CS5.5 broke my CS5 motion tweens

I opened in CS5.5 my flash files previously made on CS5.
all the motion tween ( classic mode ) are broken.
lets me explain: the broken effects looks like when you have left a piece of design on one ot the 2 frames between the motion.
so it begins to make the motion but "jumps" for the ast frame.
so i canceled the motion et remade it in CS5.5 but nothing changes.
any idea how to solve it ?

I am aware of the conformation issue with audio being truncated (hence, I stated that I let it complete 100% in my initial post).  But truncated audio is not the problem I am seeing.  My audio has a beginning and it has an end.  But in between, sections of audio are missing.  There are no visible gaps because Premiere just concatenates all the sections that did not get cut into one continuous audio stream.
Ultimately my audio stream ends up only being half the size that it's supposed to be.

  • CS5 - problem with motion tween..HELP!!

    Experts out there, please help.
I have migrated from Flash CS3 to Flash CS5. Unlike in CS3, in CS5 when i use motion tween i am unable to use multiple 'ease in' and 'ease outs' in a single tween span. The tween span has to be divided by the 'split motion' command at 'properties keyframes' into smaller tween spans to further apply ease in/out to each one of them. This is not the case with CS3, you just select one keyframe after another and apply the ease in/out command, no divisions required.
Lets say i want control the accelaration and deccelaration of a bouncing ball without breaking the tween span. How do I do it in CS5 without wasting all the sweat?
Please guys i really need this
    I'll be greatful
    Thanks

The classic tween is the same as the old Motion tween was in CS3 and earlier. You can grab a keyframe and drag it along he timeline to extend or reduce the tween.
The "new" Motion tween was invented to allow for 3D tweening and to allow you to save the tween action exclusive of the elements that were being tweened, so that you can easily replicate a tween on the timeline.

  • Motion tween within a symbol (CS5)

hi, im doing an animation (in CS5) for an independent art class and i had a question
in short im trying to get a motion tween, which is within a symbol, to show up in the main animation
i have a guy who is swinging a sledge hammer using the bone tool, and his hands and the hammer are one symbol.
i want the hand in front to move up on the handle (which within the symbol is on its own layer and is already perfectly animated)
unfortunately the animation within the symbol doesn't show up outside
so im wondering how I can do this
thanks in advance for any help you can give me

    the animation isnt well organized
but here are some screen shots with the time line

the hammer with the hands is a symbol and within the symbol (2nd picture) i have the motion tween

  • Motion tween question in cs5

    Hi,
I'm trying to create an animated movie clip button in AS2 using CS5. The button should fade in/out as the mouse moves over and away from the button.
Lets say my frame rate is 30 FPS. When  I insert a motion tween on frame 1, the timeline is automatically extended by 30 frames. I then select frame 30, select the button and change the alpha value to 30%. When I drag the head marker back and forth, the button fades in and out smoothly exactly as I wanted.
But I want to create a motion tween between frame 1 and 10. So I select frame 10, insert a keyframe, select frame 5 and insert a motion tween. Then I select frame 10, select the button and change the alpha value to 30% like before. When I drag the head marker, there is no fade in/out. When the head marker is exactly over frame 10, the button is faded, but when it is on any frame between 1 and 9, it is normal.
How do I fix this problem?
    thanks for your help
    Rashinkar

If I'm following correctly, you are trying to tween between two keyframes instead of within a single tween span. If you want to create a tween between frames 1 and 10, insert a keyframe on frame 1, and then insert frames to frame 10 instead of creating a keyframe (press F5 on frame 10). Then right-click one of the frames or the object and choose Create Motion Tween. Then move the playhead to frame 10 and change the alpha.
    Hope that helps.

