of the Windows Server which you used to
    configure folder redirection? Based on your description, did you mean that those users (who will be applied folder redirection settings) logged on Windows XP client computer?
    When you configure the folder redirection setting in Document Properties (path:
    User Configuration-> Policies-> Windows Settings-> Folder Redirection-> Documents), please check if you checked “Also apply redirection policy to Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003 operating system” in Settings
    tab. As below picture shows.
    à
    GPO - User configuration - Policies - Windows settings - Folder Redirection - Documents:
    à•Setting: Standart
    - redirects all folders to the same path
    à•Destination
    folder: Copy to base directory of the user
    Would you please provide a screenshot of those settings you describe? Meanwhile, please summarily describe
    that how you configure. For example, where this GPO link to? Or any other. It will help me to understand clearly. Thanks for your understanding.
    In addition, please use
    gpresult command to check if the folder redirection group policy was really applied.
    If any update, please feel free to let me know.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Justin Gu

    Pls suggest us.

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that the same shared folder can be accessed by name, but can’t be accessed be IP address and asks for credentials.
    Please try to enable the option below on the device which has shared folder:
    Besides, check the Advanced Shring settings of shared folder and confrim that if there is any limitation settings.
    Best Regards,
