Creating Master Web Templatese embeding web templates etc

How do I create a Master web template such that if I make a change to this Master template, then all templates using this Master (say via embdedded web template web item) change automatically
Right now if I embed a web template (TEMPLATE-1)
in another web template (TEMPLATE-2),
and then make a change to TEMPLATE-1 (e.g., Add a new web item to TEMPLATE-1)
This change is NOT propagated to TEMPLATE-2
HOW do I make this happen.
Please advise. Thanks.

If you embed Template-1 in Template-2.
And you make a change to Template-1 - this change IS propagated to Template-2.
However, if you use a GROUP ITEM in Template-1, and make a change to this GROUP ITEM (add another web item for instance). This change is NOT propagated.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem.

  • Create forms with objects embedded (photos, docs, etc)

    Hi gurus,
    I am designing a solution for a client on EH&S, and I am searching for some ideas.
    The solution have 3 stages:
    1- Adding an User Exit at "Acc/Inc Log Entry" (Trx. CBIH82) to upload all the docs related to a specific Entry Log such as PDF, photos, documents, Medical documents, etc.
    2- Create a form for Log Entries that can have all the info of one entry, with all the extra docs uploaded at stage 1 attached, and that can be send by email to the persons responsables to take care of the entries.
    For example, I am thinking that implementing a new tab on the transaction to upload all the documents by type will be easy, but don't know where this files will be stored and how to obtain them.
    For the form, I think that I can use Smartformt, and then convert it to PDF, but don't know how to retrieve all the file uploaded at stage 1, and how can I attach them.
    If someone did some solution like this, no matter is no relative to EH&S will also be a great help.
    Thanks in advanced!

    See
    <http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2900>
    The problem is Parental Control's Internet content filter. It blocks all https requests:
    https note: For websites that use SSL encryption (the URL will usually begin with https), the Internet content filter is unable to examine the encrypted content of the page. For this reason, encrypted websites must be explicitly allowed using the Always Allow list. Encrypted websites that are not on the Always Allow list will be blocked by the automatic Internet content filter.
    You need to set it up explicitly to allow it, as described in the Apple KB doc I quoted.

  • Problem exporting to excel when using embedded web templates through WAD

    Using web templates designed with WAD, we are experiencing an issue when trying to export excel when using embedded web templates.
    We have set up tabstrips within our templates that load other templates (embedded into the global template).
    Upon right clicking on any query and choosing "Export to Excel", any query that is in one of the tabs using the embedded web template item does not show up.  Any queries in natively in the global web template will export and show up fine.
    Any thoughts on how to enable something like this, or workarounds to make this work?  We decided to split up these templates for performance reasons and can't go back from that decision.  Also let me know if you need a better explanation of what we're trying to do.
    Thanks in advance!
    Jonathan

    Hi SDBI,
    Is this in place of loading a new template per tab?  We are using container layouts in all of our templates so we can link things into tabstrips as well, we have just split up some templates to be embedded into tabs for performance reasons and data locking.
    Also when exporting, we are looking for all of the items displayed at that time to be exported, however only the items from the global template show up, not all of the displayed queries.  For example, anything outside of the tabstrip will export perfectly, but since the query embedded into the template the tabstrip is loading is not part of the native web template, it does not show up.
    Seems like a tool limitation to me when embedding templates?
    Thanks,
    Jon

  • Anyone has ideas how to create Google Calendar as an embedded web applet

    Hello...
    Anyone has ideas how to create Google Calendar as an embedded web applet in CRM On Demand? I would like to create an embedded web applet to show up the user's Google Calendar. I may have users Google credentials saved in its user record of CRMOD.

