hi,
pl check this ;
Credit and risk management takes place in the credit control area. According to your corporate requirements, you can implement credit management that is centralized, decentralized, or somewhere in between.
An organizational unit that represents the area where customer credit is awarded and monitored.   This organizational unit can either be a single or several company codes, if credit control is performed across several company codes. One credit control area contains credit control information for each customer.
For example, if your credit management is centralized, you can define one credit control area for all of your company codes.
If, on the other hand, your credit policy requires decentralized credit management, you can define credit control areas for each company code or each group of company codes.
Credit limits and credit exposure are managed at both credit control area and customer level.  You set up credit control areas and other data related to credit management in Customizing for Financial Accounting. The implementation guide is under Enterprise Structure -> Definition or Assignment -> Financial Accounting and then Maintain credit control area. You assign customers to specific credit control areas and specify the appropriate credit limits in the customer master record.
Settings for determining the credit control area of a document.  The settings of items 1 - 4 are taken into account according to their priority.  The credit control area found is stored in field VBAK-KKBER.

  • Credit Management - Check for Item Payer

    Hi All,
Credit management is checked at header payer level. For cleint requiremnt , we want this check for Item payers.
Is there any possibility for the same.

    Hi,
The credit check will happen with the credit account which you maintain in FD32, it can be any partner function. But, in standard SAP it happens for a sold-to-party.. which means we normally maintain SP as a credit account in FD32.. and logically it's the right way..
Now, coming to your query.. if you maintain the credit account for the payer then system will perform the credit check for that payer only.. it doesn't matter if it is maintained at header level or item level.
Hope this will clear your doubt along with the problem.
    Do let me know.

  • Availability Check , Credit Management

currently when sale order is blocked due to credit management check and released after few days ( say 2 or 3 days) the availablity check is not activated .( it means that the delivery date will be the old schedule line date) but the document is released after couple of days due to business reason.
The solutions which we are currently working on
    1) we have found a user exit in system modifications - not meeting our requirement.
    -  we need to run thre availablity check when it is released from vkm1 or vkm3 as though we are entering new lines in va02. ( release date will be the current date)

    Hi,
I'm not sure whether I understand your problem proberly. But perhaps you have a look at the program SDV03V02 (Transaction Code V_V2). Perhaps you can run it as a job and got the new availability after release the sales order for credit check.

  • Warnings in FSCM Credit Management for negative credit check.

    Hello,
I am implementing FSCM Credit Management. I have below requirement.
At the time of creation of sales order, if credit limit is exceeded then only warnings are required, Sales order should not go in the block (as available in earlier SAP AR Credit Management)
Is this also possible in FSCM Credit Management ? As in the configuration for credit rules, in the log , only extensive log, no log & error message is supported. Follow up event also has option of blocking business partner or workflow once credit check is performed & if it is negative.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Credit static check status B in vkm3

    Hello Experts,
    Need your help.
I have an SO which has a credit status as Released in sales order.
When checked at VKM3, it shows Status Check B/Not Approved, Overall Status as Released and is also showing a risk cat of RK2.
Currently, the credit status of the customer has 72% credit exposure and customer has been updated with risk category 001.
From the client's automatic credit control setting, the Risk Category 001 includes Static check for open orders and deliveries, and Open items  - Max open item %  is 20% with 3 days open.
    I would like to know,
    - how is the static check in VKM3 be approved and changed it to Status A?
    - As I have checked that both risk categories RK2 and 001 both have Open Items Check with Max open item 20%, then should it work if I suggest user to change the risk category into RK1 which is maintained with Max open item 75%?
Kindly help suggest solutions on how I can the static check be approved.
    Thanks!
    lia

    Dear Lia,
I donot understand what your issue is. To release the order from the credit check, we will be using VKM3 transaction.
By the way, to have a clear idea on how Open item check in OVA8 works. Please find below my answer.
Customer Balance, you can check this in FD10N transaction.
You can also see the overdue open items in this transaction.
Max.open.item % will be having Maximum percentage of overdue open items/customer balance
When you activate the indicator OPEN ITEMS, and you have mentioned some XX% in the Max.open.item % and some Y days in Max.open.item %; then the system will do the following.
a.first calculate the amount of overdue open items which are due for more than Y days.
b.then divide the value obtained in step a by customer balance which you can see in FD10n transaction.
    c. this will be giving some %. If this percentage is higher than the value mentioned in Max.open.item %; then the system will block the sales order for further processing.
    Hope this clarifies.
Please close the thread if this answers your query. thanks

