Identifying the Inspection lot created automatically and manually

Dear all,
An Inspection lot can be created automatically or manually. Can anyone please tell how the Inpection lot can be identified as manual created or automatically created one? Please advice, thanks.

Hi,
You can create inspection lots manually for all inspection lot origins except
the following
10   Delivery to customer with sales order
11   Delivery to customer without sales order
12   General delivery
13   Repetitive manufacturing
14   Plant maintenance
When you create an inspection lot manually, you cannot reference an original document (for
example, a goods receipt document, an order, or a delivery note)

Scenario: We have a Proto type plant in which Daily 15 to 20 materials are created every day. We have only one inspection plan for all the materials.
Problem: We don't want to do material assignment in the Inspection Plant header every time a new material is created
Requirement: Is there any way to default the inspection plan for all the inspection lots created in the Plant by Standard Configuration or User Exit.

Hi,
In our case Creation of Inspection lots are controlled by QM View of Material Master. Our problem is to find alternative for assignment of New Materials in the Plan header in Tcode QP02, as we have only ONE INSPECTION PLAN. So our expection is all QM Inspection Lot created in the Plant should always get assigned to the SINGLE INSPECTION PLAN, with out doing any assignment of material in the Plan.

Assign the inspection lot to notification

Dear Babu,
If you assign specific notification type in notification configurations, then while doing RR if the defect is located the system will automatically prompt you for Notification.
If you find the defect later on production line then against the inspection lot you can raise manual notification referring that LOT.

Inspection Lot status: CRTD CHCR SPRQ,
in Business Process of inspection lot showing:
*Cancel inspection lot
Assign RMA proc. to insp. lot
Assign notification to lot RMA
Batch log indicator required
Certificate missing
Change inspection lot
Change planned lot quantity
Choose task list for insp. lot
Confirm Receipt of Certificate
Create part. lot for insp. lot
Flag cancellation
Inventory posting required
Lock
Lot for process documentation
Lot reset allowed
What is going wrong?
BTW, the sampling procedure in Inspection Plan is a read-only field, but empty inside.

Dear in your case there is no Inspection plan was attached to the lot so attach the plan and make lot status to REL then only you can do Results Recording.
Inspection plan gets auto assigned to availble inspection plan on respective date if you enabled the inspction with tasklist and automatic assignment boxes in relevant inspection types in MM QM view for this Inspction plant should be made avaialble in stsyem before any lot created which can be created QP01.
If it is not getting assiged automatically then you can assign it manually by QA02 here go to inspection specification tab click on Task list assignment the go to sample tab and click on sample and SAVE Inspection plan will be attached to inspection plan.
Once inspection plan is the lot status you can see REL before assignment of a plant it would be CRTD.

Batch not created for the Inspection lot?

Hi Experts,
I have created a the production order by inputting the Batch in the GR tab and released the production order. The release of Production order will create a Type 03 lot , but surprisingly it doesn't show the Batch in the Batch field when i look the inspection lot that was created by release of production order, instead it shows blank. I have checked the material master and it is batch managed material. Please let me know where I'm going wrong.
Configuration- Batch is unique at material level indicator checked
my plant has Batch status management indicator
Please find the screenshot below for type 03 lot and also the Batch management indicator in material master in sales/general view, work scheduling and warehouse1.

Hi Pavan,
According to SAP Note 50618, you may consider to implement the correction on that note or use partial lot assignment.
For partial lot assignment, you can find the setting in Routing header and customizing in SPRO with path: Quality Management - Quality Planning - Inspection Planning - General - Define Identifier for Inspection Points.

In standard the creation status wont allow to post the material ,another way is change the system status CRTD in BS22 and allow inventory posting( i haven't checked)

E.g.: If i am receiving material from vendor then my requirement is system will generate batch automatically...

You assign the batch number either
Manually
Automatically, using internal batch number assignment, refer to Customizing for Batch Management under Internal batch number assignment.
Internal batch number assignment is activated for the complete client, unless you exempt individual plants or materials using a customer exit (see Configure customer exits for intern. batch number assignment in Customizing for Batch Management).
The R/3 System informs you that the internal batch number assignment is active. You are however only informed once per transaction, for example, when you enter the first item on the multiple-entry screen.

Automatic time is a function of your Wireless carrier. Your post indicates that your iPhone (5 or 5c) is running iOS 7.0.6. The current version is 7.1.1. You might try updating your device to the current iOS version.

Inspection lot should automatically be updated

How Inspection lot should automatically be updated with the correct inspection plan and sample size upon GR ? is there any exit avialable?
As per my requirement the revision level should not be taken into account when selecting the
inspection plan. The start date of the inspection should basically be
used as a key date(i:e; current date) .how to implement this logic ?
i have found one exit for this QPAP0002.can anyone explain detail how to implement logic to my requirement?

check teh material master QM view there shoul be inspection with task list and automatic assignment shoul be there
1.create inspection plan(QP01) with mIC (QS21) assign for opeartion.
2.mantion usage in plan header as 5 goods recipt.
then when ever you get inspection lot for the materil the lot will release,
3.now your lot is in CRTD status do goto QA32 slect the lot click on change inspection lot or goto QA02.
clcik on tasklist specifications and clcik on button task/specification and move to clcik on sample tab then clcik on sample and save teh lot the staus will change from CRTD to REL.
if the plan plan is created after generating date of lot then you face problem of key date.
ok still if you are not getting then use your exit. there should be logic of picking the key date and pass it into start date get these datails fromQALS table

No inspection lot created for new inspection type created

Hi all,
We create a new inspection type which is based on a copy-version of an existing inspection type. These inspection type has a inspection type origin of standard SAP 04 (i.e. Goods Receipt from Production).
Question 1 - we bumped into problem when come to testing in which when perform goods receipt, there is no inspection lot created, may I know why?
The following fields of this new inspection type are all checked; those not specified, are not flagged.
1 - Insp with task list (flagged); Automatic Assginment (flagged); Check Chars (flagged); Skip Allow(flagged); Automatic UD(flagged); Serial Number Poss (flagged).
Question 2 - for this kind of inspection type with origin 04, do i need to perform a goods receipt against a production order or purchasing order? How do I perform a GR against a production order?

