Creating report of all phones used with PC Suite

Is it possible for inventory purposes to compile a report of all the phones that have been connected to the system with PC Suite installed? I have a separate spreadsheet now for this, but it would be much easier with less room for error if it could be created from within the application.

It's possible to write a software to detect com port connection and use standard AT command to send phone request for the model info (ATI etc).

In 9.3.1 (at least) you have to use the FR Studio, I'm pretty sure it's the same in 11.
What happens in the workspace if you select from the Hyperion/Oracle menu:
File/New/Document
In 9.3.1 there are options for:
- Interactive Reporting
- Web Analysis
- Report Books
- Batches

Please tell us what you mean by "web streaming." Are you referring to a version of the content that can be viewed in a web browser?

Creating reports for user tables using XL reporter

Hi Yoav,
XL Reporter cannot pull data from UDTs. However, you can use an Excel template when creating your XL Reporter report and then embed VBA code in the template to pull the UDT data in to the report after the XL Reporter has finished generating the report. It all depends on how you need to combine the UDT data with other SBO data. If you are interested in a report based entirely on UDT data then it would be simpler just to write the report using VBA in Excel (or Crystal).

How Do I create a Modular Function for use with Event Listeners

OK I'm very new to AS3 and I'm curious as to how to get
modular functions to work in AS3.
for instance if I have this code:
function snowfall(snowflake:MovieClip, movement:Number):void
snowflake.y = movement;
snowfall(snowflake1_mc, 10);
snowfall(snowflake2_mc, 20);
snowfall(snowflake3_mc, 30);
Now on the stage I place 3 instances of a snowflake movie
clip. Each time I call the "snowfall" function I refer to a new
instance of the snowflake movie clip and a different amount of
movement along the y axis.
This is great but what if I want to use a button to control
these snowflake movie clips and I want to maintain that modular
nature? I don't really get how to do this. I created a button with
an instance name of "myButton" and I've tried this code but it is
throwing an error I don't really understand:
myButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,
snowfall(snowflake3_mc, 30));
Can I not pass information to a function using an
EventListener?

What you want to do on your button is this..
myButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,snowfall)
Then in the function you can check which button called the
function using
properties of the event..
function snowfall(event:MouseEvent) {
trace(event)
I am not sure off the top of my head of the data available in
the "event"
but the trace will show you all the variables you can access.
As far as the amount of movement -- how is this information
set? You can
keep this in a global variable and then read it from inside
the event
handler rather than needing to pass it to the event.

Is it possible to create a new account to use with an existing iPhone?

My iTunes account was hacked and I want to create a new account. I have an iPhone 3G, and I want to start using my new iTunes account with it. Is it possible do this without losing all of the stuff on my iPhone and having to re-purchase all of the apps that I've bought?

You can create a brand new iTunes account and sync to it. However, all of your apps will have to be manually deleted on the old account and newly downloaded to the new account.
You don't have to do this, until there is an upgrade notification. I don't know what to tell you about those apps that you paid for. I think you might be out of luck with that. But, as another writer said, check with Apple. They may be able to help.

Why does my hotmail account will no longer allow me to reply, foreward or create new email when in use with the firefox browser but allow me to do those things when using IE?

5-6 days ago my hotmail account began to say words to the effect that it could not perform the above described actions. I sent a few inquiries but have received no response. I opened a gmail with which seems to work just fine except for one aspect which I will mention later. When I opened IE(without add-ons) and accessed hotmail the above mentioned actions seem to work just fine. I have used firefox as my browser for about 6-7 years with no problems. The computer i use is still the same and i have made no changes other than to install MS updates which occur automatically. I'm puzzled. Can you assiist?
The issue I'm having with gmail is that I cannot figure out how to force a log-in asking for username and password and how to force an explicit logout.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry you have not been able to utilize your text messaging AlaynaFHirsch. I recommend downloading the new software to your phone. It will definitely help with functionality issues. Are you using a 3rd party messaging application? Have you tried to perform a restore on your account?

You can get order wise costing report as following :
Go to Production-->Shop Floor Control>Information System>Controlling Reports->Product Cost by Order where you will different drilldown options for getting costing report for orders.

Cisco Call Manager - No all phones uses License

I've upgraded from Call Manager 8.0 to 9.1. I did the License Count Utility Report and the License request from ELM.
Cisco sent me then afterwards the license, I've installed the license and all done.
But as you see on the print screen only few devices uses a license. Why?

From the ELM snapshot, there is no Unused license. This means all licenses are being consumed.
Can u please click on View Usage report on Unassigned devices in CUCM is first attachment shared by you and check how licenses are being used?

Creating a Dynamic Playlist for use with Amazon Cloudfront

I am working on a soultion for my website to deploy Falsh encoded videos from the Amazon Cloudfront using Flash Streaming Video Server 3.5 and the JW Falsh Player (www.longtailvideo.com).
I am NOT a code person but here is what I am trying to accomplish. I hope I am in the correct forum! If not, I apologize.
I have several videos a week that I edit and can save in different kbps versions for Dynamic Bitrate streaming through the JW Player. My problem is creating the XML or SMIL playlist to initiate the bitrate switching. I would like to find an authoring tool or someway to generate the required file in a fairly easy manner as I am more videographer/editor that code warrior.
I would also like to have a playlist of other available videos associated with any given video that could be delivered with the Dynamic Bitrate Switching feature. Example: a lawyer that specializes in several different fields of law and would like to have 5 videos, one for each area of specialization, delivered to clients with high bandwidth and clients on mobile devices and everyone in between!

Have you tried to rename the backup file to a simpler one before backup proceeding?
Please also check if the backup disk is in NTFS format. If it's formatted in FAT32, the max file size can accept is 4GB - if your N95 have a fairly big volume over that 4GB limit, sometimes the phone will reboot.

With 5th gen nano, how to display album artwork during playback at all times, it stays on for a few seconds and then the screen goes black? Is there a way to play and see artwork, at all times (using with a aux. speaker)

I have a 5th gen nano, and I play it often on a aux. speaker. I would like the album artwork to display at all times while playing it here. Right now it plays for a few seconds on each song, and then goes blank. Can this be changed?

The artwork turns black or the screen's backlight turns off? If the backlight turns off, simply disable the backlight timer, but keep in mind this will significantly reduce your iPod's playback time and battery life.

i have a problem with my nokia 6500c. i downloaded the latest version 6.86.14.0 . however, it says that the my phone is incompatible with the pc suite. i have tried several versions and it's still the same. what should i do?

Ultra cs3 use with Master Suite 5.5

I installed Adobe Master Suite 5.5 & reloaded the Adobe Ultra 3. Everything is fine with the 5.5 suite but the Ultra CS3 still asks that a CS3 Suite be provided.
