Credit Control at Delivery Level
Hi All SD Gurus,
We have a situation where the customers are creating Sales Orders thru access provided online via the internet.
We want to set up Credit Control at Delivery level so that in case the credit limit is exceeded the system should stop the Delivery if the Credit limit is exceeded.
We are combining the Delivery, i.e a Single Delivery is created for multiple Sales Orders.
Is it possible for the system to be configured to allow delivery of those items in the sales order sequentially till the credit limit is exhausted, e.g.if the pending Orders are for 25 Lacs and the credit limit for the customer is 15 lacs and when we run the delivery thru VL10A the system should deliver sales orders upto a value of 15 Lacs sequentially.
If this is possible please explain how this can be achieved where we are combining the Delivery.
Regards
Rajkumar

If you want control at delivery level you do these setting allong with other creditmanage ment configuration settings.
SPRO>Sales and Distribution>Basic functions>Credit management/Risk management>Creditmanagement-->Define credit groups(02and 03 are the standard groups for
Delivery and PGI)
-->Assign checking group to sales order or delivery , here you click on credit limit for delivery types here you assign the credit group 02 or 03 to your delivery type.
-->Define the automatic Cradit control with these combinations
Creadit control areaRisk categoryCredit group(02or03).
-->Maintain the credit limit in FD32.
Now you do the transactions, system will check the crdit at delivery level.

OVA8 (about credit control) - "Highest dunning level"
At OVA8 (about credit control) we have "highest dunning level". I can read the explanation below but I couldn't understand why "highest dunning level" stands for. Can anyone explain me?
Credit check against highest dunning level allowed
Indicates whether the system carries out a credit check based on the highest dunning level.
Use
With this type of credit check, you specify the highest dunning level you want to allow in the adjacent field. The dunning level is tracked and stored in the credit data in the customer master record. If this level is exceeded during order or delivery processing, the system carries out a credit check.Dear Yasar,
Dunning is the reminder which we send to the customers regarding the due payment.
Please check with your FI team to learn more about Dunning.
If Highest Dunning level in OVA8 is set as 2, then the system will block the sales order if we have any due payment from the customer for the open items for which we have already sent 2 reminders.
I donot know how to configure Dunning. Your FI team members can help you in resolving this.
Hope my answers can help you upto some extent.
Thank you

Credit management at Delivery level
Hi,
I am having an problem as
My client is asking for credit limt block, at PGI level in delivery. But the condition is that it should be only for certain Plant only..
Is it required to be done with the help of ABAP to write a code in program...or with the help of user exit??
Kindly help me
Shaileshsee its simple for the customers who get stock from a plant maintain them in a seperate risk category and assing credit limit block at pgi level ok......ok but this again has cerain restrictions like if u wnat to deliver goods from a custmoer belonging to another plant delivering goods from this plant credit limit wnt hapen at pgi coz he wld be assingd in a diff catg.......
but anyways this is one scenario in which u can work out by assing the customers belonging to tht particualr plant a sperate risk catg and maintaining block at pgi.
if this helps you reward points in the left column to this ans.

Business model mapping query (High sea sales) - automatic credit control cn
Our Client imports goods(chemicals & liquids) in bulk... on ships .. (to india)
It sells (the sale is made) before the ship enters the indian waters (territory).. (on the sea itself)
Practically this is what happens: (HIGH SEA SALES)
Invoice is done ( with all the statutary docts), as soon as the sales order is created. Lastly, the delivery happens.
Now, the client wants automatic credit check at DELIVERY LEVEL. ( After the invoicing is done, legally the goods belong to the customer, but our client wants to have a control on delivery, if at all any payment issue arise....
How to do this?
any ideas?

Credit limit at delivery order
hi guys
how can we define credit limit update at delivery order not sales order .
Thanks in advanceHi,
For credit limit update of only open delivery related items (and open billing items) ensure that the update grp in ur Credit control area is 00015. If it is 00012 or 00018 then it will take sales order also.
For a credit check at Delivery level, in OVA8 for the combination of risk category, credit cntrl area & Credit grp set the Open Deliveries check box is activated.
IF the credit update grp is 00012 then selecting the Open orders will also consider the open sales order for credit check. If the Update grp is 00015 then it does not matter whether Open Sales order is checked or not.

