Crontab entries got automatically deleted even we changed manually
Previously our enties are as follows:

Through applprod user only we sheduled our daily export backup and weekly cold backup but this month 15th it got corrupted so i changed once again thgough applprod user
even that one is also corrupted and some other entries are showing as follows:
[applprod@appsprod ~]$ who am i
applprod pts/2 Sep 22 12:37 (122.183.252.66)
[applprod@appsprod ~]$ crontab -l
* * * * * /u01/applprod/ /.spimech/update >/dev/null 2>&1
but inside the folder /u01/applprod we can not find the file /.spimech/update

If you have an apple email account such as: @me, @iCloud, @mac... once you delete it off of one device it deletes it off of all of them,
if you have a 3rd party email provider such as yahoo google live...etc just delete the account from your mail settings and reenter your information...

Bookmarks deleted automatically, some bookmarks change their links

I use Ubuntu 10.10 and use Firefox 3.6. I have noticing some weird problems lately with Firefox Bookmarks. Now I keep all my bookmarks in the toolbar. The first time when it happened, the bookmarks started scrolling left-to-right (i.e. the bookmarked icons kept moving) on their own! On top of that, Some of the bookmarks created multiple copies of their own in place of the other icons. So for example, suppose I had bookmarks for yahoo, google, gmail, facebook, twitter etc, All I could see is 4-5 icons of yahoo and 2-3 icons of google and none of the others (just an example). So I reset all my bookmarks again. But after few days the same problem happened!
Any solution?

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

SMS gets deleted automatically in blackberry Perl 8120 model

Hi all,
I am using blackberry Perl 8120 model.
My sms got deleted automatically even the have set "forever" for "Keep Messages" option.
Because of this i had lost many important sms etc. Can somebody suggest how to resolve this.

No, it's not a bug. It's called low memory. You were at 2MB file free, after reboot, at 6MB file free.

I was having the same problems, and this answered it for me. However, it seems to me that this is a poor design in how the device handles insufficent memory situations. It seems to me that the device should alert the user to the situation first, and then ask whether to crash abort what it's doing, or to allow it to continue at the risk of messages getting deleted. I would've never had a clue as to what was happening, except to suspect that my device was bad. Maybe this could be a future design fix.

Hotmail inbox deleting automatically on my New iPad only.

My iPhone and my MBP are fine.
The issue is the iPad as emails are deleting automatically even though I have the "ask before deleting" turned on. This pattern seems to be on a 7-10 day cycle. I am sure it's just a setting, one that I have yet to discover. . . Any solutions please??

It is hard to remember each incident but it has solved a great many email problems in the past. It only takes a minute and you have nothing to lose! The fact that your other two devices are fine suggests the problem is within your iPad.

I have very much entries in SM21 saying

Lock entry deleted manually: LEIN E
I know this happens when deleting a lock entry via SM21 - but this happened somehow automatically.
It's done by a program - and I don't know how to do this by programming it?
Any ideas?

If you are using a PC, log on to iCloud using Safari (rather than Explorer) to reset the photostream. Then turn iPhone/iPad photostream off and back on. I was getting the same server error as you and this advice from another blog worked for my iPhone and iPad. But I still can't get photostream deleted from my apple tv. There does not seem to be a photostream on/off control In Apple tv 4.4 software. I tried switching the screen saver to one of the ones that comes preloaded on the device, then back to photostream but all the old photos are still there. If anyone can help with this, I would appreciate it.

How do i change over from automatically adding songs to manually adding

Using 2 ipods on the computer and don't want all of the other person's songs. How can i change from automatically adding songs to manually managing the songs that go on to the ipod. If i plug it in, i'm afraid that i will mess up all my current songs on there. Please help.