  • Static check and credit limit

    Hi,
If I tick static check in OVA8, may i know besides open order and open delivery which adjacent to static check, credit limit in FD33 also considered as static check?
In FD33, the credit exposure (receivable/liabilities/sales value) to determine credit limit, I would like to know if it is also considered static check if limit over.
    Thanks

Yes. If you check Static Credit Check in OVA8, system will check the Credit Limit Defined in FD32 (displayed in FD33).
Static Check considers the Credit Exposure displayed in FD33 & the available Credit Limit.
The only thing not available in Static Check is the Horizon factor. (With Horizon in Dynamic Check, you can decide uption how many months in future you want to consider open Orders).
    Hope this helps,

  • Credit Management- difference between Credit check at Delivery & PGI

    Dear Gurus,
scenario : The client already have Credit check at Sales order & Delivery . he want to allocate inventory to the order in case of Credit check at sales order.also delivery should be blocked.
Whats is the possible solution ?
If i will remove credit check at sales order & only credit check at delivery. is that solve the problem & what is the customisation for the same ?
what is the difference between credit check at delivery & at PGI
Please Help me to solve this critical problem
    Thanks in Advance

Edited by: Vishal Shirke on May 22, 2009 9:47 AM

    Hi Vishal,
SAP can do credit check at three levels Sales order, deliveries and PGI.
When checking at Deliveries:-The credit block will not allow you to create Delivery document if you set credit check for Deliveries.
the stock will not get reserved for the delivery.
We follow this when we dont want to create delivery doc when customers credit limit exceeds.
At PGI Level --> The credit block will not allow you to do the PGI if you set credit check for PGI.
you can create delivery document and also pick the stock.
the stock will  get reserved for the delivery
So according to ur scenario u can go for Credit check at PGI.

  • Credit Management Check - Sales Value not updated in FD33

    Hi,
We have configured Credit Management checks in our system.
When we create a Sales Order that has exceeded the Credit Amount for a Customer we get a pop up saying "Credit Limit Exceeded by XXX amount. We proceed to save the sales order.
By my understanding this amount XXX should get get updated in Transaction FD33 - Customer Credit management Display Status in the column "Sales Value". But this does not happen. The value remains as zero.
What could be wrong here. Should this field not be updated with the credit value that the customer has exceeded?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ashwin

The Sales Value in FD33 transaction is the value of open sales orders as of that point. Now in your case if you are creating the first sales order and the value of that order is going beyond the allowed credit limit then and as per setting if system is blocking that order for credit faliure in this case system does not consider this order as open untill it blocked for credit.
Check if the order is blocked for credit. Also see the status of the order in VBUK (status table).
    Hope this helps.

  • Credit Management - Maximum time overdue limit for open item

    Dear all,
I've this scenario to configure for automatic credit control. A customer is billed on Jan 22nd '10 and now the account receiveable shows an open item. This customer is allowed 52 calendar days to make payment for this invoice, hence no credit block yet. As such, the customer can still make orders.
In my existing configuration, I've already enable "static" credit check on "open orders" and "open deliveries". The static check is to check against the customer's credit limit.
So, if I were to add in the earlier mentioned overdue open items check, is it sufficient to just maintain the field "Days oldestItem" with "52" within the automatic credit control screen?
    Thanks.
    Steven

    Hi
The sytstem will shows oldest open items depending on the payment terms from the invoice date.
Once it crosses the days of payment then it will show in oldest open items
if you want to extend some more days for that then you need to maintain the days in "Days oldestitem" the automatic credit control area
Prerequisites for credit management to work in Sales and Distribution:
1.Assign credit control area to company code
2.Maintain the credit limit in FD32 with details of risk category and the credit limit value
3.Do the settings in OVA8 -automatic credit control area with combination of Credit control area/Risk category /credit group.
4.Assign the credit groups to the sales and delivery document types.
5.Maintain the Subtotal 'A' in the pricing procedure against which value the sytem should check the credit limit.
If you have any further clarifications on above let me know

