Creation of push buttons in report program

hi guys,
I have rquirement like in selection screen i need one paramenter like vbeln and i need two push buttons ? can we create pushbuttons in selection screen? if possible can anyone please help me on these?

- Change the pf-status. - Check FM [RS_SET_SELSCREEN_STATUS|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/advancedsearch?query=rs_set_selscreen_status] (to be called in PBO - AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT)
- Add 1-4 function key with [SELECTION-SCREEN - FUNCTION KEY|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABAPSELECTION-SCREEN_FUNCTIONKEY.htm]

Using application toolbar push buttons in report

Hello folks,
I'm new to ABAP and so i'm facing some problems with my code.
I have copied a standard program to my Z program (ZXXXXX). I have added few push buttons to the application toolbar of the Z program (ZXXXXX) and now on click of the 1st button i need to call another standard program.
Where should I write the code for the action to be performed on click of the buttons? I am aware that it is generally written in the PAI module but I did not have this module, its a normal report program and not a module pool.
Need your help.

As for the question, you would need to clarify where this application toolbar option is placed:
- in selection screen?
- in list (output of program)?
If first applies, do as above suggested (using AT SELECTION-SCREEN event).
If second is what you need, use event AT USER-COMMAND .
In both cases variable sy-ucomm will hold function code of triggered function (i.e sy-ucomm = 'MY_BUTTON' ). If that condition is fulfilled simply use SUBMIT 'MY_PROGRAM' AND RETURN , or just SUBMIT 'MY_PROGRAM' if you don't want to get back to calling program.

You can ceate PUSHBUTTON in selection-screen like Below
SELECTION-SCREEN PUSHBUTTON 2(10) text-004 USER-COMMAND CL1.
Create a variable to hold the processed PUSHBUTTON value like
DATA v_flag TYPE flag.
The PUSHBUTTON will be processed at the event AT SELECTION-SCREEN. So write your code like below
AT SELECTION-SCREEN.
   IF sy-ucomm EQ 'CL1'.
     v_flag = 1.          "Buttob clicked
   ENDIF.
START-OF-SELECTION.
IF v_flag EQ 1.
     NEW-PAGE LINE-SIZE 100.
ENDIF.
OR
The best way of doing this by setting PF-STATUS like
START-OF-SELCTION.
SET PF-STATUS 'ZSTATUS'. "Double click on this and set the pushButton in standard toolbar option and in function key specify the BACK, EXIT and CANCEL button .
Then write your logic at the event AT USER-COMMAND.
AT USER-COMMAND.
   CASE sy-ucomm.
     WHEN 'RED'.
       NEW-PAGE LINE-SIZE 100.
     WHEN 'BACK' OR 'CANCEL' OR 'EXIT'.
       LEAVE SCREEN.

Sending Print through Push Button in report...

I'm running report with 'DISABLEPRINT=Yes' and 'DisableFile=Yes' parameters. Now can I send the print of currently displaying report to a printer without rerunning the report...I mean is there any print command in reports???

I'm using Reports 6i. My report layout style is Group Above. I've adopted this technique coz in this report I'm generating an important document which should be printed only once in normal conditions. So to avoid multiple printing of this report I've disabled File menu(to prohibit generation of PDF etc) and Print Button. Now the report will generate only thru a button I've placed into the report and it'll check there whether user is printing for the First time or more.....Ok??? is it enough???

Radio buttons in report programing

HI Vikram,
You can create push button in the output list. You have to use SET PF-STATUS statement.
Just follow these stepts for creation of PUSH BUTTON.
1. write SET PF-STATUS 'TEST'.
2. double click on TEST.
3. It will ask you to create status object. click on YES.
4. give the short description and press enter.
5. next screen you will find three things like... MENU BAR, APPLICATION TOOL BAR and FUNCTION KEYS.
6. click on the down arrow that appears next to APPLICATION TOOL BAR.
7. in the items, in first box write your name and press down the text. one popup box will come. press enter.
8. give the function text and press enter.
9. assign key for your push button. and press enter.
10. press enter and activate.
and run your program. you will get push button on output list.
Adding event for the PUSHBUTTON
For the pushbutton use an sy-ucomm ie SAVE to appln toolbar
AT USER-COMMAND.
CASE sy-ucomm.
WHEN 'SAVE'.
write your code here to save in the appln server

Execute in Back ground when push button clicked on alv output

Hi Friends,
I have a alv list display report with check boxes and a 'Detail' Push button in output
when i check the check boxes and click on the 'Detail' Push button detail report is
displayed using 'REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY'. My requirement is if I click on 'Detail'
push button the code should also execute in back ground creating the spool. Request you
to help with sample code. I tried with below but not working.

