Creating new window on another window

Hi Friends ,
I am designing a form for payroll . I defined all the boxes in one window and the respective headings . Now I need to pass data for earning and deductions to the respective columns . I have 5 columns for earnings and 3 columns for description .
I have create 2 new windows window 1 and and window2 over top of the box window . window1 will cover is also the main window and will contain data for all the earnings . window2 will cover the data for deduction and is a var window .
Rite now i am able to get data in the window1( MAIN ) window . No data seems to be showing up in the window2(VAR) window . Is my approach correct ? Please advise .

Hari,
the repeated items can print only in main window. So u call 2 diff elements and call both into the main window. First element has Earnings and second for Deduction.
Now in form, u design like 1 window for earnings. 2nd is for deduction. In programe
write as below
            CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_FORM'
              EXPORTING
                element = 'EARN'
                function = 'APPEND'
                window   = 'MAIN'
              EXCEPTIONS
                OTHERS   = 7.
            CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_FORM'
              EXPORTING
                element = 'DEDUCT'
                function = 'APPEND'
                window   = 'MAIN'
              EXCEPTIONS
                OTHERS   = 7.

Hmmm, mine stack up over the pinned icon as you would expect (Win7Pro x64). Is there anything special about the way you're starting up Firefox? Security sandbox? Using any command-line switches?

why would you steal your music id password? ..nokia id / account is different from windows live id btw.
maybe you already have a windows live account, thats why its showing the that problem. check settings > email+accounts > you should ideally have only one(1) 'microsoft account' in there. if you want to use another one, you might want to just 'change' the existing one with your new credentials.

Hi,
To create a new window in scripts.
1. After opening the form in SE71   Click on Windows push button.
    it will gives a screen list of windows in a page
2. Click on Edit option in menu bar in Edit-->Create Element click it will gives a popup window in the window give Name of the window and short description press enter like that you can create windows in a page
3. Click on Page windows it will gives a screen where that window you want to place in that page.    Click on Edit option on menu bar Edit-->Create Element
it will gives a list of windows which your created in a page   here you have to select which window you want to place. Double click on that window it will adds on the page and give the bottom of the screen you can find standard attributes block
there you have to give the position of the window in a page.
or
Click on setting option on menu bar settings-->form painter
it will gives a GUI editor here you can drag the window position it is easy to use.
then you can see the layout.

I used database oracle10g, and I set (oradata) in partition (C) and i want to load large data on database but i haven't enough space in this partition .
Can I create new DataFile in another partition like partition (D) ???
And if yes, will it effect in the Performance the Database ???

Thank For ReplayDepends on a lot of things:
1- D and C are physically separated disks OR there are part of the same physical disk but logically separated ?
2- Where are located your system datafiles, controlfile, logfile, indexes?
3- Are you using ASM?
It depends a lot of your storage and database design.
I suggest you test and compare the performance using AWR reports and view Oracle statistics via the Windows Performance Monitor (perfmon)..

How to create more than one window for a vi that can be acces anytime...just like using the creating new window in internet explorer

hello guys,
I want to create a vi such dat when I press a button on the frontpanel of the vi it opens the same vi in another window..and I should be able to work on this new window also able to work on the previous window without closing it...Just like opening a new window when using the internet explorer....
I try to make my vi a reetrant vi but when I click the new window button on my vi..a new clone windows open up that I can control but the previous windows is not accessible not I close the current window...I want a way that I can acces both vi window and d operation of one will not affect the other like when the indicators are updating in one window the other window will not update...

The picture attached shows what i want to achieve as a vi or executable...The new window button opens a clone of the vi, but the previous window can not be operated on until i close the clone window...i want to be able to work on both window at any time without closing one of them....The vi was design in labview 2010

After upgrading from Mac 10.6 to 10.9, firefox creates new windows by an "expanding" animation instead of just appearing. How do I get the old behavior back?

On Mac 10.6.8, when I create a new window by hitting command-N or going to the file menu, or if another page creates a new window, the new window just appears instantaneously. However, after upgrading to Mac 10.9.2, new windows appear by an "expanding" animation, which takes slightly longer than the old "appearing" behavior. (Other apps on my Mac do not exhibit the "expanding" behavior, only firefox.)
Was this behavior intentional? How can I get the old behavior back?
I am using Firefox 28.0.

Go to the mac system preferences and click on Doc. There is a Minimize window using.... select the animation there.

In the last several versions of Firefox Pop-up Site that should be blocked are creating new windows. Why?