  • Credit management

We have open  sale order for a customer after which the credit management was activated. In FD 32 the credit limit was set.
The risk category used is 006.
We have used static check. We have ticked on open orders and open items.
We want the system to prompt at the sale order level if we are trying to change the quantity.
After maintaining the master when we create order and if it exceeds the limit we are getting the error message that credit limit exceed by -
    value.
For orders that are raised before fd32, we are not getting the error message.
    Could anyone please guide

    Hi Pooja
In OVA8 , for static check change the Reaction  box to error and then check , but generally the open orders, open deliveries work for dynamic credit check and not for static credit check

  • Credit management and credit exposure

    Hi experts,
Pls anybody clarify my doubt in Credit management.
I activated the credit control areas update as 000015(Open delivery and billing document value). And activated dynamic credit management "Automatic credit control".Now i explain with some example how it working. Fixed credit limit for customer A Rs.30,000/-, Receivables amount 22,000/-. Now if create a sales order for value >8000 i m not getting the credit lock waring messages.
(I.e) i am creating one sales Order for value Rs.9,000/-.(So credit limit crossed and not getting error msg or waring messages)
After that creating another sales order for same customer i am getting Warning msg like"Credit limit crossed_____amount".
So finally, CCR Rs.30,000/, Recei Rs.22,000/- but i can able to make even Sales Order value for Rs One lakh. I want here to block sales order should not be create.
    Thanks in advance.
    SR

When a sales order is created , only the confirmed quantity is taken for pending sales value even if sale order qty is more
Check OVA8 setting , open deliveries and open orders should be selected
You can set reaction status as warning or error.
Pricing procedure - Subtotal should be A . This will update structure s066
The above condition will work only for order creation . For sales order ammendment you have do the same setting for credit group  02.
If Dynamic credit check works with credit Horizon date . It is better to have static credit check.
Check MC30 after creating sales order whether structure s066 updated for the order.
    check and confirm

  • Credit Managament: avoid credit block for down payment invoices

    1) Downpayment - when an order is blocked, can we create a billing
document of the downpayment request created in slaes order. Logically
the customer wants to pay for this downpayment immediately and process
    the order
Notes: If credit management is activated at sales order level and In
Milestone Billing scenario or Project Sales order scenario, at Sales
order level we have a Downpayment (Z0000 - Downpayment) Milestone
usage and Other Milestone invoice Usages.
The business requirement is Customer need to pay the downpayment
invoice before executing the Sales order.
In SAP when the Sales order is blocked for Credit Management, system is
not able to create the Downpayment invoice also. to creat the invoice
we have to release the order first. However we dont want to release the
order but want to receivce the downpayment and then may be we can
manually release the order and process. The reason is suppose we have
an automatic release to production or PR or creation of service order,
we would like to process them only after the downapayment, now for
creating the wownpayment invoice for receiving the downpayment, we have
to release the order which shall further process the order
automatically. Please suggest a solution for the same to avoid the
credit block for the Downpayment invoices.

I think this can be enabled easily.
For the combination of Credit Control Area, Credit Group and Risk Category, you should have enabled the Dynamic/Static credit check, you can configure it such a way that it only gives you a warning message and doesnot block your sales order. This should solve ur problem

  • Credit management automatic credit control use of credit group

    Hello gurus
1)In the credit management we have credit groups( which enables us to combine different sales
document types for the purposes of credit management).
In the simple credit check also we will assign the doc types to check the credit. Then please tell me why we need credit groups in automatic credit control? Here also we can assign the doc types to check the credit ?then what exactly is the use of credit group ?
2)where will we specify the total credit amount allowed of the credit control area?
3)In the automatic credit control (ova8) against to static check box option we have open orders and open delivers checkboxes. is this two boxes only specific to static or it also belongs to dyanic?
Is it necessary to check this boxes?
4)is any one have used any of the routines in automatic credit control( document controlling tab we have no credit check field here we specify the routine? If any business need please share with me
Thank you in advance for all the replies

