Crystal isn't showing duplicates / not showing all records

I have a report that is pulling material costs of entered invoices from an old Access database (the result of an ancient ERP). I have pulled the job number and materials list for jobs easily and it sums each job, but when I compared an old and new report, there were some missing items and the totals did not match. When I checked the old and new reports against each other, the missing items were all named 'Heat Treat' and since one invoice had 4 lines entered separately from a single invoice, our old database assigned the identical ID# to each line for those entries. In my links I've made an awkward link so is it suppressing by ID# because it's not unique?
As far as I can tell, I do not have any other suppress settings on. I can hide/unhide and drill down just fine. This is an export from my Access file:
I'm very new to CR and I've done a lot of online searching for this but it seems to be most people want to hide duplicates or show only duplicates and I can't seem to get it to work. This is my report but you can see that all of the heat treat from that one invoice is missing.

you can try to change all of the join types in the Database Expert linking dialogue to use Left Outer Joins between job materials and vendor invoices or a right outer join.
and do eliminate any filters in the Report > Select Expert or Report > Selection Formulas as per above as well. when you add a filter based on a certain field, it can then lead to records dropping off that you think should be there, but it's actually an addition to the SQL 'WHERE' clause that is filtering records.
what is the result set from access based on? is it just one table, or is a combination of tables?
and more importantly, what is the name of the software / erp program you are using? perhaps someone out there has actually used it or is still using it and may be able to help you on the schema.

Query not displaying all records when execute it first tme

i have an issue with the WEBI report.when i run the report first time it's displaying only few records, but when i run the same report second time it's displaying the more records and it's correct.
Could any one tell me why it's not displaying all records when i execute first time.

Personnel Admin AdHoc Query not retrieving all records

Hi, I recently added a custom info type to a copy of the SAP ad hoc query for Personnel Admin by using the menu path in SQ02>Edit>Change Infotype selection . The query is picking up the new info type and runs fine but does not retrieve all records from the table for a given personnel id. It only retrieves 1 record per id.
Has anyone dealt with this before and have an easy/quick fix for this?

Have other users try the query, preferably a user with end user authorization.
I've had this issue before, I'm an IT person and I customized a Standard infoset.
During testing, I'm only getting 1 (in my case) Insurance record per employee.
The end user can see multiple record per employee.
Btw, did you customize a Global or a Standard Infoset?

Help Please Repeat Region not repeating all records only repeating 7 records

Hi all,
Please can you advise what's going on here - I'm building an
ASP SQL site and all was going well until my colleague pointed out
that the repeat region is not repeating all records as i've coded
it to using Dreamweavers Repeat region SB, it appears to be
defaulting to 7 repeats?????? I'm completely stuck as to why this

Crystal Reports Cross-Tab Report not showing all available fields

I am running CR2008 against MS SQL Express. I have several tables with fields and data in them and can create standard reports to show all the data in all the fields. However, when I try to create a cross-tab report, only some of the fields appear for me to choose from.
I created a standard report with all the fields I needed in my cross-tab report and ran a preview. Everything was there. I then added a cross-tab object, selected the tables only to find that fields that are in the main report are not showing up for selection in the cross-tab.

UPDATE: I exported the entire database from MS SQLExpress to MS Access and I am having the same issues, so it does not appear to be a problem with the database engine and, since the standard tabular reports show the fields, I am at a loss as to why they don't show up in the cross-tab or the Parameter fields.
I am creating the cross-tab through the Cross-Tab wizard. Is there maybe a bug in that? Is there a way to create it otherwise?

Crystal Report Viewer icons do not show in Web Application Project in VS2005 (Web Site Project OK)

With Visual Studio 2005, the Icons at the top of the CrystalReportViewer do not show on Web Application Project. However, If I have a web site project, they are all shown. Please note that I found number of posts that people not seeing the icons after the deployment but my case is the development environment. Once I pass the first hurdle I may face further problems like the other people, so If you happen to know answers in both situations, please share your knowlegde..
PS: I created two new types of projetcs and have just a CrystalReportViewer on the default page. Data is shown fine but the icons are missing (red X placeholders instead of icons) in Web Application Project. Very straight forward test.

