CRM Imp in SolMan

Hi Experts,
We are implementing CRM using SolMan and We need to get these transacations (Most of the TCODES which are web UI menu paths) loaded into Solman for SNC/EM/CRM.
how to capture web UI menu paths for SNC / EM / CRM (in SolMan)  which are not true tcodes like in ECC?
I assume we should still capture these UI menu paths somewhere in Solman.
Thank you very much,
niranjan

Hi Niranjan,
Good to know that it is solved. Would be great if you can share that info.

Krishna

I have already create the same categorization in both ZMIN (Incident), ZMPR (problem) and ZNAR (Knowledge Article).
Below are my config.. i still dont know what is missing:-
    Appreciate experts help.
i have followed steps as per other SCN but its still not working.

    Shahul

    Hi Shahul,
Can you please check the following
Ensure that you assign your knowledge article in the application areas of the schema (screen shot attached)
If the system needs to auto suggest knowledge article click on the specific categorization assignment block as shown below
You can then scroll below and assign the specific knowledge article(screen shot attached below) to the categorization.
If you catalog category for the schema configurations are with category type C, then the know article assignment block would be below(check next screen shot) however if the same is D then the knowledge article assignment block would be above when you click on more in your service requests incidents problems.
    As explained above(attached screen shots)
However ensure that you select the correct categorization entry and then navigate to the knowledge article assignment block and click on auto suggest(as explained above)
Also ensure that in one your above screen shots the catalog category for knowledge article transaction type should be causes as highlighted below and the same should be unchecked.

  • Installing CRM question and SOLMAN Generate Required Key

    Hi everyone,
I have been trying to install the sap crm 5.0 , but there is a section where the installer asks for some Solutions Manager Key that i need to generate on the SAP SOLMAN. The thing is that i dont have any sap solman running.
I have been reading several posts where basically its says that is a req. that sap established for the crm systems.
    Anyways, i have 2 questions.
    1. Installing the SAP SOLMAN is just the same process as installing r/3 or crm, that i need to update the OS, install the dbms (upgrade it and patch it), get the kernel, export, installation master cd's and well follow the inst guide?
Or there is something else i need to have, like an r/3 system  running ?
    2. It's possible if i give to you guys the SAP SID, Instance Number, Hostname,  of the crm environment i want to install, that somebody with solman generates the key for me?
    Thanx in advance.

SolMan is a complete separate system with separate database, combined ABAP + Java instance, so to say an "R/3 system running" (to speak with your words).

that is possible - but you won't be able to get patches and updates after April 2nd of this year, SolMan and Maintenance Optimizer is mandatory till then.

  • How to transfer SLD data from PI 7.1 to Solman 7.0

    Hi
. I Have a Landscape with Solman 7.0 (Central SLD) and PI 7.0 (DEV, QLT,PRD)-- Local SLD's, now customer wants to update from PI 7.0 to PI 7.1.
PI Local SLD's are pointing to Central SLD of Solman through SLD data Bridge.
But if i upgrade PI from 7.0 to 7.1 (with SLD 7.1), where should be my Central SLD ???  as SAP recommands we are not supposed to set a Central sld which is of lower version as in my case Solman with SLD still on 7.0 (To forward data from Local SLd to Central SLD -- pre requists either SLD version should be same or Hiegher) but they are on  SOLMAN 7.0
    Karthik