Can we detrmine Credit Check at delivery or billing level
Hi
Can we determine Credit Check at delivery or billing level other than at Sales Order level?
If yes, what settings need to be done in IMG?Hi Ronaldo,
the idea behind making a credit check is to block the customer from receiving goods in case the credit limit has already exceeded right?
Now consider that you have a customer for whom you are preapring a sales order, carrying out delivery and PGI ,
then when you went on to bill him you find that the customer has exceeded its credit limit. Now, since you have alreday prepared sales oredr and delivery document and even posted goods what action would you take? you have already carried out pgi.
it is not possible in standard SAP.Since once the PGI is done and later the credit limit is checked at the time of billing, then the delivery will have to be revrsed, sales order has to be cancelled and so on making it a little complex.
Thanks,

Credit management at order level ,delivery level and PGI Level.
Hi All,
I have a scnario where in at the order level i want to give a wariniog message ,at the delivery level again a warning message and at the pgi level the system should stop me form doing PGI!kindly specify the settings.
Second Scenario:Error at order level ,delivery level.
Regards
RKMHI,
First u assign credit group as 03 at pgi level in that particular sales order type in VOV8 document functionaliyt..
If you are using simple credit check then Put error message there in credit check field of VOV8..
In case of automatic credit check then please go to OVA8 t.code there u put reaction as warning message and then status as blocked...

Avoid credit control while changing delivery
Hi,
I have a problem:
We'd like to avoid the credit control when there is changed a delivery note.
We have defined a condition in which we placed the "BYPASS" (OSS 895630) variant in connection with the transaction code (e.g. VL02N).
The problem is, that we change our deliveries via WHSCON idoc, here the transaction code is " ". If we add the transaction " " in our condition to avoid the credit control while changing the delivery with an idoc, we will have a problem when we create our deliveries, because the deliveries are created by a batch job, too (transaction is even " ", too). So the credit control won't even work while creating a delivery, too. This is a difficult situation.
So I'm searching for a way to differenciate between changing and creating a delivery, that I am able to overtake that in the condition.
Hope to be clear.
ChrisHi again,
I think I will make a check if the delivery number is initial or not.
The system will check as follows:
- when the transaction is " " and the delivery number is not initial --> avoid credit control
- when the transaciotn is " " and the delivery number is initial --> process credit control
Sometimes the solution is easier as expected first...
Thanks for help!!

Dynamic Credit check - problem -Delivery creation from Sales order
Hi
we have a problem which i would appreciate some help with.
Sales order is blocked for credit and subsequently released via VKM1
BUT as soon as line item is selected and then Sales document > deliver -
the Dynamic credit block kicks in again straight away, no other changes have been made
why is this occurring ?
I managed to get round the problem by creating delivery via VL10c and selecting line item and then create in backgroundHi Tony,
Do you have a credit check active again at Delivery level?
In OVA8 - for the combination of credit control area, risk cat & credit group - please check field 'Number of days'.
If you do not wish to carry out the credit check again for the released doc, here you can maintain the number of days.
Description of F1 for this field is as below.
Credit check: Number of days without check
Specifies the number of days after which a changed document must be re-checked for credit.
Use
This function is used for checking documents that have already been released by a credit representative, but that have subsequently been changed. The system does NOT carry out another credit check if the following conditions are met:
The value of the changed order is not greater than the value already approved for credit (inclusive of the deviation factor), AND
The current date is not greater than the original release date plus the number of days specified here
thanks

