  • How to create package and import from jar file?

    Hi all,
    I am writing a software and I am not sure how to create a package for the classes.
    Say I have two classes in the same directory as follows:
    testA.java
    ==========
    package AB;
    public class testA
    public static void main(String[] args){
         testB myB = new testB();
         System.out.println("A test");
    testB.java
    ===========
    package AB;
    public class testB
    public testB(){
         System.out.println("B constructor");
    both file compile without the package heading;
    both file compile using: javac -classpath .\ *.java
    Question 1:
    I cannot run testA by: java -classpath .\ testA
    I think it is a syntax error. What is the correct one?
    If I run testA by: java testA
    The only output I get is: A test
    But I am expecting: B constructor /n A test
    What went wrong?
    Question 2:
    I need to use APIs of another software. I have downloaded a .jar file (xxx.jar) with all the classes in it. And I have put "import xxx.*;" in my source file. But the compiler complains about the importing. What is the right way to copmile it?
    I have read a couple of tutorials but they don't answer my question.
    (I am using windows2000 and don't have the classpath variable.)
    Hope some one can help.
    Thanks a lot

    Try moving testA out of the package and importing 'AB.*;'
    If you have:
    ./testA.class
    ./AB/testb.class
    Then to execute testA from ./ type: java -cp . testA

    Hi Experts,
    I am working on a stand alone application and using NWDS for the same. This application consist of some Webdynpro Java apps, Dictionary perspective DC's and BPM applications.
    I need to create a package and name space for all the applications. I have read some documents on creating SC in SLD and using it in NWDI. But since I am working on NWDS i am not able to see the SC.
    May be I am not following a correct procedure. Can some one provide a basic document or can tell me steps in short that i need to follow, for Name space and package creation and how to use them in NWDS.

    How do I see the procedures I just created when I ran the package again with the procedures?If you want to see the source code, look at the CREATE PACKAGE BODY command in the script you just ran, or query the data dictionary view user_source:

  • Why a semi-colon is not enough when creating packages and package bodies?

    Hi,
    I'm struggling with a quite simple problem - when creating a package header and body in the same script, it does not work as expected. See for example this very simple package:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE mypackage AS
    PROCEDURE test_proc(id INTEGER);
    END mypackage;
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY mypackage AS
    PROCEDURE test_proc(id INTEGER) IS
    BEGIN
    NULL;
    END test_proc;
    END mypackage;
    When executed from JDeveloper (or sqlplus), the package is created but with a "PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol CREATE" error. It seems Oracle does not recognize the script contains header and body, and uses the whole script as a header (which is obviously wrong).
    If modified so that there are "/" everything works fine:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE mypackage AS
    PROCEDURE test_proc(id INTEGER);
    END mypackage;
    CREATE OR REPLACE PACKAGE BODY mypackage AS
    PROCEDURE test_proc(id INTEGER) IS
    BEGIN
    NULL;
    END test_proc;
    END mypackage;
    Why is this necessary? Why Oracle does not recognize that "END mypackage;" actually ends package header definition, and combines it with the body definition into an invalid block? I've thought semicolon is a valid separator, so why is the "/" necessary?
    It does not work even when I try to run the statements separately (from the same worksheet in Jdeveloper) - first select the header block, hit F9 (execute statement), then repeated the same for body. In this case both header and body are created, but are invalid because the last semicolon is removed from them (so it's not possible to compile them).

    For that to work, the SQL engine would have to understand PL/SQL syntax. Only the PL/SQL compiler knows when all the END statements have matched up with their corresponding declarations, and it doesn't do CREATE statements. I guess it could detect that the compilation unit it started has finished and pass any text left over back up to SQL to have another shot at. I'm not sure that's reasonable. There is no other example in SQL where one CREATE statement can turn into two - e.g. you can't send a block of CREATE INDEX statements together and expect the database to parse them out into separate commands.

