Creative Cloud Business Catalyst

On my cloud account side panel Creative Cloud Business Catalyst is asking me to upgrade a plan. I am supposed to have up to 5 sites! Please help.

Business Catalyst and Dreamweaver and Creative Cloud was all just a big joke on you....  Me too!  I have a $2000 BC Premium account and can't even use it with Creative Cloud. It forced me to sign up for a new BC account with no features at all.  Total Crap!

  • How to remove .dwt templates from Creative Cloud Business Catalyst site?

    Hi,
I've created a site in Dreamweaver using one of my free creative cloud sites.  There is a site structure automatically in place that is using the .dwt Dreamweaver templates with editable regions.  I've found this is really impairing my workflow and I would like to convert the site to just using regular .html templates without editable regions.
When I try to upload a template file with a .html extension via SFTP I get a permissions error.  I haven't found any other way around this either.
Can someone help me convert the site from using .dwt templates to using .html templates without editable regions?
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Hi Jeff,
All files including templates on BC are .html based. IF you have .dwt files on there it is because you did not go through the DW BC tool or extension(older DW) and just uploaded them. Delete them - BC does not use them if you have those on the host.
In terms of just directly uploading you need to ensure two things with templates.
    1. The folder locally is EXACTLY the same spelling and capitalisation as the host.
    2. The html file template HAS TO HAVE {tag_pagecontent} there to be classed as a template.
I think 2 may be your issue?

  • Must i uninstall premier pro trial version before i can use the premiere pro ii just bought under the creative cloud business package?

I had the trial for premier pro. It expired and yesterday I bought the creative cloud business package.
In the creative cloud desktop app, under premier pro, it says trial expired, and the only option across from it, is to buy. But I already bought the package yesterday, why doesn't it say download or install?
If I click premier pro it takes me to a box looking for a redemption code? Do I need a redemption code,, if so how to I get one, was it emailed to me?
Should I uninstall the premier pro I have on the computer at the moment, before I can download the one I just bought? As next to premier pro in manage application it gives an option to uninstall.. I thought it could just unlock the version I have rather then needing to uninstall it and download it again?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, please
    thank you
    derek

    Hi Derek,
I can see that you have purchased Creative Cloud for Teams subscription. You will need to invite and accept the invite before you can carry on using the product as a ful version. I can also see that you have sent the invitation to an email address but that invitation has not yet been accepted . If thats the same email address you wish to use , kindly accept the invitation and use the same email address to login to your Creative Cloud Desktop application.

  • The end of my Creative Cloud/Business account would be the end of my account at Behance?

Hi There!! I'm a bit worried cuz I just get started at behance and I linked my business account (with the company email and so on) to my new account at behance. And I was wondering, If I stop working for this company, and lose my email and the Adobe account and all, would I lose my behance profile with all my updated projects there? Should I create a separate account? (and where? behance? adobe?) I'm kinda lost..
    Thanks in advance!!

what apps are on it? maybe reinstalling them one day at a time could lead you to which one is doing it.

  • Business Catalyst Pricing

Hi Adobe .. First, let me say that I L-O-V-E Business Catalyst and Muse. As a 21-year graphic design professional that was forced into learning code (yuk), Muse has set my creativity free and I now absolutely love designing web sites. I have a Creative Cloud subscription, and I like that I have five sites I can host through Business Catalyst. That's great ... BUT ...
This morning, I decided to use BC hosting for the first time (instead of GoDaddy), and was shocked that none of the sites that come with my Creative Cloud/Business Catalyst subscription includes email. NOT ONE EMAIL ADDRESS IS INCLUDED??! In order to include email in any of the five sites hosted through Business Catalyst, I have to pay an additional $12.21 a month.
Surely, Adobe is smart enought to recognize that Muse designers will want to use Business Catalyst as the hosting hub for all their clients, but Adobe is NOT smart enought to recognize that you have priced yourself out of the market entirely??? GoDaddy offers hosting for $5.99 a month, and the monthly charge has been on sale for $2.99. This GoDaddy hosting plan includes as many email addresses as you want. Why would I go with Business Catalyst and pay four times as much?
Sriously Adobe, please research your competitors pricing, and make your prices competitive!! I would love to use Muse and Business Catalyst exclusively for all my clients and hosting, but I'm not going to pay 4 times more than I need to. Why would I?