Hi Tuffy,
Possibly you might not have ticked on preferred inspection type in material master. This could be one of the reasons. Try to do GR after ticking this.
The setting you have mentioned (flagged parameters)are seems to be correct. But lot generation is governed by preferred inspection type.
If you have assigned this newly customized inspection type to lot origin 04, then it would be used against production order and not the purchase order.
There are several ways to carry out GR against production order. It depends on the scenarios which you follow
1.     MB31 101 movement
2.     You may use backflush so while confirming order through CO11N auto GR is posted
3.     In case of repetitive manufacturing scenario generally GR is done by MFBF transaction

Change "Vendor batch" data in the inspection lot

Hi gurus,
I have created an inspection lot. It is created in automatic once the GR is made.
But, I have introduce the wrong "Vendor batch" and the inspection lot has the incorrect data there.
How I can change the "Vendor batch" data in the inspection lot?
This field is showed as greyed in the transaction QA02.

Hi Sandra,
Iam not sure about the option to change the Vendor Batch but i can Suggest the other option. i.e Cancellation of GR and creating the new one.
1. First remove the 01 inspection type in Quality Management tab in Material master,
2. Go to goods receipt in MIGo and put 102 movement type and do the reversal.
Now the stock is in the order level. and you can do the GR again.
Activate the QM tab before doing the 2nd GR.
revert back for clarifications if any.

Transaction to close the inspection lot in mass.

Hello,
Due to settings in the material's QM view , inspection lot with origin 89 were created for all the process orders , we don't use these inspection lot for recording any results , now we are not able to close the process order because the inspection lot related to the order are not closed yet.
Can you please let me know transaction to close all the inspection lots collectively so that i can proceed to close the orders.

Are you sure the lots are inspection origin 89 and that those are preventing the closing of the orders? 89's should be manual inspection lots and should not have been caused by any settings in the material master but would have had to be caused by someone creating them. There is no reference to an order number in an 89 lot so I'm not sure how they could be blocking an order. Now.. If you created these as the result of a custom development that might be different. But they still shouldn't be able to block the closing of an order, unless of course you have some other development or user exit being used to check on the lot.
That said, unless you record results in the 89 lots you can't mass process them close. You have to do them one by one.
I would also suggest you look for inspection lots with an 03 origin as these CAN influence the orders. But again, they usually don't prevent you from marking the order technically complete. If you mark the orders technically complete, you can then use QA40 to close the 03 lots where the orders are TECO status.

Inspection Characteristic is not being displayed in the inspection lot

I have created a Calibration order by first creating method, then a MIC, same is attached to a task list and then a Plan.
But when i trigger a order for that task list the inspection characteristics as mentioned in the task list does not appear in the order.
Please let me know how to get the inspection characteristics in the order.
I have checked the task list, in that the Inspection characteristics is visible.

I have noted one thing, in inspection lot the sample size is shown as zero for the equipment where the inspection characteristic is not being displayed and it is shown as one for the lot where the inspection characteristic is displayed.
Both the Inspection lot the task list is same

How to change the Status CRTD of the Inspection Lot?

Dear all.
I want to Complete an Inspection Lot 10000000005 In the T-CODE qvm2.When I select the Inspection Lot 10000000005 and press F8 to Complete the Inspection,the SAP show an error message "Status check error".
And the detail info show that the error was cause by the Status CRTD of the Inspection Lot.I check the Status of the Inspection Lot 10000000005 and found that it's Status was CRTD CHCR SPRQ.My question was how to change the Status CRTD of the Inspection Lot?

CRTD means ...
In material master QM vew-inspection setup->Inspect with task list tick is there.
Now to change status,
Go to Qp01>create a task list for material(If not exists)>remember date of creation of task list must be prior to date to creation of inspec lot
If task list is created/exists>go to QA02.<inspection specification -->click on Inspec Spec
and attach task list
go to sample tab....click on sample.
Now save it.
Status will change to REL

CALIBRATION WITH OUT GENERATING THE INSPECTION LOT

Dear Friends,
I am clear with the regular process of calibration where the inspection lot is generated for equipment and result recording is done and ud is given.
But my client doesn't want to any of result recording. He want to just maintain the equipment schedule then send equipment to outside agency as per schedule for calibration. And when equipment is received back in he want to maintain the history and the next date should be triggered.
I have already done following :
IE01 >>> QDV1 >>> IP41 >>> IP10 >>> IP30 >>> IP24 >>>
now if i check in IW32 the purchase requisition is not generated automatically, pl help me in this regards,

if you don't want inspection lot for the order then you need to maintain blank for the inspection point in the task list then you don't get the task list.
and if you want to generatethe external service PR through the operation then selct the control key PM03(service control key)
then system ask you enter the vendor deatils and costelement purchase group etc.
