Creative System Information with conflict with Nero Expr

Hi to all,
I noticed that I could not access the Creative System Information (CSI) in the Creative Products tab in the area of Creative software, anything under that. I was able to go to 40 software number but no to the information of each software. The CSI hanged or stopped responding. I needed to close the program. I found the cause of the problem. I encountered the problem so far only when I have Nero Express 6 or demo even Nero 5 installed. When I uninstalled that Nero program, I had access again to all the information under Creative software, 40 of them. It looks that there is conflict between Nero and CSI. Does anybody notice this too? What is going on and what is the solution? You help will be greatly appreciated.

Solution! I discovered the problem causing the system crash, and I think it is sufficiently interesting to note here so that others may benefit from what I discovered. First, there is no fundamental problem/conflict with the driver for Webcam Live Pro. The trouble in my instance is that I was running another program that utilized the web cam, and that program conflicted with the Webcam Live Pro program that was constantly running in the system tray. Basically, the program in the system tray is loaded with the set-up for Webcam Live Pro. It constantly monitors the computer system to see if the cam is connected to the computer. When it does this while another program is using the cam, the conflict occurs, causing the entire computer to reboot. The solution is to right mouse click the icon for Webcam Live Pro in the system tray, go to settings, and to remove the check that allows the program to check for the presence of the web cam. Just to be safe, I then also exited the Webcam Live Pro program from the system tray so that nothing from that program could interfere with my use of the webcam using another program.
The result is that the webcam is rock solid, with no system crashes. I have been running it nonstop for hours without a problem.

    I have problems with Creative System Information, specially when I go to Creative Products tab. There, I am able to go everywhere except Software. When I clicked there and click something there, then I try to go some other area there, the program hung. The program does not respond anymore. I downloaded the program in the Internet in the Creative support section. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it but that did not solve the problem.   • Retrieving Creative System Information and Software Autoupdate Iss

    Hello,
    I've been having a problem with a few things in my X-Fi Platinum software.
    First when I attempt to retrieve the System Information using the Creative tool, I get an MS error report stating a problem with ctsi.exe and as such I've been unable to send proper information to tech support, so I'm attempting here.
    Second whenever I attempt the Software Autoupdate I get another MS error report and the program closes down stating a problem with iexplore.exe . I get as far as installing the Acti've X controls, but shortly after installation the error report pops up and my browser closes down. I've attempted to remove the Acti've X controls and reinstall it but to no avail. I've un then reinstalled the software and drivers but with no hope towards this issue. I have reinstalled IE
    These features were working for me on my last configuration, however after changing motherboards when the previous died, it has come to an abrupt end. The previous motherboard was an older version from the newly installed. I am unable to determine if this is a mobo issue as the only problem I have with this system is certain aspects of the sound cards' software, and the mobo is the only change that has been made.
    My relevant system specs are as follows:
    Motherboard: Asus P4P800 SE
    CPU: 3.0 GHz Intel Pentium Prescott
    RAM: Gb Kingston
    Chipset: Intel 865PE, ICH5R
    OS: Windows Media Center 2005 Edition
    I have attempted a clean install of the operating system itself, installed all Windows updates aside from .NET Framework 2.0, and also reintalled Direct X.
    I looked into other trouble threads with no solution found although there may seem to be Asus issues, the only difference is a slightly different model, (previous motherboard was an Asus P4P800X and everything ran fine with the Creative software). These are the only two features that are not working for me, every other aspect runs perfectly fine. On my previous configuration, there were a few critical updates installed, however when searching the downloads section, those same updates are not available there. MCE and XP I understand are almost hand in hand, but would rather not use the wrong firmware or drivers by any means.
    I am at a loss, any help would be greatly appreciated including any relevant threads I may have overlooked. If any other information is needed to troubleshoot the issue, please let me know.