Can we develop cells or push buttons with increaseing number auotmatically

hi all
I am customizing a sinario which contains different number of flats in different appartments. Sianrio is to customize Flat nos. as a blocks.
So if we give no.of Flats in an Appartment, can we get blocks with numbering with increase order. Is it possible to develop Text areas or Push buttons in GUI programming.
if so please explain me.
For example : if we give number 10 then it should dispaly 10 blocks.

Not sure if you can dynamically create buttons on a screen, however, you could use an ALV Grid and show a number of "flats" per line and react to each one as a hotspot.
i.e. Put up to 10 flats on a line. then read the line and determine the one pushed by Field Name.
you may be able to create a button in each cell of the grid, and perhaps name each one individually.
The crude way would be to put the max number of buttons on a screen and simply set unavailable "Flats" button to active.= 0.

(1)u've created a screen -
> added push buttons etc. -
> given name to screen elements i.e pushbuttons etc.and also declared them in program
(2) create its GUI status ,say STATUS_100---->here you have to assign Function codes ->like if in standard toolbar you want BACK,EXIT,CANC or whatever you want,for ex. for BACK u'll find its icon -> double click on it>give the Func code say F3,now u also wnt to enable Func Key F3 for this--> go to UTILITIES (menu bar)-> F Key consistency-> here u will find all the Func keys-> so to F3 give the same func code as u gave to BACK icon button.
similar approach u can use for pussbuttons:
double click on push button> in screen painter attributes-> give the Func code to it ,say for CREATE button u give Func code NEW->come back to GUI status->similarly go to UTILITIES (menu bar)-> F Key consistency-> here u will find all the Func keys---> so to F7 give the same func code (NEW) as u gave to CREATE push button.
(3) In PBO of this screen create a module to set its PF status:
In screen flow logic:
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
* To set pf-status and title
MODULE status_0100.
In Program:
MODULE status_0100 OUTPUT.
SET PF-STATUS 'STATUS_100'.

Dynamically change icon name of push button

Hi,
I would like to ask how to dynamically change the icon name attribute of a push button in dialog programming. What is the syntax for assigning an icon name during runtime?
I am currently doing a multiple selection function for KNA1-KUNNR.
Initially, the icon name is ICON_ENTER_MORE. When the user picks up more than one customer, it should automatically change to ICON_DISPLAY_MORE. How can I do this?
here's the code i currently have:
DESCRIBE TABLE kunnr_ran LINES l_kunnr.
IF l_kunnr > 1.
      g_add_multiple = 'X'.
BT_MULT_CUST-icon_name = 'ICON_DISPLAY_MORE'.

The name of my pushbutton is BT_MULT_CUST.
The code in ** is not correct. I don't know the syntax in SAP. But that is how it is done in VB for example.

If you have not found your answer already, please try the following:
1) In screen layout painter: for the pushbutton in question (i.e. pb_multi_select), mark the "Output field" on the program attributes tab in the attributes window for the pushbutton. Make sure that its visible length is at least 2 too. This will "gray out" the "Text" and other fields.
2) In the TOP INCLUDE of the module program: add a variable for the pushbutton that is of type "icons-text" and don't forget to include <icons>. Below is an example
INCLUDE <icon>
DATA: pb_multi_select TYPE icons-text.
3) In a module called in the PBO modules for the screen that needs its button changed, call the function "ICON_CREATE" and pass at minimum the name of the icon and the field that you specified in step 2. Below is an example using the icon "ICON_DISPLAY_MORE", "ICON_ENTER_MORE", and a flag variable "MULTI_SEL_INFO_EXISTS" that indicates if any multiple selection information has already been entered. It would be set by the program (not automatically, but by coding) prior to the "IF" statement:
IF multi_sel_info_exists = 'X'.
CALL FUNCTION 'ICON_CREATE'
      EXPORTING
         name = 'ICON_DISPLAY_MORE'
      IMPORTING
         result = pb_multi_select.

hi,
my requirement is that , i have to give push button in alv report output(item level) not in application toolbar, i am using reuse_alv_grid_display FM, can any body provide me sample code