    Hi,
Ok i will be more precise on my question.
we have a landscape consisting ECC,SRM,CRM,PI and SOLMAN, (DEV,QTY,PRD) they are all on 7.0 version.
To my knowledge DEV,QTY,PRD systems Data Suppliers are pointing to Local SLDs respective PI (DEV,QTY,PRD) ie all DEV systems -> PI Local SLD and all QTY systems -> PI QTY and All PRD systems are Pointing to PI (PRD)
SLD Data is transferred from Local SLDs to central SLD in this way using Bridge Forwarding
PI DEV -> PI QTY, then from PI QTY to PI PRD and Finally  From PI PRD to Cental SLD on SOL
PI DEV -> PI QTY->PI PRD -> SOL (CENTRAL) all are on 7.0.
Now Customer wants to upgrade PI 7.0 to PI 7.1. then if upgrade is done to PI (DEV,QTY,PRD)
The Bridge forwarding will remain the same like this
PI DEV(7.1) -> PI QTY(7.1)->PI PRD(7.1) till here its fine now how to forward to the Central SLD of SOLMAN as its is still on 7.0 version
I Have read from the SMP that Bridge Forwarding from 7.1(in my case PI) i to 7.0 (in my case SOL)is Not allowed
But Bridge forwarding from 7.0 to 7.1 is allowed,
PI DEV(7.1) -> PI QTY(7.1)->PI PRD(7.1) <- SOL , Now central SLD will be PI PRD.
if i do so SOL will not be Central SLD any more and then how SOL can generate  EWA and other Solutions without SLD Data from Sat systems
Please provide me a solution for this.
    Thanks

    Hello Experts,
I need your help in understanding in Solution Manager in SAP CRM.
I searched the forum but couldn't find exact idea about Solution Manager in SAP CRM on my doubts.
I request the experts to help me-
    1)     Is Solman is a must for SAP CRM? Does without Solman SAP CRM can run efficiently?
    2)     In Solman we save the documentation (blueprints, specs etc) link or save the file itself?
    3)     My understanding about SOLMAN is- its guide in SAP CRM for implementation, support, rollout etc we can follow- am I right?
    4)     Does navigation to SAP CRM is through Solution Manager? Any connectivity in between these two (SAP CRM & Solman) reflect modifications done in each component automatically?
Does anybody have documentation about solution manager about its navigation & paths etc please send me.

    Responses:
    1) If you are a new customer and want to install CRM you must have access to a Solution Manager system to generate the installation keys. You also need Solution Manager to download patches.
    2) You save the file in the Knowledge Warehouse functions of the system, you can also save a link if you want to host the file on for example a sharepoint server. Your choice
    3) Dont understand which guide you mean. But SOlman cannot be used as a CRM system. (technically yes you can, but you then have to license it as a CRM-system).
    4) Solution Manager is based on CRM and it might look like there is a CRM-system. IT is also possible to use target system navigation so you can start the transaction in the CRM-system (not the CRM-functions in Solman).
    Finally.
    See the systems as separated.
If you need CRM-functions, Install a separate CRM-system and let it have its own lifecycle.
Install and use Solution Manager for Application Lifecycle Management!

  • Creating support notification (Solution Manager) from Web UI SAP CRM

    Hi,
We have integrated Solution Manager (SM) with SAP CRM.
Does SAP support has solution with support notification ?
How we can create support notification from Web UI SAP CRM ?
    Denis.

    Hi
There is a major change of inclusion of CRM ITSM in solman 7.1 that is why you might be confused.
    Anyway let me explain
enter the tcode solman_workcenter in solman choose the incident management tab
now  on the left side you can see an action for Create support message
thus clicking on it will open the browser for posting messages
(the same can be shared with end user for message posting )
further once posted it is accessible in this incident management tab for further processing and you get the status wise queries in overview.
    hope its clear now
    regards

  • Support Desk Message Creation in SOLUTION MANAGER  through  External Emails

    Hello Experts,
I am a ABAP Developer , as mentioned in subject, my part is to Create support desk message in solution manager, through external Emails like outlook Express . To do this task i  am in need of more information about some  componenets which are used in solution manager support desk Message.
          My Doubts are,
    1) What is the use of Ibasecomponent in Message Creation?
    2) What if the ibasecomponent is mentioned as a defaut value ' 24 ' ( i.e is the ibasecomponent for solution manager - support desk ) ?
    3) To track the system from which the message is created , is ibase required or the SAP component will give those information?
If anyone has already worked with this subject, please give me some suggestions ASAP.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Mohana

