I am a newbie,I am trying to create source file for the market dim including (population attr dim ).
again in population attri dim i hv 3 levels small,merdium,large.
manually i can create wt ever i need bt using rules file concept how i can ?....
please through some light on preparation of srcfile.

1)i came to know 1 new thing 4m ur post is ,we can also include consolidation operators in our src files & even i tried it bt i dint get any option for the operators.

Pdf portfolio source file name and date in file details

Is it possible to import the source file name and extension as well as the source file created date in the portfolio file details? Need to document source to portfolio in working with 3rd parties that will only have the original source. Need to document what was converted into pdf as not all files in a directory will successfully convert to pdf. Sometimes need to convert 100's of files. Manual entry is inefficient. the file names and modified dates are displayed on the Combine Files dialog. is there a way to capture the detail on that page?

I don't need the detail of when the pdf was added to the portfolio. I
need know which dwg or jpg or word file was converted and the original
created date of that file for control of information.
That is impossible; sorry. For some *very specific* types of conversion to PDF the pdfx:SourceModified XMP tag will be set to show the last-modification date of the source file (for example DOCX files converted using MS Word), but there will never be a human-readable record of the source filename or its creation date unless you have manually added them as document XMP properties after conversion (this is what the "Custom Properties" dialog is for). To embed source data automatically would raise no end of privacy and security problems for customers, who most certainly do NOT want their recipients seeing details of internal documents.
Without writing a plugin there's no access to the internal workflow of the Combine Files dialog, so you cannot use a script to read the names and dates of the files *before* conversion and store them automatically in the new PDF Portfolio's Fields array.

Activation of the activity fails u0096 no source files in the active workspace

Im working on a NWDI installation since last month. The NWDI server (NW2004s) has been installed and configured with the following parameters:
Some Details:
- Java Stack on SPS 12
- No complete Developer Workplace, we only use the Studio (SPS 12)
- OS: WIN 2003
- DB: Oracle 10g
- SDK: 2 SDK, Standard Edition x64 1.4.2_15
Installation Usages Types: DI, AS Java, EP Core, EP (EP for the Visual Composer)
Performed configuration steps:
- adaptation of VM parameter in the Visual Admin
- patched the NWDI Server and the Studio from SPS 9 to support package stack 12 + available single patches
- run the template installer => NWA with type DI Allinone run all post installation Steps for DI, CBS, CMS, DTR
- Oracle Parameters changed, User and Authorizations created and assigned (UME, J2EE Security roles, DTR => ACL List), SLD (Creation of a new Landscape), Configuration of the CBS with the VA
- Configuration of the Studio (SAP J2EE Engine (fill in the NWDI engine), Proxy Settings, Development Configuration Pool)
Development Steps for an example:
- Creation of a new software product (SLD)
- Namespace reservation on SLD => Application Context Root, Development Component Name
- Created a Domain and a Track on CMS
- Attached all Software components to the track (my own dc, SAP-JEE, SAP_Buildt, SAP_JTechs)
- Check-In the Software Components on Transport studio => CMS
- Moved the development configuration into Studio
- Created a ear- and a web-project => Display a JSP File (Its the same example like in the SAP Course TADM10)
- Check-in the activity under Open activities => Activate
My problem appears during the check-in phase in the studio. I was able to check-In the source files in to the inactive Workspace on the DTR, but the activation of the activity fails. (I thought that the build process runs automatically after the activation - also the movement from the source files from the inactive to the active workspace?).
I received no error message, but I cant find any source files in active workspace. The activity seems to be pending. I locate the request in the CBS, the request state is failed regarding the request type activate.
At the moment there is no separate runtime system assigned to the NWDI System.
Questions:
1. Have I forgotten an important configuration step?
2. Can I use the NWDI Server also as a runtime environment (DEV System)?
Please let me know if somebody has an idea.