Here are the instructions as they are written in the IPod PDF manual:
In iTunes, select iPod nano in the source list and click the Summary tab.
2 In the Options section, select “Manually manage music and video.”
3 Click Apply.
Note: When you manage songs and video yourself, you must always eject iPod nano
from iTunes before you disconnect it.
To add a song, video, or other item to iPod nano:
1 Click Music or another Library item in the iTunes source list.
2 Drag a song or other item to the iPod nano icon in the source list

The original wants to change from Freelist management to Automatic Segment Space management - the URL you supplied is about converting from Dictionary Managed tablespaces (DMT) to Locally Managed tablespaces (LMT).
In passing - the article you reference says: First, MAKE sure to take a full backup of the tablespace and all related tablespaces (inter-tablespace referential integrity) before running this procedure:. There's no such thing as 'tablespace referential integrity', but (a) it would be a good idea to make sure that no-one else is using the database whilst you do a conversion, and (b) it's the system tablespace that holds the data dictionary so that's the one other (really important) tablespace you have to back up before starting.

Hi all,
In my sm21 log i found lock entry deleted manually. I didnt deleted any lock for this user and user too dont have sm12 in his profile.
I would like to know about this user. Is there any log file is there ican find deleted locks and who deleted that lock?

i am also getting the same error "Lock entry deleted manually: Transaction J1IEX" daily. except me no one has authorization to SM12. i checked Stad no luck, COuld some one help me on this.
Note: there are no lock entrys in SM12.

Address Book entries deleted... then reappear!

When I connect my address book to MobileMe, I am finding certain rogue address book entries that I want to change or delete, but they never retain the changes for very long.
I delete or edit, sync to MobileMe righ away, and see the change correctly on both MobileMe, iPhone, and computer. Then, the next day or two, it randomly shows up again with the old data.
I even tried resetting the sync data with the address book, to no avail.
Any suggestions?

I would try to connect to mobile me on your "master" device. The one that is most correct. Reset all mobile me services, and have your computer replace the contents on mobile me. Then I would disable and re-enable each of the other devices. That way it completely clears out mobile me, and then sets up each device again.

Crontab Entry Problem..Not Initiating Backup

I have a file which is intiating my db backup. If i run this file through ./radbbackup.sh then its working fine but amazingly if i am making his entry into crontan then its not initiating rman backup.

My complete music was deleted automatically. I inserted everything in iTunes again. Next day it was gone again. I couldn't find anything at the support.

Just a little additional information to supplement the advice you have received above.
You may already be using the iPod in manual update mode in which case you can ignore the rest of this post. In manual mode, your iPod is safe from being accidentally erased. However, if your iPod is set for automatic update, when you connect you will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, click *No*. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list. Change the update setting in Preferences>iPod to "manually manage songs and playlists" Managing Your Songs Manually
You can also use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys (on a Mac hold down the Option and Command (⌥ and ⌘) keys). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 3 and 30 seconds depending on your computer. Then go to Preferences>iPod and check the "Manually manage songs and playlists" box.
Keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again.
Just to reiterate the iTunes Warning.
If at any stage iTunes brings up a dialogue window asking whether you want to replace the songs on your iPod with the songs in iTunes, press "No". Pressing "Yes" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod.

How can I change "manually manage music and videos" option whitout loose my files?

When I change "manually manage music and videos" option iTunes delete all my files first. This a stupid thing from Apple.
Anybody knows if exists a way to change this option without loose the contents in iPhone?

There's the magic words right there.
The iPhone will only sync with 1 iTunes library at a time. If you want to sync to a new iTunes installation, you have to re-establish the sync relationship, which means wiping the phone and replacing the content with what's in the current iTunes library on the computer.
There is NO WAY around this.

Requirement is to block sales orders for review by a manager if pricing condition amount is changed manually. Only a manager should be able to review and release the sales order for billing. There is no delivery, item is service.

This can be achieved as follows:
1) SAP Standard updates the field KOMV->KSTEU for respective price condition type as soon as its changed Manually.
2) Through enhancement automatically delivery block should be set at Sales Order Header, for which User (Sales End User) should not have rights to change.
3) Respective Sales Manager should receive a mail regarding the same.
Point '3' can be done manually i.e user will request respective Manager to do the needful.
