CRM Email Router & Email Configuration

Hi All,
I have some question related email router & email configuration in MS CRM 2015. I test using gmail account for both CRM email and contact email (different gmail account).
1. I try send from my gmail to CRM directly, the result is the email not received in CRM. but if I try from CRM to my gmail using email activities first, after email received in my gmail inbox and reply back the email, I have received new email activities
in CRM. my question is why the email not received if I try to send directly?
2. what is email server profile use for? is there any article/link is easy to understand?
thanks.

hi Erro,
why I asked is to check if email router machine account is added into the priv user group.

  • CRM 2013 Email Router Issue

We configured email router using Office 365 Exchange Online. Followed everything as mentioned in "http://blogs.msdn.com/b/niran_belliappa/archive/2014/04/10/installing-and-configuring-the-e-mail-router-for-exchange-online-and-crm-online.aspx".
Test access is also success. But when I tried to send email from CRM it is not working. The status is still in "Pending Send". Please suggest some solution if you aware of this issue.
    Thanks,

Thanks for the response. Link was useful.  Now we are able to send mail only using the same account which we have used for Outgoing profile connection. Couldn't Identify what is the issue. PFB screenshots of the configured outgoing profile.

    Thanks,

    Vinay Kumar.

Thanks Vinay, glad you got it working. We were having some issues and its related to the level of rollup and whether certain headers are allowed through exchange or not.
However MS's answer is that it does not work.
    Confusing eh.

    Hi there,
Please can you tell em is the CRM 2011 email router is able to process digitally signed emails, as our just seems to ignore them.
Its annoying as you can track the email manually, but not through the email router at the moment.

  • Can CRM 2015 Online use the CRM 2013 Email Router?

We are trying to plan our upgrade to CRM 2015 Online from CRM 2013 Online. We currently use the CRM 2013 Email Router and want to know if we need to upgrade the email router immediately after the CRM server is upgraded or if we could wait a short period
of time. I searched but could not find any information on the Email Router compatibility. Does anyone have any information?

Why are you using the email router if your Exchange Server is also Online?  Dynamics CRM Online has Server Sync built in so it will directly communicate to Exchange Online.  Much better solution than rolling up an email Router.
Also, if you don't have access to the Exchange server, I' doubt there's much you can do, since you don't have all the tools you need to troubleshoot the issue.

  • 2011 email router digital signature problem

    Hi,
We're running 2011 on premise with the email router feeding a queue for service items.
We've recently seen a number of emails that hit the mail box but don't ever get processed by the email router. There are no errors in the event logs that we can see, it just seems to ignore them.
What we are noticing though is that the emails that get missed have digital signatures on them.
Has anyone come across this before? There doesn't appear to be anything about this is any of the documentation that we can see.
I've searched high and low for any information on this but I've drawn a blank everywhere.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
my guess is that it could be due to email is not send directly to primary SMTP which is configured in email router for your queue, it could be possible this email is send to other alias and if this is the case CRM ignores those email.
for e.g. here is how you mail box is set up
[email protected]  (mail box, primary SMTP, configured as queue in CRM to send recieve mail )
[email protected] (alias for above mailbox)
so if email is send to "[email protected]" it will be received in outlook mail box but CRM will not pick it as it does not have any matching queue set up for this.

  • Exchange 2010 route email to SAP smtp server

    Hi,
we have a Exchange2010 infrastructure, i need to route email received to a specific address: [email protected], to a SAP smtp server: serverip:25000
    How can i obtain this?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Please review note 455140.
Settings on the mail server (SAP-external configuration)
To be able to receive mails in the SAP system, you need to set your mail server so that certain mail addresses are forwarded to one or several SAP systems or clients. For this purpose, you need to define routing rules that assign a mail host and/or port to address areas (generic address parts, usually the domain), for example:
           *@crm-prod.company.com  -->  SAPWASHost:25000
           *@crm-test.company.com  -->  SAPWASHost:25001
For more information about the exact setting procedure, see the mail server documentation.
    Thank you.
    Best regards,
    Ciarán

  • CRM 2011: Sending Email through Outlook first

We have never used Email through CRM. Is it possible to send an email through Outlook first then to CRM? Also wanting to make sure it is linked to the Account, when sent.

