CS3.3 Web Premium Upgrade

Does anyone know if I can upgrade studio MX or Studio 8 to CS3.3 web premium.
The front of the box says "This upgrade version of Adobe Creative Suite 3.3 Web Premium will install only if you are a licensed user of eligible Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium Software"
On the side of the box is a sticker that states "Upgrade from Creative Suite or Studio This upgrade version of Adobe Creative Suite 3 will install only if you are a licensed user of eligible Adobe Creative Suite or Macromedia Studio software. To verify that you qualify for this upgrade contact Adobe"
Adobe told me after waiting on hold for over an hour that they cannot answer this question for me because the product is not covered by tech support anymore. This from some guy in India that I could barely understand.
I bought this from a local retailer still in the original package and need to know if this will upgrade either of my Macromedia products before I open the package in case I need to return it.
It is item # 19700602
Please help!!!

Creative Suite 3.3 hasn't been available for years. You cannot upgrade to it. You may be able to upgrade to CS5, but you can't get that information from Adobe Technical Support. You need to contact Adobe Customer Support which should be able to properly assist you. If the first person you speak to doesn't have the answer, ask to speak with a supervisor.
This is a user to user forum, is not monitored by Adobe Customer Support, and no one here can directly assist you with your question.

  • CS4 Web Premium Upgrade Price Seems Unfair

We own CS2, Macromedia Studio 8 and we have the CS3 Web Premium. The upgrade price to CS4 Web Premium is $599. This is the same price for someone upgrading from Studio 8 or CS2 Premium. What about the people who have bought each upgrade (not counting CS3.3) This upgrade price seems way to high. Just my two cents.

Are you complaining that it is too high, or that there should be different tiers of upgrades?
Adobe's policy has always been that you can upgrade from any of the last three versions. It is my understanding that this will be changing soon, and people who have upgraded more recently DO get a lower price. I believe the price to go from CS2 to CS4 will be $799 sometime next year. Since this is a new policy, they are giving people a few months to buy under the old policy.
If anything, this is the fairest thing I've ever seen a corporation do. They are making a policy more fair, while still not hurting the people who didn't know the change was coming.
That said, I do agree $599 is a bit steep for someone who just upgraded recently, especially for the Web package. The upgrade to CS3 Production Premium was $799, where the CS4 upgrade is $599...that seems fair to me (though they dropped Ultra from the package.) However, the CS3 Web Premium upgrade was $599 (or was it $499?) It does seem out of wack price-wise. The fact that Design Premium now includes Fireworks makes the Web Premium price even less attractive.
In your particular situation, it sounds to me like you have FULL licenses for CS2 AND Studio 8, and then an upgrade to CS3 Web. Basically, you have at least one license you aren't using (unless you're using it on another computer.) My advice would be to sell your CS2 or Studio 8 license, whichever is worth more these days. When I upgraded to CS3 Web Premium, I owned both Studio MX 2004 AND CS2 Premium licenses. I sold the CS2 license, and it almost paid for my Studio MX to CS3 Web upgrade.

  • Web Premium Upgrade CS4 to CS5 - no need to re-install Acrobat Pro?

Just received Web Premium Upgrade package today. Currently have CS3 Web Standard. and CS4 Web Premium installed so will be removing CS3 Standard before attempting CS5 upgrade. My question concerns Acrobat Pro 9, perhaps obviously given the forum I'm posting in! :-) Would I be correct in assuming that given I have an up-to-date version of Acrobat Pro 9 installed as part of CS4 I can ignore the CS5 Acrobat installation? That's based on an associated assumption that the upgrade package is intended to also cover upgrades from CS4 Standard and other suites that did not include Acrobat Pro.

