1. What is the role of a CRM functional consultant for an implementation project ? Ex : Service.
2. What all are the possible customizing he should do in CRM Service ?
3. Also what all are the customizing he should do IC Web client ?

If this is true, all of the work that's been done with the development of EJBs can be preserved, and other system will make calls to the SOAP container in order to get access to the web services provided.

In ERP Service, we have a concept of task list which would be assigned to a service product. The task list is nothing but a list of text items which informs the technician of what he is supposed to do when he carry out a specific service.
How is this realized in CRM?
In ERP Service, they do have a concept called BOM where they maintain the services and spare parts that can be used to service a object part. This BOM get automatically exploded when the object part is used in the service order.
How is this realized in CRM?
We have a concept called product proposals which work in a similar way u2013 but it also proposes the up-sell, cross-sell and accessories that are relevant to the product in addition to that of the services and spare parts. The concept of service templates can be used. However if you use With template option in the order, there would not be any automatic template proposal for the reference object.
Please let me know if the ERP concepts can be well addressed in CRM as well.

In CRM, you can create sevice products as sub items to represent different tasks that a service tech should perform. These service products will be a part of main service product and will not be relevent to cost, resource planning, billling.
In CRM , In House repair order has concept called Diagnosis product , under which you can add service products to represents repair steps. In ERP Service, they do have a concept called BOM where they maintain the services and spare parts that can be used to service a object part. SammThe role depends on Project to Project. He may directly face customer in order to understand the business requirement and map it into CRM System. He may also have to create functional specs so that technical team can later on subsequently do their job.
SPRO configuration is totally under his job. Apart from that he will have to do functional testing so as to ensure that development is in sync with business requirement.

General Question re logical workflow (Multiple Products/Sales Teams)
Currently we are upgrading from a highly customized CRM environment developed in CRM 4.0. We are hoping to move to an out of the box solution with 2015.
But I have a general question. We are a service company with different sales groups for each of our products.
Currently we have customization for each service so a Sales person is assigned to a specific product for the customer.
So my question is, how is this handled out of the box. I am sure there are many many many companies in the same situation.
So say 10 products with sales group for each product.
Then a customer with multiple departments. Each sales group needs to contact the specific department.
So a customer could potentially have 10 different sales people contacting different people in the customers organization.
How do you know when someone has already made contact?
If we just look at the activities it is not very clear that contact has been made for a specific product.
Even with our customizations, there have been many situations where 2 sales people contact the same person at a clients office and we end up looking very unorganized.
Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.

Did you render fully before you exported? That helps. But this is also a GOP format, and it takes longer to do pretty much everything, as it is a processor intensive format.
1) How much more memory would help this work flow go faster, and approx. how much faster??
None. RAM doesn't come into play here. PROCESSOR speed is all that matters. What will make it go faster is enabling QMaster to have Compressor access all cores of the processor. Or getting hardware to help with the compression, like the Compress HD from Matrox. But that only boosts encoding to H.264.
2) Has anyone else done this type of work-flow, and been able to do it more quickly? Is RAM the issue? Any suggestions for a more efficient work-flow?
RAM isn't the issue. Faster Processors, hardware boosting...converting the footage to ProRes before you begin editing...all help.
RAM isn't what is hindering you here.

Possible suggestions:
study carefully the manual, since the questions are closed, and you can choose among 3 out of 5 possibilities. You know that 3 are true meanwhile 2 are false.
It's very important to know English grammar
There are as well special questions where you are allowed to choose just one option.