Emails created in CRM are sent using the outgoing email method specified on the account of the user creating the email. Only one outgoing method can be set for a user, the methods are to use the CRM client for Outlook or the Email Router (later versions
of CRM also have Server-side synchronization but that is not available for CRM 2011).
An email created in CRM can only be sent via one of the outgoing methods. Regardless of how it is sent, the email will be stored in CRM and linked to the record it was regarded to.
Can you provide more detail on your question?

  • Routing email for an internal Mail server\domain to the Internet in Exchange 2010.

    Hello;
We have an Exchange environment with multiple servers and multiple mail domains.  One of our overseas domains/servers is down at the moment because of a damaged cable somewhere in the Pacific...  We would like to be able to
route email bound for that domain (xyz.cn) from our domain (xyz.com) thru the internet as their server still receives external traffic.  How ever since we are one great big AD/Exchange Forest email automatically gets routed by AD connection.
Is there a way to send this email out thru the Internet?  We are being told that the "SHIP" will not be onsite for the repair for another week and then it will be 4-5 days for the repair.  any help is appreciated.

You could probably investigate Internal or External Relay Domains.
The basic idea is that you configure the accepted domain for xyz.cn in one organization as a relay domain. Then setup a send connector with the
xyz.cn domain as the name space, using smart hosts on the internet.
If the Exchange org receives mail for xyz.cn it will accept it, but can't deliver it as there is no recipient mailbox in the org. It will then forward mail across the smart host.
I'm not sure if this will work in your case or not, as it will depend on DNS configuration, etc (you don't want to forward mail to a smart host, only to have it deliver it straight back to you). It's something for you to think about though.
Another option is to use a network level solution, such as an internet based VPN. However, this is not really the forum for that.
Hope it works out for you

  • Routed email to iPhone 4s?

I have an iPhone 4s & am having issues configuring email setup for the iPhone. I have comcast as my ISP- and have a comcast email address. But I prefer to have all email routed through my domain email (not comcast), so that a single email address with my domain name is all anyone sees. So my email is routed through the comcast acount, but appears with my domain name eamil address (If I use the Comcast email only then the address becomes [email protected])
In the set up options for iPhone, I have input:
    Name:   (my name)
Address:   xxxxxxxxx.com (my domain name email address)
    Description:   ( my name)
    Incoming mail server
    Host name:   mail.comcast.net
User Name: xxxxxxx (comcast user name)
    Password: (comcast email password)
    Outgoing:
    Host Name: comcast.net
I am unable to complete the setup this way. I used the same info on my new MacBook Pro & it works flawlessly. Suggestions appreciated.

Do you mean on Photo Stream? Not sure what you are referring to, or how they would have gotten to the other device. Only Photo Stream is shared between devices on the same iCloud account.
What "photos" are you referring to?

  • Routing email from exchange 2007 to 2010 .

    Although this is an
hypothetical question but still would be a great help if anyone could answer this :  " How email routing takes place from exchange 2007 user
to exchange 2010 user. I have exchange 2007 and 2010 ,provided i am using single forest with same domain name in both 2007 & 2010 environment "
    Aditya Mediratta

    Hi,
Firstly,I'd like to explain, message routing from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010 is message delivery between responsed Hub Transport servers:
When a Hub Transport server queries Active Directory to determine the Mailbox server hosting the destination mailbox, it also retrieves the version of the Mailbox server. If the Mailbox server is an Exchange 2007 server that's in the same site as the Hub Transport
server, the Hub Transport server will relay the message to an Exchange 2007 Hub Transport server in the same Active Directory site.
For more information about the emails routing process, you can refer to the following articles:

My wife and I share the same email address but have separate IPhones. We would like to have each phone individually on "find friends" but cannot do it via email route. How is it done?

make seperate appleID's if you wish to be frinds or if you wish to facetime video chat and if you wish to not recieve the samme imessage msg's unless you turn it off
you can still set both your iphones to use an email address even if both have different appleId's
the appleID is a handle not a link to an email address