    Hi,
       This document will help you to create package and move local package name to your package.
    Package  Creation:
    1.T-code=SE80.
    2. give the option 'PACKAGE' in text field, give 'PACKAGE NAME' then enter.
    3. The next screen will open in that screen you shoul give short text and Software Component-'HOME'.  then enter.
    4. Next screen will open here you should give create request then next page will open
    5.In the next page give short description this is your package identification,then click 'SAVE ' button now one  unique number will open then give 'YES' button, now your package is created.
    HOW TO MOVE LOCAL PACKAGE DATA TO YOUR PACKAGE
    1.IN  the same screen you should give program option, then open your local program ,
    2.'WRITE  CLICK YOUR PROGRAM NAME', then give 'COPY' option
    3.Next window will open here you should give 'TARGET PROGRAM NAME'.
    4. THEN you should give you 'PACKAGE NAME'.
    now you can store local package program's to your package.

  • XML without namespace and prefix, modified package-info.java, JAX-WS option

    Hello
    I have created a consumer business service which will be called from JDEdwards EOne, pulls data from database and send it to Fusion Middleware.
    SO, I have created proxy using JAX-WS option. And suggested in oracle doc, I created proxy outside OMW and then copied it to my project. XML payload is getting generated without namespace and prefix. After some research, I modified package-info.java. Now, I am able to send the payload and if test it locally from Jdeveloper and take xml output using marshaller I can see it has namespace and prefix as well. BUt, when I run this from server it does not have namespace and prefix.
    Please help.
    Thanks
    TK

    Just to clerify,
    The common complex types are StatusInfo, IdcProperty and IdcPropertyList. I ahve 3 more WSDL's with the exact same entires for those 3.

  • Abap proxies ( Client and Server proxies)

    Hi Team
    Good day to you. I am now started doing some example scenarios on ABAP proxies(ie Client and Server proxies). After going through the blogs which are avialable, i am writing this question to you for clarification.
    As per my understanding, the below are the required predefined settings which i need to do in my landscape to generate abap proxies(ie client and server proxies).
    My landscape includes the below systems.
    System A : SAP XI 3.0 system and
    System B : SAP R/3 on WAS 620
    SAP R/3 predefined Steps
    1.Create HTTP connection in the business system.
    2.Configuration Business system as local Integration Engine.
    3. Connection between Business System and System Landscape Directory.
    4. Maintaining the SAP J2EE Connection Parameters for LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI in SAP J2EE engine
    (Here in the step 4, i found the below needs to be done)
    1. Goto J2EE Engine
    2. Choose Cluster --> Server --> Services. JCo RFC provider
    3. Under RFC destination specify the following:
         Program ID: LCRSAPRFC
         Gateway Host: <Integration Server host>
         Gateway Service: <Integration Server gateway service>
         Number of process: 3
    4. Under Repository specify the following:
    5. Choose Set.
    Application Server: <Integration Server host>
    (i am not able to perform the steps which comes under point 4. so please Guide me how to goto J2EE engine and configure accordingly.
    5.  Maintain SLD access details in Transaction SLDAPICUST.
    As per my understanding, i need to do the above predefined configuration steps in SAP R/3 system (ie bussiness System) for doing Abap Client or Server proxies.
    And in the meantime, i would like to know whether i need to do any predefined configuration steps in XI 3.o system also. Please check and suggest me accordingly.
    Once i get clarification on predefined configuration steps, i will proceed with the example scenarios  on client and server proxies which are already in SDN.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Raj

    Hello Pavan
    thanks for your response.  you said that for the connection type 'H' we need to provide values for GATEWAY HOST and GATEWAY SERVICE but here i need to create the RFC destination of type 'T'. so please tell me whether i need to give the values for GATEWAY HOST and GATEWAY SERVICE for connection type 'T' also and the second thing is please tell me the difference between Application system and bussiness system accordingly to my landscape which i mentioned in my question.
    I am in little confusion because as per the requirement for abap proxies in the blog they mentioned that all these setting should be done in the bussiness system (ie SAP R/3) but you  are saying that Application system. so please clarify.
    My landscape which i am going to use in Abap proxy generation
    System A: XI 3.0
    System B: R/3
    Here which is bussiness system and which is application system. Pls calrify.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Which Privilege needed to create a new Package and Stored procedure usage(in HANA studio)

    Hello Friends,
                           In my company I have access to SYSTEM user(i.e. having all required permissions) ,I wish to create new " USER(s) " for trainees thus which "System privilege" or other privileges is/are needed for the following requirements -
    1>To allow the "new user" to create new Packages(and the columnar views inside it and be able to execute,edit them)
    2>Create Procedures inside their schema and execute using  "call " command
    I have given the following privileges as suggested by an ebook (SAP certified author).
    The SELECT privilege on the _SYS_BI schema
    The SELECT privilege on the _SYS_REPO schema
    The EXECUTE privilege on the REPOSITORY_REST procedure
    According to my knowledge "create schema" should be given for new schema creation.For my other requirements which all privileges are needed.
    Thanx.