    This can be enabled with InBound SSO implementation where your CRMOD Credentials and Google Apps Credentials are mapped.
    if it would help consider reading something on OpenSSO on SAML for this requirement

  • Embedding web stuff in mail messages

    i know the new apple mail allows you to have css "stationary" messages, but is there a way to allow it to do html/css embed statements?
    for instance - let's say i want to send a friend a youTube video in the message. the quick and easy way is to do ⌘-i in the safari web browser on the page, and it creates mail message of the page with the youTube video embedded. however, a whole lot of needless stuff surrounds the video that was on the page also, that is hard with the formatting to go around and delete, column by column.
    youTube and other sites provide embed statements for html web pages and blogs (wordpress, etc.) to incorporate just the video player for that particulary video itself, like this —
    +<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lcB8CKa73B0&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lcB8CKa73B0&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>+
    or if i wanted to embed a google map, like this —
    +<iframe width="425" height="350" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;time=&amp;date= &amp;ttype=&amp;q=applecomputer,cupertino&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;cd=1&amp;ll=37.34198,-122.02652&amp;spn=0.008104,0.013 711&amp;t=h&amp;z=14&amp;iwloc=A&amp;om=1&amp;cid=37331739,-122030750,7542418564 039429605&amp;output=embed&amp;s=AARTsJoonZJzxRjVyYHZlcRNyyoN3Tsgig"></iframe>
    <small>View Larger Map</small>+
    so my question is - can this be embedded in a mail message? any help would be appreciated.

    didn't expect the question just to be outright ignored. just want to know if it is possible to put html/css embed tags in the new apple mail, and if so, how do you do it?
    Apparently no other user yet knows whether or how it can be done. If you can locate the source of the stationery templates used by Mail, you might be able to dump your code into them and then use the template for sending a message.
    Here is something on making customized stationery:

    i just want to know how can i fill these internal table in web dynpro
    for java to create an application accessing "Bapi_po_create" .
    Thanks

    Hi Gopal,
    I'm not sure what is your issue, it seems you're not really understanding how the Model structure works in WDP.
    I'll assume few things here, like you know how to Import the Model into the WDP, and you know a little bit about what Java Classes will represent this Model in the Project.
    Try these steps:
    1. Import your Model into the Project;
    2. Open your Component Modeler, create a Data Link between your Model / Component (Or Custom Controller, as you prefer)
      - You can also use the "Apply Template -> Service Controler"
    3. Map the Input of your Model as the Main Node, check the Input Tables (you prob. will have two, POITEM = ITEM - POITEMX = ITEMX)
    4. Also, check the Return box, since this is BAPI return (You can use to display Backend messages)
    Now you have the Model mapped into your Controller, you need to develop the Java function to execute it.
    1. Create a new Input class, like
    BAPI_PO_CREATE1_Input purchaseOrderCreateInput = new BAPI_PO_CREATE1_Input();
    2. Bind your Input Node, in the Controller, with your Input Class;
    wdContext.nodeBAPI_PO_CREATE1().bind(purchaseOrderCreateInput);
    3. Set any Import parameters you need:
    purchaseOrderCreateInput.setEXPPURCHASEORDER(XXXX);
    4. To Add references to the Table, you will perform something like:
    First, you need to know what "Structure" you need to add (POItem Structure) - You have a Java class that represents that Structure..
    POITEM_Element poItemElement = new POITEM_Element();
    poItemElement.setPROPERTY();   /// Set your Properties
    purchaseOrderCreateInput.getPOITEM().add(poItemElement);
    5. Execute your Input,
    purchaseOrderCreateInput .execute();
    Hope it helps,
    Regards,
    Daniel

