Creative cloud updates always FAIL. i have tried everything in the forum short of uninstalling all my software--which will take too long. HELP i have very very very frustrated and am spending a lot of money for the pleasure.

I don't want to start a discussion. i need help. from an adobe tech support. please.
i have followed the suggestions of dealing with a failed update and nothing works.
this is high frustrating.
i repeat: I DON'T NEED HELP FROM OTHER USERS. I WANT A TECH SUPPORT PERSON FROM ADOBE.

Barbarajones what specific errors are you receiving when you try to apply the update?  Do you receive any specific errors?  What update are you trying to apply?

    Unable to check. Once you click "update" it uninstalls creative cloud so you cannot try the update again. Was using administrator account with Kaspersky active when I tried it last and failed to install. Next Creative Cloud update I can try to check with Kaspersky disabled.
    On a related note, trying to find the download link on your site for Creative cloud is quite counter intuitive. If you click on the menu and click creative cloud (while already logged in) it takes you to a page to "Start a trial" or "select a plan", and not download the actual program. If you click on the desktop apps, all the programs are listed but creative cloud is not. I have better luck Googling to find the legitimate download link than using the site navigation to find it. I finally bookmarked the page so I can find it faster next time I run into Error 50. Could you please pass that on to the web team?
    I only mention it as every time I have updated I have ended up with CC uninstalled and then I have to dig through the site every time to try to find the correct download location. After having it occur so many times, it gets old, which is why I finally posted.

  • Creative Cloud Update Windows Fails

    The application downloads the update file then appears to begin installation. When launching either the installation or the CC application, it shuts down and I am prompted to update again. This happens repeatedly. I have tried rebooting the PC but get the same result.

    Perhaps I wasn't clear... The Creative Cloud desktop application is the only thing not updating, here. My issue has nothing to do with my system freezing.
    Creative Cloud app alerts me of a pending update. I click on 'update" in the alert window of Creative Cloud. The progress bar indicates download of the necessary file(s), then displays "Launching...". Creative Cloud app attempts to open then minimizes back to the system tray, displaying an alert that an update is pending.
    Then the whole thing begins again with the same result.

    This is a common issue.  Temporarily disable the Anti-Virus and Firewall software on the computer.

    Hello!
    I started to render a pretty easy animation 13 days ago.
    The animation is 4.30 minutes long, and there's no 3d involved. Only illustrations from Illustrator and some textures.
    After these 13  days of rendering, and finishing 4 minutes, it felt like crashing. So it did.
    This animation is for Belgian television (broadcasting time is soon), along with 20 more, so I am in deep deep trouble.
    I use my mac pro, from a seagate hard drive.

    I agree, something is very wrong with your scene or setup. I would recommend the following actions:
    1. Make a RAM preview in After Effects, in full resolution. If you have layers with frame blending or motion blur, make sure to enable the frame blending and motion blur boxes in the top of the timeline so that it shows up in the preview. Also, check the Preview settings window and make sure that no frames are skipped and that it renders in full resolution.
    If the RAM preview is rendered as slowly as your final render, then the problem is inside of after effects or with your source files. If the RAM preview is a lot faster than the rendering, the problem is likely in the codec or Adobe Media Encoder (if you render through AMC that is).
    2A: IF your RAM preview is extremely slow, try hiding the layers one by one and making more RAM previews to locate problematic source files.
    2B: If the RAM preview worked fine, try to render into a different, lossless format – like an uncompressed quicktime or avi file or a quicktime animation with max quality – directly from after effects (In the top menu: Composition/Add to render queue, where you'll likely find some lossless preset). Make sure you have A LOT of free hard drive space before rendering. If this rendering works fine you are left with a lossless file that can be compressed to the apple prores hq-format in any compatible software. For example, you can try opening the file in Premiere and render the Prores from there. With a google search you will probably find lots of ways to render Apple Prores files.
    You could also check the resolution of both your main composition and your pre-comps. Avoid using unnecessarily high resolutions, it will only slow things down.
    Restarting your computer to clear RAM memory and close eventual bugging processes could also be a good idea.

    Creative Cloud update fails with "the download appears to be corrupted" when tried through our company's firewall, but succeeds if the computer is taken outside the firewall. The IT guys have opened up the ports and URL's specified in the Adobe documentation.  I have also captured the network traffic of both the failed and successful downloads for IT to examine (using Little Snitch), however they can find nothing to account for the problem.  Adobe just seems to "give up and die" after about 2-3 minutes.  Why is this?  How can I or IT fix this?
    Can I send the above log files to someone familiar with these issues for examination?

    Why is the download process for Adobe Creative Cloud updates and initial installations so slow? I can download and update other software from other providers almost an order of magnitude faster. This slow download problem has been present since I started using Creative Cloud soon after it was initially offered.
    Adobe customer support maintains that there is no throttling at Adobe's end, and that no one has complained about this problem -- this forum shows the latter not to be true.
    What is the problem?

    I don't think I've ever checked the download speed but the installers are definitely large files, many several GB. It might seem longer because the download immediately progresses into the installation at 50%

  • Creative Cloud is always empty and I cannot update LR and PS and cannot open RAW files from my new camera!

    My Creative Cloud is always empty.  I've had this trouble for over a year.  I cannot update Lightroom because of it and Photoshop does not update properly.  I cannot open the RAW files from my new camera, a Nikon D750.  Each time I want to update, I have to talk to you and delete things and reinstall things but it doesn't fix it properly!
    I have contacted Adobe before and always have to go through a tedious delete stuff and reinstall, then next time it happens all over again.
    I'm really fed up with it and want to know how to fix it properly.  I am in the UK, if that makes any difference.

  • The Apps window in my Creative Cloud updater is only showing a spinning blue wheel

    I've just updated my app installer to the latest Creative Cloud one but when I open it up, the Apps window only shows a spinning blue wheel, no apps. The other windows (Assets, Community) seem fine.@

    I faced the same problem and hours of searching peoples various solutions. Tried everything under the sun over the last 10 hours to get the Creative Cloud Apps to stop spinning it's blue wheel... and FINALLY I have managed to get this to work for me, using the CC Cleaner tool. Hopefully it works for others also:
    Solution 2: Run the CC Cleaner tool
    Run the CC Cleaner tool to remove the current installation of the Creative Cloud Desktop application. For information on how to download and use the CC Cleaner Tool, see Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6.
    Choose option 3 within the CC Cleaner Tool and then Option 1.
    Mac OS: Rename the /Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE to OOBE.old.
    Windows: Rename the following OOBE folders to OOBE.old:
    \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
    \Users\\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

    I still don't know how to get CC to find that I have Photoshop CC installed, but running Creative Cloud, going to Preferences and signing out, then signing in again got Lightroom CC to work.
    Since Photoshop CC is still working despite apparently not being installed things are now OK, at least for the moment. But I'm not feeling at all happy with Adobe.