    Hello Mohana,
Let see if I can explain this well:
    1) What is the use of Ibasecomponent in Message Creation?
When you define a Solution in the SOLMAN, you need to update your Ibase
    Edit->Initial Data transfer for Ibase
This create a tree structure in the ibase IB52, as you can see in the attachment.
You get a componet number for SID-Client
You can configure the SOLMAN in a way that when a message arrives from
    <System ID> <Installation Number> <Client> <User Name>
this is what solman knows from a message comming from a satellite, them you
know directly from which component/ibase the message has been received.
This is important data, the component/ibase, for reporting issue, for assigning this component to a sold-to-party (being in IB52, left tree, select a system and go to Goto->Partner  you can assign a Sold-to party BP there for example)
    2) What if the ibasecomponent is mentioned as a defaut value ' 24 '
By default the SOLMAN system has a Intalled base 01 already created for being used and maintained "automatically":
being in dswp, solution : Edit->Initial Data transfer for Ibase
If not you msut maintain the ibase manually from IB52, this is also possible.
The Ibase 01 is a prconfigured iBase for being used for the SOLMAN application.
Tink that the SOLMAN system is built up a CRM system, so the IBase is CRM matter. SOLMAN is only using some CRM applications to build the Service Desk scenario for example.
I3) To track the system from which the message is created , is ibase required or the SAP component will give those information?
    Ibase is required
    Hope this helps,
    Dolores

  • Business Function Set: Enterprise AddOns in Solution Manager

    Hello
For testing purposes I want to activate the Enterprise AddOn EA_PLM in transaction SFW5 inside a Solution Manager 4 installation but no Enterprise AddOn is available. Additionally there is only one Business Function Set called "telco reference pack" with two Business Functions. Do I have to set up something before I can active the Enterprise AddOns? I thought PLM is part of the Solution Manager 4 installation.

    Hello Marc,
the Solution Manager consists "only" of an CRM-component, the SolMan component itself and the Netweaver 2004s platform. So no PLM (and no Enterprise AddOn) is available. SolMan coves some functionalities of Software Lifecycle Management, but does not include the PLM coding itself. For EA_PLM you need an ERP system.

  • Solution manager system log - strange entries

    Hi Everyone,
the problem we are facing in Solution Manager system log every five minutes appears a new error message:
2 Database error -30082 at CON
    0 > SQL30082N Security processing failed with reason "24"
    0 > ("USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD INVALID"). SQLSTATE=08001
First of all the landscape: ECC, BI, CRM, PI and Solman. Each system is DEV, QUA, PRD - except Solution Manager.
Result of going to see the logs within work directory:
    Connect to %_DCR_XXXXX as db2dcr with DB6_DB_NAME=DCR;DB6_DB_HOST=xxxxxx;DB6_DB_SCHEMA=SAPSR3;DB6_DB_SVCENAME=5912

C  *** ERROR => DbSlConnect to 'DCR' as 'db2dcr' failed
    [dbdb6.c      1732]
Some of the systems are being connected successfully and the error messages in SM21 are not related to those systems. But some of the systems like DCR cannot be reached. And this fact causing the error messages.
I haven't configured Solution Manager because I have joined the project later. I would like to know what job is trying to access the satellite system and for what purpose.
On solution manager side I have checked all the scheduled background jobs - all of them have been executed successfully.
There some of them are scheduled but it is hard understand what is purpose of the job.
I have checked and corrected system landscape through SMSY and have maintained all the RFCs. They all OK now.
What else could force to make a connection to satellite system? And where is the place where it is hardcoded local(satellite) db2 connection entry?
Like I said before, some of the systems are being connected but some not. The one which has not been connected - there was recently changed SAP master password. I believe this is the key to resolve the problem. But the system itself operating 100% correctly.
Perhaps it could be CCMS that makes some extra connections to collect the data from the monitored systems. But I have checked all the RFC's in SM59 and they were OK.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kind regards,
    Artjom.