I have several computers. On each computer Firefox operates different. On the system I am writing these words. Every time I open a link Foxfire opens a new set of windows instead of a new tab. On my laptop Firefox opens a new tab when I want to open a new link. I think that this the way it should be. I have looked in the options to try and fix this but there is NO option to correct this. Both the computer are running the same version of Firefox. On the system I am writing this when new window pops up it creates two windows, one with a web page and one with tiles. I am running Windows 7 on all my systems not Windows 8. The laptop does not do this. If a unwanted page pops up; say a Web Cam site or Dating site that Pop-up Blocker use to block appears there is a race to close it because Firefox switches back to the page you were on before the new windows appeared. The Firefox on this system I am writing on also does not allow scrolling when something is being highlighted anymore.
I use Firefox because it allows me the configure it to use Applications on my computer to open, view, and save material from the Internet unlike the other browser that are available. Can someone fix these bugs?

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware.
Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is
there for. Also,
check the programs that are on your computer

Spaces: create new window makes same Space slide in

I"m just starting to try to use Spaces, after seeing the clear benefit to it.
I have Space 1 set up with a couple of finder windows to make moving things around easy and in Space 2, I also want Finder windows, but when I hit CMD-N to create one, I'm sent back to Space 1 and a new window is created there!
Also, if I create a new folder on the desktop in Space 2, then open it, I am also taken back to Space 1 where that folder opens.
this tells me that I'm not going to get what I need, or that I just don't yet fully understand Spaces.. can somebody shine a light on this for me?
is it that Finder is either assigned only to that first Space, or to All?
My goal is to have Spaces where both Applications and Finder windows reside.

I think you want the Finder assigned to all Spaces so new finder windows will open in the current Space you are in. To assign the Finder to all Spaces, it is not quite as straight forward as assigning other apps to all Spaces.
Do this to assign the Finder to all Spaces:
1. Go to the Spaces tab in System Preferences;
2. Click the plus ( + ) to add an app and select Other;
3. Navigate to the folder Macintosh HD» System» Library» Core Services» Finder.app
and click the Add button.
Back in the Spaces prefpane, select Every Space next to the Finder.app under the Space column.
If it doesn't work how you wanted, delete it from the Spaces assignment by clicking the minus ( - ) button.

In script PO headings is now displaying in main window and related items displayed in B2 window, but user wants to display it in B2 window with creation of new window. So I need to create one new window in the existing window B2, is it possible? If yes please furnish details. Any changes will require in print program? Expecting the suggestions ASAP. In the B2 window,
use the following code and make it a meaningful code as per ur requirement:
if u want to create a new window on different page, then use the
/: NEW-PAGE pageno
/: NEW-WINDOW newwindowname
Here use the code for heading etc.
I think no changes to the print program is required.

Cmd-N to create new window doesn't operate on frontmost app!?

Hi there
It's second nature for me to cmd-tab to another app, then hit cmd-N to open a new window in the frontmost app.
I notice however in 10.6 that cmd-N doesn't operate on the frontmost application, but rather on the app of a window that my mouse cursor is on.
So if Terminal is the active application with a window open, then I cmd-tab to Safari so that it is frontmost, but my mouse cursor is still over the Terminal window, cmd-N opens a new Terminal window.
Is this the expected behaviour? It feels very wrong.

I just noticed that this is only happening with Terminal - so another app is frontmost but the mouse cursor is over a Terminal window, cmd-N operates on Terminal, NOT the frontmost app.

I would need to display a url (as google.com) in a tabstrip of my application, not in a new window. I know that LinkToURL open a new window. Is that possible to force it in a frame or in a view?

Create new window instance

This may be a basic question, but I'm trying to figure out how to create a new instance of a window (and associated controller) from a NIB. The situation is thus: I have a window created in interface builder, which has a number of bindings to a controller class I wrote (obviously :P ). When I run the program it comes up and behaves properly. I now want to be able to create a second copy of this window, as well as a second copy of the controller, since each instance needs to be able to store its own values.
In theory, at least, I know how to instantiate a second controller class- just call alloc and init on a new pointer- but how do I instantiate a second copy of the window, and how do I make the bindings connect to the new instance of the controller? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Thanks!

Assuming I understand your requirement correctly, if the first window is defined in a separate nib owned by its controller, all you need to do is load that same nib again when initing the second controller. E.g.: the following should create two separate instances of the same controller class, each of which owns a separate instance of NSWindow, and each of which has the same set of bindings to other objects in the nib:

If the first window is the main window defined in MainMenu.xib, it might be easiest to move that window into the separate, common xib to make the above example code work (I.e. just delete the main window from MainMenu.xib). In that case, the awakeFromNib method of your app controller or app delegate would be a good place to load the main window as suggested in the example.

I have a quick question. When the Getting Started screen is loaded, and you click more in the new box. For some reason mine changed to the one I posted a picture about. Sometime after I was coding some projects in 6i and 7.1, this screen changed to this. I am merely wondering if anyone knows how to change it back?

I believe this VI is the same VI opened when you select File>>New.
If that's the case, it's found at <LabVIEW>\resource\plugins\lv_new.vi. You can try finding the original on your CD (possibly in a CAB file) and overwriting the existing one with the one from the CD.