Credit management automatic credit control use of credit group
Hello gurus
1)In the credit management we have credit groups( which enables us to combine different sales
document types for the purposes of credit management).
In the simple credit check also we will assign the doc types to check the credit. Then please tell me why we need credit groups in automatic credit control? Here also we can assign the doc types to check the credit ?then what exactly is the use of credit group ?
2)where will we specify the total credit amount allowed of the credit control area?
3)In the automatic credit control (ova8) against to static check box option we have open orders and open delivers checkboxes. is this two boxes only specific to static or it also belongs to dyanic?
Is it necessary to check this boxes?
4)is any one have used any of the routines in automatic credit control( document controlling tab we have no credit check field here we specify the routine? If any business need please share with me
Thank you in advance for all the repliesHi
For your 1st query , In credit mgmt we assign credit grps to sales document type. So as you said we will assign credit grps at simple credit check and coming to the Automatic credit check we assign credit grp for the sales document type also .But the difference is credit grp can be at order level or Delivery Level or PGI level in OVA8 in Automatic credit check .
Coming to your 2nd Query , we will specify the total credit limit in FD32.
For your 3rd query , In OVA8 apart from the static check we check the boxes open orders and open deliveries also because once you activate Automatic credit check and once you maintain credit limit for any customer then system will check the open orders and open deliveries also of that customer
Coming to your last query the routine feild can be used when some requirements have to be fulfilled then only automatic credit check should work for customers. or else the sales order ->delivery->PGI will happen normally

Credit Management of Delivery Documents
Dear Experts ,
We all Know in the credit management of the Order :OVAK
*We can define what type of credit check we are doing either automatic or simple. *
But in the Delivery Document : Where do we define the type of credit check in Customizing:
T-code: OVAD
We only define the Delivery Credit Group and PGI Cre GRP.
However I can Understand that in OVA8 we have the credit group to determine the Credit mangement controls:
But *We can define what type of credit check we are doing either automatic or simple. *
please explain,
A SHi,
My understading is simple credit check is performed in delivery documents and the reason why I am saying this is b'coz of below statement:
> When you define automatic credit checks, you can also freely define requirements which cause a document or the forwarding of the material requirements to MRP to be blocked
Now, requirements are tranferred to MRP in sales order stage not at delivery stage as far as I know.. which means simple credit check is performed at delivery level as there are no additional things which can be performed during simple credit check compaired to automatic credit check {which occurs normally in sales order stage}
Other elite members may elaborate more on this if somewhere my understading is wrong..

Authorizations in Credit Control Configuration
Dear Friends
I am configuring "automatic credit control " for our client. The requirement is 4 levels of authorizations. I've completed the settings for credit check at transaction level.
Now, How do I maintain the Authorizations (4 levels) I am aware that there are 3 controls , user1, user2 & user3 in OVO8 control.
Any help/suggestion, will surely be appreciated.
Rgds
Sumanth.Gururajhi friend
You mean you want to create 4 level release authorizations, right?
As we know, user1, user2 & user3 in OVO8 control are customized credit checking user exit. we can add our specific checking logic on it.
But for credit release, there is a standard function as VKM1.
As your requirements, I think there is a standard function maybe can help u, named User Status Control.
You can add some status to control the sales document, for example, block delivery, block billing.
If document has not been approved, system will reject further action according to your status settings.
Hope this can take some help for u.

Critical field credit block goods issue level
Hi,
In our company we do Automatic credit management at at goods issue level.
At the moment over a certain credit limit the GI just gets blocked.
Now we have requirement where if the payment terms are changed by enduser at the sales order level then the GI should be blocked.
I tried the "critical field" option and it is working at the sales order level by blocking it but not on goods issue level.
I have assigned the credit group"03-goods issue" to the delivery type OVAD.
In OVA8 i have maintained automatic credit control with critical field selected and Reaction "c" and status block selected for the combination of credit control areacredit groupsrisk cat (000)
In FD32 i have maintained risk category for the customer (000).
Could some one help please?
Thank youHi vinod
In OVA8 if you are using the dynamic credit check then make the status option C. secondly uncheck the open items and also change the time period if it is in days and if you have given 7days then change according to the billing days say as the change in the payment terms if the billing take place after 1week then add another 7days and make it to 14days