  • Motion tween not working - CS5

I created a symbol, placed it on the timeline, made a copy and moved it to another place on the timeline, clicked in the middle and selected motion tween. It shows a motion tween on my timeline, but when I move the playhead, there is no animation, just a start state and an end state. Help, please!

should only be the symbol on that layer, there should be no other object, be careful, a single point can do not work
If you copy the symbol in the time line then use "Create Classic Tween"
to use "Create Motion Tween" just right click on the frame in the timeline (without copying anything in the timeline) and select "Create Motion Tween", position the playhead at the frame you want and move the position of symbol

  • Free Transform breaks Motion Tweens

Sigh! Normally I try to solve problems myself... but Google isn't giving me anything about this so maybe I'm the only one in the world experiencing this particular issue.
I've used Flash for making games for years now, and I got used to using the old motion tweens for making looping animations for characters. I made the leap from AS2 to AS3 a while ago, and felt like I should try to use these new motion tweens as well since I got CS5...
I've found them completely unusable, however, due to a bizarre problem that happens when moving around objects using the Free Transform tool.
For a single character, I'll have a MovieClip with several layers, each with a 'body part' MovieClip on it, then I add the new blue-type motion tweens to all of those layers. At the end of those tweens, I use F6 to (hopefully) duplicate the starting pose; it is meant to loop, after all. Then I'll go about half way between these two keyframes and move bits around to create the A->B->A sort of 'idle' or 'breathing' animation.
The Free Transform seems dodgy though. If I select all the 'limbs' of a character at once and try to rotate them as a group, it works, but they each end up displaced a bit when I release the mouse; they get offset slightly or rotate a bit in seemingly random directions.
For example, compare these two images (it's easiest if they're opened in separate tabs, I suppose): http://scraps.fighunter.com/sparkpupagh1.png and http://scraps.fighunter.com/sparkpupagh2.png
The first one is after rotating it but before I released the mouse button, the second is what the pieces ended up like after I released the button. Most of the pieces ended up where they should be, but the head was offset slightly. This is a mild case; it's usually worse and affects all the pieces, and the slight offsets and rotations build up, too.
This in itself wouldn't be too bad - though it's frustratingly inaccurate - but it gets much, much worse the more I work on a single animation.
(Note: These strange changes don't happen if I rotate all the parts as a group if they're not also contained within new motion tweens...)
Here's a screenshot showing a frame mid-way through an animation, with one of the parts selected: http://scraps.fighunter.com/meepagh1.png
The Motion Editor is shown, though I don't use that directly.
With that feather bit selected, I then rotated it a tiny, tiny amount, but didn't *move* it at all. When I released the mouse, it ended up snapping suddenly to here: http://scraps.fighunter.com/meepagh2.png
That'd be frustrating in itself, but as you can see from the Motion Editor, it's also messed up most of the other frames in the animation, somehow. This becomes unbearable, as you can likely imagine!
If I edit the graph in the Motion Editor directly to alter the Z value and cause a rotation, it works, without problems... but this is horribly inefficient and unintuitive and not a solution. I can't animate by tweaking numbers. It's like trying to draw a portrait using an Etch-A-Sketch!
It seems to only be the Free Transform tool that creates this bizarre problem.
This has been happening since I got CS5 maybe a year or two ago, though I haven't actually had to use the animation tools much until a few days ago so that's why I'm bringing it up now. I've restarted Flash, my computer, etc, etc, many times; I also got the trial version of CS6 today to see if THAT would fix it, but the exact same thing happens in that version too.
I'm wondering whether it's my computer's fault in some way... I don't know enough about hardware and 'specs' and that sort of stuff to describe anything about it, but I'm using Windows Vista and the computer is fairly old and not exactly what I'd call reliable. I'm planning to get a new one soon, so it'd be nice if that fixed this problem... but frustrating if it doesn't.
I'll link to the CS6-flavoured .fla that those screenshots are from: http://scraps.fighunter.com/Meep.fla
I'd very much appreciate it if someone could test this to see if it's happening to only me! If I go to frame 146 (to choose one at random), and try to rotate the foot, slightly, using the Free Transform tool, it breaks in the way that I've described. (Oddly, the head feather rotates without issues on that frame...) If you were to try to do this same thing and it *doesn't* break, it might be a good sign that it's my computer's fault!
If it *does* break though... then I'd very much appreciate any help I can get from someone who understands the new motion tweens better than I do!
It'd be a shame to have to go back to Classic Tweens because of this...

