Credentials Not Sticking

We've had our iTunes U site up and running for a few weeks now so we could demo it to various groups. Now that I'm finally getting ready to really build out the site, I can't get any of the new credentials that I'm making to stick. Whenever I log in as a user who should have Edit access under these new credentials, it never gives me access to see the corresponding course. The icon just doesn't show up. Here's a sample of a credential that works:

The structure for where the course pages should be are the same: they're both on the main welcome page. At the main welcome page level, every user has download permission. On the course pages themselves, I've set it up so that the area administrator has access to Edit. Course A, which I set up a few weeks back using the CLASSAdmin credential is working fine. The one I set up yesterday with the exact same permission scheme for AthleticsAdmin is not. Any ideas?

there's nothing wrong with that code but it would be better to use:
circle.onPress = function(){
this.startDrag();
circle.onRelease = function(){
this.stopDrag();
but that won't solve your problem. there must be something else going on like a depth issue. you may need to use swapDepths() to bring your circle under the mouse when releasing.

I have this issue. Album artwork was totally fine before. After this update, it is all messed up and even got messed up when transferred to my iphone.
iTunes doesn't have the artwork anymore, but then iPhone has it but shows wrong artwork with wrong albums.
Please fix!

Okay, I am fine, I verify the RunAs account configuration and yes this is the problem... I was able to solve it for those SQL running servicec account using domain user account, I created the run as account, and assoistte it with SQL profiles,
and it is fine....
BUT, what about my 8 SQL Servers running SQL Service Account under System and Network accounts,
so how Can I add this coz I cannot target all objects,so what shall I target (Object Health Service or WHAT)?
Please I need it step by step coz I am not able to handle this issue....

If you have not distributed the Run As Account to a system, but we discovered SQL on it, you will see the error message.
This condition may have occurred because the account is not configured to be distributed to this computer. To resolve this problem, please distribute the account to this computer if appropriate. You can refer to the following blog to distribute the Run As

Safe mode display settings not 'sticking' after restart?

Hi
I used a display setting not supported by my Mac mini and consequently had a 'out of signal' error on my monitor and restarted in safe mode, logged in and altered the settings.
When I restart the display settings do not 'stick' and I get the same error. How do I get the settings to stick? Have tried logging in as administrator and user with no joy!

Hmm. Maybe that combination of changing resolution in Safe mode and resetting PRAM have a combined effect of some kind? Worth remembering for the future. Thanks for posting.

Supplied credentials not accepted by the server and Could not validate SPNEGO token

Hi,
We have installed and configured SSO 2.0 SP02 on HP-UX system. We have exported the client policy files, root certificate from SLS and imported the same in the client PC. Then we have installed the SLC in client PC with logging enabled option. Now when we try to manually login using SLC we are getting the below error.
In SLC - "Supplied credentials not accepted by the server"
In Diatool - "Could not validate SPNEGO token"
Attached the trace file from SLC and logs from diatool. Anyone suggest how to rectify this error.

No logon policy was applied
It means that the user "sap.helpdesk1" was decrypted from the kerberos
token but there is no user with this name in the AS Java. The reason for that is a misconfiguration in the SPNEGO user mapping.
Therefore, please open the SPNEGO wizard in the NWA and configure
how AS Java should choose a user from the UME based on the received
SPNEGO token. Here is some documentation about configuring the user

Mouse pointer does not stick on fader when moving it

Using Logic Pro 9. If I grab any fader, the mouse pointer turns into a small dot. If I then drag the fader up or down, the dot does not stick on the fader. Instead, I find I have to drag the dot well above or below the fader to make big adjustments. Is there any setting to control this? Or is this just how it is in Logic. In all other audio applications I've seen, the mouse pointer sticks on the fader when moving it up or down.

No - haven't found a fix for this yet. I can only guess that maybe it wasn't as noticeable when display screens weren't so big. I'm running on a 27" iMac so the effect is quite pronounced. I supposed it could be argued that it gives you a finer grain of control to make small changes - but it really takes away from the 'feel' like you are moving a real fader.

Mail preferences not sticking

I access iCloud email via the web when I'm at work (Win XP SP3 + latest release of Chrome). Recently (as in over the past couple weeks, give or take) my preferences (not showing images in HTML email, default email address for sending, show BCC, etc.) are not sticking permanently. Sometimes I make/save the changes and they stay for days; other times (like this morning) they don't even stay set for an hour. My rules are always there, but the other preferences need to be reset periodically -- and seemingly randomly -- to their default values.
I have deleted all cookies, cleared the cache, etc. I have not tried another browser because (1) it could be days between "resets" and I don't want to have to use another browser for that long just for troubleshooting and (2) I need this to work in Chrome, so whether it works in another browser is more or less moot. No matter what troubleshooting steps I've taken, the problem recurs unpredictably. It is very frustrating because I have to keep a constant eye on the "From" address when replying or sending new messages to mailing lists I'm on (which reject messages from the address that iCloud defaults to), plus with the option defaulting to "On" to show images in HTML email, I'm opening myself up to even more spam than usual.
So two questions:
Is anyone else having this same issue?
Why are these preferences apparently stored in cookies rather than persisting on Apple's server? Or if they ARE on Apple's server, why do I have to keep changing them back periodically?

As follow-up, just since I posted this message and without reloading the iCloud tab, restarting the browser, or anything like that, the preferences have once again reverted themselves less than an hour after I changed them.

I've tried re-installing my iTunes software and searched throughout the forums and elsewhere without so far being able to determine how to resolve this difficulty.
In case my original question formulation was not clear, in the past I could click on the header (while viewing my iTunes library in 'Songs' view) and cycle through "Album", "Album by Artist", in either ascending or descending order, and so forth.
Now I'm only able to chose between "Album by Artist", either ascending or descending. There is no "Album" view option available to me, as there has always been in the past.
I'm completely puzzled as to how this happened. Perhaps I inadvertently hit the wrong key combination while using iTunes and it changed something, I just don't know.
I would really appreciate it if any other forum members have suggestions as to how I might fix this!