  • Distiller Error / Conflict with MainType

    Hello!
    I am getting an error window from Acrobat Distiller while using a font management program called MainType (www.High-Logic.com)
    I have attached a screen shot.
    Before the error window pops up, everything slows down to a crawl. It's just really annoying to have the error message pop up about every 5 minutes or so.  Is there a way to turn off or disable Distiller while I'm using MainType? If not, is there a setting I can change to fix this?

    We did nt maintain any rule group for customizing tab.Sap standard is showing as rule group.No details has been maintained.
    Alot of employees are having substitutions,most of the  approvers are able to approve leaves of the employees who are having substitutions.This is a peculiar case,where the approver is getting an error with conflict with substitutions.
    In R/3 we are getting a warning message and able to save the leave for this employee.
    Even i tried with other employees who are having the substitutions,system is behaving the same.
    Please advice me to resolve the problem.

    I feel you are using ASM but still check the below details:
    Cause
    Production and Auxiliary have same directory structure and are running on two different machines. RMAN must be told not check that the target datafiles are sharing the same names as the duplicated files being created. Otherwise, the following errors will be returned:

    We got a query on approval of leave from Portal. Could you please help me in resolving the issue.
    Manager was unable to approve the leave for one of his reportee on a specific date.
    The reportee applied for Casual leave for a half a day on 29.06.2011.Thje leave request has to come work list of the approver.
    When approver/manager tries to approve this leave for the reportee, system is throwing an error that u201CConflict with Substitutions (IT 2003/02) from 01.04.2010 to 31.12.9999.
    I have checked the IT 2003 for the reportee and found a record from the date 01.04.2010 to 31.12.9999.
    Why the system is throwing an error for the employee. Please share your idea to solve the problem.

  • Conflicts with Webroot Spy Sweeper

    I notice that some of the graphics don't load on either my IE
    or Mozilla browsers. I think I isolated it to the Webroot Spy
    Sweeper software I have installed, as when I disable it, it fixes
    the problem. I cannot find in the Webroot configurations on how to
    disable the problem in order to continue having this program
    monitor for spyware, etc. Has anyone else had any problems with
    conflicts with this program or other similar programs and how can I
    fix it without disabling all together?

    Maybe you should ask the Spy Sweeper users.
    But in fact you don't need no Spy Sweeper or any "on access"
    progz. The freewares should be fine. Just be careful (installing)
    and change browser till IE7 if you want to use IE.

    The software versions of the NI products (MAX/My System/Software) between my LTH and the iPC are
    almost the same. The only differences are:
    1. LabView Run-Time 2009 SP1 (64-bit); is installed on LTH but missing on iPC. The iPC has a 32-bit system.
    2. LabView Run-Time 2012 f3; is installed on LTH but missing on iPC.
    3. NI-DAQmx ADE Support 9.3.5; something strage on the LTH, because normally I am using NI-DAQmx 9.5.5 and all other DAQmx products on my LTH are 9.5.5. That means NI-DAQmx Device Driver 9.5.5 and NI-DAQmx Configuration 9.5.5.. On the iPC side all three products are 9.5.5.. That means NI-DAQmx ADE Support 9.5.5, NI-DAQmx Device Driver 9.5.5 and NI-DAQmx Configuration 9.5.5..
    4. Traditional NI-DAQ 7.4.4; The iPC has this SW installed. On the LTH this SW is missing.
    In order to fix this problem I have formatted my PXI and I have installed the following SW from the iPC:
    1. LabVIEW Real-Time 11.0.1
    2. NI-488.2 RT 3.0.0
    3. NI_CAN 2.7.3
    Unfortunately the above stated problem still arose.
    What can I do to fix this problem?

    There it is written to deploy the dbc file againt.
    If this is a good hint, so how do I deploy a dbc file?
    I would feel very pleased if somebody could help me! :-)

    Hi Lukas,
    I think the problem is caused by differenet drivers for the CAN communication.
    NI provides two driver for CAN: NI-CAN and NI-XNET.
    NI-CAN is the outdated driver which is not longer used by new hardware. NI replaced the NI-CAN driver with NI-XNET some years ago, which supports CAN, LIN and the FLEXRAY communication protocol.

