Siebel<>Microsoft Exchange Realtime integration:Uses siebel workflows,siebel communication inbound manager and business services(for validation)to capture Email Bouncebacks and is a very important functionality.Is that possible in  sap -crm?and how does it work?

We are going thru the same issue. We are implementing Bounce Management and it does'nt seem to work. Here it the complete situtaion:
Scenario:
The business needs the Soft Bounces (out of office, on vacation, server not responding, etc) to be forwarded to an agent. and incase of Hard Bounce they want to raise the "DO NOT USE COMMUNICATION" flag in the business partner record.
Configuration:
We have configured the same rules in Rules Modeler and Category Modeler (in Portal). But still the
bounce management is not working. Is there anything else in configuration we are missing??
We have figured out that the incoming mails (emails with bad email id ) is not coming back to SAP but coming back to the exchange server. We need to establist a conection between our exchange server with SAPCRM to receive incoming mails... and that's when the ERMS workflow will start and follow the rules. Is this right ??
Are there any notes for this ? Would really appreciate your help on this.

    Hi All,
    I have some question related email router & email configuration in MS CRM 2015. I test using gmail account for both CRM email and contact email (different gmail account).
    1. I try send from my gmail to CRM directly, the result is the email not received in CRM. but if I try from CRM to my gmail using email activities first, after email received in my gmail inbox and reply back the email, I have received new email activities
    in CRM. my question is why the email not received if I try to send directly?
    2. what is email server profile use for? is there any article/link is easy to understand?

  • CRM Email Header - From Address

    How do I update the CRM Email header "From Address" with the individual names of our Call Center Agents?

    Hi Micheal,
    It is by design BUG-OM 537040. In Exchange 2013 for a Read Receipt Response on the P2 header's From Address it just has the User Alias it doesn't have the Complete Email Address, but on previous versions it is not the case it has the complete email address.
    When this Response from external address is sent and if it goes through an External Anti-spam like postini,messagelabs,ironport etc., since  it doesn't find the complete address it adds @domain.invalid and processes the message further so the Recipient
    of the message will have the Sender address showing as
    [email protected] and also it will say so and so mail not authorized.

  • Does CRM email router support digitally signed emails?

    Hello There,
    I have configured email router in a one of our test environment to check, i am able to trace incoming mails which has digital signed mails get tracked in CRM. 
    Does CRM email router support digitally signed emails? 
    i am not able to trace mails in to CRM,, have you ever faced this ???? kindly suggest i need this to figure this out.

    Thanks Vinay, glad you got it working. We were having some issues and its related to the level of rollup and whether certain headers are allowed through exchange or not.
    However MS's answer is that it does not work.
    Confusing eh.

    I am looking for a feasibility of BI-CRM report for email campaign.
    which can give me following details :
    No of mails sent.
    No of mails delivered.
    No of mails solicited.
    No of duplicate mails.
    No of bounced mails.
    Can you tell me some datasource or even CRM database table where I can get above fields. Is this kind of data is available in CRM server.

    We can get all the Email related information in 0CRM_ERMS_ITEMS data source.
    Hope we can track all the requirements below..

  • Custom Configuration - CRM Email Center

    Details what it’s occurring:
    1. In Email Center Custom Configuration, I created a new server group: EMC Desenvolvimento
    2. I created the Database Server: OEDES
    3. The DBA confirmed that the Global Name of the Data base is “OESDES”.
    4. I made the Custom Configuration of the Database Server, I typed name “OEDES” in the
    Database Global Name field and clicked update.
    5. After that, when creating the link to Email Server Database for OO user, the following message appears:
    “An error occurred while creating the database link due to invalid Database Global
    Name. Please go to the Database Server page and enter a valid Database Global
    Name.”
    6. I found in Help link the “Creating the Database Server” text- item 9:
    In the Database Global Name field, type the global name of the OES database. This value can be obtained from the GLOBAL_NAME table. It is
    typically a combination of the database SID and the domain name. This field is
    not case sensitive.
    7. Being thus, I typed in the Global Name field a combination of the database SID and the domain name: “OESDES.<domain name>”.
    Other message appeared:
    ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SYS_SQL", line 906 ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SQL", line 39 ORA-06512:
    at "APPS.IEM_DBLINK_PVT", line 302 ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended

    The db link has been created into the CRM database when I've done the Email
    Center configuration.
    CRM database:
    SQL>select db_link,username from dba_db_links;

    OESDES.<domain name>@APPSTO_ORA ORAOFFICE
    Email database:

    This integration is working with every mail application including iphone & blackberry.

    We are having the same problem - when the iphone checks mail, the account locks up and other email clients are unable to access the same account for 15-20 minutes. Not a very efficient business tool. This isn't just a mail.app problem either, it happens with Eudora too. Blackberry and Motorola users are not experiencing the same issues - they're able to check simutaneously with other devices. Maybe there is something that can be done on the mail server end?

    I would suggest to develop custom workflow activity that will send your email using plain text or write a plugin that will handle Send message of email and convert HTML to plain text.

       I want to send emails for 3000 customers at a time. But I don't know the maximum limit, how to check the limit and if i reduce the number of customers then mail is going. please tell me any solution for this.
    Request id is not generating.

    control-click on the group in Address Book and select "edit distribution list". it will let you select the addresses to be used for contacts with multiple emails.

