SOLMAN 7.1 SP10 CRM UI Service Desk - How to clear / remove Message Processor on a particular status

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to remove the stated Message Processor, when the incident / Service Desk ticket is being saved using a particular status (Eg: Sent to Level 1).
Appreciate if someone can guide me how this can be done (whether using simple PPF (tcode SPPFCADM) or we are forced to use BFR+
Thanks in advance

• Service Desk: How do i Reply back to a support message?

I am in the process of configuring the servcie desk.
I am using Solution manager 4.0 sp13.
I am recieving the messages in the Service desk, and the suport team members are able to get their respective messges based on the PFAC responsibility rules.
How do the support team members reply back to the message creater about the completion of the work,?
Or
put it another way, how does a mesage creater in a satellite system know the status of his message?
Lalchand.R

Hi Lalchand,
An action can be defined in configuration (SPRO) for sending mail notification to message creators whenever the message gets a particular status.
You can copy the standard action ' Email message to creator' under the SLFN action profile and change the conditions for automatic trigger.

• CRM Related Questions for Configuring Service Desk in Solution Manager

Hi All,
We have 3 requirements while configuring service desk in solution manager:
1) Is there any possibility that we can restrict view of messages in solman for different teams. E.g: Finance Support team should not view message raised for Material Management Team ?
2) Is there any possibility in service desk that we can assign message on the basis of location e.g: message raised for finance from location A should go to different support team of finance and for location B, it should go to different finance team ?
3) Is there any possibility that we can make some question necessary while user is raising very high priority message from satellite system e.g: when we raise Very high priority message on service market place, we need to answer few mandatory questions ?
I tried to search these functionality in standard scenario but I am not able to find something relevant. Please suggest.
Thanks
Sunny

Hi Rama,
I Need to configure the feature to generate a ticket to SAP directly in VERY HIGH priority.
Could you please help me out into this. If you have any doc related to that Please send me.

• In solman 4.0 how to send message to SAP through service desk

Dear all,
I have configured service desk functionality, My requirement is from service desk how to send message to SAP.
Regards,
Pavan.

Hi,
Following the steps:
ƒBasic configuration - RFC Connections to SAP
Check if the RFC Connectino SAPOSS is working properly
Check if load distribution group is set to EWA
The RFC Connections:
- SAP-OSS (Send Message to SAP)
- SAP-OSS-LIST-O01 (Update Message from SAP)
will be created automatically by the system with a user which has been assigned
previously.
IMG Path: SAP Web Application Server | SAP Web Application Server | SAP Solution Manager| Basic Settings | SAP Solution Manager System | Connection to SAP | Assign user for forwarding Service Desk Message
With transaction SM59 you can adjust the RFC connections.
- For further information on SAP R/3 Front-end connections, see SAP Notes: 33135, 766505, 24177
- To forward Service Desk notifications and Issues to SAP, you need to assign a user to the SAPNet R/3
Front-end connection to SAP.
Activities:
- 1. From the SAP Solution Manager (transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER), choose (Edit-> Global Settings.
- 2. Choose Display<->Change.
- 3. For SAP Service Marketplace, specify http://service.sap.com as the URL.
- 4. In the Connection to SAP tab, specify SAPOSS as the RFC destination. Note that the entry is casesensitive.
- 5. For User forwading messages, enter a valid user and a password. This user will require all the authorizations for SAPNet R/3 Front-end for your customer number.
- 6. Save your changes.
The system automatically generates the following RFC destinations and assigns the S-User and password you specified: SAP-OSS, SAP-OSS-LIST-O01

• Service desk RFC destination in the Satellite system

HI All,
can any body tell me the RFC destination that is to be maintianed in the satellite system so that the message reaches the solution manager service desk.
I am creating messages they are being send to the service desk successfully but are not visible when I go into the service desk of the solution.
But they are visible through the transaction code CRM_DNO_MONITOR .Can any body help the RFC destination to be maintaned in the BCOS_CUST table so that the message reaches the Service Desk.]
Currently I am using the RFC destination to the service desk client in the solution manager ie SIDCLNT200
Thanks in advance
Regards
Amit

Hi Amit,
I think your expectation is not correct. I understood, you can create a message in a satellite system and you can see the ticket in SolMan service desk. Then everything is configured correct. What you are now looking for is to see the ticket in a solution when the sat. system is part of the solution. This is not working. If you create out of a solution a service desk ticket, these ticket get a special attribute that they belong to this solution, all other tickets can not be selected by a solution.
Sorry but I am quite sure that it is working like this.
There is only one option, that you define special variants so you can see only tickets from special systems, but these variants can not be assigned to a solution.

