Credit for fraudulent calls

How do I request credit for fraudulent phone calls from my account?  My account was locked, so Skype figured out my account was hacked, but how do I contest the calls and charges?
After this event, there is no way in hell I am keeping more then a few dollars tied to this account.
Hadn't used or logged into my account in over 4 months, then receive a notice out of the blue of my account being suspended after recent use.

Dcoyle, We definitely know the importance of understanding options when it comes to ringback tones on your device. I'm truly sorry to learn that you've been experiencing distorted sound. Is this something that just started recently? Which device do you currently have with us? We'll look into this for you, indeed.

I recently forgot the password for my iTunes UK account with 100 pounds of credit. I called apple and said no one could help me if I did not know the security questions. Really? This company that pretty much can do anything is not able to tell me what the password is?
Any help i appreciated!!!! what doe aApple do with all the unclaimed money from lost or forgotten accounts?
    Jeffrey

For a forgotten password: go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com; click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'.
For forgotten security questions log in at http://appleid.apple.com and click 'Password and Security' in the sidebar. There should be a link in the Security Questions section to send the answers to an email you have specified. Failing this, go to https://getsupport.apple.com click 'See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'.

  • Subscription for most calls, but credit for 0845 n...

    Hello,
This question is similar to two recent previous ones, but they weren't answered to my satisfaction.
I bought an unlimited Skype subscription for the UK and Europe. I needed to call, and will no doubt in the future need to call, organisations in the UK on 0845 numbers. I discovered that I had to buy credit to call these numbers, because the subscription doesn't cover them. However, when making calls to the UK and France, I noticed that the credit amount is running down.
I do not want this. I want to reserve the credit for calls that can't use a subscription and instead require credit. How do I do this?
    Thanks

You mentioned earlier that when you called UK and France, calls were charged from Skype Credit balance. In this case you probably called mobile phones which are not covered by the subscription.
    Please check your call history:

  • HT204088 i need a credit for the unauthorize charges

i need credit for these charges

If these charges are being made to a credit or debit card, the most immediate thing you need to do is to call your credit card company or bank and report the unauthorized charges. That company can contact Apple if they need additional information.
Next, log into your iTunes Store account and see if the purchases are reflected in the Purchase History. If they are, immediately change the password to your iTunes Store account, making sure it's not something easily guessed or looked up. Then go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
If the charges are not reflected in the Purchase History, then it's most likely a fraudulent charge to your credit card directly rather than an unauthorized purchase through your iTunes Store account in which case it will be up to your bank to handle.

  • Materials Management: Letter Of Credit for Vendor in SAP ECC 6.0

    Hello Experts,
We are in the process of implementing SAP GTM for our Client.
One of Our Prime requirement is to map Financial Document "Letter Of Credit" for the Vendor in case Imports. I found that Letter Of Credit can be created only for Customer in Sales/Foreign Trade but the same option is not available for Vendor.
Does sap support Letter Of Credit in MM-Imports or in Finance for Vendors?

    Hello Debasis,
Post EPC installation, you need to perform configuration of EPC through portal. You can see it listed under configuration--> configuration scenarios-->EPC.
During configuration you will be asked to define path of you primavera installation and a user on that system with sufficient permissions. This user is called APS user.
Try to do a mock configuration run on sandbox/dev system and then you can follow the guide.

  • What should I do about fraudulent calls?

