Creating two email accounts

I was wondering regarding the problem everyone is having with sending email through wifi vs. edge if a person could setup two email accounts for the same email but one to work with wifi and the other for AT&T's network. Would they work together or would you have conflicts?

There is no setting for that. The phone uses the available connection present when you are trying to send the mail. If wifi is on and you are connected, the phone will send via wifi, and if wifi is off or not available, edge will be used automatically. If there is no edge the phone should place the message in outbox. Does this help? Im not sure i understand the issue.

    I have been attempting to follow from another Mac forum a method by which you can create two distinct accounts using google notifier ( one for my wife and one for myself).It says:"Now go to "userhome"/Library/Preferences. Here you will see the file "com.google.GmailNotifier.plist". I am having some difficulty finding this .Likely it is right in front of me ,but please I am a a fairly new user.Maybe there is someone who has a straight forward answer to creating two email accounts using google notifier.

    Userhome refers to the user's account folder: /Users/username/ also referred to as the Home folder. You want the Home folder for the desired account.

    I mean, two accounts with different purchase history. It doesn't matter if billing address, or credit card are the same (or different) because none of them flag apps as "purchased"
    I tried today from iTunes, but it tells me the email is taken.
    Do you know any way a user can do it from our end? (website, iTunes, iPhone)

    Expired .mac accounts HAVE NO EMAIL. You own the id (which iTunes requests to be spelled in form of an email)
    Also, FREE .mac accounts have no email either.
    What you see in the screenshots is what I'm saying:
    There's been a change in the way iTunes wants you to login. The iTunes reps see at their end what you see at the top of the window, which probably is the "migration" of the new login: Old login system, using ID (in form of email for iTunes)
    BELOW you clearly see where says "ID" and both have the email as login.
    (again, that .mac email doesn't exist and NEVER DID)
    That's the NEW login: your EMAIL.
    I'm sorry I didn't explain it better the first time. I wrote about this so many times to iTunes support reps to prevent them to "read" what their system says that I gave it for settled. (not to mention that my first post was removed because "it lacks of interest for others"
    I own an apple ID, given away with the purchase of a new computer (nothing small by the way) and when that happens (and never subscribe for a paid membership), you use ANOTHER email to be related to your account.
    Now that AGAIN apple asks you for using your EMAIL (non-apple in our case) instead of your ID (which you can't use or you will never get a notification again!) the system believes there are two accounts.
    It's like your credit card bank changing the address for sending the payments. You are STILL paying, but getting a higher rate because their CHANGED the address and the check never arrives.
    In this case, signing in with a different string, makes the system believe there are two accounts. And that probably is under the policy which probably states purchases are not charged twice for SAME ID, and SAME iPhone… and you used a different ID, so it must be fair (sarcasm). Who told you to do so? Bad boy!

    OK, let me see if I understand:
    You have one email account successfully integrated.
    You want now to integrate a Yahoo email account, but when you provide the credentials to the on-device email configuration wizard, it replies with "password and email is incorrect".
    Is that accurate? If so, I suspect that the error message is not exactly that...but nevertheless it sounds like the credentials you are providing for this Yahoo account are not valid. Any chance there are special characters and/or numbers in the email address or the password? If so, then this may apply...for instance, if your password is
    ab123
    and you enter
    a > b > ALT > 1 > 2 > 3
    the actual result will be
    ab1er
    You must enter
    a > b > ALT > 1 > ALT > 2 > ALT > 3
    in order to wind up with ab123. So, in this example, while on the BB keyboard you think you are typing ab123, you are actually typing ab1er.
    On your BB, when you type your password, you should get just a moment where each character is shown in the clear before it changes to an *. Watch closely the next time and you may see a surprising result.
    Otherwise, do indeed try (via your BB Browser) the link provided above by Wolf359. Additionally, you can, from your PC/browser, try your carriers BIS website...you will need to ask them for that URL. Further, if you ring up your carrier, they may be able to integrate this to your BB for you.

    AR Customer Setup: Communication Type Email Creates Two Email Entries, one with type as Email and other as E-mail.
    In AR Receivables > customer > entry > (B) account details > (T) communication or >Contact roles. While creating new customer contact communication type emai entry, upon entering email address, type as email and saving it, oracle defaultly creates another entry with same address and type as E-mail. So every time i create on email contact email address, it creates another similar with E-mail type.
    My question: Why does two entries get created and how can we avoid it.

    Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
    To use the proprietary RIM Push email capability, you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), you will then have Personal Email added to the email setup wizard.
    Further, since this is a second hand device, you should read this and ensure that the prior owner fully conducted all steps in the Seller section...if not, then your carrier will never be able to register a BIS account to the BB.

    I have two email accounts associated with one iTunes account with two passwords,  I guess it happened when i changed my internet service provider. 

    Could be, but i do have an old email account, whis is not used, changed carrriers.  I have noticed that some songs have a cloud with a line through it.  I try to play it and a dialog box from Itunes pops up: "THIS COMPUTER IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO PLAY "THE THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE(SOUND TRACK VERSION, would you like to authorize it?  THe apple ID haxe my old  email address " and an empty block asking for my password.  Well all i know is when you start trying to authorze with an old ID or something of that nature, the account is block and you need to do a new setup again.  And who knows what other problems that will cause,
    I just want the songs (i think there are several songs) assosiated with this old account to move to my new account.
    Any ideas?

    If I have two email accounts, one personal hotmail account and one MS Exchange work account on my iPhone 4s, How can I setup individual notifications for each account? Fore example, if I get a work email, I want to hear a DING, DING....If I get a personal email, I want to hear a BEEP, BEEP. Right now, any email from any account has the same notification. I want work incoming email notification to be different than personal incoming notification. The only semi-workaround I've seen is just disable any notification for the Hotmail account, so only work emails would notify. But then I don't know when I get a personal email. Even the lowely Blackberry Torch 9800 has this feature..not iPhone 4s??

    I am currently running two email accounts on my iPhone 4s.
    Both accounts have email/contacts/calendar synced to the phone so I can have all contacts on the phone.
    I now have to close one of these accounts due to work but I would like to keep all the contacts on the account I am closing, on the iPhone.
    Does anyone know how to save these contacts to my phone so I dont lose any?

  • TS3276 I have two email accounts set up on Mail.  One shows the unread messages and the other one doesn't... how can I get it to show both account's unread messages?

    Yes it is possible to set up multiple accounts but you cannot switch between them in the mail app.  What you can do in settings/mail etc is have one set as active an dthe other as inactive and you can change that from time to time if you want