• Send mail from service desk.

Hello,
I need some advise on sending emails from within the service desk using the Email to Message Creator (Mail) feature. This doesn't seem to be working at the moment for our v4.0 Solman installation.
I have already configured SAPconnect and the SMTP gateway has been setup to allow outbound email from Solman to a mail server - I have tested this using the business workplace by sending an email to my email account and that works.
I have been review numerous notes do I need to install the WP-PI for our installation BASIS 7.00. ITS has already been configured.
Thanks and Regards,
H

Dear Hardeep,
The issue that you have raised is very curious. However it does not
relate directly to Solution Manager. In principle it is possible to
send an email to an external receipient from SAP System with an link to
an Business object.
Please find the following SAP Note(s) for your review:
(1) 880203 SAPconnect: sending business objects
(2) 196171 Required table entries f. workplace server system
Note 880203 is directly related to note 530932 but offers a much better
solution, if your system configuration doesn't include and ITS server.
In general: when an object link is send to an external address,
the object is converted to an URL which allows direct access to
the object/SAP system.
To generate the URL you will need to perform some customizing as has
been described in note 530932, e.g. the name of the web server, etc.
You will alos have to perform additional table customizing as per note
196171:
In addition to the names for the component systems, the workplace server
system must also have an own entry in table TBDLS that corresponds to
the entry of the respective client in table T000.
Quote //
If this data is not maintained, note 880203 offers the solution that
the message is send as normal text or html without link. So, the
recipient is still informed about the issue and can logon to the
SAP system on his prefered way, open the object and do the required
task.
So, please apply the correction from note 880203. In t-cd SCOT you can
choose on your mail server node, if the object message should be send
as text or as html. If the URL is generated within the document depends
on the customizing you did in the workplace/Url tables mentioned in
notes 530932 and 196171
UnQuote //
I hope that the above information is to your satisfaction.

Amit

• BC Sets for Service desk 7.1

We are currently upgrading our SolMan from SolMan 7.0 Ehp1 to 7.1 SP08. To fast track our configuration activities, we would like to use BC sets. I have googled for the list of BC sets needed for the SolMan scenarios (e.g Service desk, Solution Implementation..) but was unfortunate to find one.
We came across a statement from SAP documents that the BC sets functions are replaced with the piece list containing the standard customizing.
Kindly help provide the list of BC sets needed for Solman 7.1 scenarios(e.g Service desk).
Thank you.
Grace

Hi Grace
In 7.1 you dont activate BC sets. they are replace by piece lists. You can find this under the Guided Procedure under the path i supplied you above. The BC sets that you see in SCPR20 are only relevent for solman 7.0. Please view the following link it will aslo help you to setup your service desk in 7.1. This is also where they meation that bc sets are no longer used in 7.1.

• Strengths and flaccidities of Service Desk

Hi all.
In your opinion, what are common strengths and flaccidities of the Service Desk in the Solution Manager? What things are important to name when talking about the Service Desk and his strengths and flaccidities?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards, Daniela

Hi Daniela,
some hints on strengths of Service Desk within SAP Solution Manager.
- SAP Standard
- Part of Standard Maintenance (see SAP Note 628901)
- Messages can be created in any SAP System and will be saved in SAP Solution Manager.
Context data (system id, client, user, language, transaction, Kernel Level, Support Package level, ...) is collected automatically .
Attachments are possible
- Integrated Solution Data Base with TREX search
- Search for SAP Notes
- Flexible adaption via customizing possible.
- Forwarding messages directly to SAP (Service Marketplace)
- Open bidirectional interface to Third-Party Help Desk.