    Kaustubh Krishna,
    thank you for respond.
It was dbacockpit. The connection was maintained with old db2sid password. And it was causing problematic log entries.
    Problem was solved.
    Points awarded.
    Thanks,
    kind regards,

  • CPS licensing for all the PRD systems

    Hi
I have gone thorough the blog that relates to the CPS licensing, i haven't got the clear view that how this licensing stuff works for my scenario..so kindly assist me with the below scenario...
There are  4 systems for my client like SAP R/3, SAP CRM , SAP B/W and SAP Soltion Manager, now we are planning to go  for CPS Tool in order avoid the pitfalls in our batch procesing.if i want to run CPS on all the production systems  i mean to say 4 production systems  how many server processers are required..and agents and adopters are required, and please sensitize me in terms of Agents , adopters and Server processes like what exactly they are, and for my R/3 Production system they  is 1-CI(central Instance) and 4 APP servers , and for Solman there is only 1-CI and for CRM only 1-CI and BW there is 1-CI and 1-APP server , all our systems are  running on Windows server 2003 and 2008, even we are planning  our CPS  to be on 2008  and SQL 2008..so kindly advise me in terms of the licensing like how many adapters and how many agents and how many server processers are realy required. is it required to pay anything in order to integrate CPS with Solution Manager...Thanks.

    Hi Phaneendra,
CPS has a very simple licence model. The only licensed item on the SAP price list is called a Process Server.
For each SAP instance where you want to control  jobs you need a CPS Process Server. In your case: R3, CRM, BW and Solman is 4 Process Servers.
Then you need to look at any non SAP events that you want to monitor or control. Like maybe an FTP file event or some data load comming from a non SAP application.  On every server where you have these non SAP events you need to configure an additional Process Server.
Every Process Server includes a license for 1 Production environment and 3 non production environments (dev, test, fail over)
For the Solution Manager Adapter you do not require a Process Server License but if you have Solution Manager events that you want to control you have to configure a Process Server.
    Does this answer your question?
Let me know if you need additional support.

    Richard Lock, Redwood Software.

  • Charm shortcut to redirect to transaction number

    Hi Guys,
i have a tricky question regarding the charm workcenter. If I choose an existing transaction in Charm workcenter (web based) I get a little SAP shortcut and this shortcut forward me direct into the related transaction number in SAP.(Ta: crmd_order )
I would like to use this functionality for automatic email replay within the charm workflow, means I would like to fill the SAP Script form with an URL (consist of a static part and the transaction number ) and this URL forward the workflow user direct into the transaction.
The generating and filling of the shortcut (by an URL)  already works but the shortcut created by me, forward only into the entry screen of SAP and not in transaction crmd_order.
If I compare the content of both shortcuts ( once created by myself and once created by SAP standard scenario) I see the difference and probably the problem:
shortcut of SAP standard:   works and forward me into TA crmd_order transaction number 8000000243
    *AGS_WORK_LAUNCHER pcmd=CRMD_ORDER;pname1=id;pvalue1=DF4DE55AE1AB92F188CB0019BB36EE72;
shortcut created by myself: does not work, forward only into the entryscreen of SAP
    *AGS_WORK_LAUNCHER pcmd=CRMD_ORDER;pname1=id;pvalue1=8000000243;
It seems, the SAP standard translate the transaction number during runtime into a key and only the request with this key works correct.
The URL, which creates my shortcut looks like this: http://myserver.com:8000/sap/bc/ags_workcenter/ags_work_appln?CMD=CRMD_ORDER&%7esolmanwrkgui=SAPSHORTCUT&ID=8000000243
Has anybody an idea? Its a very usefull functionality (if it works) because workflow users don't need personalized queries to find, for ex.,  a change request which needs to confirmed by themself.
Thanks in advance for any kind of help.
    Rayko

    Hello Rayko,
It seems, the SAP standard translate the transaction number during runtime into a key and only the request with this key works correct.
The hexadecimal key is the unique identifier for a CRM Order in SolMan called GUID. You will be able to find the relation between the message number (called object ID) and the GUID in table CRMD_ORDERADM_H.

    Hi,
On What system you are applying the SP, usually the BP defined in ECC, CRM , SRM and Solman. Business partner can be defined in the system as
    1).  Natural person (private individual)
2). Group (e.g. married couple, shared living arrangement)
3). Organization (e.g. company, department in a company, club, association)