MAX settings do not stick

Hi - I'm trying to use FTDI drivers to simulate a COM port from an USB connection. Most WinXP SP2 or 3 machines have no problem, but I have one machine where having run MAX to ensure correct port operation, on quit and relaunch MAX shows a port conflict. This can be cleared with the available controls, but recurs the next time MAX is started. The settings do not stick. The subsystem (a TTi QL355TP power supply) does not see the communication either on this machine, and is OK on the others.
Environment: LV 8.2.1, MAX 4.1 or 4.2.1 . Would prefer not to upgrade LV to more recent version at this stage. LV 8.2.1 re-installed.
Any help or nudges much appreciated.

Thanks for reply. I can't obtain a screenshot at the moment, but the MAX display is a standard diagnostic I've seen on other occasions. Select a COM port in 'Configuration', and the "Port Settings' tab at the bottom has 'Conflict' added. The screen area above shows two columns of 'Settings', one from MS Windows, the other from MAX. These columns disagree in (for example) speed or flow control. Pressing 'Validate' aligns the two, 'conflict' disappears, 'Save' at top of screen appears to save correctly, and everything's fine. Except that the application this setting relies on still has a communication problem, and if you restart MAX the screen display resets to how I described above!
Re-install or repair of NI software does not fix it, nor does re-install of USB drivers. A corrupt data file on this machine would fit the observed evidence - are you able to point me to all the files that MAX may write? A corrupt MS Windows Registry entry might do it also, I guess. Do you know of any tools for checking or fixing such problems? The problem was triggered by a clumsy cleanup of installed NI software that was aborted partway through. The system is installed with a customer making a clean install of everything difficult and we are right at the point of having to write an unattractive workaround that uses a lower level serial interface to allow us to use NI Spy to eke out the required functionality.
Any help appreciated.

Changes made in Book Module do not "stick" when the book has been duplicated

Lr 5.2 stand-alone version (not CC) – Win 7 64-bit
I had made a duplicate of the book (right-click the book Collection and select <Duplicate>). Then I made changes to the original book – changed the font for captions and for body; changed the wording of the body text; changed the padding for images. At some point in the process these changes did not '”stick” anymore. The changes were visible as long as I worked in the Book Module. But the changes were gone and the book reverted to the previous state as soon as I went to the Library and back to the Book Module. Same thing happened when I closed Lr and re-opened it.
Replacing the Preference File did not change this behavior. But when I deleted the duplicate book the behavior of Lr went back to “normal”, i.e. the changes now “stick”.
In my opinion there must be a bug that prevents that changes “stick” when after a Duplicate of a book has been created.

You're not the only one using TCS1. I, too, must endure Adobe's initial FM-RH Integration software offering with its limited patches and multiple workarounds (I don't sound bitter, do I?).
Do you have the latest patches?
When you say you modified titles in your FM book, did you modify the document titles from the book file, thereby changing the file names? Or did you change heading styles within a FM document/chapter?
If you changed the file name in any way, verify in the RH Project Manager that all links to the referenced FM files are not broken. If any file links are broken, you can resolve them in the RH Project Manager.
Changing a heading name within a FM document should not cause you this grief, as long as the file links between FM and RH remain intact.
As I don't know your level of experience, I'll make an suggestion to someone new to FM-RH integration (although, since you're using TCS1, I presume you are an experienced user). When updating the RH project, are you selecting Force Update or Update All. Force Update applies changes made in FM to your RH project. Update All only applies changes made in RH.
Also, RH has a feature that allows you to select specific topics to ignore when running a Force Update (i.e. changes in FM won't be applied to the selected topics). Make sure no topics are selected for this purpose.
If all else fails (and I don't recommend this unless you tried every other possibility), delete and re-import the book. There's another thread that helps you through this process without you having to manually reapply your settings.

When working with podcasts, changes made in the GET INFO window do not "stick" for newly downloaded podcasts? In other words the changes are not persistent for newly downloaded podcasts. I want the changes to apply to past, present, and future podcasts.

WEBREPORTING_SELSCREEN template.
your po_selscreen may be a copy of this and modified to change the look and feel or something like that. compare these two and see whats causing the selscreen from appearing completely

Colors dialed in by the numbers do not stick. I have a 1-color yellow logo that I open in Photoshop in RGB mode. I need the RGB values for the yellow to be specific (232/157/0). So I select the logo, dial in the RGB numbers for the yellow, fill in the selected logo with the correct color, and save. I close the file then reopen it and check the RGB values and they are off by 1 number (now 232/158/1). Why is it doing this?? I expect when I open an Illustrator file in Photoshop that the numbers will shift because this has happened my entire career. HOWEVER, when I save a Photoshop document then re-save it and it's different the next time I open it, I am lost for answers. BTW my color management settings are synced across the Adobe suite for "North America General Purpose 2" if that makes a difference. I am running PS CS6 (13.0.5) on OSX 10.8.5. Any answers would be appreciated.

First of all you should know that RGB numbers are specific to the color space the file is in. The same color in sRGB and Adobe RGB will not have the same RGB numbers.
However, that can't be the case here because the difference is only one single value. So my guess is that you're looking at the result of (destructive) jpeg compression.

Changing defaults in CS3 Illustrator not sticking

I am using Illustrator (CS3) and would love to change my defaults / preferences.
Change the font and start up each page with rulers showing.
I followed the directions from the help section but my changes are not sticking.
Any ideas?