Apologies; answered my own question! From the CS5 installation instructions (online, not provided with installation package) "If you already have Acrobat 9 Pro installed, either as part of a suite or as a standalone application, you do not need to reinstall it." • CS Design & Web Premium Upgrade from CS5.5 to CS6 on DVD

I would like to order a CS Design & Web Premium Upgrade from CS5.5 to CS6 (int. english, MAC) in the Adobe Shop.
I have a really low internet connection and can not download 4+GB, it does not work. Even files over 20MB are pure horror.
So why I can not order a DVD, I don't understand what's the problem to sell a DVD to customers?
    Regards,
    Bodo

Is it one file which I can do on an USB stick, and that file is ready for install?
Can I also burn it to DVD, or the file is too big to burn to DVD?

  • CS3 Web Premium Upgrade question

While in school a while back, I purchased the educational
version of Macromedia Studio MX 2004. Does the educational version
qualify me for upgrade pricing on CS3 Web Premium?
    Thanks,
    Jim

Were it still a Macromedia product, it would not. But, I
    believe that
Adobe's policy is different. Your most unequivocal answer
    would come from
Adobe, I think. Contact Customer Service and ask them....

  • Best Way to Install CS6 Design/Web Premium Upgrade

    Hi,
CS6 Design/Web Premium Windows Upgrade (for CS5.5 Design Premium) is shipped and on its way for 5/10/12 delivery. Reading on these boards about CS6 installation problems (plus the installation difficulties for CS5 upgrade from CS4), prompt me to ask:
What is the best way to install the CS6 upgrade?
Is there a CS6 clean tool available?
I would ordinarily first deactivate and uninstall CS5.5 Design Premium.
Is this the best way to proceed?
    Regards,

If you do not want to keep a CS5.5 concurrent installation , this is the best way in my opinion.
The CS5.5 uninstallers do not remove everything of CS5.5 however. There will be e.g. left overs in the Help titles of the CS6 Help Manager. There is a cleaner tool: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
    Cheers,

  • Price of CS6 Web Premium Upgrade?

Am I correct in my understanding it will cost me approx. $750 to upgrade to CS6 from CS5 Web Premium?  I initially thought for some reason the CS6 upgrade would only run me $375 (Quite a difference)...  I'm really looking forward to the upgrade but my check book can't handle the $750 at this time...  Does anyone know when the release of CS6 will be so I can start saving even more to get the CS6 version?

If you're still on CS5 the buy the upgrade to CS5.5 now and get CS6 free when it ships.
If you go from CS5 Web Premium to CS5.5 Web Premium you'll get CS6 Design and Web Premium.
And yes, it's way cheaper this way.

  • Cannot renew my IP address after uninstalling CS3 and web premium software

Yesterday I deactivated my cs 2or 3 and my adobe web premium software and unistalled it from my windows xp professional computer.  I cannot renew my ip address, I cannot ping my gateway 192.168.1.1.  My other computers on the network work fine.  I even installed a usb wireless adapter to access the internet, but I still cannot connect to the internet.  Something had to happen with this uninstall.  I can't even restore it to a "last known working configuration" and I can't even use my recovery console to reformat my drive.  What the heck happened??!!
    Rosemarie

There is nothing that Adobe's activation or deactivation software does to even modfy your system's internet connection settings or connectivity in any way.

  • Reinstall CS3 Suite Web Premium ME

    Hello,
My computer has crashed. Now I want to reinstall the Suite but it cannot for some reason read the original disks (claims thay are empty). So I copied the material to a flash-disk, but it only works half-way, then it asks for a DVD and I cannot provide.
What can I do to reinstall the software?
    Thank you for your help.

I believe Winsoft was the provider of the ME version of Adobe Software prior to CS6/Creative Cloud.  You can find more details at http://www.winsoft-international.com.
If you are unable to locate downloads from Winsoft then you may want to consider subscribing to the Creative Cloud as most subscription packages include the languages previously contained within the ME version.

  • Upgrading from CS3 Web Standard to CS4 Web Premium problems

So I got my CS4 Web Premium upgrade box in the mail yesterday.  I'll be starting a big project in about a week or so and figured I'd do the install and familiarize myself with the enhancements and play with PS, as it has been a while.  Anyway, I drop the first of the install disks into my XP Pro SP3 laptop and off I go.  I enter the serial number for the CS4 which checks good.  Hit next at which point it looks for a previous install of a CS product and does not find one.  No problem, I think to myself, as there is a space to enter the previous version's serial number.  Enter the serial for the previous version (CS3 Web Standard) which results in a no go in resolving the number.  The tool suggests I go back and install the trial version and then deal with the issue with Adobe support.  Has anyone else experienced this issue and if so could you please share your experiences and/or resolution path?