    Hi
For your 1st query , In credit mgmt we assign credit grps to sales document type. So as you said we will assign credit grps at simple credit check and coming to the Automatic credit check we assign credit grp for the sales document type also .But the difference is credit grp can be at order level or Delivery Level or PGI level in OVA8 in Automatic credit check .
Coming to your 2nd Query , we will specify the total credit limit in FD32.
For your 3rd query , In OVA8 apart from the static check we check the boxes open orders and open deliveries also because  once you activate Automatic credit check and once you maintain credit limit for any customer then system will check the open orders and open deliveries also of that customer
Coming to your last query the routine feild can be used when some requirements have to be fulfilled then only automatic credit check should work for  customers. or else the sales order ->delivery->PGI will happen normally

  • Regarding open items in credit management

    Dear friends
My query is that is it possible to restrict credit management for credit and debit open items? See i am using oldest open item blocking in my scenario. Now credit and debit amounts are both considered as open item for credit management. I want only invoice (Debit entry) for consideration and not his payment(credit entry).
Please advise is it possible or not and if possible where to define that???
    With regards
    Inder

    Hi,
All business have their own credit management needs, SAP allows you to specify your own automatic credit checks based on a variety of criteria. You can also specify at which critical points in the sales and distribution cycle the system carries out these checks.
    SM30 - Table/View
    V_TVTW – Define Distribution Channel
V_TVTA_KKB – Assign sales area to credit control area
V_T014 – FI - Define Credit Control Area
T001CM - FI – Assign Permitted Credit Control Area to company code
OVXG - Set up Sales Areas
    e.g. Sales Organization
Distribution Channel Division Distribution Channel Division
    FD32 - Customer Credit Management
OVAK - Define credit limit check by sales document type
    Check Credit
A – Credit limit check and warning message
B – Credit limit check and error message (no sales order can be created)
C – Credit limit check and delivery block (block delivery if hit credit limit)
Options B and C -> used for checking open order values (when you create/change the sales order)
D – Automatic credit control with open order values
More control in transaction OVA8 - Automatic credit control
You check for open orders and deliveries, or just open deliveries.
or open order values with other options
    Credit group
Allows you to combine different sales document types for the credit limit check
VKM1 - Blocked SD Documents – Finance have to released the delivery block
OVAD - Define credit limit check by delivery order
whether the automatic credit check occurs at the time of delivery creation and/or goods issue
OVA7 - Define credit limit check by item category
Set whether to include/exclude item category for credit limit check
OVA6 - Define credit group. You can groups together different business transactions which should be dealt with in the same manner with regard to the credit check.
You enter the credit groups when you configure the sales document types for credit management and define the (D – automatic credit check).
    SAP default credit groups
01 – credit group for sales order
02 – credit group for delivery
03 – credit group for goods issue
OVA8 - Automatic credit control – Double click on the line items
You can have the followings credit limit check :-
    Static
Depends on the customer total value of open orders, deliveries, billing documents and open items.
    Open items
    No of days open
Overdue open items checks is based on the ratio of open items that are overdue by a certain number of days.
    Max open items %
The customer balance must not exceed a certain percentage.
    Oldest open items
If you don’t want to deliver to the customer at all when even only 1 invoice is overdue.
Tick the Check for Oldest Open Item and Set the field Days oldest item = 1.
    Days oldest item
No of days allowed for overdue or payment terms.
Use of the credit check Oldest Open Item. If a user attempts to alter the order quantity of a released sales document
that was previously blocked, it would be reblocked again by the system. The system only reblocks the sales document if the new order quantity is above a certain % amount.
    Released documents are still unchecked
The preset % is whatever you want to set it as when configuring your automatic credit processing. You enter a deviation % and number of days,eg, you can set it so that an order can be changed by up to 10% within 30 days of original order entry date without it going back on credit block.
    Next Review Date
If a customer has a credit limit of 1000 USD, and you would like to restrict this credit limit only to be available in current month (say March). If the document day is in April then the credit limit is zero.
You can use the “NextReview date” and “Number of days” fields and combined it with the “Last int.review” field in customer credit master “Status” view (FD32).
VOKR - Display of work list for credit management (configure the display variant)
    regards,
    Siddharth.