    Hey cloudnine--
While Liam's post was generally condescending in it's tone, I think he has a valid point.  From a web professional's point of view, Muse is a great starting point for graphic designers coming to the web.  It's a great tool for a creative department to quickly generate working prototypes that are close to a professional website.
However, there's A LOT more that goes into designing and developing for the web that you need to know about for production-quality websites. Namely, advanced CSS authoring, cross-browser restraints and semantic HTML markup for the benefit of search engines.  Not to mention responsive design, image optimization, code minification and other skills required for the "mobile-first" approach which places a heavy focus on reducing network connections and bandwidth. "Mobile-first", responsive design for all screen sizes is the future.
I, too, have seen very impressive Muse sites but many of them feature 1mb, full-color, full sized PNG images all over the place-- slowing the site to a crawl. Sometimes, if people continue to use Muse and Dreamweaver's authoring techniques they miss out on the bigger picture of how to appropriately use stylesheets and write markup that search engines will eat up.
Using Muse and Dreamweaver are great for designers who are wanting to learn to code but I too would recommend getting outside of both those programs on occasion to flex your muscles.  You can create a great website with Notepad, an FTP client and a graphics program like  Photoshop, Fireworks or even the free GIMP.
A great tool I show people so they can play with markup and styles is http://scratchpad.io.  Peep it.
I believe there is a place for us all to coexist and some designer's code authoring levels are different.  BC and Muse are a great place for graphic designers publish websites using the Adobe authoring tools but to produce a standards-compliant, feature-rich website you'll eventually need to learn the best practices for HTML/CSS/Javascript.
You're right how most of us web professionals have crappy websites. Mine is too but that's usually because our paying work takes precedence.
Finally, don't get discouraged on this board.  There are lots of opinions and Liam is mostly harmless.  I think he just types too fast and his head moves faster than his fingers so sometimes his grammar is off but he means well and is one of the most active forum users here for BC.
    Best,
    Chris

  • Creative Cloud year purchasing option

    Hello
I am an Instructor of Digital Design at York Technical College in South Carolina. I really like the Creative Cloud/Business Catalyst service and would like my students to participate. I have roughly 25-30 students every year and most of them finance their eduction with some type of Financial Aid which is either distributed in a lump sum to the school or divided out for course books and supplies.
In order for my students to sign up for the Creative Cloud service and use their Financial Aid award we would need an option to pay the full year up front.
      Is this an option?

Adobe does not directly sell one-year payment cards. You can purchase a one-year card for a student/teacher from Amazon by searching for "Creative Cloud".

  • Unable to login to Business Catalyst

I have followed Terry White's instructions on using MUSE to create a sample web page and upload that to the Creative Cloud business catalyst website.  (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/tutorials/video/publish-lightroom-web-galleries-cre ative.html) That all worked, but I am unable to upload a lightroom gallery using his instructions.
I get FTP Transfer Failed with message 'an unknown error occurred'.
I can manually upload the files using FileZilla client so I know I can SFTP to the site with my credentials as well as login to the manager console and perform updates through MUSE.
I AM using the format of jenglephoto.businesscatalyst.com for server & jenglephoto.businesscatalyst.com/[email protected] and my Adobe/Business catalyst password, SFTP & port 22 (same settings as FileZilla).
Thanks for any assistance.  Anyone have this working through Lightroom 5 (64-bit Windows 7)?
    JenglePHOTO

I am having the exact same problem after watching the exact same video from Terry White. AND I can also SFTP using Filezilla. I haven't tried to perform updates through MUSE, but the point is Lightroom doesn't work as propoted.
I am currently waiting for a "live chat" to start, been waiting an hour or so..... If I find an answer, I'll post it.
Apparently no one from Adobe watches these forums.

  • Transfer paid webMarketing site to another Business Catalyst account

I signed up for a personal Creative/Cloud account then created a webMarketing site for the company I work for (paid for by the company). I am no longer working for this company and need to transfer their site to their own Creative Cloud/Business Catalyst account. Is there a way to do this? Or is there a way to change the Adobe ID/email address under my account and assign it to theirs... then I would create another Creative Cloud account for myself? Please help!
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi stacycroft,
For information on how to transfer a Business Catalyst site between partners, please refer to the following article: http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/partner-portal/transferring-sites-partners.html.

  • Using the included business catalyst space

With full Adobe Create Cloud membership I get 5 websites from Business Catalyst included.
    Cool!
But what if I am not interested in the Adobe CMS tools, and want to install say a Wordpress of Drupal webiste in this Business Catalyst space (this 20GB of space and five websitges offered): is this possible?
(This should be possible as we developers should be allowed to use the tools/platforms that we want to use.)
    Thnks
    David Millner — boldset.com