  • How many motions tweens can you have on a timeline?

I'm a college student in Seattle.  We just had our mid-terms in Flash CS5.  One of the really simple questions was "How many motion tweens can you have on a timeline."  Yup.  The answer is one...... or is it?  I had a long discussion with my tutor (who is the greatest tutor in the world) and he wanted to think about it. I said to him that I thought that one motion tween was wrong because you can click on an object in the timeline, make it a motion tween, and double click it and make several motion tweens.  So, essentially, you can have more than one motion tween on a timeline.  Is anyone able to advise me because this is all about grades!

You can have quite a few motion tweens on a timeline.  You can even have them happening simultaneously (I don't know of a specific limit), as long as they are all on their own layers.  Though the more you add simultaneously the more they can weigh down the speed of things running.
If you need to prove this to someone, the easiest way is to create it and demonstrate it.  But you may want to check the exact wording of the question... it would not be beyond an examiner to throw a trick question in.

  • 3d motion tween load problem

    Hey all,
I'm having a problem which has made me struggling for two days. I hope i can get some new ideas for my problem here.
I created a fla which includes several 3d motion tween in CS5.5, when it's compiled it works perfect. But when i try to load this swf into my main project, images get blurry and distorted. Below is the screenshot of the situation. The first one is the correct one, and second one is loaded into main project. I read that scaling 3d tweens might cause such problems and tried to fix it by two solutions. As first, i tried to retransform the tween by: myContainer.transform.matrix = new Matrix(); but didn't work out. As second, i tried to rescale the stage which mentioned as a solution is some blogs.
And i don't know if it is some kind of bug as mentioned here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2258767
I'd really be glad if i can get some ideas, thanks all.

    anyone?

  • Motion Tween grayed out

I'm doing a project for class and I'm not terribly savvy with Flash, so please bear with me as I try to give you the information I hope you'll need to help me out.  I am using Flash CS5.
I am doing a kinetic typography project. I need letters to move along a path I drew with the pen tool.  I drew the path.  I have the letter.  I converted the letter to a symbol.  I created a guide layer and my pen tool path is on it.  I click on the layer with the letter and the letter is just off the stage.  I have 30 frames created and one initial keyframe in the first frame of the timeline.
When I right-click on the letter, Create Motion Tween is grayed out.  When I right click on the layer containing the letter, the Create Motion Tween is grayed out.  When I add another keyframe to the end (frame 30 in this case) and try to right-click, it's still grayed out.  I've tried clicking on the guide, the letter, recreating the symbol... What am I missing?

You're welcome.  One problem with the new tweening (hearsay on my part) is that they are not intuitive to use.  With the classic tween it is a straightforward matter of start frame, end frame, and done, and it serves most purposes folks have for timeline-based tweening.
It is possible the approach you took is not the way to go when creating motion paths for the new tweens.  Here's a link to a video that demos using the new tween with a motion path.  It appears the path is not done the same way you attempted if you have the path on a separate layer...
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-BIlFiy_DY
So it is looking more like the grayed out options were correct.
I would hope that if you showed your instructor the problem you were having you wouldn't get any disfavor shown for your solution, especially if you were taught to do what you were trying to do... and it might even teach your instructor something.