We havent tried that. We changed the link in the web part to access an html page that claims that the report is loading. It states in the html that if the page doesnt load to "click here" which redirects to the crystalreportviewer. Its a temp fix for it. One thing we are looking at is the 64 bit version of the Sharepoint integration kit. That may contain a reportviewer webpart.

Crystal Parameter Hierarchy Pick List not showing in Infoview

We are having an issue with crystal reports not showing the hierarchy pick list in infoview.
We have 3 environments, Dev, QA, Prod.
Business Objects environments consist of 3 separate servers

We create a crystal report in Dev BOBJ, and publish to DEV SAP BW system sitting on ServerA.
The picklist shows hierarchy properly in Dev Infoview.
We then LCM the report to QA BOBJ, and Do Not publish to QA SAP BW system sitting on ServerA.
We transport the role that the report was published to, from Dev SAP BW to QA SAP BW
The picklist shows hierarchy properly in QA Infoview.
We then LCM the report to PROD BOBJ, and Do Not publish to PROD SAP BW system sitting on ServerB.
We transport the role from QA SAP BW to Prod SAP BW
The picklist does NOT show hierarchy properly in Prod Infoview.
We are a bit confused on why the picklist works properly on QA Infoview without publishing, but will not work on Production Infoview.
Is it because the repository objects for the picklist contain some server paths? (Since DEV and QA sit on the same server "ServerA")
Do we need to publish in production SAP BW for the hierarchy pick list to function?

Did you get this resolved? We are encountering the same issue. We have migrated our report from QA to Prod using BW Transport and then used BW Publisher to publish to BOE. The parameter list shows in InfoView for Dev and QA, but not Prod.

You'd have to obtain them from other sources, converting them if necessary. I'm not aware of any legal download site in Australia for theatrical-release movies or US-based TV shows (none that could be used with an iPod, anyway).

Sorry but no. The content owners won't allow cross-border sales. If they would, Apple could sell the content through the Austrailian iTunes Store.

Crystal Reports 2008 - dynamic parameters not returing all data

I am having the same issue with Crystal Reports 2008. Only returning 135 customers in a dynamic paramaters when the list should be 3288.
When I re-create the parameter by using a command instead of relying on Crystal to return the data from the db table Crystal returns only 5"pages" of customers to select from.
I have tried to run the report with this reduced selection & it then crashes.
Any ideas??

For performance reasons, in Crystal Reports XI Release 1 and Release 2 the maximum number of values that are returned for a list of values is set to 1000. If you have a cascading List of Values (for example Country > Region > City), the lowest level (in this case City) will only display a maximum of 1000 values. This means that the higher-level prompts may display far fewer values than you expect. The list of values provides the data for the dynamic parameter list.

End routine not updating all records

Hi,
I have an end routine to update a cube from another cube.
The routine has two loops, one child loop inside the main loop. Result Package was sorted before the loops.
Now, not all records were updated in the target infocube as per expectation. Also, when I pick one such record (that did not get updated) and debug, interestingly it shows that expected value has been assigned to the relevant field. And if I upload only that specific record to the cube, the record does get updated with expected value.
The problem seem to appear only when the whole set of data is loaded.
Any suggestion about the coding or further debugging will be greatly appreciated.

Not getting all records in pagination

I am also have a problem getting all records in the report as the post on Apr. 21,2004. My reports pagination stops at 500. When I set the 'max row count' to 100000. The pagination at the bottom of my page disapears. When I leave 'max row count' empty, it only goes from 1-500. No way to view records past the 500th record.
I see there was a post on Apr. 21, 2004 about the same thing but it did not specify a fix or work around or if I'm missing a setting. (also tried the log off/on but did not help).
*My pagination Scheme is 'Row Ranges 1-15 16-30 in select list(wiht pagination)'
*My report has 1000+ records.

The actual number of rows supported by the select list depends on how many rows you show on each page. If you go with the default of 15 rows, you would be able to use the select list with close to 5000 rows. If you increase the number of rows per page, the select list will work with even more rows.
If the select list can't be used, it may make sense to consider using the "row ranges with set pagination" style. Set pagination lets you navigate from one set to the next instead of one page to the next, so you can navigate through your result set a lot quicker.
However the best option for reports with that many rows would be "row ranges x-y", without showing the total number of rows. The reason is that the report renders a lot faster if you don't have the total number of rows calculated. In order to better be able to find certain records, I would recommend a search field on your report page that lets you filter the result set.
