Crystal addon
I'm trying to open a crystal report, and it's giving me the error pasted below. I see that it says "bad username/password", but I already went into crystal report administration --> account setup, and entered my database username and password (sa/password), to no avail. Any ideas?

From the error message, there are quite a few different versions for CR. If you can reinstall the add-on by a clean installation, it may be helpful.

I have installed the CR AddOn V 2.0.0.6 at 2007A SP00 PL42.
I noticed that DotNetFramework 3.5 SP1 was already installed on the system.
I tried to install it anyway, according to step 7 of the instructions.

Error while 'Crystal Report for Sap Business One' addon started
Hi,
I have try to install Crystal Report for Sap Business One (Addon Versione number 2.0.0.7).
The installatione finish succesfully, but when I started the addOn i retrieve this errore message: External Connection to the dataBase failed. Sap Crystal Addon may not function properly. Please re-run the account setup with superuser login.
I'm logged in Sap with manager (super user), so maybe I have forgot some step in the installation?
I have see the Demo in the Channel Partner Portal, I have note that I have to isntall the CR_Runtime_12_0, but I don't find it, I don't know where I can download this file. I have just installed SapCrystalSetup.exe and registered the Addon like a normal Sap B1 addon.
Where is the error??

MarcoYou must configure in each cliente Pc the connection with the DATABASE.
You must Know the Database Super User (In SQL Server usually sa, and its password, the standard form SAP Business One is SAPB1Admin)
In Administration > Crystal Reports Administration > Account Setup
The CR_Runtime_12_0 is only necesary to view reports, but isn't necesary to start de addon. -
Crystal Report Interation Addon Error

I have successfully installed Crystal Report Integration addon on SAP B1 2007 (patch 0) . But as and when I try to connect or start this , an error gets displayed

Browse through the Administration menu. There is a submenu on with you must setup the CrystalReports Integration Addon, and one of the definitions is the DB username and password.

Installing Crystal Report AddOn for 8.8
Dear All,
Please let me know how to install Crystal Report AddOn for 8.8 B one ? After installing the Addon When I am starting the Add On I am getting as error as External Connection to the database failed. SAP Crystal AddOn may not function properly. Please rerun the account setup with superuser login.
And when I click on Administration>>Crystal Reports Administration>> Account Setup screen to setup the account, I am getting error as Item- Could not commit action because the item is currently in focus [66000-23].

Crystal Report Preview and Print error
Hi,
I am trying my first Crystal report in SAP; I have created one report using OITE table and run it in Crystal Designer without any problem; Then I added it to SAP / Manager Crystal Report / New Report, but I get the following error message when I click the Preview and Print button every time;
The file does exist and the location is setup correctly; I dont understand why SAP can not find the file; Any comments?

I have linked my first Crystal report into SAP (2007A), but when I try to run it I get an error.
Msg header "SAP Crystal AddOn"....Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms, Version = 12.0.2000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
I searched the SAP forums, but found nothing regarding this error. Anybody have an idea how to fix? I can't see my Crystal report. Does the report need to be stored in a specific location for it to be called from SAP? I was able to browse to it when I setup the link in SAP.

When we login to SAP client, we got an error message

Do we have to have ODBC connection setup by 'Connect to SQL Server to obtain...'?
When we use 'with integrated windows authentication', the ODBC connection is good. And we can login to SAP but cannot use Crystal report.

I'm having the exact same problem. We have about 15 client pc's and all but one is working fine. They are all running Vista Business with Business One 2007 SP01 PL05 and are all brand new systems.
This one is giving an error when Business One starts saying 'Login failed for user 'sa'. Then another popup box stating: "External Connection to the database failed. SAP Crystal addon may not function properly. Please re-run the account setup with super user login."
If I then re-run the account setup and enter the 'sa' password I get an error: "Action Failed".
I've tried making sure that I enter the password one character at a time and moving to the last character before entering the next. I've also tried pasting in the password. All gives the same error.
I've not been able to find anything on this pc that is different from the others.
Any ideas please?

How to change database in crystal report design
Hi experts
I have created a report in crystal addon using demo database, now I want to change the database to see the actual testing of report. I tried by Set Location option in Database expert I log off the current server then Log on It ask the database name I put new database name . But when I Run the report it show the previous database records.>

I have not yet installed the Crystal Addon for SAP (Using R1 Reports now) I would hope that Addon allows you to use a different database with Crystal, my current solution does and that is how I build most of my reports with views and sp's.

We've SAP BO 2007 SP01 PL05 in a 64 bits Server and we have Crystla Reports por SAP BO installed and was working fine.
After some windows upgrades on a Server that works as terminal services we have the next error when we want to connect Crystal reports:
SAP Crystal AddOn
Automation error
Library not registered
In other clients it´s working ok. We try re installing all Crystal report addon and SAP Client in this terminal server but still the same error. Have you had a similar error? I´ve check forums and SAP notes but haven´t found a similiar error.

2007 version support will be ending soon. Have you considered upgrade your version? New version has integrated CR that works better.

Multiple reports in SAP CR addon
Hallo All,
One of the standard system messages displaying in SAP crystal addon is "Multiple report views are not permitted".
Anyway, for some of our customers is important to generate more than one reports and make some comparisons before print-outs.
How is posible to solve this problem. Have anyone some idea or does anyone know a solution for that?

Are you using SQL Server 2000?
I asume so as this was a known issue with earlier versions of the CR Add-On and SQL 2000.
Please update to the latest version of the Add-On and the issue should be resolved.

I have problem running crystal reports thru SAPB1, that I have developed
I have installed Crystal Basic 2008 on on the machine where SAP B1 (Server and Client) is installed.
I have installed Crystal AddOn in SAPB1
The sample reports run OK when used from SAPB1; however when I try to run, my own reports it comes up with error:
"Crystal Report Form Viewer" --- Failed to Open the connection. ....... Reportname.rpt
Note that, The report runs OK when opened in Designer
I am using SQL Native client ODBC for data source.
The only difference I am seeing between my reports and sample reports (CustomerList_2008 and Items_2008) is sample reports use a data source named indika08.
I do not see this connection anywhere in my ODBC connections

ManuI am experiencing the same issue. My report prompts for date ranges, which I can select. When I execute it comes up with failed to open connection.
The sample reports do indeed reference an odbc connection called, "indika08". So I created that datasource and referenced that in my report. Still no luck.
