Creating multipel DB manually in linux

Hi,
I have a linux server and i already install Database called X,
now i want to install another 2 instance in the same server and using the same Database so at the end i will have 3 instance called X, X1, X2 on the same server and using the same oracle 10g DB, i know how to do that by using the Database configuration assistance but now i want to do that manually
i already prepare the script for each DB and i am confuse about the patch_profile and it configure that , i really appreciate if you have a documentation about how to do that

Set your Environemnt variables, especially the ORACLE_SID correctly and you should be good to go.
easiest way is to edit the oratab file to include the new instance names along with the ORACLE_HOME to which they belong to and use . oraenv to set the environment variables.
Edit ORATAB file for the following
X1:/u00/app/oracle/product/10.2/db_1:N
X2:/u00/app/oracle/product/10.2/db_1:N
X3:/u00/app/oracle/product/10.2/db_1:N
and for each database creation in turn, execute
. oraenv
and set the ORACLE_SID for every database that you are about to create.

Our company uses EBS 11.5.10.2. The company has a policy whereby any new manual journal needs to have the supporting documentation attached to it, using the attachment icon in the task bar.
Users sometimes forget to do this, though. This has now prompted management to request that we try and make this process of attaching a document when creating a new manual journal compulsary to the process.

Well, that depends on if you are using client/server or web. Currently there is a bug being investigated, which is preventing the cursor size from being altered. For client/server, do the following on the client machine (assuming Windows):
Control Panel > Accessibility Options > Display > Cursor Width
By increasing the width, the cursor will be more visible. The same is expected to work on the web, but currently is problematic and being investigated.

Oracle Coherence 3.7.1, It's always creating a new cluster in linux m/c.

I am facing an issue with Oracle Coherence 3.7.1 in linux m/c , where it’s always creating a new cluster, even if I start a new member provided with same cluster name as argument. -Dtangosol.coherence.cluster=name
It’s not joining the existing cluster , it’s always creating a new cluster with same name in Linux m/c.
But when I tried the same thing in windows m/c , it working fine , even If I start N number cache server’s it joining the same cluster as one more member.
Please someone help me, why it’s always creating a new cluster in linux m/c with same name ? why new VM’s are not joining the existing cluster? , Is there anything extra setup I need to do for Linux m/c.

If you want another T code only then you can try QA01A.
or you can create a Physical Sample with QPR1 and then click on the button there to create inspection lot. To create inspection lot for that Physical sample (you will able to see that button only after releasing the sample) Or you can use QPR5.
But let me know the reason why you want T code other than QA01.

Check this :
Create a workbench transport request in se09 and double click on it, system opens request/task screen , go to objects tab add program id as 'R3TR' object type as 'TABU' object name as table name (ex: ZTABLE) and click on the function button , put '*' in table keys and save the request.
now transport this request , table entries will be transported to respective systems .

How to create web service manually in APEX?

When I try to create a web service from wsdl, I get error: "The WSDL document could not be understood by the rendering engine".
I have found no APEX documentation about how to fill data when creating web service manually. I have wsdl file (have put wsdl url into browser and got contents), but don't know what to do with this beast.
Anyone knows what to do?

Proxy class is out of date now... proxy class only support stateful web service call... and stateful web service may became a big limitation in development.
Try to thinking about how to use stateless web service call, you may get an alternative solution.

Really its very hard and time consuming task to learn oracle right? Can'nt they give you a direct copy paste steps, so that you may learn create database without going into docs?

Creating new session manually

This is the scenario:
I'm using ie6. If I open a new window by clicking File-->New-->Window, it will open a new window with the same session as the opener window.
Now in my new window, I go to my login page, and in my login code, I set some value to the session, which will overwrite the value of the session in both window.
But what I actually intend to do is when the new window do the login, I want it to have a new session, so it won't overwrite the session in the first window.
I'm sorry if my explanation is a bit confusing. In short, what I want to do is create new session manually using java code. Is that possible?

No it is not possible.
The server can only issue a new session if it can distinguish between browser windows.
The internet browser treats the windows as being the same session, and that's what it tells the server.
If you start a new instance of IE using the shortcut from the desktop, that creates a seperate session, but any 'child' windows opened by javascript, or by file:new window are part of the same process.

that you do not modify the orchestration that the wizard creates. Instead, you can add new orchestrations in the BizTalk project for your purposes.

In your solution, if you are seperating your schemas project from orchestration project, in that case i personally advise to generate wcf endpoint in your schema project and after adding schema reference in orchestration
project you manually create the multipart message and a request response port as it will not display in existing port.

10   Delivery to customer with sales order
11   Delivery to customer without sales order
12   General delivery
13   Repetitive manufacturing
14   Plant maintenance
When you create an inspection lot manually, you cannot reference an original document (for
example, a goods receipt document, an order, or a delivery note)

i am using express edition 11g express r2
i wanted to export and import a schema

Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA), it is not necessary to run these scripts.
in my case i install the free express edition, and it installed every thing.
so how can i verify that catexp.sql or catalog.sql are required or not.

Out of curiosity Just went through the script in question
Many objects are created when you run catexp.sql, so you can open catexp.sql(<oracle_home>\server\rdbms\admin) file and verify the objects in the scripts are already available in your database if its available the script has already been run.
You can find an insert statement at the end of the above script with "EXPORT_VIEW_VERSION', Querying the database_property table gives you EXPORT_VIEW_VERSION

How to create multipart message manually in wcf consumptions

My purpose is to consume simple wcf service through biztalk and I am also able to do this for doing this i have following steps
step 1) add -->generated itmes -->consume wcf service
through this wizard i got one .odx file two binding xml files and some schemas
step 2) in oxd file i created 3 messages
1-msgIn which is a simple type of mesage which is accepting input from our request schema
2-msgWcfReq- by this message we are sending a request to wcf (but when we are selecting the messagetype for this message we are selecting it form "multipart message type node" inside this node there are some automatically generated schemas when
we used wcf wizard)
3-similarly for response message also we are selecting messagetype from "multipart message type node".
and rest of the mapping we are doing and we deployed the solution and we importing the binding file which was genrated by wcf wizrad.
so it automatically fill everything for WCF port like pipeline/wcf url/soap action header
Now My question is if i am deleteing the automatically generated odx file then we don't have those aotogenrated port and schemas which are comming under "multipart message type node"
so now how we can achieve the same thing means now i am trying to create same 3 type of message which i discussed above,because if i am trying to create multipart message manually then we don't have any schema type of things inside "multipart message
type node".
if this problem is resolved the everything will work for me because in administration console still i want the same "bindinginformation.xml " file for wcf port bindings.

I just have created two raw devices,
1, /etc/sysconfig/rawdevices
/dev/raw/raw1 /dev/hda2
/dev/raw/raw2 /dev/hda3
2, chown oracle:dba /dev/raw/rawN and chmod 660 /dev/raw/rawN
3, after restart the machine, start I runInstaller again.
But Oracle can still not find the candidate disks, even after give the path /dev/raw
Why?