  • Motion Tween Keyframe Display

    Hello Everyone,
I faced a very strange issue while working with motion tween. I have motion tween of 100 frames. The motion tween path on the stage shows me Keyframes at every 5 frames i.e. it shows keyframe of 5,10,15,20 and so on till 100..No isues with that at all.
But when trying to motion tween the duration to 99 frame or even lesser the entire motion tween path shows me each and every Keyframe on the stage which becomes so cumborsome to handle as then I have to manage all the keyframes on the stage. Whereas, when it is 100(just a frame more) it starts showing a different display.
How can I have to same display if I were to reduce the motion tween to 99 or less, in that instance it is much easier to ease the frames in my animation..Is there any setting which controls this??
Please help geeks as your help as always been a boon for me.
    Thanks,
    Kangana
I am using Flash Professional CS5.0

    Hi Darshan,
Thanks for your response but this is not what I wanted to explain.
The duration of the layer for motion tween is at 100 frames in the first setting. On the Stage I can only see Anchor Points(Keyframes) on frames 5,10,15 and so on.. No issues with that. I have taken a screen shot of this and attached as Version-1
Now with the same file and everything being the same, If I decrease the duration of the Layer by just one frame i.e.99 or lower, then all the anchor points(i.e.keyframes) 1,2,3... become visible on the motion tween path on the Stage. I have also attached the screen shot as Version-2
I trust there would be a setting which controls this display.
    Thanks for your help...

  • Purpose of motion tweens + movie clip symbols

Hello. I've been going over several tutorials and whatnot and I'm confused on the point of movie clip symbols and motion tweens. To me using the other tweens and symbols are "easier". Can someone explain to me why they're so beneficial to have been added to CS4/CS5? Except I understand that movie clip symbols can be adjusted using the 3D tools but is that the only difference?
    Thanks so much

it's easier to fine-tune different movieclip property tweens using the motion editor than it is to control those tweens using the classic tween.  that said, for most tweens, the classic tween works well and it's easier to implement.

  • Motion Tween Can't Be Broken Up?

I have an object with 500 Frames.  I gave it a Motion Tween.  Now I want to cut it down to 100 frames, without changing the Tween duration.  Usually you can insert a blank keyframe, or remove the last 400 frames on that layer.  But since it's a Motion Tween you cannot?
WTH is going on with Flash's timeline editor, this is ridiculously unintuitive.

If your using CS5... this is how you do it.
    On a PC-
Control click on the frame you want the tween to end.... frame 100
From the drop down select "Split Motion". This will inset a key frame.
Next... hit delete... that will delete all the frames from 101 and beyond.
To clean it up... right mouse button click and select" Remove Tween".
    I hope this helps.

  • Motion Tween Text

    Hello -
I am trying to motion tween text and it is not working.  It looks jerky.  I am trying to create a "rubberband" effect on some text and two tutorials I found online used the Motion Tween.  I right click and select Motion Tween and I see the blue shading but when testing it looks like there is no tween and looks jerky.
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?  I am using Flash CS5.5
    Thanks!!

    - Only a object can be animated for each layer. (blue shading have a doted line?)
    - Is best if the text is a Symbol (select the text and press F8)

  • Trouble stopping a motion tween

    Hello,
I'm new here and to Flash CS5.  I'm having a lot of trouble stopping motion tweens.  (No troubles with a Classic Tweens).  When I have a layer with the animation, and then use the code snippets to insert a stop(); ...it won't stop. If I create a layer below the motion tween, put a keyframe in and place a stop there, it stops just fine.  However, I've been told this isn't correct, that all actions should happen on the Actions layer.  I'm sure I'm over looking something fairly simple, any help would be appreciated.  I've added a couple of screen shots to try and clairfy the situation, if you need anything else let me know
    This dosen't work
    This does work
    Thanks
    Billy

as far as flash is concerned, you can put that stop() in any layer.  layers don't even exist in your swf.  they exist in the ide strictly for user convenience.
that said, it is a good practice to centralize code as much as you can.  so, if you're coding on a timeline, putting the code in its own layer is better than spreading it across several layers.  but, your code will work without problem when spread across several layers or when placed in your background layer.
anyway, if code in your Actions layer fails and code in your background layer works, the code is not the same in each layer.

  • Moving keyframes around in motion tween?

    Hi
In Flash CS5, after you've inserted a keyframe in a motion tween, how do you move that keyframe to another frame?

Make use of MotionEditor. Select Window >> Motion Editor. from main menu.