• Message creation from Service Desk when Message Processor field is updated

I want our Service Desk system to create a message to the message processor only after the message processor field is updated. I do not want it to send e-mails when there is a status update. Any ideas?

Hi,
You can have the email on status update, but make it partner dependant.so that action will be executed whenever you put bp for processor and save without changing status.

Hi Shahul,
Can you please check the following
Ensure that you assign your knowledge article in the application areas of the schema (screen shot attached)
If the system needs to auto suggest knowledge article click on the specific categorization assignment block as shown below
You can then scroll below and assign the specific knowledge article(screen shot attached below) to the categorization.
If you catalog category for the schema configurations are with category type C, then the know article assignment block would be below(check next screen shot) however if the same is D then the knowledge article assignment block would be above when you click on more in your service requests incidents problems.
As explained above(attached screen shots)
However ensure that you select the correct categorization entry and then navigate to the knowledge article assignment block and click on auto suggest(as explained above)
Also ensure that in one your above screen shots the catalog category for knowledge article transaction type should be causes as highlighted below and the same should be unchecked.

• CRM IT Help Desk vs Sotuion Manager service desk

Hello Experts!
Can someone please tell me about CRM IT Help Desk vs Solution Manager Service Desk and if they are two independent products? I want to see if these two 2 different products? since Solution Manager Service desk is based on CRM 5.0, can I setup CRM IT Help Desk? and make SOLMAN Service Desk and CRM IT Help desk together work together?
Please advice!
Thanks
Kumar

Hey Kumar,
There is nothing called as CRM IT HELPDESK......
But a CRM system could function as an IT helpdesk.........It depends on your requirements as to how you are gonna use it.....
CRM and SOLMAN are two independant products of SAP and both run on diffrent servers...
Solman has lot of features of CRM itself....
Solution Manager also has its own service desk... Solman is based on CRM itself technically.....
So whatever is doable in CRM is also Doable in Solman......The vice-versa is not true.....because in Solman SAP has added some functionality which is not present in CRM.....
You can configure Support desk in CRM and Solman and also make them work together if it makes sense for you and your management to do so......
Technically since both are SAP systems they can communicate via RFC calls.....
Inspire by rewarding...
Regards,
Anand

Hi Gurus!
We are creating a service desk message in R\3 system that should be displayed in SOLMAN. But it is not displayed in solution manager. Could you please specify what steps shouls i have to do inorder to get that message displayed.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards,

Hi,
did you search with the message number?
If you still don't find it change the selection criteria in CRM_DNO_MONITOR.
Check Destination that you have maintained in R/3 under SM30, for object BCOS_CUST.
Provide as much as info possible when u r posting message on sdn, to get immediate positive response.

• Service Desk Issue in SolMan 4.0 - Installation Number differrence

Hi all,
I am in the process of setting up Service Desk in SolMan 4.0. When I create a message in my satellite system, the message is sent successfully and appears in my Solution Manager. However, I have red light appearing. This is because I need to provide Sold-To Party and Reported By Business Partner entries in the support message. My understanding, please correct me if I am wrong, is that these entries can be automatically filled based on iBase information. I have followed the IMG to setup the iBase.
Upon further investigation, I noticed the following problem. My installation number in the satellite should be XXXXXXXXXX, this is reflected in the System Landscape and iBase. But, when I look at the SAP Attributes tab in the Support Message, the installation number is YYYYYYYYYY. I think that this difference is a possible cause of my problem at hand.
This was the problem as there was an entry in table BCOS_CUST with YYYYYYYYYY in the satellite system. Can anyone tell me where this entry came from? Could this be from configuration of Service Desk?
Thanks,
Robert

Thank you very much!
The problem is solved!
Im my case was necessary to apply SAP Note 1055630.
I have assigned the role "SAP_SM_S_USER_GRP" to the user with RFC_READ connection, refreshed the last alert in DSWP and tha is.