    In addition to Krishna if you don't want to expose all the package to the trainee, then create a new role keeping everything same as default MODELING role (open it and have a look) but in "PACKAGE PRIVILEGES" add only those package that you want to expose to the end users.

  • A question about creating packages as local objects in ABAP

    Hi,
    I have a question about creating packages with SE80. Whenever I create a new package it is assigned a new transport request. After that, I can create new programs inside this package, and each time I can choose whether to assign the new program to a transport request or just save it as a local object (I often do this for test programs that I don't transport and I remove them once my tests have been done).
    What I would like to ask is that, is it possible to create a package (and not just programs inside a given package) as a local object? so that every new object created in this package will be considered as a local object?
    Thanks in advane,
    Kind Regards,
    Dariyoosh

    Thank you very much for this remark, I checked F1 help for the package field and in fact as you mentioned these ranges are for local objects.

  • 1:n Message split and Abap Proxies??

    Hello,
    Can I not use Message split and Abap Proxy together? My scenario is MDM->File ->XI->Proxy->BI.
    I am getting a single file syndicated from MDM and in XI If I use message mapping to do 1:n split in the message mapping, can I use it with Abap Proxies? As per the link below, XI adapter is not present in the list..We are on PI 7.0 SP14. Thank you..
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/42/ed364cf8593eebe10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm
    Thank you for any suggestion..

    Hi Thanujja,
    If you see the message from Raj, I dont think we can split the messages for the proxy. This is beacause the splitting of messages take place at the Adapter Level only for the adapters on the Java stack.
    As suggested by Guru, you can try splitting the messages in the inbound proxy instead of using a BPM, in that way you can acheive good performance.
    Thanks,

  • Creating data and .par files using SWIFT Integration Package

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to generate a data and .par file using SAP PI Integration package for SWIFT.
    I am following the SAP Note: 1303428.
    I have created 1 sender and 2 receiver comm channels(one for payload and other for par). Used operation mapping SWIFT_payload_parFile_split in the Interface determination.
    I am using the adapter module : localejbs/swift/FileActConversionToSWIFTModule and setting the parameter DetachParameters to true. This adapter module is being used in all the three channels(1 sender and 2 receivers).
    I have used ASMA ans has set the FileName checkbox.
    Now after placing the file in the input directory, the file with the same name gets created in the output directory but the file is exactly same and also no .par file is getting created. I have set the Empty file handling to Ignore, so it shows that there is no data to  create a .par file and only payload file is getting created but the payload file is exactly same.

    But while creating the par file, it shows that the file could not be overwritten and so the .par file is not getting created.
    I need to understand that:
    1)  How do I configure both of my receiver channels i.e. what should be the difference. Currently, I am just setting the
    same Output directory in both and file name schema * and has used ASMA with FileName parameter. So same name files are getting created and so one file gets discarded. How to create a .par file.
    2) Also Is the file above is the correct file required by SWIFT.
    3) Also when I check in SXMB_MONI, I can see that after running the adapter module same payload as given above is going in both payload and par files i.e. also if I am using different names in my receiver communication channels two files are getting created payload and par both are having the same payload. So what exactly should get created.
    Kindly guide on this implementation.

    Hi,
    I am able to generate the .par file by setting the localsecurity to true and the KeyId from the key manager.
    Now two files are getting created .xml and .par. .xml file which is the payload file is the same as the input file with no difference and contains both the overrides and the data parameters. The .par file contains the Algorithm and the Value.
    Is this correct?
    Also suppose the input file name is SEPA.xml, then the payload file is created with the name as
    SEPA.xml and the par file is created with the name SEPA.xml.par. I need only SEPA.par. How to achieve this.
