CRVS2010 Beta - Can't create a .rpt Document

Hello,
I've purchased a French liscence of VS 2010 pro and I've downloaded and installed CRFroVS2010 and CRforNET40_x86.
In Visual studio I can create a window with a control CristalReportViewer. When I try to create a new Crystal report (using the control's menu) I've the window asking me to download Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 and the the following message:
"Erreur lors de l'appel de 'Create a New Crystal Report...'. Détails : Can't resolve strongly report class at design time".
When I want to create a report with Add...New Element...Crystal report, I've just the window asking me to download Crystal reports.
I don't understand why it doesn't work. I've tried te uninstall and re-install CRFroVS2010 and CRforNET40_x86 but it didn't work either.
Other things strange: in the "About VS Studio" SAP Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 is detected.
System information

- Visual Studio 2010 Profressional
- .NET Framework 4.0
- X86 based PC
Have you any idea how to solve this problem ?

Hi Helenea,
CR for VS 2010 beta 2 is currently only available for English OS's. Also, is this a clean PC or do you have other versions of VS and CR installed on it?
There have been issues reported if you have other versions installed. Try installing on a clean PC.

    Go to VOV7, select your item category.  In this maintain K  for Billing Relevance
    Now go to VF01, give the delivery number and do not press Enter.  Instead click on Selection list on the next screen, select the items you want to bill and click copy and continue if necessary

    I changed my web.config as described in the PDF but I'm always getting this error message:
    Assembly 'my Assembly' uses 'CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=14.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' which has a higher version than referenced assembly 'CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=12.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304'

    Hi Guys,
    Are you using the VS 2010 CR for VS2010 plug in and if so is this a Beta issue?
    Or are you using a previous versions of CR runtime in VS 210 issue?
    If it is a VS 2010 and CR plug issue then the subject line needs to be changed to follow the rule for posting beta questions to:
    CRVS2010 Beta - Can't use the the Runtime for VS 2010 Beta
    If it's a migration of existing CR 2008 or previous version of CR application into VS 2010 then it's not supported. CR 2008 and previous versions of CR have not been tested with 4.0 framework and therefore it will not work and no escalation path to make it work at this time, don't upgrade your old projects.

  • Can I create a PDF document that can be commented on by others using READER

    I have dozens (hundreds?) of PDF Books that I've purchased. Whoever created them made them so anyone using Adobe Reader 5 or better can make highlights and comments on the text.  I use the feature to correct typos and send them back to the publisher. I know it can be done because I've been doing it for a few years before I ever got Adobe Standard.
    So . . . My question is . . . How can I create documents like this that can be commented on using Adobe Reader? I have Adobe Standard 8 and I don't see this as a separate feature of Adobe Pro. and I'm hoping that I'm just missing the instructions on how it's done. I do not have any problem doing what I want using Adobe Standard 8 but I need to be able to make it doable in Reader so others can make comments in my documents.

    "Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader" or "Extend Features in Adobe Reader"
    are available with Acrobat 8 Professional / 3D version 8 or Acrobat Professional / Pro Extended respectively.
    Additionally, Adobe provides a server based service (LiveCycle ES) that "enables/extends" a PDF such that Adobe Reader can  be used for Comment, Review, Digital Signature, etc.
    That you can use Adobe Reader to comment on PDFs means one of the above applications were used.
    Because you have mentioned the PDFs are purchased PDF Books I suspect that LiveCycle ES was used.
    This server based application (which has a myriad of "modules" available) is expensive so, typically, it is licensed by enterprises that need its functionality. Examples: the large publishing houses or governmental agencies (e.g., IRS).
    If you move up to Acrobat Professional you will be able to "Extend Features in Adobe Reader" such that others can perform Comment & Review on your PDF documents.
    As Acrobat 9.x is the current, marketed release the Professional version would be available to you via an upgrade (not to be confused with the free "updates").

    Anyone know how I can create a new documents folder in my home folder? I accidently deleted it. Nothing was in it, so I don't need to recover it. I just want a new empty documents folder.
    Actually, never mind. I solved the problem myself.
    At first I created a folder in the sidebar, and it didn't have the documents icon on it. I just solved the problem by deleting that icon, then creating a new folder in the main window, naming it "documents", and then the documents icon appeared. Then I dragged it to the sidebar and it created a copy there.

