CS4 "Adjustments" tab...does it exist in CS2?

Question

This is pretty much a three part question. Bottom line is that I have taken several pictures that appear to be -- correct me if I'm not using the proper terminology -- over exposed. They're simply too bright. I have CS2 (PC) whereas my friend has CS4 (Mac). He took one of the pics and used the Adjustments tab to quickly alter the photo. He and I tried to find that same tab section on mine but couldn't. So...
1)  Does anyone know if the Adjustments/Masks tab window exists in CS2? He sent me a screenshot that shows (under Adjustments) the following:
     Default
     Darker
     Increase Contrast 1
     Increase Contrast 2
     Increase Contrast 3
     Lighten Shadows
     Lighter
     Midtones Brighter
     Midtones Darker
     Custom
2)  Assuming it doesn't exist, can anyone provide some suggestions on how to quickly improve (meaning make the picture darker) the photos in CS2? I found two options: A) Layer\New Adjustment Layer\Levels and B) Image\Adjustments\Levels. I can adjust the imput levels on the histogram around, which helps. However this is not a quick, one click method like on CS4. I can also select the Options button within that Levels window, click on Midtones, and adjust it there. A little deeper but still not quick. My friend said he adjusted the midtones when he modified the picture.
3)  Again assuming it doesn't exist and assuming a solution is provided for CS2, does anyone know how I can provide the same settings to multiple photos - i.e., batching? I have upwards of 60 pictures that I'd have to apply this to.
Regarding any feedback, I'm not proficient in Photoshop. Please explain clearly and don't assume that I know exactly where you want me to go. I'd apprecate it!

1. No.  CS2 does not include the adjustment/mask panel and built in presets but does include most of the dialogs. CS2 does, however, have the ability to save presets. You can also record an action to apply the desired preset.
2. If your friend sends you screen shots of the levels dialog with each of those settings applied, you could probably replicate them and save them.
Curves, however, is a more powerful tool than levels. Again, you could get your friend to send you some screen shots of each of those dialogs then replicate the correction curves and save them for your use. The drawback is you'd have to save them in a location you'd remember then load them when needed. (You'll run into this with saving levels presets also.)  You could get past the find/load action bit by recording/saving an action with the desired curve applied. No need to locate and load the curve as the action will apply the curve settings.

3. I really haven't explored batching...