  • CRM Email Tracking - read emails

    Hi,
    Can someone tell me how / whether you can track which emails have been read when you send an email campaign? 
    I understand how the /## can be used to track click throughs on links placed in the email but how can you track whether someone reads something and doesn't click through.

    I have the same problem that I have to track the open rate of a mail and not the open rate of a link.
    It's known as described in the wikipedia article to achieve this with a transparent picture which you have to implement in the mailform.
    I'm able to track the open rate for static mails but not for generated mail campaigns. The dynamically creation of the mig and urlguid doesn't work for pictures.
    Instead of adding a link for tracking I'm adding a picture for tracking
    But the MIG and URLGUID isn't created for them if I start the campaign.
    Therefore I added the MIG and URLGUID manually.
    The result is that now I can see in the marketing contact summary who downloaded the picture and reverse that means that he has opened the mail.
    The problem is: How can I create the tracking Id's dynamically for campaigns?

  • Archiving Emails in CRM

    Hi Experts,
    I am trying to archive E-mails recieved in the CRM system.
    To do so, I am trying to schedule a SARA job to archive WORKITEMS in the system.
    But when I try to execute the report WORKITEM_WRI in test mode and enter the parameters, I get the following error:
    "No work items for archiving exist for your selection".
    Is it the correct way to archive e-mails? Else, what is the exact procedure to be followed for the same.
    Any help on the same would be highly appreciated.

    Work Items archiving and Email archiving is entirely different.
    Important table related to CRM Emails:
    1. CRMD_ERMS_HEADER - Statistical data header
    2. CRMD_ERMS_STEP - Statistical data step
    3. BCST_SR -  Status of Send Orders
    4. SOOD - Object Definition - When email comes to SAP system then this table is updated.
    5. SOC3 -  DB for objects (import/export)- This table contains the content information of the email.
    6. SOFFCONT1 - Table for Document Contents (import/export)- Attachments are updated in this table
    7. SOFFLOIO -   Instances of Logical Information Objects - Only out going emails logical ID are updated in this table
    8. SOFFPHIO - Instances of Physical Information Object - Only out going emails physical ID are updated in this table
    9. SOFFPHFK - File Name of Last Checkout.
    There are 2 things that you have to consider inorder to archive Emails:
    1. Relocate attachments from Incoming and outgoing mails or attachments from SAP Office from table SOFFCONT1 table.
    >> For Relocation you have to run program RSIRPIRL
    2. Archiving of emails in text format from SOC3
    >> For archiving email text in sap office you have to run Mass archivng program from transaction SOY8.
    Suggestion: If you are concerned on SOFFCONT1 table (Normaly it consumes more space in database) then just run the relocation program with all required configurations.
    As email information in SOOD, SOFM, & so on will not occupy more space so you can consider not to archive this.

  • Oracle CRM On Demand Outlook Integration - Add-in shows inactive

    I have followed the steps given in the Oracle CRM On Demand->MySetup.
    After installing the OEI, the dll file is registered.
    In MS outlook->Tools->Trust Center->Add-ins. The Siebel Outlook Integration Add-ins is shown in the "Inactive Application Add-ins".
    How can this be enabled/Active so that Oracle CRM On Demand application is integrated with Microsoft Outlook?
    kindly advice.

    Finally found a solution for this problem:
    In MS Outlook 2007, navigate to Tools->Trust Center->Macro Security-> Select option "Warnings for all macros".
    Restart MS Outlook and the Oracle CRM email Integration buttons will appear..

  • Can you hide the "unique tracking number" in the email subject line?

    I noticed that if I use the "New Activity -> Email" function from the CRM toolbar in Outlook, it appends the subject line with a CRM:XXXXXXX unique tracking number.  I'm not sure that my customers would react very well to knowing that I am tracking this email in my CRM system, so, is there a way to NOT show this number yet still track the email?  From what I've read, we can turn off this feature globally, but that would prevent us from tracking emails all together.  I was wondering why this information wasn't just stored in the header of the email instead of being blatantly obvious in the subject line.  FYI, we are on CRM 4.0.

    Hi Dave,
    although Dynamics CRM uses the tracking token to match the mail with specific records, it doesn't rely completly on that token.
    There is also a feature called smart matching which is used to assign the mails.

    CRM processes Web forms much the same as regular emails. Logically there are 3 parts for Webform to CRM integration:
    a) External web application: This is the application hosting the web form page.
    b) Webform to Email conversion: The external application needs to convert the web form data to an email and send to CRM.
    c) Webform fact gathering service (CRM): The webform fact gathering service analyzes the email structure extracts relevant information and adds this to factbase. This information may be used during rule evaluation or for other purpose.
    To facilitate processing of Web forms, the external application first converts Web-form data into standard email format (i.e., SMTP) with an XML attachment.  As a convention, you must name the Web form WEBFORM.XML.
    Technologies such as Sun JavaMail or Microsoft ASP.NET can perform the conversion as long as the resulting email contains an attached XML document with the following mandatory tags:
    1. name of the Web form
    <WEBFORM_ID> </WEBFORM_ID>
    2. ID of Web form email address as defined in the CRM system; determines the u201CFromu201D email address
    <WEBFORM_ACCOUNT> </WEBFORM_ACCOUNT>
    3. ID of the inbound CRM email address as defined in the CRM system (transaction CRM_ERMS_OUTG_EMAIL)
    <ERMS_EMAILID> </ERMS_EMAILID>