  • Using the Embedded Web Server To Connect A Wireless Printer To Your Network

    AKA:No Wireless Setup Wizard Button, which would be way easier.
    The Prelude
    Some entry level printers do not offer a 'Wireless Setup Wizard' button, or a menu option that is accessible from the front of the printer. Printers that do not offer this luxury option, can still be easily configured to communicate to your router if you have a Mac or Windows PC.
    You still may have an easy option to get your network settings configured in your printer, if your router supports WPS. I personally do not like to use WPS as it can bring its own frustrations. WPS is not within the scope of this document.
    This document is geared towards the last available option, and in my opinion the best option. It can however be the most involved option. I am referring to using the Embedded Web Server (EWS). Most modern network capable HP Printers have a setting page that can be accessed from a web browser. The process is rather simple, but many confusing hiccups can occur, and that is what I hope to prepare you for.  There will be variances for different printers. I am using my experience with consumer printers that have been around the last few years.
    First, do not get overexcited about this document: Accessing the HP Embedded Web Server. Don't get me wrong, it is a great document, it's just that the instructions, while accurate, will not work until your printer is configured to connect to your network first. We will revisit this later however.
    Seatbelts Please
    The first thing we need to do, is have the printer broadcast its own network, sometimes referred to as AdHoc, sometimes referred to as Auto Wireless Connect. To do this, you need to navigate the menu system of the printer, and find the option to reset the network settings, network defaults or something similar. If your printer has the Wireless Direct feature you won't need to reset the network settings, but this is a perfect time to make sure Wireless Direct is turned on. If you aren't using Wireless Direct, the timer starts. Generally speaking, for the next two hours, the printer will broadcast an 'HP Setup' network, or have some variation of the printers name listed in available wireless networks. Regardless you should have plenty of time, if you read it all first and then went throught the steps.
    *Preparation:
    Here is where you want to use your favorite device, one capable of seeing 2.4ghz networks. Android phone, Apple iPad, Chromebook, Windows or Mac Notebook that you decided not to install the printer software on. Any of these devices will work. Apple iOS devices required a bit of coddling, as Safari doesn't work well with the EWS Wireless Setup Wizard.
    Do you know your network SSID? What about the passphrase, passkey or whatever the security word is called?
    If you didn't set it up, and just started using it when the internet guy installed it, then there is probably a sticker on the router with that information. If you still can't find it, call your ISP, router manufacturer or favorite family member for help to find that information (If you use a family member, remember to buy them something nice on the next gift giving holiday in your region).
    *Apple iOS specific, device preparation:
    1. You will save yourself a lot of frustration by downloading the Chrome Browser for iOS now. Go ahead, I will wait...
    If you are installing Chrome for the first time, when it completes the install, open it, and get passed the greeting and tutorial before continuing.
    2. You need to forget your home network connection when you are done with step 1. Just hold down on your home network in the wireless networks list, and 'Forget' the connection (or find the arrow that leads to the same option). If you do not take this step, it will reconnect to the home network once you run the Wireless Setup Wizard, causing you to have to back track.
    3. Be aware, when you connect to your printer's network, that it may appear to not connect (ie. spinning wheel, no confirmation) to the printer. This is a known behavior. Just close the wireless settings, and proceed as normal.
    Begin The Journey
    Open up the wireless section of your device and look in the list of available networks and tell it to connect to the HP printer network. The SSID will usually start with HP, and may have the printer model or the word SETUP in the name. Once you are connected (see "Apple iOS specific, device preparation #3 if you are using iOS), it is time to open your browser, preferably the Chrome browser when at all possible. In the address bar type 192.168.223.1 and press go or hit enter. I use the colloquialism 'hit' when I just mean 'press' again, sorry for the redudancy.
    If all is well, you should see a web page that should refer to your printer. Now is the time to find the 'Wireless Setup Wizard' button. Most printers should have it here on the main page of the EWS. Just take your time, it may not be obvious at first. Once you press it, the setup process will begin. Follow the instructions. It should see a list of detected wireless networks, and you can select your home network. Then if it requires a password, it will prompt for you to enter it. At the end of the Wizard, it might say something about not being able to test it, or show a page cannot be displayed screen. This is OK. This means the printer is now talking to your router and not your device in your hand.
    Proof Of Concept
    You can now tell your device to scan and connect back to your normal home network. Once you connect, you can verify if you can see your printer. Keep in mind, with dual band routers, that the printers will typically only be visible on the 2.4GHZ network, so your device should also connect to that network as well for testing. Once connected, now we need to find out what IP Address the printer has. Remember the document I started with “Accessing the HP Embedded Web Server”. It now is relevant, and you can complete those instructions to make sure you can see your printer on the same network. If your device can enter the printers EWS with its new IP, then you have officially connected your printer to your network. Also your printers wireless light should be solid, indicating communication.
    If It Worked
    Now the fun begins. If you are setting up ePrint, and if there is no option to configure ePrint from the front panel, find the Web Services tab, and proceed with that process. If you are setting it up to a Chomebook, you still need to setup ePrint (if it is an ePrinter) before configuring Cloudprint... but that's another document.
    I hope I have not missed any small detail that pertains to your configuration that made this hard to follow. Any comments would be welcomed to improve this for future use.