I have been using file names with spaces and it has been working fine. As stated in reply to Jones, uninstall and reinstall of Premiere Pro CS4 has helped to get rid of this error.
also i did not use Dynamic link, but was trying to create MPEG file using Media Encoder and then import it in Encore.
your suggestion for H264 seems good and will try it.
x264 Pro is for CS5 and above versions, so it seems i can not use it and have to manage with Adobe Media Encoder's default. Hope i will not have any major technical issues.
please suggest me for below:-
1) i have 4 hours of Full HD footage and made 1080i MPEG2 files of 30mbps to fit in 2 seperate Bluray Disks.
2) now i plan to put all in one Single Bluray Disk by reducing MPEG2 file average data rate to 15mbps. will that work or is there any limitation of time in Bluray Disk.
3) Will it be ok to create H264 files at 30mbps [as you mentioned H264 reduces file size to half of MPEG] and still be able to fit 4 hours footage in one BR Disk ?
4) even though i specify Min 10 Target 25 Max 30 data rate for MPEG files creation, it creats file at data rate of 30 mbps, can you explain why it is happening as i thought my target rate should be 25 mbps and not the maximum rate specified.

my source file is .mov 1920 x 1080i 29.97 fps from Canon 6D. first i tried to create progressive file in Encoder but while imported in Encore realised at 29.97 fps, it allows only interlaced file and had to transcode back to interlaced. so i stick to interlaced file.
Canon 6D also allows me to shoot in 24fps [motion movie] which Encore can handle as progressive file for authoring. What are the pro and cons of shooting in 24fps, if you can suggest.

Problem in Creating Source Files (Templates) for Original Application Files

I am trying to ccreate "Source Files (Templates) for Original Application Files" . I checked the link

I created a new DOc. type TMP with no statuses, checked in KPO, assigned no. ranges.
Created DIR & assigned the template file, checked into storage category. DIR no. 10000000390 created.
In Workstation application "DOX" in define templates for originals : doc. type: ZGA, application: DOX; language- EN; no - 01; In source doc- entered doc. type- TMP, doc. no.- 10000000390, part & version
Assigned for required source file copy" ZGA doc. type. -- Default Appl. as "DOX" workstation application.
Now created a DIR with ZGA doc. type, when clicking on originals , DOX prompted and clicking on "create with template" . TMP doc. 10000000390 template open in a new window. I edited & saved. close the MS word window. When comes to DIR, it prompted, Original was changed Do you want to save the original?.
clicked on yes.
Saved the ZGA DIR. When I saw the new ZGA DIR created it didn't capture. Where I went wrong ?

Following messages if you read, it may be clear.
By having templates in place we can utilize the pre-defined documents instead creating right from scratch.
Entries can be done in the Template and save the document.
Templates are used for standardization and uniformity. By using templates time consumption for creation of documents will reduce as most of the details are maintained in the master template and the same can be utilize by using the template when creating documents.
If in DMS editing functionality is not there what is the use of templates- documentation?

Cannot compile source file with Ctrl-F7 in VS 2008

I have added an existing .cpp file to my project. When I want to compile
only one file, I usually press Ctrl-F7, but that does not work on this file (it works on some other source files). When I pull down the Build menu, the Compile option is missing, like it is when a header
(*.h) file is active.
When I right-click on the source file in the Solution Explorer, the context menu shows "Compile\tCtrl+F7"; I can compile a single source file that way, but Ctrl-F7 is so much easier and faster.
I have tried resetting the keyboard shortcut, resetting the profile to the original C/C++ profile, and closing and reopening Visual Studio, but nothing corrected the issue.
It feels like VS is not recognizing that my source file is a C++ file, despite its name (something.cpp). Why has this started happening, and how can I get the shortcut (and Build menu) to reset?

This happens in the following way. You manually create a new C++ class in an existing project using the editor in VC++. You then (with the editor still open) add the file to your project. Visual Studio finds your class info
and adds it intellisense, making it seem as though VC++ knows your file is in the project. However, it does not and ctrl f7 will therefore not work. Removing and adding the file does not help...unless you close the editor window...in which
case VC++ will correctly add the file if you remove and add it to your project.
This is not an uncommon way to create a new class - one does not always use the VC++ create class option. The manual creation method may be preferable if you are not using automated features from VC++ and instead want to copy some code
from another file, headers for example. My view is that this is a VC++ bug that should be repaired; apparently VC++ thinks the file is already included if it is open in the editor rather than checking its file list. But it is easy
to work around once you know what is happening.