It seems as though nowadays the fraudulent phone calls usually have a spoofed caller ID number. As an example, I just received a call that appeared to be from 981-111-1111. Other times a number will end with 0000. In this most recent call, a man with a strong Indian accent told me he was from the Windows Operating System Support Center, or something like that. I asked how he got my number, and he said he got my number because I am a Windows user. In fact, I have not been a Windows user for about ten years. Since I have received calls from this particular scam in the past, I know that he was going to tell me I have a virus on my computer. I cussed at him and he hung up. (Yes, I know: bad form to cuss at a minimum-wage call-center employee, but I was angry.)
My question: Does Verizon have any place to report such calls? Are they trying to do anything about such calls? Are they doing anything to change phone protocols to make it impossible for scammers to spoof the caller-ID number? I'm on the Do-Not-Call list, but when the caller ID number is spoofed, I'm sure the government cannot do anything. I know we all get such calls, and I know blocking the numbers does no good since they constantly change their spoofed number.
I often get important calls from numbers I do not recognize, so ignoring unknown numbers is not an option, and the scam calls seldom use obviously spoofed numbers as this one did.
Is there anything we can do? Verizon, are you making any effort to combat such calls, and if so, how can I help you?
(I wanted to send an email to Verizon, but could not find an email form or customer service email address, and when I called *611 I got a recording saying there was a longer-than-usual wait time, and then it hung up on me. So I'm posting in the Community Forum, partly to vent, partly hoping for answers, and partly hoping Verizon will see this and reply.)

    Thanks for your reply.
But it seems to me that there is a weakness in the protocol when it is even possible for services such as you mention to spoof a phone number. At worst, the company offering the spoofing service should have to show their own real phone number.
Blocking specific numbers does not help because they keep changing the spoofed number. When I get such calls I put them in my phone's address book, name them "Spam" and set the ring tone to No Ring. I never get another call from the same number. (It would show up as a missed call.)
Changing my own number would not help because I'm sure they use a robocaller that just calls every number. I'm already on the Do Not Call list, and that helps reduce calls from "legitimate" solicitors, but the real frauds don't respect it.
What's needed, and I know it would not be easy, but ought to be possible, is a protocol for the caller ID data that accompanies calls, that would make it impossible to spoof the caller ID information. Then, at the very least, such calls could be reported to the government as violations of the Do Not Call list and they'd know who the caller really was. At present they can do nothing because they have no way of knowing who really made the call.
The present phone system grew up in an age when this was not an issue because long-distance calls were too expensive to be profitable for spammers. It is time now for a complete revision to the protocols which would address the problem by making spoofing impossible, or at least too expensive for spamming to be profitable.
Thanks for your time and consideration. I know we have the same interests here. These criminals are stealing money from the people who can least afford it, and the lack of any means for tracking their calls gives them a level of protection from discovery that is just not acceptable.

  • Charges for phone calls

Hi, wonder if someone can help me?
Yesterday I made some skype phone calls. Today when I logged into Skype the amount in the top left hand corner said I still had 6.86 Sterling (£) in my account (credit). I made one phone call and the balance dropped to 6.54. This was unusual as this was a call to a UK number.
I looked in the billing area and the last call apparently was £0.09 pence, not the 32 pence seen in the Skype console. So why does it appear that Skype is vastly overcharging me even by its own records?
I am now on Skype version 6.2 on Windows 7 (on a PC) but was on 6.18 when I made the calls.
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Thanks,

    Hi NormanM,
    1. The point was that I was deducted £0.32 off my credit for just one calll yesterday (looking at my credit before and after the call). In fact, after that call I see that my credit this morning has been reduced by a further £0.09. I have made no other calls. So it now looks like £0.41 has been deducted from the credit.
    2. Perhaps you can tell me. Is the billing real time like I was led to believe from the T&C's?
    Hello John
    1. The GBP0.09 charge was for the 2.59 minute call to UK on 09/15/14 detailed in my previous post. Your account shows that there have been no further charges since then.
    2. When I access a user's account I can see charges being applied in real time.