    My mistake. I was able to create a new documents folder without any throuble.

    To create an unprotected file you would need the password.

    There is no copy control and the above step controls the relation between the billing and excise invoice.

    You cannot create your own Excise Invoice Document type but you can create a Sub Transaction type and assign it while creating Excise Invoice to differentiate and pass the values to a different GL.

I was creating a document in buzzword that I wanted to save and convert to a pdf file in acrobat, but it wouldn't let me go past 3 pages.  Can I create more than that or is there some other FREE program I can use? I need one that will let me insert images, insert links, change font colors and center somethings. I know I have read pdf documents that are 100's of pages long and do all of the things I need.
    Please help ASAP, my ebook needs to be finished!

    I'm sorry you're having trouble. You should most certainly be able to convert a document that's a lot longer than 3 pages.
    Please make sure you have the most recent version of the Adobe Flash Player. You can download it here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
    Could you also try opening Buzzword in a different browser to let us know if you can then successfully convert the document to PDF?
    Please note, you'll want to get your document completed in Buzzword before converting, because you can't edit a PDF in Buzzword. To edit a PDF requires the full desktop version of Acrobat.

    pages on iOS dosnt support making new documents with landscape view. I think this would also make it so you could not combine the two orientations in a single document.
    I was able to get a landscape document made by making it on the desktop, emailing it to myself, then saving it in pages on my ipad. Not sure if that would work for a combination document.

    Actually I develop a new application which has to exchange document-files with other servers.
    Is there a simple way to generate files from this long raw?
    What does this OLE do to my file before storing it in the long field.
    Is this OLE still a good format?
    The migration to webforms could be a good opportunity to change something ...
    Maybe we better store the files in the file-system and show them with the show_document procedure.

    Set your export type to Hard Disk and export to a folder on your hard-drive, and optionally re-import those exported JPGs using a checkbox on the Export panel. 
    When I do exports like this I typically put them in a subfolder of the raw files rather than physically mixed into the raw files, themselves.  If I want to see the raws and jpgs mixed together I can just enable Show Photos in Subfolders.

  • How can I create a "master" document with multiple variations?

    I designed a map that will be posted at a few dozen junctions with a "you are here" symbol.  Every one will be identical with the exception of this symbol.  I don't know if there is any way to do this while preserving a "master" map that can be edited all at once.  For example, I may need to change the location of the paths and it would be a real time saver if I didn't have to edit 20+ files (each with an arrow in a different spot but otherwise the same) separately.  Also, I will be sending the file over email to a professional printer, so I am very uncertain about what would be a standard way to format something like this and really wouldn't want to clog their email.
    I haven't been able to figure out an easy way to do this.  I'm wondering if it involves using multiple artboards, a feature that I'm not very familiar with, or if the easiest way is to have a layer for each symbol location and just save twenty files (whew) and send them to the printer as separate documents - which seems super clumsy.
    I have tried copying the artboard multiple times.  This was my best attempt at editing all at once: I created whatever I needed on one artboard, then dragged it to the symbols panel, then cut, then went to edit > paste on all artboards.  However, this doesn't allow me to simply fiddle with a path or object that already exists and I can't figure out how I would delete the same object from all artboards.
    If anyone has some thoughts, I'm pretty novice, so please keep it in simple terms. Also, I am in a bit of a time crunch, so speedy answers are much appreciated!  Thank you!

    Alright, that makes sense.  And yep...I've never worked with a professional printer so I wasn't sure if it is standard to have something that will require that much involvement in the set-up on their part, but I guess it's preferable to sending a bunch of separate documents.  Thanks so much for your help, Larry!

    How can I lock certain text in a document (such as a question), and still be able the forward it to other people to fill in the answers?

    If you are just trying to send out a quiz or homework assignment, you might try using a Layout Mode with Text Boxes and blank tables. The idea here would be to create your question in a text box then Arrange > Lock the Question and place an invisible rectangle over it and Arrange > Lock the rectangle over the question portion leaving the table unlocked so they can type in it.
    Not very elegant and there is no password protection on the lock so if your respondants wanted to unlock the covering bit, they could, but most wouldn't think of how right off the bat.
    Worth a try, if that's what you are trying to do.
