Creating User ID using BAPI_USER_CREATE

Hi
I am creating a user ID using the BAPI_USER_CREATE.
I couldnt find the parameter in this to add roles to the user.
Can anyone let me know How to assign roles to the users created by using this BAPI.

    I’m trying to perform a schema import and exclude the "create user" statements using the datapump API but I can’t get the syntax correct for the dbms_datapump.metadata_filter call.
    Using impdp I use a parfile that includes the following statements:
    schemas=bob, john
    exclude=user
    How do I achieve the same effect using the dbms_datapump.metadata_filter API?
    Any assistance greatly appreciated.

  • Creating user groups using SQ03.

    I am going to make a change to a already existing query 01 in the user group /SAPQUERY/AM. I am not a query expert, in fact this is the second query that I am modifing. I am reading some documentation that the first thing that I have to do is create a user group. from what I am reading, the user group will contain the users that are allowing to modify queries. Since our users do not use this tool, I am the only one that creates and modifies queries. I think I am going to create a user group and that my user-id will be the only one in the group - correct? will I create one user group and and queries that I make changes to in the future user this user group or do I create user groups based on the users group that are defined by SAP. example - If I am changing a query in /SAPQUER/AM  and in /SAPQUERY/AU - would I create 2 user groups  1 for AM and 1 for AU or would I create only 1 user group and use it for both queries.
    After this, I think I have to copy the infoset (SQ02)and the query (SQ01) to custom names (names starting with Z) and then attaching the parts to the new user group.

    Typically you want to create user groups for functional areas or grouped reports/queries. You can enter as many users as needed into a user group and only those who have the checkbox next to their name in the user group screen will have authorization to create/modify queries in the infosets where the usergroup is assigned. If you are creating 2 usergroups with the same users and authorizations then that is redundant but if the list of users is different or the authorizations may change then it would make sense to have 2 usergroups. You should have some naming convention to follow when creating the queries but the Z prefix is not required.

    I am working on creating a shell script to create a specific user on all Mac computers at work. I have run the following commands in Terminal with no luck:
    dscl . create /Users/myuser
    dscl . create /Users/myuser RealName "My User"
    dscl . passwd /Users/myuser UsersPW
    dscl . create /Users/myuser UniqueID 561
    dscl . create /Users/myuser PrimaryGroupID 1000
    dscl . create /Users/myuser NFSHomeDirectory /Users/administrator
    dscl . create /Users/myuser UserShell /bin/bash
    dscl . append /Groups/admin GroupMembership administrator
    I have seen in the discussions that running these commands has enabled some to log in using the user account they created - they just can't see the user account in the Users list in Sys Prefs. I can't see my user account, log into my computer with it, or see a user folder at /Users/myuser. I AM able to see the user after running the dscl command and cd Local/Users/myuser - but with an ls that directory is empty. What am I missing?
    In terminal I am using the root user. I've tried logging in with sudo su and sudo -s. All commands run, but no account is created.
    If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't really understand your reply, but since asking my question I realized that if, rather than choose 'New Image' inside the Disk Utility window, I use the menu bar at the top of the screen, and select File > New > Blank Disk Image,  then I get the choices I hoped for. It's all in looking in the right place, I guess, but I do wonder why those choices are not available when you choose 'New Image' within the Disk Utility window. Oh well.

    yes it is possible. as a reference please have a look at this document How to Reference External JAR Files in Web Dynpro DC in SAP NW Portal 7.3
    basically the steps are the same (adding dependency, public parts, etc.) for a ejb or java project.

    I have an Oracle export dump and it is a schema level export only.
    Is there any way that I can get the create user statement from that dump using import full=y show=y ?
    How do I identify the create user statement once I did the show=y

    Yes with full export this is possible because full export will create all schemas but this is not possible with schema level export because schema level import does not recreate schema.

    I have managed to use the PL/SQL DBMS_LDAP package to create and modify OID users (DBMS_LDAP.add_s and DBMS_LDAP.modify_s).
    The question is: How can I use DBMS_LDAP to assign privileges to OID users? By "privileges" I mean options like the following (i.e. the options you can enable/disable for any OID user if you login to OIDDAS and click the "privileges" button for a particular user):
    Allow user creation
    Allow user editing
    Allow user deletion
    Allow group creation
    Allow group editing
    Allow group deletion
    Allow privilege assignment to users
    Allow privilege assignment to groups

    The configuration of each line cards are stored in each line cards.  There maybe a 40 Gbps backplane line but some commands have "low priority" communicating between the different line cards and up to the supervisor card.
    You'll see similar sort of behaviour too when you stack seven to nine 3750/G/E/X switches together.

    I installed minisap NW 7.0 and created personal users for 000 and 001 clients. I used for that TR. SU01 by DDIC user.
    Name of my client not BCUSER.
    For my personal clients i made all parameters, roles,profiles such as BCUSER user of 000 client (it was after installation NW 7.0)
    I use my personal client. For BW working i use 001 personal client.
    When i attempt to create user exit (for example: for ench. RSR00001), system requires to enter access key for creating include. It happens in for 000 and 001 my personal client.
    BUT, if i use BCUSER 000 client, system don't requires access key and makes it passible to create and to correct include.
    What i must to do that i could to create user exits using my personal client?

    Normally you don`t change the 000 client this should remain te standard reference client. You should activate you user exit with the transaction CMOD and SMOD. Then a include will be added so that you can add you code.

    Am not sure what type of BI server installation you have...
    But here's one way you could create your users.
    From the BI Administration Tool --> Open your repository either offline or online --> From the menu click on Manage --> Security--> Here's where you could create your users, groups etc., set what subject areas each user/group should have access to --> After creating your users/groups you could double-click on the user or group and set permissions.

    The hosting company has provided ISQL * Plus interface. I have created user by using the following command:
    Create user test identified by test;
    Grant connect, resource to test;
    But I am unable to load or import data into db. How can I import/load data as its giving permission denied message.
    I think there is a lack of imp/loading data grants. Who do I set?