  • 100 dollar bill credit for iPhone update

Back in March my wife updated her iPhone 4 to an iPhone 5c during the promotion at the time where she would pay 100 dollar for the phone and then receive a 100 dollar bill credit. When we went to pay our bill in March we noticed the credit had not been applied. We called and were told it would take a couple billing cycles, not a big deal. We went and looked at our bill in April, still no credit. I called and was told the credit was definitely coming and it would just take another billing cycle. They explained that the cycle we were in when we purchased the phone didn't count for the 1-2 cycles needed to apply the credit. We got our bill in May, STILL NO CREDIT. I called this time and was told that we were never due a credit and it was not coming.
Now, I know I purchased it during the promotion and I had on 2 separate previous occasions had people tell me the credit was coming it was just processing and would take a couple cycles. Now I get a guy telling me there is no credit and he can offer me 25 dollar credit for my troubles. UNACCEPTABLE! Has anyone else had issues receiving the credit due? Is there any remedy to this? No one I call can seem to help!

I am dealing with the same thing!  Luckily when I checked out online I printed the page that shows the promotion under the 16GB phone.  Verizon is telling me it was only for the 32 GB as well!  I will be sending my printout tonight and I will post it here as well so hopefully everyone can get the money the deserve!  Like I told Verizon, why would I pay $173 (with tax) for an Iphone 5C when Walmart had it at the same time for $34 (with tax)... the only reason I didn't buy from walmart at the time was it was $29 plus tax and I assumed they taxed on the retail price of the phone like Verizon does, and later found out they only tax on the purchase price!!!
I am so disappointed in their lack of customer service and the fact that I have to call 6 times before someone tells me I don't qualify!

  • Skype Credit for USD 2

I got an offer "Skype Credit for USD 2" which I accepted, but I still haven't received the Skype Credits. I already have an subscription "unlimited world", so I need the credits so that I can make phone calls to mobile phones.

I've had occasional issues with skype telling me I need skype credit for a number I don't need credit for and then sometimes it works and sometimes not (this is my parent's phone number I call all the time, so it's not an issue of location). I just upgraded to new version of skype so maybe the new mac software has a glitch I need to figure out? Please tell me how to call out with subscription so it will stop asking for skype credit. I get automatically billed monthly, I barely make any calls, there's no reason it shouldn't be working, I've had this subscription for years. Thank you!

Hi marcg888. I know how important having reliable phone service at home can be. But indoor service can be tricky with all the things that can cause interference. Anything from electronics to the actual matierial your home is built from can cause signal to be weaker indoors, in addition to the distance from the cell tower having a factor. Since you mentioned reception outside is fine, a great investment to consider is our Network Extender http://bit.ly/AKkC to help essentially bring a mini tower into your home. It's extremely helpful to avoid dropped calls and improve the service inside your home.

  • When do I get credit for the month of service I had to purchase with my phone upgrade?

I have been a Verizon wireless customer for years.  I upgraded my phone last month on 10/18 on the Verizon website.  During checkout for my new phone, the cost for my plan for one month was added to the checkout total.  I paid it assuming I would see a credit for this on my next month's bill, but I received my next month's bill with a billing date of 10/28/2013 and it was the normal monthly bill I always get.  When I look at my bill online, it is also the normal monthly bill with no credits.  When do I get credit back for the month I paid for during the phone purchase?

serenityn0w, congratulations on your recent upgrade to a new device. When ordering a new device online and charging it to your account; the cost of your calling plan is not included in this purchase. You are billed for the price of the device, accessories, and one time $30.00 upgrade fee.
Once you activate your device, you are moved to the plan that you selected online during your order transaction. Plan changes during your billing cycle, will create partial and prorated charges on your next bill.
Proration is an adjustment that is made to your bill when you make a change to your account in the middle of your billing cycle. When proration occurs, this is what you're going to see on your bill:
      • A credit for the portion of your monthly access charge that was billed in advance on the previous number from today's date through the end of the current bill cycle.
      • A charge for the portion of the monthly access for the new number from today's date through the end of the current bill cycle.
      • A charge for the monthly access for the new number for the next month.
      • The monthly allowances associated with your plan may also be prorated, and overage charges may occur.
I hope that this information is helpful to you.
