CRM User Authority

Good Day
Experts:
I am trying to debug a problem that a User is experiencing while trying to execute a Shift-F2 LookUp
on a Supplier field. The Supplier field is in a Matrix on on our AddOn screens. The User has a CRM license.
When executing Shift-F2 on the field, a red status error message is displayed saying they do not have authority to run the form.
Does sound at all familiar to anyone as a problem you have encountered?

I tested in our system with a CRM Sales User,and the formatted search function(shift+F2) works for it.
Could please give more detail about what is the function of your addon?
In case the suppiler is a multi-currency BP or foreign BP,
you may need to define currect exchange rate first and
that's a function which can not be used by CRM Sales user.

The Report Authoring Extensions (any version) don't support VS 2013. Currently the Crm 2015 Report Authoring Extensions support VS 2012 and VS 2010, and the Crm 2013 Report Authoring Extensions supports only VS 2010.
By the way, the error you posted suggests you're trying to install the Crm 2011 Report Authoring Extensions

At this time, my customer running with ERP ERP 6.0 EHP4 in three
landscapce (server DEV, server TEST and server PROD)
And now, my customer want to use SAP RDE CRM Users product and they
bought SAP RDE CRM Users product & License from SAP
I have several question as follows:
Conditions necessary and sufficient to be able to install and run SAP
RDE CRM Users product ?
With a three landscape of my customer at this time -> Need more
hardware for the installation of SAP RDE CRM Users ?
SAP RDE CRM Users product is a Integration of ERP ?
SAP RDE CRM Users product can be installed as a component of ERP
system ? or SAP RDE CRM Users product is a standalone system ?
If a component of ERP -> how to install and use it

No Microsoft Dynamics CRM User Exists

Hi
We are in the process of deploying UPK 3.5.1 to a number of users in the business. Once they have entered the library location in the Profile Wizard and click next they receive the following Server Error message.
"No Microsoft Dynamics CRM User exists with the specified domain name and user ID."

Where is CRM user-customer Account relationship stored in database.

Hi,
When creating and approving a CRM user using CRM HTML admin responsibility, we assign accounts of customer for which user is being created.
For e.g., When creating a user for Customer A having 5 accounts, i can assign account # 1,2 and 3 to the user.
Does anybody know where this mapping is stored in database?

Only thing is we need to make a small change in the query :
The fu.customer_id is to be mapped to hcar.party_id and not hca.party_id .

I got the yellow alert in EWA report from solman like "Users Authorized to Display Other Users Spool Request"
I just want to know how to restrict the users seeing their spool request alone.
I also checked the object S_SPO_ACT but am not able to get the things done.
Pls suggest some ideas.

SAP B1 Web CRM user

Hi, Please could anyone assist me.
i know that you can use a B1 Web CRM user to create and run promotional e-mail campaigns.
What i would like to know is:
If you send out an e-mail campaign with a link, can you track it when people click on the link?
If yes how would the process work.

Yes, you can track clicks on links in a campaign.
In Admin>Marketing>Campaigns, click on the right-most icon against the relevant campaign to display the Campaign Report.
The Report analyses the number of Sends Clicks Opens and Bounces and the details of each number reported is also available as a hyperlink.
If you click on the 'Clicks' lypelinklink , the details of which user clicked which link are displayed.
This data is stored in the ContactLogs table in the back-end Webtools database with a logtype of 'link'. The subject field holds the actual URL of the link

Hi,
Of course, one license can be use two simultaneous logins, meanse same user logged in twice so they are effectively the same user and therefore can see each other data. This is not recommended action since you could not then differnetiate activities between both / change log etc are all affected.

Bulk Action to merge an IDM user to a Siebel CRM user

Hi,
i 'm using the SJS IDM 6.1 and i'm tryning to merge an IdM user to an user that is created on the Siebel CRM by a bulk action.
The script used is the following
command,user,waveset.resources,accounts[Siebel CRM].identity
Update,IdMuser,|Merge|Siebel CRM,Siebel CRM user
The result is the IdM user was associated to the Siebel CRM resource with the IdM account, and not linked by the Siebel CRM account and it is not found on the Siebel resources (obviously).
I have a lot of IdM users to merge to the Siebel CRM account.
Does anybody Know how to merge the account by bulk action?

If you are using any other resource as Pass-through Authentication, then the password fields can be blank. In fact, if you enable pass-though authentication, the tabbed user form does not show the password fields.

Print preferences do not apply to CRM users

When Print Preferences are set for a document type (for example, print 2 copies on Add), they are applied to Professional users, but not to CRM users. While it seems reasonable to restrict CRM users from changing the print preferences, these are meant to be company-wide defaults and should apply to all users. I have verified with SAP support that CRM users are not affected by settings in the print preferences. We are currently using a work-around of setting the preferences in User Defaults for these users, but it is time-consuming and could be neglected when adding a new user. There is no reason why system defaults should not apply to CRM users.

I agree with Meinolf. Besides, we can try to configure this setting under Computer Configuration and apply the GPO to the terminal server, in which way all users logging onto
the server will apply the setting.

Difference between CRM User and Employee

Hello!
We are using the webclient UI and with HR integration and I am confused as to the difference between the concept of a user and an employee. Is the user the SU01 where as the employee is the HR record? How do you determine whether to assign a user/employee to a position and then to a business role?

The concept is quite simple. All the employee of an organization constitute "Employee" of an organization. Out of the total employees only a few will be using CRM, having CRM logon access. So this employee becomes the "User".
So a CRM User should be an employee of the organization. But all Employee will not be a CRM user.

if you want to search by sy-uname, you should use
* Get the business partner entry for the current user.
call function 'BP_CENTRALPERSON_GET'
    exporting
      iv_username         = sy-uname
    importing
      ev_bu_partner_guid = lv_bpguid
    exceptions
      no_central_person   = 1
      no_business_partner = 2
      no_id               = 3
      others              = 4.
The business partner number is then available with BAPI_BUPA_GET_NUMBERS.

CRM User not permitted to 'Copy To'

In SAP B1 2007A. If a user is licensed as a CRM user, despite having authorisations set for all things sales, a user finds they are not permitted to 'Copy to' a delivery. Is this the case?

What document you are trying to create by using 'Copy to' of Delivery?
Invoice documents are not allowed for CRM users!!!
If you want to make Return document, try by using 'Copy From' function from Return document.

Hi, gurus.
I'd like to know if the crm user id used by an agent in creating a sales order in R/3 coursed through crm is retained/stored somewhere in crm? Currently, only the rfcuser id is retained in the transaction as the creator. Hope you can help me.

If you are going to R/3 via SM59 and ccreating the sales Order the creator would be RFCUSER only.