    Now MacBook Pro 17" early 2011 built May onward do not have this problem it was fixed in the Intel's 6 Series Chipset. (So there is a problem). Cam I have my MacBook Pro fixed please.

    After biting the bullet and ordering more RAM, my computer now is working a ton better. So that must have been the main issue. With 8 GB RAM, I can now even run Parallels fluidly (better than my work PC!) where before simple things like logging in to my MBP after reboot could take forever.
    The place I went to had several other people getting RAM upgrades at the same time as me, so between this and other comments I've seen in discussions here and elsewhere on the Internets, I take it to mean that either Apple should bump up the base RAM on its new machines, and/or stop charging so much for additional RAM.
    I refused to believe a Pro machine bought with Lion installed would come with too little RAM for light to medium usage, but it was apparently the case. I'll mark this as a correct answer and hope some other poor soul will come across this thread and be helped by it.

  • Conflict with Linksys Wireless C

    I've recently installed a Linksys Wireless Networking WMP54G card in my desktop and apparently it is conflicting with my Audigy 2 Soundblaster card (i.e. each works fine by itself, but the system keeps re-booting if they are installed together and won't boot into Windows XP at all).
    I'm using Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 and Linksys tech support has been no help at all, simply telling me it's an OS issue and there's nothing they can do. I already tried manually assigning IRQ numbers to each of the PCI slots in the BIOS, but that doesn't seem to have done anything, since when I view "System Information" in windows, the IRQ for both the Linksys card and the Audigy are changed to IRQ 7 (instead of 0 & , as I had manually assigned in the bios).
    Does anyone know if there's a way to change the IRQ setting on the Soundblaster Audigy 2 card, so that it doesn't conflict with my Linksys card? Or, alternati'vely, is anyone familiar with any XP settings that I can change to get XP to assign a different IRQ to the Soundblaster card?
    At least a link to any possible information would be very much appreciated. It's been three days now of trying to get these two cards to work together and I'm about to throw the whole thing out a second story window!

    check your bios if the option Plug&play os is enabled.
    This because Linksys is right, windows handles the irq/dma sharing automatically.
    And as you experience not always the right way.
    Maybe you can move one of the two cards in another pci-slot(move them as far as possible away from each other(Linksys+Creative card).
    i guess you can better contact M$...(if you've a legal windows).
    Or try a Linux boot cd(li've cd linux that runs from cd like knoppix). Because if you've the same problem with a linux li've cd then it must be a hardware issue, if it works fine with Linux Li'veCd then it's a Windows issue like Linksys try to explain.

I would like to request for help and solving this issue and I dont want to get rid of Creative Audigy. I have heard complaints with Hyper-threading technology but I disabled it and the same problem occured.     I would like to thank you for your kind assistance with my problem.
    Heres the good news, I finally managed to install and run my Creative Audigy Platinum perfectly.
    Credit goes to your assitance and support.
    For your info, I would like you to know what I really did.
    I have an Intel Genuine 865GBF mainboard. I installed clean copy of Windows XP (SP) and downloaded and installed latest Chipset INF utility from Intel website. I guess this utility tells the mainboard what kind of hardware is configured on the board.
    Please note that I did not add any PCI card except the AGP graphics card.
    After finishing Windows XP, I installed the Creative Audigy Card in a different PCI slot. When windows started, it detected the sound card installed.
    I simply ran the driver and programs from the Creative CD and it installed perfectly. I then updated the drivers downloaded from the Sound Blaster site in correct order.
    After finishing with Creative Audigy Platinum installation. I installed other hardware devices, service packs, AV and applications.
    Its the third day and everything is running well.
    I just wrote the steps if someone else faces the same problem, he/she can sort it out the same way.