Hi again! Let me try to answer the questions you have remaining...
the Adobe creative cloud dashboard bears no resemblance to the dashboard as shown in the Wordpress import article you cite above
The article I referred you to does not include Creative Cloud in the workflow. You would be logging into Business Catalyst with your Creative Cloud membership login information, and creating your website from within the BC platform. I have never had any personal experience importing a Wordpress blog to Business Catalyst, so the folks over at the Business Catalyst forum can probably be able give you much more comprehensive help.
could it be that, whilst Creative Cloud indeed comes with free web hosting for 5 sites, these are for just your WebBasics version (i.e. Creative Cloud comes with free web hosting for 5 WebBasics sites)
Correct. The Creative Cloud memberhsip includes free web hosting for 5 sites through Business Catalyst that operate under the WebBasics subscription level, as outlined here.
if so, where is this explicitly stated in your documentation?
From the Adobe Creative Cloud product page: "Your Adobe Creative Cloud membership includes hosting for up to five Business Catalyst webBasics sites."
I hope I was able to clear up things up for you. You might want to check out this FAQ post for some more information about Creative Cloud + Business Catalyst.
    Cheers!

  • Business Catalyst help

What information do I need to push a site live? I'd like to make sure I have the information I need before I do it.

In order to redeem your free Creative Cloud Business Catalyst sites, simply login to the site admin and hit the Push Site Live button on the Dashboard. I believe you have published the site through Muse, the documentation here can be helpful - http://www.adobekb.com/launching_pt01.html#pushingasitelive

  • Creative cloud in Croatia

I would like to purchase Adobe cloud with all including softwares.
I live and work in Croatia.
Can I do it, because I dont see Croatia in supported countries list?
And if not when will it be possible?

The web hosting features included in Creative Cloud, Business Catalyst and TypeKit can be purchased separately.

  • No Creative Cloud in Croatia - need help with choices

    HI everyone,
I've been working in varous agencies all my work life so I never really bothered with software purhcases, but now that I'm about to open my own small one-man company, I have some tough choices in front of me.
I create newspapers and magazines (paper-based designs), but I started fiddling with web design and I'm really excited about the prospect of offering my clients mobile and tablet publications.
When I saw Creative Cloud I was really excited because it:
    a) offers me a reasonable monthly subscription fee
    b) offers help with hosting and distribution of e-content
Unfortunately, Creative Cloud is not available in Croatia, so I'm thinking about purchasing Design Standard (short on cash, hm).
If I do that, I'm not sure if I'll be able to use all the nifty web-based features of Creative Cloud in the future, except if I purchase both Design Standard Now, and sign a 1-year Contract for the Cloud once it becomes available in Croatia.
Is there a way to combine Creative Cloud web solutions (not talking about software, but rather storage, web hosting, fonts etc.) with purchaing a regular CS6 Design Standard licence?

The web hosting features included in Creative Cloud, Business Catalyst and TypeKit can be purchased separately.