How to sort source file beforfe mapping

Dear all,
Its a file (fixed length) to Idoc(FIDCC1) scenario.
Source file has the following fields:
Date
Account
Cost Center
Debit Amount
Credit Amount
Etablissement
The mapping requirement is:
1. Per 'Etablissment' code, an Idoc(FIDCCP01) has to be generated.
2. Per IDOC, segment E1F1SEG has to be created for each line in flat file, for their respective etablissment code.
Per line in the flat file the difference between the debit and credit amount is the amount that has to be posted per segment (posted amount is always positive). If zero no segment is created
3. Date and Account fields would go into fields in segment E1FIKPF, this segment will not repeat, there'll be only one segement per idoc (like header data)
Now the issue is:
The source file is not sorted per etablissment code.
Etablissment can has value 001 in 1st and 3rd record and 002 in 2rd and 4th record. in this case, We need to create 2 idocs, 1 for code 001 and another for 002. Each IDOC should have 2 segments of E1FISEG, corresponsding to their etablissment code.
then for each idoc, the first record details should go to E1FIKPF segment of idoc.
I could create Idoc based on code, by the following mapping,
Etablissmentcode -> remove context -> sort -> split by value (value changed) -> collapse context -> IDOC
But i'm cluless as to how to go about with the logic of E1FISEG segment creation and populating other fields of E1FIKPF.
Please help me out. Is it achievable thruogh graphical mapping?

Etablissement>sort>splitbyvalue(value change)>collapse contextIDOC
2. to create as many segment as of number of line item
Etablissement>sort>splitbyvalue(value change)-segment
3. foe each element under the segment
Etablissement>sort bye key>splitbyvale(each value)--> corresponding account at IDOC

Issue in Creation of XML file from ABAP data

Iu2019m using the call transformation to convert ABAP data to XML file.
So please anybody can help how to define XML structure in transaction XSLT_TOOL.
And one more thing, here I need to put the condition to display the Header 3, Header 4, Header 5 values. If there is no record for a particular line item in header 3, 4 & 5, I donu2019t want to display full line items; this is only for Header 3, 4 & 5.
Please help me in this to get it resolved.

you can use CALL TRANSFORMATION id, which will create a exact "print" of the ABAP data into the XML.
If you need to change the structure of XML, you can alter your ABAP structure to match the requirements.
Of course you can create your own XSLT but that is not that easy to describe and nobody will do that for you around here. If you would like to start with XSLT, you´d better start the search.

Generate xml source file for Oracle Order Capture Print Quote

Hi,
I am new to xml and need to work on creating templates for Print Quote.
I am trying to generate the xml source file for which I enabled the report in system administrator and set the output to XML and assigned to Quoting Reports responsiblity. I then assigned XML Report Publisher to the same responsiblity.
I ran the report (Print Quote) and then I am trying to run the XML Report Publisher but I cannot get the request id in the list of values.
I am able to generate xml source file for other reports like Printed Purchase Order etc.,
The view output for the (Print Quote) report is as follows:

<ASOPQTER />
How do I get the xml source file? Or are there seeded templates that I can use to create more templates? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ravi

Hi, I am in the same position - did this issue ever ger resolved by anyone. I have done a few XMLP reports successfully now using the Word add-in, but customising the Quote output differs from other standard reports.
If you look at the data definition for Quote it is a 'dummy' definition and has no XML file attached. Does anyone know how I can get the XML format for the report output?
Also the template uses XSL-FO ?!?!?! rather than RTF - not sure how to work with this, the Oracle docs are not very helpful in this regard either.
Has anyone successfully managed to customise the Quote print report? Many thanks,

I can no longer view source files in Firefox 6. This is very important for my job as an SEO consultant.

Under View I can no longer read the Source files for a webpage. As an SEO consultant this is vital for my work. Please can you restore this feature for FireFox 6.

You can also use these shortkeys:
* Web Console -> CTRL + SHIFT + K
* Scratchpad -> SHIFT + F4
* View Page Source -> CTRL + U
* Error Console -> CTRL + SHIFT + J
Check and tell if its working.

In trying to update I received this message: Firefox 3.6.3(2).dmg.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

In trying to download an update I first received: "There were problems checking for, downloading, or installing this update. Firefox could not be updated because: No data was received (please try again)" It also gave a link to download manually. When I tried from the Firefox website I got: /Users/(deleted for privacy)/Desktop/Firefox 3.6.3(2).dmg.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
Try again later, or contact the server administrator. I tried this 3 times.

Issue in creation of load file.

I am trying to create a simple load rule file using Parent Child method in Sample.Basic.
I am doing it for Product dimension.
I loaded the file but whenever i go into "+Dimension Build Settings -> Dimension Build Settings+" and set the below values:
Dimension : Product
Build method : Use parent/child references
the below parameter automatically changes.
Dimension : Year.
Rest of the values are saved as i set them, including the field properties. Any idea why the it changes to "Year".
When i click on "Validate" it throws the error/warning:
"+There is an unknown member (or no member) in the field name+"
Any help is highly appreciated and let me know if you need any other details from my end.