General question about iTunes Match and multiple libraries
Hello to everyone,
I have a general question about the iTunes Match service, which is available since yesterday in my country (Italy). Currently my library situation is the following:
Computer A (desktop, Windows 7): "big" iTunes library (about 20 GB), at the moment not associated with my Apple ID
Computer B (MacBook Air 2011): "small" iTunes library (about 5 GB), associated with my Apple ID
At the moment, both my iOS devices (iPhone 4 and iPad 2) are synchronized with the smaller library on the MacBook Air.
Question is as follows: should I subscribe to iTunes Match, would it be possible to upload the "big" library (provided I associate it with my Apple ID) to iCloud while keeping my devices synchronized with the "small" one?
Ideally, at the end of the day, the situation should be the following: both iOS devices with music from the small library + possibility of downloading songs from iCloud (coming from the big one). Is this possible?
Maybe the question sounds stupid, but I want to be sure about this before paying for the service.
Thanks a lot.Yes, you could also associate your larger library with iTunes match if you associated your Apple ID with it. However any purchases in the library made from another Apple ID will not be matched with iTunes much.
If both libraries are part of iTunes match, then all your devices will see all of the content from both libraries, which content you choose to have on those devices and which you have accessible via iTunes match is entirely up to you. -
My (i think simple) question is about integration of CRM service to ERP MM, e.g. for spare parts delivery or spare parts purchasing or scrapping parts in a CRM service order - i thought something very basic and standard
I always thought that inside a ERP SD order you have item categories and those item categories do have a schedule line category and a requirement class and from those are determined the MM movement typ and the automatism if the system creates in MM a reservation a purchase requisition or a purchase order. That was always my understanding
Now i was surprised to learn the customizing in SAP CRM (CRM/Transactions/Settings for Service Transactions/Integration/ Logistics Integration/Define Transfer parameters) - there i can say:
CRM Transaction Type+ CRM Item Category = ERP Movement Type + ERP Special Stock Indicator
or next to it in the SAP CRM Customizing
(CRM/Transactions/Settings for Service Transactions/Integration/ Logistics Integration/DefineLogistics Scenario for the Procurement of Material and Sales)
i can say:
CRM Transaction Type+ CRM Item Category = ERP Reservation or ERP purchase requisition or ERP purchase Order
Now i know that in SAP CRM if you have a transaction and an item category for a logistics operation, the system creates an EPR sales order of the same number and type with the same item categories.
My question is: WHERE is determined which movement type the system uses and if there is created a reservation or purchase requisition or purchase Order. Is it determined in the ERP by using the ERP sales order item category and the SD item category customizing or is it determined by the customizing in the SAP CRM that i described above?

I have seen your query which was posted on same issue, so i thought i could get some help.
The problem here is when i am saving the service order i am getting the below message.
Enter a (default) purchasing group for material group SUB_MC (Notification E CRM_SRV_LOG_EXT_OLTP 002).
I have actually downloaded mat_dien materials from ecc to crm and for material purchase group is already assigned for one plant, but still not able to recognise.
Please help me out.

Informatica Powercenter is a tool proivded by an independant vendor and is not a Business Objects Product. Business Objects Provides Data Integrator, which is pretty much as rugged as Informatica and provides all the functionalities of ETL(Extraction Transformation and Loading). -

This query is regarding the Service Order Assignment type in CRM Service Manager.
While fetching the service orders from SAP, the ServiceOrderFetchBAPI calls the ServiceOrderAssignmentTypeDelegateFactory class
ServiceOrderAssignmentTypeDelegateFactory class contains {

Question 1: Please explain about both the String values, Are these two values being fetched from the sap config panel ? If yes then please elaborate where can I check their respective values in SAP.

If these are two different scheduling engines then the table names should be different both in case of MRS and LRP ? Please clarify and explain

Answer 1: Yes, this is being
fetched from the Mobile application configuration parameters as shown below.
The value is configured by a rule to look up to the Service Order MDO
Assignment type filter.
Answer 2: Yes, MRS and LRP are
different scheduling engines, but since the client does not have all the user
information regarding MRS (i.e the resource information), we set the partner
GUID for both. SAP backend ABAP code will determine resource based on the
partner GUID and will call the respective handler for MRS and LRP to retrieve
the service order assignments. Currently Service Manager 4.0 code does not
support MRS with the provided add on.