  • Creative Cloud and existing Business Catalyst partners - FAQ

This FAQ will cover topics related to Creative Cloud, for existing Business Catalyst users.
How can I signup for Creative Cloud?
Your Business Catalyst account should have been already updated right now with your Adobe ID. If you haven’t updated it yet, visit the Adobe ID – Business Catalyst account update FAQ.
What benefits do I get with Creative Cloud ?
In addition to acccess to all Creative Suite programs, Lightroom and others in one place, a Creative Cloud membership enables you to host up to five Business Catalyst websites. These sites will be webBasics sites. For a full comparison between plans, see this page. If you purchase Muse or Dreamweaver as individual products in Creative Cloud, you can host one Business Catalyst website for each of them.
My web design shop has several employees, each with their own Business Catalyst login with access our Partner Portal. Do we need Adobe IDs for each of our employees?
Yes. Since these users are partner users, they need to use an Adobe ID. Visit the Adobe ID – Business Catalyst account update FAQ for more details
I have a paid website that I want to host using my Creative Cloud subscription. Can I do this?
This is not possible. You need to create a new webBasics temporary website in Business Catalyst and push it live.
Can I move a trial/live Creative Cloud site under a different Creative Cloud subscription?
This is not possible right now.
Do I get any discount if I upgrade a Creative Cloud website to a higher Business Catalyst plan such as webMarketing or webCommerce?
Currently there are no upgrade discounts for Creative Cloud members.
What are the limitations of the webBasics websites that come with Business Catalyst and Creative Cloud membership?
You will be limited to 100 MB of storage and 1 additional user (such as your customer). You will not get email, SMS or newsletters for this web plan.
Can I buy more users? Can I buy more space? Can I buy email?
We are working on creating this workflow but at this point we don’t have an exact release date for this feature.
How can I upgrade the webBasics websites that come with Creative Cloud to a higher Business Catalyst plan?
We are working on creating this workflow but at this point we don’t have an exact release date for this feature.
Do I get any discount for purchasing more websites if I am a Creative Cloud subscriber?
Right now there is no discount for Creative Cloud members.
If I am an existing Paid Partner and I have a few employees for whom I paid Creative Cloud subscriptions, how many websites can I claim?
You will have 5 websites for each employee. However, you will pay different licenses for all of them. Before purchasing these licenses, please contact Adobe Support to add these users to your partner portal. After you have added users to your partner portal, you will be able to access all the websites from it.
*NOTE: If you have already add employees to your partner portal, then everything will work automatically.
If you don’t want to access all your websites from the same Partner Portal, you don’t have to do anything.
How can I set permissions for my employees regarding these websites? What permissions can I set?
This will be part of a later Creative Cloud that will be launched this year.
What happens if I cancel or stop paying my Creative Cloud subscription?
Each live website (among the free websites under your Creative Cloud subscription) will stay live for an additional 30 days. This gives you time to decide whether you want to keep the site(s) live or remove them.  You will be prompted to upgrade your website to a regular Business Catalyst site plan.
After 30 days, your website will enter in temporary mode. When entering the temporary mode, your custom domain name will be removed from the website. In order to reactivate it, pay for your website directly with Business Catalyst.
If you are inactive on a temporary website, it will automatically be deleted.
    === Dreamweaver CS6 FAQ ===
I have logged in on Dreamweaver CS6 and I cannot see my partner site. How can I edit it?
This is a known issue. For paid partners (Standard or Premium) you can use the workaround described below:
export one of your sites as an .ste file
Open the .ste file in another text editor, and modify it
    Replace the :
httpaddress with your partner's site URL address
secureURL with your partner site secure URL
siteid with the site ID of your partner site
Save the .ste file with another name
Import this .ste file into Dreamwaver, choose a local root folder
Please take a look at Brad's blog post here for more detailed steps on how to import your partner site in Dreamweaver.
I'm trying to login to Dreamweaver CS6 with my Business Catalyst credentials, and it doesn't work. What credentials do I need?
You can login to Dreamweaver CS6 with your Adobe ID. If you haven't merged your BC account with an Adobe ID account, you'll need to merge it and then you should be able to login.
How do I access sites in Dreamweaver with an Adobe ID other than the one linked to my Creative Cloud or Dreamweaver subscription?
Dreamweaver defaults to using the Adobe ID from your subscription to avoid the inconvenience of logging in multiple times. To use a different ID, just click the "Logout" button in the lower-right hand corner of the Business Catalyst panel and log in with a different Adobe ID:
You'll need to have a file open in an existing BC site for the "Logout" button to be visible. Logging out will not affect the Adobe ID used in conjunction with your Dreamweaver subscription. To change the Adobe ID for your subscription, click Help -> Deactivate.

At this point the upgrade workflow is not functional just yet, as mentioned here: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2153
So the webBasics Creative Cloud cannot be upgraded directly  to the webBasics+ level for now.
But a workaround for this case would be to re-publish your Dreamweaver/Muse project (I suppose you've used one of these solutions to build the site in the first place, right?) in a new trial/temporary site  -> let us know what is the URL of that site (don't push it live) -> we will change the site plan from our backend to webBasics+ -> you will be able to publish it using the webBasics+ site plan.
Please note that this is going to be a separate charge, besides your Creative Cloud subscription. The monthly fee for webBasics+ will be $12.21/month, as mentioned here: http://www.adobe.com/products/business-catalyst/buying-guide-subscriptions.html
Another way to use the webBasics+ plan would be to simply trigger a new trial site here: https://syd.worldsecuresystems.com/PartnerPortal/FreeTrialSignup.aspx#splash with the same Adobe ID as the one used to buy the Creative Cloud subscription and  take that site live separately.

  • How do I link my Creative Cloud account with Business Catalyst Web Hosting service?

    Hello,
I'm having difficulty understanding how to access the Business Catalyst service. I have attempted to log in directly to businesscatalyst.com/admin but continue to receive an error login message stating that my username and password are not recognized. I was not able to create a new business catalyst website via Dreamweaver either, despite having successfully logged into my Adobe Cloud account.
The only way I was able to set-up a website for use with Business Catalyst was by logging in via http://www.adobe.com/products/business-catalyst.html, and pressing the "try now" button, which allowed me to create a demo site. This also allowed me to log into BC, but when I attempted to upgrade the site from a trial to the webbasic service, I am asked for a payment method.
I understand that the creative cloud service includes basic web hosting for up to 5 sites and should work seamlessly with DW or Muse, or using the InContext editing options provided via browser, but I am unable to truly access any of this content. Am I doing something wrong here?
    Thank you

Please approach our support and supply them with your Adobe ID and the site URL you want to take live and they will do this for you in couple of minutes.
    Cheers,