I did my homework on this one and purchased the "Upgrade from Creative Suite 3.x" offering.  The CS3 works like a champ.  When I attempt to do the install of CS4 I get the error message when I enter the CS3 serial number.  Any thoughts, guidance or suggestions are welcomed.  I'm resistant to going the trial version route for fear that I'll not get resolution in time and have my project impacted.  I can probably get by with Fireworks, but PS is preferred and the driving reason for the upgrade.  Thanks!

  • Problems reinstalling CS3 Web Premium

I have been having problems with Dreamweaver CS3, it has been freezing on me when I go to save something. Anyway I thought if I reinstall Dreamweaver, the problem would go away. When I go to reinstall Dreamweaver, it says to insert the Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium DVD, when I already inserted that. Why is it saying that and how can I go pass that message? I am going to purchase CS4 web premium upgrade, but that will not be for a while.

Thanks for a prompt reply Bob...
I haven't got that far - when I try to install CS3 on my iMac the installation aborts and I'm getting a message that's saying I've installed the software too many times and to get in touch with Adobe...
I currently have the CS3 suite on my MacBook only and cannot deactivate it due to not having my correct administrator name/PW...
(I also have older versions of Dreamweaver and Fireworks on another older G5 Mac that is on my network - but I don't think that is contributing to the problem)

  • Adobe Web Premium CS4 setup.exe not working (upgrade)

Just bought and downloaded Web Premium upgrade, extracted with no issue, ran setup.exe and the mouse flickered but nothing happened. No service listed in taskmanager, nothing. After googling a while, I used msconfig to turn off everything possible on startup, mcafee, carbonite, video card GUIs, java runtime, etc etc. rebooted, again nothing. I'm upgrading from Studio8 which installed with no trouble. I'm pulling my hair out!
I run vista ultimate 32bit, 700gigs free space, 4gig ram, 1gig video card, 2.4ghz dual core intel chip. I also have premiere elements and Photoshop elements package installed (v7) but they installed without a hitch.
    Any suggestions?
PS: I did read through these forums and was trying to avoid editing my registry etc. When I go into add/remove programs, there is no trace of CS4 (thinking setup was running hidden or something) nor are there cs4 directories created in /programfiles/adobe.

any input on this? Adobe mail customer support recommended disabling UAC and/or using a new user account... neither worked.

  • Upgrade path for Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium

Where do I get propper informations about the upgrade path if I´m owner of a "Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web-Premium Upgrade (MAC) - Upgrade from Adobe Creative Suite 5.5"
It seems to me that I have to buy one of the CS 5.5 versions listed on the package to install the upgrade but I´m unshure about the language.
Do I have to buy a english version or am I free to choose a version provided for the EU or Switzerland (as labled on the package, too)? I am a german user with a swiss background.
It would be very kind if you could help me with this!
I´m absolutly unshure and can´t find my way in this version jungle :.-(
    Greetings, Sascha
    P.S.: At the moment I don´t want to upgrade to a CC-Version!

Okay... it seems to me that one of the following versions should be a good base for a regular update path:
    Design Prem/Std CS5.5, Web Prem/Std CS5.5, Production Prem CS5.5, Master Collection CS5.5
A regular version 5.0 shouldn´t fit the requirements. So I´m only unshure about any language restrictions?
    Thank you, Sascha

  • CS6 Design and Web Premium serial number upgrade problem

I bought the Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium upgrade to replace Design Premium CS5.5 on my computer but during installation I'm told I don't own a qualifying product. Have I purchased the wrong upgrade?

    Hi niamhy
The serial number for CS5.5 wasn't accepted as it was a volume licensing product.  I see one of my colleagues has helped you out with this.
    Thanks
