Creation of Secondary Infotypes

Hello gurus,
I have to create secondary infotypes for IT0021 for the country Sweden. I am trying the transaction code PM01....but I don't get to see the IT View option in the menu so as to initiate secondary infotype creation.
Request your urgent help.

Having not worked on a Swedish project can't say that I know what you actually require, however SAP make it fairly clear about not creating your own IT view.
Standard settings
SAP delivers infotype views for several chosen infotypes - especially for
those of relevance to the German civil service.
Activities
Do not create any of your own infotype views.
Do not change the settings for assigning infotypes and views.
If it is a legislative requirement it should've been delivered by SAP, if it's a new legislative type requirement it should be delivered by SAP although I can't find any recent OSS note covering this. The standard SAP help also doesn't mention any country specific requirements with regards to Sweden and IT0021.

This is a known problem with SQL Server 2000, see
Note 1180553 - Syntax error 170 during index creation on SQL 2000
I highly suggest upgrading to SQL Server 2005 or 2008.

Buffering and creation of secondary indexes.

I have a table that has more than 6 million records, due to which performance is slow during the transaction search, kindly let me know if Buffering and creation of secondary indexes will help me.
I am given to understand that creation of seconary indexes and full buffering may not always improve performance. Kindly let me know when it is advised to go for full buffering.

IT0002 New Infotype Framework with Secondary Infotype Short Dump

In our new ERP 6.0 system, we are seeing a short dump, ASSIGN_BASE_TOO_SHORT in CL_HRPA_INFOTYPE_0002_BE when hiring a Belgium employee. It appears in the new Framework, the SPECIFIC_INITIAL_COMPUTATIONS method of CL_HRPA_INFOTYPE_0002_BE is expecting there to already be data in IT0108 (secondary infotype for Belgium IT0002). However, during a hire, this data has not been filled yet. That will be done during the processing of the IT0002 itself.
I looked into IT0021 for the US, where IT0106 is a secondary infotype and the issue isn't present. The code in the SPECIFIC_INITIAL_COMPUTATIONS of CL_HRPA_INFOTYPE_0021_US is written entirely different without the use of field symbols, so maybe it is a coding issue?
Has anyone else run into this issue, or know if we are possibly missing configuration that would keep this issue from happening?

Yes, we have seen that note, and we have those changes implemented. We are still having an issue. The issue is related to any IT0002 with a secondary infotype so that includes Belgium, Brazil, Korea just to name a few.
It appears the PNNNN2 structure within the SPECIFIC_INITIAL_COMPUTATIONS method is null (because it hasn't been created yet), and that is causing the short dump. I can't believe this is working as expected because there is no way the IT0108 can be assumed to have a value in it, or you could never hire anyone.

Many country versions require country-specific fields that are attached to all international infotypes. To prevent international infotype structures from being overloaded with country specific fields, the fields are moved to additional infotypes. The data however is maintained as a single unit .The primary and additional(secondary) infotypes are maintained together on one screen in an infotype view which is defined using T582V and T582W. Both the infotype records have an identical infotype key
Example(for US)-Primary infotype 0021 is used for stroing data of Family Member/ Dependents. It has a secondary infotype 0335(HR Master Data: Infotype 0335 (infotype 21 view - PT)) associated with it. If you have a family member or dependent in 0021, where do you store the Social Security Number of this realted family member/dependent? SSN of the dependent goes into PA0335.
P.S- The SSN for the employee himself is stored in the infotype 0002: PA0002-PERID.

Creation of HR infotype with repeated fields

Hi,
We have a requirement in our project where in we need to implement the repeat field screen structure.
We have to create an info type with 96 fields in which some of the fields are repeated more than once.
We have tried to create a table control to represent the repeated fields, for this we have a standard way which SAP follows. We have done the same way but we are not able to get the table control in the info type screen.
We have done the following steps using this link

1) I have created a structure with the repeated fields of the info type
2) created the entries in Mapping for Conversion of Repeat Structure/Tables (table T588AUTO_MAP) with the repeated fields
3) For each type LINE screen structure to be used, a corresponding entry was defined in Mapping for Conversion of Repeat Structure/Tables (table T588AUTO_TABLE).
4) I have created an info type with all these fields where in I should get the repeated fields in the table control format, but this was not happening.
Is there any task to be done to link all these transactions before going for creation of the info type?
Can any one suggest me how to get the table format on the screen with all these repeated fields.

Creation of new Infotype Important

I am using the table control for my Infotype creation. i linked the internal table with the table control wizard. I added a check box in the table control ( which is not there in the internal table). i need to access this table control check box. how can i make it.
Do i need to include the check box value in it.

Why the creation of a infotype is not traced by infotype change log report?

Hello Experts,
I triggered the trace of IT655 change for infotype auditing report RPUAUD00. But I found out if just create the infotype with a certain start date without changing any field, this creation cannot be picked up by the report. Is this normal or not? What else I can do to trace the creation also?

Allan - We are having a similar issue with Events (0000) infotype? Did you apply note 44206 in your system?
If you applied the note, did the developer implement the changes to the 2 Standard SAP programs (per note 44206)?
If you didn't apply the note, how did you resolve the issue of the trace within the infotype?

Looking in the OSS notes we found the note "SAP Note 841324 - ST03N: poor performance for process chain profile" where it recommends the creation of a secondary index in the table RSPCPROCESSLOG with the following features:
Create another secondary index on the RSPCPROCESSLOG table with the
following fields:
- INSTANCE
- TYPE
Can you please let us know what is the step by step to proceed with the creation of this secondary index?

Creation of secondary indexes due to heavy flow of messages in ecc smq2

So we are facing smq2 issues from last 15 days in Ecc system due to some Time Limit Exceed and some times Object is Locked by the user xxxx
So finally we decided to go for creating seconday indexes in Ecc side , So here my question is there any thing required from Pi side while creating
Secondary indexes why i am asking this question is there is no issues From PI end after reaching to target(ECC) system only messages got stucking
in smq2 and facing issues .Below is the interface details.

Creation of custom infotype

Hi all,
I have a requirement wherein i need to create a infotype.
In this infotype if the Anzhl value of absence quota type is reduced the relavent quota types which are linked to it should also get reduced.
Actually when a leave is approved, the quota is reduced and reflected in 2006 only but here in my case it should get reflected in the new infotype also by creating a seperate record with the entitlement and reduced values.
for ex awart1
suppose for 20 days is reduced from awart1. Awart2 and awart3 are linked to awart1.
simultaneously 20 days quota needs to be reduced from awart2 quota, as well as some 5 days from awart3.
so there will be two records of this new infotype
and also, the ANZHL of the relevant quotas will be reduced
when the leave gets cancelled, these two records will be deleted and quota will be reinstated back
Please help me by providing pointers in this regard.

is the extra salary payment will be included in their regular payroll or will be paid separately or it is only to record the "extra work"? or
"work extra" is it a form like overtime payment?
if it will be included in the salary payment, you can create new wagetype and include it in in IT0014-IT0015 depends on the regularity of the payment.

did u mean "currently in IT0008" there is only limited info (position, pay scale area, groups ...)
please check or consider to use IT0014 and IT0015 -- sap standard infotypes for other extra payment not included in the Basic Pay.