    That printer also has a USB port why don't you connect it using that port?
    If you insist on using ethernet, Mac OS X can create two network connections at the same time. On the iMac you can configure one of the network connections to be wireless and the other to be wired using the ethernet port.
    Since you already have a wireless network configured and connecting to your AirPort Extreme for Internet access all you need to do is plug in an ethernet cable from your iMac directly to your printer and configure them to use self-assigned IP addresses. Self-assigned IP addresses take the form of 169.xxx.xxx.xxx and are used in this configuration to avoid any conflicts with your other network. You have to configure the iMac and the printer to each have a unique IP address in the self-assigned range, just make each of the last group of numbers in the IP address different, and then the iMac should be able to print to the printer.
    Note that when you configure the Imac and printer this way no other network devices will be able to print

  • How do I create a master page when using Project7 templates?

    Hi,
    I am using P7 templates to easily create a nice website. However, I would like to create for example the main menu only once and have it re-used on every page or at least every page I want to. I think this is a called a masterpage (?) where you can tag parts to be re-used on other pages.
    Can somebody please tell me where I can find support, examples, tutorials on this? Or can somebody tell me how to do this in a P7 template?
    Thanks in advance!!

    You want to save your project page as a DW Template from which your other site pages will be spawned.  Or, you want to use Server-Side Includes (SSIs).

  • Warning! Web Photo Gallerys Feedback Templates not emailing back all entered data? Only Some?

    PLEASE HELP ADOBE!! ...or someone?
    Using Photoshop CS3 on Imac Intel OSX 10.4.11 4GB RAM
    I have created web photo galleries using each of the three types of feedback templates available that come with photoshop. Each gallery contained about 50 to 100 photos.
    Once online, I can enter data for all images and hit save data each time.
    BUT! when I send email feedback only only about 15 responses in the image number list is recorded in the returned email?
    I have tried this for each Web Photo Gallery Feedback Template type and experienced the same result each time. I have tested this numerously on different servers and several months apart and all ways the same limited result.
    Has anyone else experienced this problem on the mac? ...or pc.
    Are other users out there experiencing fully working Web Photo Feedback Galleries of 50 - 100 images generated from photoshop CS3 without any problems. ie all data for every image is listed returned in the single email?
    OR IS IT JUST ME??????
    The feedback function of a web photo gallery is extremely helpful if only it actually worked?
    I hope someone out there can confirm with me if this does or does not work.
    I really hope I can get a response to this.
    IF NOT: Is there another photo gallery building software product that I can buy that will allow web users to email image data, that you can recommend.
    Thanks for your help in advance, if you can?
    Kind Regards
    Scott