While Creating a dimension using Rule files check these steps:
1. Select the Dimension build icon
2. Go to Option---> Dimension build settings--> Dimension definition tab--> Select Rule file Radio button-->Type your dimension name { Ex: Product }--> Press Enter--> ok
3. Go to Option--> Data Source Properties --> Header tab --> Select the no. of lines to Skip
4. File ---> open file --->
5. Select the Field 1 --> Go to option --> Dimension Settings --> Select your Dimension first --> Then select your Build Method(Generation/ Parent & Child / Level reference) [If you select Generation reference then Give the generation number how it should create in the outline/ If Parent and child the Generation to all members should be "0"/ If level reference then base on the level to be built in the outline give the numbering]
6. Continue step 5 for all feilds.
7. Associate and validate the outline.
8. Save the Rule file --> Close the rule file editor
9. Go to Outline in the menu bar --> Update outline --> select your source file and select your rule file --> Clik on OK

Error in creation of source system

Hi there,
if you get the error again, please go tcode su53 directly and see for which object the authorization is missing. I understand you have SAP_ALL access but for any authorization issue we normally go to SU53 tcode and verfiy.
So once you get the object name then go to SU01 and open your id. Go to authorization tab and find for that object and see if '03' activity is assigned to you or not.
If this step is absolutely fine then we can think of alternative solution.

Windows Easy Transfer (WET) Issues with External Hard Drive - "Can't read from the source file or disk"

I work for Office Depot, in the tech department. Basically, one of our associates was supposed to do a data backup, and re-install Windows 7, then transfer the files back. He used Windows Easy Transfer and compacted everything into a 163 GB file.
Now comes the hard part. When we try to put it back on his computer ((drag-and-drop to the desktop) which has been wiped back to factory settings using the recovery partition), it stops at 79.5 GB remaining (you know how it doesn't give you a % of completion,
it just shows how many GB are remaining) and then says "Can't read from the source file or disk" and gives you an option to try again, or cancel. It gets hung up on the same point each time.
Normally, this wouldn't be a huge issue, but the contents on the drive are his wife's architect blueprints and interior design stuff, along with wedding photos, etc, which are the only copies they have. On top of those, they have court documents and other
important files that we are unable to access now.
I wasn't involved with this transfer, so I'm trying to clean up the mess as best I can. I remembered that the customer's wife was Russian, and had some files typed with a Russian keyboard, so on and so forth. I wonder if that's the issue? If not, I really
have no idea how to manually extract things from a ".mig" file, or how to diagnose what area is potentially corrupted.
In light of this situation, we tried using "Recuva" to recover the files post-wipe, but everything was corrupted or unable to be opened, and it also extracted and recovered all of the "useless" photos, such as the skype logos, up and
down arrows for browsers, etc (it was 160,000+ photos).
Trying to avoid a potential lawsuit, unhappy customer, and costing the company lots of money to see if professionals can get into this external hard drive.
Other relevant information:
We used a Toshiba 500 GB (465 GB) external hard drive.
Customer's computer is an HP Pavilion P6000 Series (Model No. p6520y) running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1.
Any other information that is needed can be provided, thanks in advance, and hopefully we can find a solution to this issue quickly!

Unplug from new, head back to new, plug it back in? That doesn't make much sense! Haha.
I knew what you meant though, somewhat. When I search through the drives after clicking yes (Has windows easy transfer
already saved your files blah blah blah) I click on the transfer file and it says "Windows Easy Transfer could not open the file".
Rather than drag-and-drop the file to the desktop, I now tried to double-click on the file itself while it was plugged
into the computer. It opened, and it started transferring until it was about 70% completed, and then an error popped up saying "WET can't open the easy transfer file, make sure your USB device is plugged in or check your internet connection".
I checked, and the USB hard drive's light wasn't on. Now, I unplug it and plug it back in, and the light comes back on,
so I click Retry, and it resets the bar back to nothing and says "Transfer time: 1 minute".
Rather than continue trying, I clicked "Cancel" instead of Retry, and it says "Your transfer did not complete successfully."
It says to click "view report" for more information, but there's no "view report button".
At the moment, I am scanning the External Drive for bad sectors using the check disk tool in properties. It's frozen
at "0 USN bytes processed".