    Thank you John
    I am surprised that such a premier product like Adobe Photoshop CS3 would have condoned and included the web photo gallery function if they thought it was rubbish.
    It is also a feature that has is clearly promoted by adobe.
    The ability for you to select a bunch of images via bridge and automatatically build a web photo galley with photoshop that allows clients to review and provide email feedback to the image creator is a fantastic feature.
    In every way the gallery works except that for some reason when browsing the link above Internet explorer on a PC will not launch your email client "outlook" if you enter and save more than 25 images worth of data. It seams to work in safari on a mac.
    I want to know if others have experienced the same issue with more than 50 images using the Horizontal feedback web photo template.
    This must be a minor bug in the gallery build that if rectified provides photoshop with an amazing feature that is greatly appreciated in the photographic business, not to mention others. Is simply worth fixing.
    Do you know where I could get this functionality elsewhere? I would greatly appreciate your recommendation?
    I am willing to purchase an alternative product that will do this if this problem can not be rectified as it is crucial to my work flow.
    Making my own is not an option, nor the best use of my business resources.
    Kind Regards

  • WEB application designer - Web items - How to create new

    Hi!
    Is there a way to create new web item in web application designer, and <b>NOT</b> a copy of existing with different parameters (Web items located under Standard tab).
    It would expand possibilities of web app. designer a lot!
    Another question is, how to use BSP elements in BEX WEB reports (templates). Is this possible or not?
    Thank you in advance!
    Egi

    Hi,
    in principal you can write new web items but this is not supported by SAP as this is a modification.
    You would inherit from a standard web item class (for example CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_VIEW) and maintain tables rsrrenderer rsrrendereratr rsrrenderert and optionally rsrrendererdep
    BSP itself can not be used, unless you include a BSP Application via Iframes in your Web template.

  • Question on create web project wizard - Web Application version

    Hello -
    On step two of the wizard it asks you for a web application version. Choices:
    Servlet 2.3\JSP 1.2 (J2EE 1.3)
    Servlet 2.4\JSP 2.0 (J2EE 1.4)
    Does the choice ONLY affect the choice of how the top of web.xml is generated?
    i.e.,
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'windows-1252'?>
    <web-app xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee/web-app_2_4.xsd" version="2.4" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/j2ee">
    ...vs
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'windows-1252'?>
    <!DOCTYPE web-app PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN" "http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd">
    <web-app>
    ...Are there any other places where this choice causes some settings to be set?
    (I ask because I am working with a workspace that was generated from the Create Application wizard. Choosing the "Web Application [JSF, ADF BC]" Application Template doesn't allow the user to choose the web app version...)
    Thanks,

    Hi Scott,
    No, this choice only impacts the version of the Web Deployment Descriptor (web.xml).
    When you create your workspace from the Create Application wizard by selecting the "Web Application [JSF, ADF BC]" template, we suppose that you work with a J2EE 1.4 application (the current version).
    If for some reasons, you have to work with a J2EE 1.3 version, f.ex. because you have to use JSTL 1.0 (see "JSTL 1.0 in JSP 2.0 Pages" in http://blogs.oracle.com/Didier/2006/03/20#a10), then you should create your Web Project and select "Servlet 2.3\JSP 1.2 (J2EE 1.3)".
    Later, you have the option to upgrade your Deployment Descriptor to Servlet 2.4\JSP 2.0 (option in the right-click menu on the web.xml).
    Regards,
    Didier

  • No result while creating a service consumer with Web Service Wizzard

    Hi,
    I've tried to create a service consumer with Web Service Wizzard in SE80 by using URL/HTTP Destination but nothing happens. After the popup with logondata for the WSDL I get the CRM start screen and nothing has been created in the given package.
    technical details:
    I use a CRM 5.0 system with SP15 (SAPKB70015).
    I created the provider service at a 7.10 system with SP5 (SAPKB71005) via SPROXY, SOAMANAGER and WSPUBLISH and get the WSDL-URL from Service Registry.
    The Service Registry of the 7.10 system serves as central Service Registry.
    Has anybody an idea ?
    Christoph

    Guy,
    Thanks for your reply.
    This problem has been solved. Since I haven't turned on everything that to use transaction SOAMANAGER needs. After complete the switch-on works, the problem never happens again.
    Thanks again.
